"Beca? I haven't heard from you in 2 years. Why are you calling me?" Jesse asked surprised that Beca had called him. He knows their breakup didn't end the greatest, especially when he said that stuff about Beca being in love with Chloe. But if Jesse was being honest with himself, he missed the short brunette. They did develop a great friendship and he was sad that they didn't have that anymore.

"This is a phone call that is long overdue. I'm in LA now and I was wondering if we could grab a cup of coffee and meet in person." Beca said with a sigh, she still had a hard time letting people in but other than Chloe, Jesse was the only other person Beca could be open with. "Uh sure why don't we meet tomorrow for a cup, I'm off and Olivia is working so I will be free." Jesse replied to her. "That sounds great let's meet at Sweet Corner Coffee and Cakes around 8." Beca said with some happiness in her voice. "Alright I'll see you then. Bye Beca." Jesse said and hung up the phone.

Beca tossed her phone on her couch and smiled. She missed having Jesse be a part of her life, and although she doesn't have romantic feelings for him, she was hoping to get her friendship back with him. She let out a deep sigh and looked down in her hands. It was a picture of her, and Chloe cuddled together that made her call him. She needed to talk to somebody about what happened and since Jesse called her out on her feelings, she decided he was the best one to talk too.

Beca walked back to the box with the picture in hand, laid the picture back down and taped the box back up. She is glad she made the phone call to Jesse but there was no way in hell she was ready to tackle her heartbreak that was and still is Chloe Beale. Once the box was taped shut, she walked into her room and went to bed.

The next morning, she got to the coffee shop early, she had a hard time sleeping last night but it was nothing new, she always had a hard time sleeping without Chloe, but she wasn't going to admit that out loud yet. She knew she had feelings for her best friend but nobody else except Jesse knew either, and until Beca could get a grip of her feelings she was going to just keep them bottled up and ignore everybody. She heard the ding from somebody entering the coffee shop and she looked up to see Jesse. She waved him over and he sat opposite of her.

"Hey Beca, you look good." He said honestly to the girl. Beca smiled back at him and said "Hey Jesse, you look good too, and happy. You look happy." Jesse's grin was big because he didn't think he was going to find love again after his heart broke over Beca. He met Olivia a year after the two splits, and he had never been happier.

Jesse ordered himself something to drink and eat then returned to the table Beca was sitting at, he studied her, as Beca was looking out the window, she seemed down noticed she hadn't been sleeping. Once he got settled Jesse decided to get right to the point. He knew he wanted to catch up with the short girl but also knew Beca was going to beat around the bush until she was pushed to talk about what has been bothering her.

"Not that I am not excited to see you Beca, but why did you call me out of the blue? I am curious about what you have been up too these past two years, but I am more curious of what caused you to call me." Jesse said knowing it was the only way to get her to talk. Beca looked at him in the eyes and saw that he genuinely cared about her. She took a big gulp of her coffee, and then a big sigh before she started speaking.

"What you said to me the night we broke up it still bothers me. I thought I only had a little crush on Chloe but that it was going to go away overtime. I also had a crush on you, and I decided to act on my feelings for you instead of her. I know I have been bi since high school and you both were someone that caught my eye. My feelings for you when we dated were real, and I did love you, but at some point, I just fell out of love with you, and I guess I fell in love with Chloe. I never told her about my feelings for her." Beca paused to gather more strength to keep going. She didn't realize she was starting to cry.

"The Bellas got invited to perform at the USO tour and everything was great, well except for Chloe flirting with an army guy named Chicago. It made me extremely jealous, and I hated the feeling, but I kept it to myself. I was asked by DJ Khalid to be his opening act, just me not the Bellas and I took it. After my performance I told myself I was going to go get the girl and when I went looking for Chloe, I saw her making out with Chicago. My heart broke into a million pieces and I've pretty much cut Chloe out of my life." Beca finished as the tears kept streaming down her face.

"Wow Beca that is a lot going on." Jesse said soothing the small woman in front of him. "First let me apologize for what I said the night we broke up. I knew by the end of our sophomore year that our relationship had changed but I didn't want to admit it. I just wanted to be with you and that was unfair of me to do. Second, I am so proud of you for following your dreams even if you are singing instead of producing." Jesse said and Beca quickly corrected him, "Oh I'm still producing, I'm just going to be doing both for a while and then switching to producing fulltime." Jesse nodded his head at her.

"As for the Chloe thing, I am sorry she kissed another person in front of you, but I don't think you should cut her out of your life. She is one of your best friends Beca. She loves you too, I know she does, she just might not realize it yet, but the feelings are there. The way you two look at each other is the same way I look at Oliva and she looks at me. I can also understand your heartbreak over it but give it some time. Distance yourself for a little bit but I know one day you'll be together." Jesse said with such conviction Beca couldn't help but believe him.

"But what if it takes her years to figure it out." Beca asked him nervously. "Don't wait around for her to figure it out, you need to put yourself out there, I'm only saying that you two are end game. I just know it and I bet the other Bellas know it too. You both aren't as sneaky with your glances and touches as you think you are." Jesse said and Beca looked at him with bewildered eyes. It caused him to just laugh at his friend, well he hopes they can be friends.

"Thanks Jesse. I know things didn't end great between us, but I was hoping we could be friends again. You're the only person who gets me beside Chloe and I miss having you in my life." Beca said messing with her hands. Jesse knew that was one of her nervous ticks and smiled at the girl. "Of course, we can be friends Becaw." Jesse laughed when he saw the brunettes face.

The two stayed a little while longer and caught up on life. Jesse told Beca all about Oliva, and Beca asked if he told Oliva about her. He nodded his head yes and told her that she knew they were meeting up today. He had expressed wanting to be friends again with Beca but nothing more. Beca smiled at Jesse, she was so happy he found somebody, and Oliva seemed like a wonderful person, she couldn't wait to meet her. It was time for Jesse to head out and they walked out of the shopping hugging each other. Neither realized the paparazzi snapped a picture of them.

Chloe's flight had landed in New York and was making her way toward baggage claim for her things. She took a taxi home but when she entered her apartment, she noticed all Beca's things were gone. Most of Amy's things were gone as well and it made the redhead very sad. She dropped her suitcase on her bed and went to the refrigerator for a drink. She saw a note with her name on it.

I paid for the apartment for the next year that way you don't have to worry about bills and can focus on vet school. Shawshank has moved to LA already and I am traveling the world so I am not sure when I will be back. Take good care of yourself until I see you again.

Chloe knew that Beca was going to move but didn't realize it was so soon. Chloe thought to herself maybe that is why Beca barely answered her because of the time zone difference. Well now Chloe was going to be more aware of what time it was in LA when she reached out to contact her again. She grabbed her drink and then went to start unpacking her things, although she didn't mind the peace and quiet, she was missing her roommates a lot. Just then she heard a ding from her phone. She walked over to it and saw Aubrey had texted her.

What photo Chloe thought out loud and before she could ask Aubrey, she saw a new text from the blonde.

Hot new artist Beca Mitchell off the market?

Chloe clicked on the link and saw a photo of Beca and Jesse hugging outside a coffee shop. She read the article that accompanied the photo about how Beca had been working in LA for a month and that this was the first time she was seen with somebody. Chloe looked for when this happened and saw that it happened earlier today. Something about seeing the photo broke Chloe's heart. She didn't think that Beca would run into Jesse's arms again especially after their breakup. Beca didn't tell her the specifics just that it was a bad breakup. Chloe couldn't focus on anything else she just stared at the photo. She didn't realize that she was crying until she saw a drop of water on her phone.

Why am I feeling this way about Beca. I should be happy for her; she is my best friend after all. Chloe thought to herself, not wanting to dive into her feelings or non-feelings she had for Beca she decided to go to bed. She was jetlagged after all and figured once she is well rested, she can figure out what is going on with Beca.
