Interview#1
A lone chair sits within the contexts of a large white room.
Kameron Evans walks on screen and sees the audience right in front of him. Walking up to the chair he soon sat down, directing his attention at the fellow people in front of him.
Kameron Evans: Hi, everyone. You all probably know me by this point, so introductions aren't really necessary. I just wanted to come out and see you all before the Episode begins.
Kameron leaned forward, intertwining his hands together as he narrows his eyes at us.
Kameron: I am the White Blade of the Rainbow Gems. This title was given to me because of my weapon and because of how the color white is a combination of the all the colors in a rainbow, if that wasn't obvious enough. I am the ninth member of the Rainbow Gems. And...I've been contradicting myself a lot, but I'm now well aware that most of you might not want to hear that from me. But then again, Humans contradict themselves all the time, and I'm no different in that regard.
Exhaling out some air, Kameron straightened his back against the chair and placed his hands in his pockets.
Kameron: This Life I have isn't an easy one, but...now...I think I've finally gotten the clarity I needed. It was...a long, long process to get to this point. There were definitely a lot of hiccups along the way, but...now, now I think I truly understand what kind of person I want to be. You can blame my Author for how I turned out, but...I am glad I'm getting better one step at a time.
Kameron then stood up from the chair. He closes his eyes and slowly reopens them.
Kameron: That's all I'm willing to say now. Enjoy the Episode.
Kameron then turned and walked off-screen.
Episode 64: I've Got Your Back
November 26th 10:30 p.m.
Lying in bed Kameron locked his gaze at the ceiling in his room. His eyes blinked while he continued looking at the blank ceiling. He should already be asleep at this point. But...he wasn't.
Tomorrow was a big day. Tomorrow...he returns to school. The very thought of it sent a surge through his body, giving him a plethora of various actions taking place in his mind. He had to go back. His education was still important to him, but...when he wakes up tomorrow...will the scenarios play out exactly how he thinks they will?
Shutting his eyes for a brief moment he raised himself up before pulling off his blanket and placing his feet on the carpet. Pushing himself off from his bed he walked over to his bedroom door and headed out.
Entering the hallway he closed his door and made his way to the left. Quietly traversing through the hallway he soon approached a large door. Looking at it he slowly raised up his hand before balling it into a fist. He should've done this long ago. He should've done this on the other doors too, but he didn't. Well...now was the time to make that change.
*Knock, knock, knock, knock, knock*
Putting his hand down he took a step back. After waiting a moment his ears heard the sound of the doorknob twisting before the door opened up.
On the other side was his father, wearing white pajamas with light blue birds on them.
"Kameron?" Green said as he let out a yawn.
"Hi, dad." Kameron replied. He then raised up his arms and held them in his hands. "I know it's late, but...I want to talk to you and mom. Is she awake?"
Looking at his son, Green saw the type of body language he was showing. The concern in his voice... Without a word he gave Kameron a nod and moved to the side, allowing him to enter the room.
Within the room was a large Castle-sized bed at the center with a white-colored blanket covered in various colored shapes on it. On the walls were pictures of Green and Christie during their wedding, the day Kameron was born, and both Green and Christie holding Kameron in a blanket. Alongside that were certificates of Anthropology and Math.
On the Castle-sized bed was Christie, whom was reading a book. Her eyes then looked up to see her son Kameron, making her immediately put her bookmark into the book before closing it.
"Kameron? What's the matter? Are you okay?" She asked as she got out of bed and walked over to him.
Kameron locked his eyes onto his mom as she placed both of her hands on her cheeks. "I wanted to talk to the both of you. Is that okay?" He said softly.
A wave of concern flew around Christie as Green stepped up to them, showing her his own concerned expression. The look in Kameron's eyes... She looked at her husband and turned back to her son.
"Of course it is." Christie replied in a motherly tone.
Removing her hands off of her son's face Christie, Kameron, and Green walked over to the bed and sat down on it.
"What is it you wanted to talk about?" Christie asked.
Sitting in-between his parents, Kameron brought up his hands and intertwined his fingers together. His eyes were on his hands as he gathered his thoughts. Turning his head he glanced at both of his parents, waiting for him to speak. Tightening his grip on his hands he slowly decreased his grip and opened his mouth. "I'm sorry."
"What are you apologizing for?" Green asked.
"For what happened during our fight with the Cluster. And for making you both worry too much." Kameron replied.
Green lifted his hand and placed it onto his son's shoulder. Green watched Kameron turn to him as he opened his mouth. "Kameron. A lot was happening during that time. And to be fair, we all allowed you to caring out what you needed to do. As your father I should've helped you during that time and not allow you to face it alone, but...this was your wish and what you truly wanted to do. I was not going to go against your decisions. And it is once again a miracle that you survived, but understand that I will not allow you to do something that reckless again. Understand?"
Kameron gave him a nod.
"We worry because we care, Kameron. That's our job as parents." Christie said, making Kameron turn his head to her. "I'm worried about you everyday since you were born. Not just me, everyone in the family. Understand that if you're troubled, come to us. Talk to us. Please don't push us away."
Kameron's lips stretched into a frown. Adverting his eyes from his mother he directed them onto the floor. Here he was talking to his parents and yet the very thought of actually doing it never happened before. They were right in their words, no doubt about that, but as Kameron continued looking at the floor he gritted his teeth. It was so, so stupid of him to not do this earlier when he had so many opportunities to do so.
"Kameron." Green said, making his son look at him. "It's a very human response after you lose someone very dear to you. Do not hurt yourself over coming to us after realizing your mistakes. You are not the only one who has been through that. Understand?"
Kameron nodded.
"It takes patience and time for someone to heal through mental and emotional health. It doesn't go away so easily. And ignoring it only increases them, turning you into someone you don't want to be." Green said as he placed a hand onto Kameron's shoulder. "You may continue to see Dr. Waybright if you wish, but acknowledge that your family is here too to help you just as you help us when we need you. You are not alone in this complicated world, okay?"
Kameron's lips soon shifted into a small smile as he looked at his dad. Green returned his smile as they stood up. Without a word both father and son embraced each other. At times like this...Kameron couldn't help but be glad his dad was still around. They soon separated from their embrace right as Green ruffled his son's hair.
"Is your father the only one who gets a hug?" Christie pouted as she stood up.
Snickering, Kameron turned to his mother and embraced her. They both released a sigh of relief as they slowly increased their hug strength. They both then released themselves from each other right before Kameron leaned forward, kissing his mother's cheek.
"Los amo a ambos." Kameron said in Spanish.
"Nosotras tambien te amamos." Christie replied in Spanish.
"Now go to bed. You have school in the morning." Green added.
Kameron turned to his father and nodded. He then walked over to the door and quietly exited out of the room.
November 27th 7:40 a.m.
Pulling up to Dewey High School, Kameron slowed his speed down and maneuvered his car into an open parking spot near the entrance. Parking the car he turned off his engine and took off his seat-belt just before he got out. Lapis and Steven soon got out of the car too. As they did Steven handed his brother his bookbag, which Kameron quickly grabbed and placed on. Closing their doors Kameron locked his car and the trio made their way to the sidewalk.
"So...Big brother. Glad to be back?" Steven asked.
Turning his eyes onto the school's front entrance Kameron couldn't help but crack a smile. But...his smile soon disappeared.
"A little bit. Though I'm more concerned on what happens after I step inside." Kameron replied as they walked.
"It'll be fine." Lapis assured. "Besides, you know the others aren't gonna hold it against you."
Kameron hummed at her words. That part would be true. But...Kameron could only fabricate on what could happen once he sees his friends again. What should he say? What are they going to say to him? What will come after that? The scenarios kept repeating in his head over and over like a record-player.
Turning her eyes to see Kameron's uncertainty Lapis rolled her eyes and took his hand into her own. In doing so made him turn his head to her as she softly smiled at him.
"Don't overthink this. Whatever happens, happens. I'm right here with you when it happens." Lapis said softly.
Kameron felt his cheeks burn at Lapis' hand in his. Her words soothed his worries like the ocean waters flowing against the sands on a beach. His lips could help but smile at her as he increased his grip on her hand, but not to overdo it.
Steven smiled at his brother and Lapis. These pass nine days...were a little tough without him. But Kameron was back again and this time he was glad his brother was happy. There was a lot to catch up on for him, no doubt about that, but Steven'll help him get there when he was needed.
"EVANS!"
The happy vibe the trio felt soon went away at the sound of that voice. They each turned around to see Zac Armstrong and Kevin Turner standing near Kevin's Himitsu X-12. Zac was glaring furiously at them while Kevin merely smirked. Both of them soon closed the doors of the car and walked up to the trio.
Seriously? Now? Now of all times does this have to happen? Kameron literally just go back to school and he hasn't even gotten through the front entrance yet.
Letting go of Lapis' hand Kameron groaned as he stepped up to Armstrong. Just as he was gonna ask him what he wanted Zac pushed him to the ground without warning, leaving Lapis and Steven stunned at his actions.
"This is all your fault!" Zac yelled.
"What are you talking about?" Kameron replied as he stood back up.
Right as he did Zac stepped up and grabbed his jacket, pulling Kameron closer to his face. His glare tightened even more with veins pulsing around his head as he stared at the freak.
"The coach kicked me off the team!" Zac yelled.
Kameron blinked at the jock before narrowing his eyes. "How is that my fault?"
"Because of your stupid girlfriend!" Zac addressed. " Your girlfriend and freak#2 got me suspended! So you gotta pay up, freak!"
"Honestly, you and that little twerp shouldn't even come to this school at all." Kevin added as he adjusted his hair. "Especially that blue girl. This school is for humans only, not aliens."
Lapis soon glared at both Armstrong and Turner. Steven did the same while growling at Turner. Who the hell did this guy think he is? Treating people like this and satisfying his own stupid ego.
Gritting her teeth Lapis' eyes started glowing. "You both have five seconds to let go of Kameron and walk away."
Neither Armstrong or Turner were intimidated by her glare. However...Steven was, especially considering what she was capable of. Kameron turned around to see Lapis' death glare. A small sense of fear started to surge within him. He wasn't scared of Lapis, but more concerned on what she was gonna do.
Zac huffed as he tossed Kameron to the ground. "Or what? I'm not afraid of some-"
Whatever words Zac was about to say were stopped as Lapis dashed up to him and leaped into the air before kicking him right in the face.
Time felt like slowly down at that very moment. Kameron, Steven, and Kevin all watched Zac flying through the air.
Holy shit... - Z said.
Kameron couldn't agree more. Watching Lapis deliver that kick was...wow. At that moment there weren't really any words to say at such a sight.
Zac soon crashed onto the ground, gawking at how hard he impacted and bounced slightly up before coming back down.
Lapis landed back on the ground and softened her grip on her bag. Her eyes began to dim as she marched up to Kevin, grabbing his shirt and pulling him dangerously close to her face.
"Take your bitch and move on before I take your car and end the both of you." Lapis said with venom in her voice.
Kevin gulped at her with sweat falling down his face. The look she was giving him was a very, very clear indication on not to mess with her at all. And so he quickly nodded as Lapis released her grip on him as he ran over to Zac.
With Kevin helping him up Zac growled at Lapis.
She was unfazed by it as she turned around and walked up to Kameron, offering him her hand. Without a verbal response Kameron accepted it as she helped him up.
"This isn't over, freaks!" Zac yelled.
"Right now it is." Lapis replied. "As much as me and my boyfriend would like to kick your asses, we're on school grounds. If you want to settle this, name the time and place. Otherwise, shut up and move along."
Zac growled even more, but his animalistic growls were then halted by a hand on his shoulder. Turning his head he saw Kevin giving him narrowed while shaking his head.
Even though he wanted to continue with this, Zac clicked his tongue. As much as he wants this to resume, this wasn't the time. And so both him and Kevin glared at the freaks while heading over to the front entrance.
Watching them leave Lapis then turned to Kameron, "You okay?"
Kameron nodded. "I'll live. But I'm more surprised on that kick you performed. Normally you'd use your powers without a second thought."
Lapis soon smirked at him, "A lot happened after nine days. Chelsea taught me a few moves. She had a pretty good teacher."
Kameron smiled at her, but hearing Chelsea's name made the smile lessen. There was definitely gonna be hell to pay when he sees her again.
"Uh, guys." Steven called. "We gotta go. The bell is gonna ring any minute."
Hearing him Kameron and Lapis jogged toward the front entrance with Steven not far behind.
November 27th 10:00 p.m.
*Ring Ring*
At the sound of the bell First Period was over.
Gathering his things and putting them into his bookbag Kameron placed it on and headed out the door with Lapis and the others.
Coming back to Art Class was great. Mr. Rayner was very thrilled to have one of is best students back, though that didn't mean he was going to overlook the assignments that Kameron had missed out on. Kameron was a little annoyed, but understood since there was gonna be a truckload of homework for him to catch up to, but that's the price for saving the world. Even if you save people and prevent catastrophes from occurring, you still have to do school work.
Heading to Second Period Kameron gripped onto his strap. The moment was coming and growing with every second he walked.
Switch time? - Z asked.
'Not now.' Kameron replied in thought.
We had a deal. - Z reminded.
'I'm aware of it. Just let me see them and then our deal will happen. Got it?' Kameron replied.
Ugh. Fine. - Z groaned.
Heading outside Kameron and Lapis made their way to the gym. Once they both got inside they went their separate ways to get to the locker-rooms.
Going into the boys' locker-room Kameron took notice of Lars and Ronaldo getting ready. When both boys turned their heads at the sound of the door they both froze. Right at the entrance was him...their best friend, awake and in the flesh. Seeing them Kameron gave them both a wave and a small grin, but right as he walked up to them Ronaldo ran up and embraced Kameron.
"You're here! You're here, you're here, you're here!" Ronaldo cheered as a fountain of tears exited his eyes.
Kameron grunted at the force of his friends affections, though he tolerated it as he smiled at Ronaldo. However, as touching as this reunion was, there was only one small setback...
"Good to see you too, Ronney. But I'm not very comfortable getting hugged with you only in your underwear." Kameron said.
Realizing was Kameron just said Ronaldo's face immediately burned as he quickly released his friend while covering himself.
"Ack! Sorry, my bad!" Ronaldo replied.
Kameron giggled a bit from his reaction before turning his eyes onto Lars. As he did he noticed how Lars looked a little more...muscular than the last time he saw him.
"Hey, man. You've been working out?" Kameron asked, walking up to Lars.
Without a verbal response Lars walked up to Kameron and wrapped his arms around him. Stunned by his action Kameron quickly returned it.
"Yeah... Had to keep myself busy." Lars replied.
Kameron patted his back as they let go of each other. Once they did the two shared a fist-bump.
"I'm sorry for making you all worry." Kameron said.
"Dude, we all knew you'd wake up. The hero of Earth ain't gonna go down that easily." Ronaldo replied as he put on his gym uniform.
Kameron smirked as he went and opened up his locker. "I'm not a hero, Ronney. I'm a guy who does what needs to be done." He added as he took off his bookbag and started changing.
"Yeah, well...try not to get yourself killed again." Lars said as he resumed changing.
"Can't make that promise. But I'll try not to get myself killed on purpose." Kameron replied.
Getting their uniforms on the guys went out the door, but as they did Zac, Kevin, and their group popped in. Walking passed them neither group said a word as the trio walked into the gym while their enemies went into the locker-room.
Making their way toward the center of the gym the boys quickly spotted the girls on the benches. Going up to them Chelsea got up from her seat and marched right up to the guys. A harsh glare covered her face as stood dangerously close to Kameron. Locking eyes with her Kameron softly looked at her while Chelsea's glare increased.
"You're mad." Kameron said.
"Mad doesn't being to cover it." Chelsea replied, seething through her teeth.
Figuring that a punishment was to come Kameron held his arms out. "I deserve it. Hit me with your best shot."
Gripping her hands Chelsea gritted her teeth even harder. Her body shook began to shake the more she glared at him. Lifting her leg everyone watched, thinking a kick was going to come to Kameron. But...she lowered her leg and instead embraced him.
A small gasp exited Kameron. He was expecting a kick to the stomach. A kick to the groin. Her stomping on his foot. But...none of those outcomes came. Instead...his punishment was much softer than he realized.
"You're a fucking idiot." Chelsea said as she tightened her grip. "A master shouldn't leave their students behind. You better make this up to me."
Kameron hummed as he returned her affection. "When you're free, how about I give you more lessons?"
Chelsea soon released herself from him as she wiped her eye. But she then punched Kameron's arm, making him flinch. Seeing his reaction made her grin as he rubbed his arm.
"Sure. I'll be glad to properly kick your ass when I see my teacher again. The only reason you're getting off easy is because my sister's here." Chelsea replied.
Kameron couldn't argue with that. And speaking of her sister Kameron looked over to the other girls and approached them. Right as he attempted to speak Angela stepped up and grabbed his cheek.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!" Kameron yelled through her grip.
"Do you have any idea how worried sick we were about you?" Angela said firmly.
"I'm sorry, Ang. I'm sorry." Kameron whined.
Angela soon released his cheek and huffed. But afterwards she embraced him. "Sorry, not sorry."
Kameron smiled as she soon released him.
"Glad to see you're okay." Sadie said as she walked up to him. Though as she looked at him she looked a little uncertain for a moment, "You...are okay, right?"
"Yeah, I'm okay." Kameron replied. "No side-effects or drawbacks. Except a lack of energy, but I'll deal."
Sadie smiled as they shared a short hug.
Once they were done Scarlett and Brittney approached him and without a word both girls pressed their lips onto his cheeks, stunning him and burning his cheeks. Both girls soon pulled away before Scarlett flicked his nose, making him flinch.
"That's for making us worry, Double-Eyes." Scarlett said as she wiped her eyes. "But...I am happy to see you again."
"Totes." Brittney added. "It's really good to see you again."
As Kameron rubbed his nose his lips stretched into a smile. Not exactly the type of reunion he thought would go down, but regardless, he was with his friends again. At the moment...that's all that mattered to him.
"Yo, Evans!"
And just like this morning...the positive and joyful vibe he was feeling began to drain at the sound of that voice.
Kameron and his friends turned their head to see Zac, Kevin and their crew approaching them. Just when Kameron attempted to step up both Lars and Chelsea stepped up to the bullies with narrowed eyes.
"Back off, Armstrong." Lars said with confidence.
"Badass just got back. You wanna mess with him, you gotta go though us." Chelsea added.
"All of us." Lapis added as her and the others stood up to the bullies with narrowed eyes.
Kameron could only silently watch his friends standing up for him as he too gave the bullies narrowed eyes. Honestly...this was a strange change of direction he was witnessing. Normally it was the other way around, but right now...it was his turn to be protected.
"Relax, dweebs. As much as I want a brawl, I have a different suggestion in mind." Zac replied. "I've had it with you dorks, so what do you say we all settle this in a different way?"
"Whatever you're selling, we're not buying." Sadie said firmly.
Kevin scoffed, "Typical. Here we are, hoping to finally settle the score once and for all. And yet, you wimps can't even accept that? You really think your better and smarter than us, don't you?"
"Who said we were?" Lars asked. "We're not better than any of you jerks. And we're not smarter than anyone in this school. All we have to do is the homework. That's it. If everyone just put in the effort into the stupid homework then things would be different. Hell, I don't like doing homework, but I do it anyway so I can pass and not get held back."
"That's all that any of us can do." Angela added. "Why is it so hard for you, jerks? If you're struggling I can get some tutors to help you. All you have to do is ask. Is it really that hard to ask for help? Because apparently, in this day in age, is it."
Zac immediately glared at her as he balled his fists, but Kevin quickly put his hand out in front of him.
"Exactly how would we settle this?" Kameron asked, walking up to the others.
His friends turned around to him with shocked expressions.
"Kameron, no." Brittney said.
"I don't want an endless cycle going on between all of us." Kameron replied. "And as much as these bullies suck, we can at least hear them out on how to end all of this."
Again, was Kameron crazy? But...when he friends friends actually put some thought into it, this whole repetitive action was going on long enough. Just ignoring Zac, Kevin, and their group wasn't enough anymore. Getting into conflict with them on school grounds was off-limits too. So there had to be a way to end this and finally move on.
Turning back to the bullies the others continued to glare at them, but saw the point Kameron brought up.
"Exactly how should we settle this?" Lapis asked.
"A race." Zac simply answered.
"A race?" Ronaldo questioned.
"Yeah, dumbass. A race." Kevin replied. "This weekend. Midnight. Downtown at Fountain Plaza. We all settle this with a race."
"Street racing is illegal-" Angela tried to say.
"Deal." Chelsea interrupted.
Angela soon gasped and glared at her sister.
"That's fair." Kameron said as he passed his friends and walked up to the bullies. "What are the wages for the winners and losers?"
Zac walked up to the freak, locking his eyes with him. "When me and my friends win, you, your blue girlfriend, and your brother have to drop out. Plus I get your car."
Kameron turned to Lapis as she narrowed her eyes, but slowly nodded. Kameron then turned his attention back onto Zac.
"Fine. But when me and my friends win, you and your friends have to stop messing with people. And I'll take Kevin's car."
Kevin's eyes shot open as he turned to both Zac and Kameron. "No way! My car is one of a kind. It's the only one in the world. My parents got me that car for my birthday. Ain't no way-"
"Deal." Zac replied, interrupting his friend and leaving him flabbergasted.
November 27th 12:00 p.m.
On the roof of the school Kameron and his friends sat around together enjoying their lunches. Luckily the weather wasn't as cold as it was previously. However there was one person who wasn't in the best of moods at the moment.
"Do you all have any idea what we just agreed too and why it's a bad idea?" Angela asked as she walked around her friends while taking a bite out of her sandwich. After chewing it and swallowing the chunks she stopped and started walking in the opposite direction. "Street racing is illegal. It's illegal! It's illegal for a reason and yet all of us agreed to do it."
Angela soon turned her eyes onto her sister and Kameron. "Chelsea. Our mother is a cop. Kameron, your sister Amber is a cop. Do you know what will happen if they catch us? Grounded for life! Doesn't that sound so, so awesome?"
Putting her lunch down Brittney stood up and walked over to the stressed-filled School Council President. Placing a gentle hand on her shoulder Brittney was able to get Angela to stop and look at her.
"We're gonna be fine." Brittney assured. "Besides, this is the best way to finally get Zac off everyone's back."
"Brittney. There are other ways to handle this. Anything can happen at a street race. What if we get caught? What if we end up in juvie? Do you know how that's gonna affect all of our lives? Our school records? There has to be a different way to-"
Brittney soon leaned forward, pressing her lips against Angela's. This stopped Angela from talking and made her freeze in place. Everyone around them stared at the scene. There was a moment of silence as they continued watch such a degree of affection before Brittney eventually pulled her face away from Angela's.
"You need to stop worrying so much." Brittney said sweetly. "We're gonna be fine, baby."
Angela blinked at her a few times right as her face began to burn. She then turned to the others watching them, making her look down. Great... Just great... As if today wasn't complicated enough.
Seeing her distress Brittney took her hand and guided her back to the others. They both stood in front of them as Angela's body started shaking. They can't hide it anymore... Now...their secret had been revealed. What going to come next...?
Then the collected sounds of clapping rung in her ears. A gasp exited Angela as she raised her head to see her friends and her sister clapping with smiles across their faces. She blinked at them as Brittney removed her hand from her girlfriend and placed it around her hip. Turning her head Angela saw Brittney smile at her once more and pecked her lips. This was not the reaction she was expecting at all, yet a surge of warmth spread itself through her heart, lessening her worries.
The clapping soon came to an end as Angela and Brittney sat back down.
"Um... Uh... I... I...can explain. I...me...and Brittney...umm..." Angela stuttered.
"We know." Sadie replied.
Angela blinked.
"It wasn't hard to see how close you two were." Scarlett said. "Besides, there were a couple of signs getting dropped. We all just wanted to wait until you both wanted to share it."
Angela blinked again before turning her eyes onto her sister. "What are your thoughts about this?"
Chelsea shrugged. "I don't decide what the heart wants, sis. That's your choice. I have no say in it. Besides, you're cute when you blush."
Angela moaned as she adverted her eyes.
Well ain't that sweet. - Z said. Can I finally have my turn?
Rolling his eyes Kameron sighed and cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention.
"There something I need to tell you guys." Kameron said. "I've been...keeping this to myself for a while, but...now I don't wish to hide it from you all anymore."
His friends looked at him with confusion. Lapis on the other-hand knew what was going to happen. They actually talked about this before coming to school. Placing a hand over his, they both looked at each other. With a silent nod they both turned their eyes onto the others.
"Is this about you and Lapis dating?" Lars asked.
Kameron shook his head. Closing his eyes his Gemstone soon began illuminating a green glow, only not so bright. The others watched in awe at him while Lapis look at him with slight worry. Soon the green light began to dim and as he opened his eyes both his skin and left eye turned green.
"Whoa..." Ronaldo said in awe. "Dude, I have so many questions. One: Why are you able to do that? Two: How are you able to do that? Three: Why are you deciding now to show us?"
"Kameron's" lips slowly stretched into a sinister grin. He then raised himself up, looking down at his friends.
"Uh, Badass? You're kinda creeping us out." Chelsea said uncomfortably.
A few chuckles exited "Kameron's" mouth as he raised up his hand. With a snap of his fingers several crystal tendrils rose up from the cement. Each one rapidly went out and grabbed each one of his friends by their necks and raised them up high into the air.
Lapis gasped at what was happening and quickly stood up. "Z! What are you doing?"
"Relax, Lapis. This isn't what you think. I'm just having a little fun." Z replied as he walked up to his captured friends.
"Kameron! What are you doing!?" Lars yelled.
"Yeah! If this is a joke, it's not funny!" Sadie added.
Z raised up his hand and pointed out his index finger. Slowly pointing it to the ground made the tendrils slowly lower themselves down until everyone was able to have their feet touch the ground. Once they were able to Z slowly walked up to them with his hands in his hoodie jacket.
"Sorry, everyone. I just wanted to mess with you all a little." Z replied.
The friends gasp at the sound of his voice.
"Whoa. Kameron, how are you able to do that with your voice?" Ronaldo asked.
Z shook his head. "Sorry to upset you all, but Kameron isn't here right now. My name is Z. Got it memorized?"
Hearing him say that made the friends look at him with confusion.
"What are talking about?" Scarlett asked.
"I've been wanting to meet you all after I was born, but my other side was afraid of what I would do to you all." Z replied. "Right now is a little overboard for our first meeting, but I wanted you all to see how different I am from Kameron."
Stopping in front of his friends Z brought out his hand and snapped his fingers again. As he did the grip on each of his friends' neck were released, dropping them to their knees. Most of them began to cough once they were able to breath again, but once they were able to get a hold of their breathing they looked up at Z, who was still smiling at them.
"What...*huff* exactly are you, Z?" Chelsea asked as she stood up.
Z chuckled at her and took a breath.
[Song Start]
Z: I ain't someone strong, if that's what you're thinking.
I was brought up at the moment of breaking~
What I'm saying isn't a lie.
Kameron really wanted to die.
What I am is the monster he created.
Ooooohhhhh...YEEEEAAAAHHHHH!~
Z then spun himself around and raised a finger to the sky.
Who am I?
I'm a dead guy walking~
Won't hide anymore. I'm a dead guy walking~
If you can't already tell, I'm here to dance and then it's farewell.
Sending Zac to hell by a dead guyyyy walking.
Soon Z lowered his arm down and his smile began to disappear while looking at the others.
I wish my other half was stronger.
Even since that day Life got a little harder~
We are not always good!
Everyone understood!
I wish we've met before.
To convince him life ain't war!
So when you look at me,
who do you really see?
[Song End]
Finishing his singing Z lowered himself down onto one knee in front of the others while planting a hand on the ground.
"I'm positive you all can understand what kind of person I really am from my actions alone. I don't want your pity or your sympathy, but...for making you all worry over my other self's stupidity, we will both agree to do any favor that you ask of us. Whatever you want, we'll do it." Z said as he lowered is head.
The others merely stared at him as they looked among each other. Each of them were unsure on what to do at this point. Even as they looked at Lapis she herself was unsure about all of this, though she hadn't forgotten the promise Kameron and Z made to her. That was their own agreement to her, but...the others? Sure, Z surprised them with his uncouth introduction, but...now he wants to favors for them?
Scarlett wordlessly walked up to Z. She then stopped in front of him and got down on one knee. "Raise your head."
Hearing her voice Z did what he was told.
"Z. I'm not entirely sure how you came to be and you don't have to explain it to us. But...if you really want to do something for us, then keep on living. Both you and Kameron. Got it?" Scarlett said.
"Is that what you want personally?" Z replied.
Scarlett nodded. "And...it would help a little by talking to us more when something's on your mind."
Z smirked. "Deal." He then looked at the others as they approached him.
"If something comes up then I'll be sure to ask you, but...all we want is just you alive, well, and happy." Angela said with a grin.
"Same. You're like a really, really interesting guy, Z, Kameron, whatever." Brittney added.
"Plus you're always there to help us when we need it." Lars added. "So...if it's a favor you want, then let us have your back this time. Both Kameron and you."
Z blinked at them while slowly picking himself from the ground. His lips then stretched into a soft grin as he looked at his closest friends.
Lapis soon walked up next to him and placed her hand in his, making him turn to her to see her smile.
"You've helped us. Let us help you. Or better yet, we help each other. Fair?" Lapis said.
Z smirked, "I can deal with that."
December 3rd 12:00 a.m.
Fountain Plaza. Right at the center of Destiny City was a massive fountain spraying huge bursts of water by the second. Random-colored lights shined out of it after each spray, lighting up the area with a variety of colors. More than that, there were four large street corners in each direction, leading you Uptown, further Downtown, the Far East, or the Far West. But each direction would lead you back to the fountain.
On the street leading further Downtown The K-11 10,000 stood on the left side of the road while Kevin's Himitsu X-12 stood on the right side. On both sides of the sidewalk various people stood around, anxious to see the most interesting race of a lifetime.
"Yo!"
Hearing that voice Z and the others turned to see the Cool Kids coming up to them.
"Whoa, Kameron. What's with the Lime change?" Jenny asked.
"Long story." Z replied.
"That's new." Buck said without much emotion.
"Totally..." Sour Cream said in awe. "Dude, what's going with you?"
"It's hard to explain, but I'd be more interested in who's behind my wheels than myself." Z replied, pointing his thumb at his car.
The Cool Kids turned their heads at the car and their eyes shot open to see Lars Barriga behind the wheel.
"Lars!?" Jenny questioned.
Lars turned his head to them, "S'up."
"I didn't know he could drive." Sour Cream said.
"He can't." Sadie replied, pushing herself off of the wall she was on. "Neither could most of us, so Z took us out for some training."
The Cool kids turned to him with confused expressions.
"It's a nickname." Z said as he walked up to Lars and took off his goggles. "Barriga. Here. You can't look cool without an added bonus." He added, handing Lars the goggles.
Lars looked down at the goggles and up at Z. Without a word he took the goggles and put them on.
Stepping away from the car Z walked back to the others as Lars placed both of his hands on the wheel, gripping it tightly.
Zac and Kevin huffed at the losers while looking at one of their boys in the car. The guy nodded his head while revving up the engine.
Looking up both drivers locked their eyes onto the street light. Both gripped their wheels as tight as they could. Lars sucked in some air while his opponent gritted his teeth. Then...the light turned green.
In a fraction of a second both drivers hit the accelerator, rocketing through the streets. Side by side both cars burst through the concrete. The roars of their engines entered their ears at they locked their eyes onto the road.
The opponent added some pressure onto the accelerator, making the Himitsu X-12 go a little further than the K-11 10,000. The opponent smirked, adding even more pressure to the car while dodging the vehicles ahead of him.
Lars quickly turned the wheel, dodging the passing vehicles as he increased his speed. Narrowing his eyes he increased his speed even more and getting neck and neck with his opponent. Up ahead both drivers saw two turning points leading to two different directions. Separating themselves Lars quickly went to the left while his opponent went to the right.
Turning the wheel Lars shifted the car, making it rapidly slide through the turning point and putting himself back onto a straight road. Pushing his foot onto the accelerator even further greatly increased his speed. He couldn't help but crack a smile at how fast he was going. Here he was driving his best friend's car and getting involved in street racing. If this happened like a month ago there was no way he would even consider doing something like this, but that was the old him. Behind the wheel was a new Lars Barriga. Someone who had something on the line and would do his best to get it done.
Hitting the gas one more time pushed the car even faster. Luckily there weren't any cars coming his directions, so the only thing Lars had to do was to keep his eyes locked on the road. Coming to another turning point Lars quickly jerked the wheel and slowed his speed down, drifting along the curves of the smooth road before hitting the accelerator at full-force once he straightened the car.
Keeping his eyes open he saw his friends up ahead, but there were no signs of his opponent. Quickly looking up at the rear mirror he saw his opponent quickly catching up to him, but there was no point in worrying about it as Lars began to slow the car down right into front of the stoplight while the opponent started to slow down as well. Coming to a complete stop right as the opponent did, Lars turned the engine off, got out of the car, and raised his fist up high.
"The first lap is over!" Ronaldo announced. "The score is 1 to 0."
"Pssh. No big deal." Lars said as he raised up the goggles. "I was more into the the rush than the race."
His friends giggled at his attempt at being cool. Though...that line actually hit the nail on the board.
The opponent soon got out of the car and approached Zac and Kevin. "I'm sorry, man. There were too many cars getting in my way-"
"Shut up!" Zac said angerly.
"Get out of here. I'll send you the bill if you messed up my ride." Kevin added with anger.
The opponent dropped his head and gave them the keys before walking away.
December 3rd 12:30 a.m.
On the streets heading Uptown both cars stormed off at blistering speeds.
Behind the wheel of the K-11 10,000 was Sadie. Increasing her speed she pushed herself way ahead of her opponent as she smiled at the tremendous speed she was experiencing at the moment through Z/Kameron's goggles.
'Thank the stars for seat modification adjustments!' Sadie screamed in her head as she passed several cars.
Keeping her eyes locked on the road she saw a large turning point coming up to her right, but at the same time she quickly shifted her eyes from left to right and spotted two large trucks coming up from opposite directions. Under normal circumstances this would be the part where she'd slow down. You know, allow the behemoths of vehicles to pass and wait patiently until it's safe to cross, but tonight ain't one of those nights. No... Oh, no, no, no, no, no. In the situation her and her friends were in, there wasn't any giving moment to stop.
Clicking her tongue Sadie slammed her foot onto the accelerator, giving her a huge surge of speed. Little by little the trucks were coming in as she made her way into the middle of the street. Coming right into the center the K-11 10,000 squeezed right through the trucks without any speed lost and made it's way to the turning point.
Jerking the wheel Sadie shifted the car, turning it to the left while slowly her speed. The car drifted along the street with such precision, leaving fresh tracks behind the more it went. Then as she was coming out of the turning point Sadie pressed onto the acceleration so hard it jolted the car forward, sending her flying in the air.
"WWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Sadie screamed.
The K-11 10,000 then fell right back onto the ground, but not before giving out a small jump, giving Sadie some extra speed if she didn't have enough already.
Straight ahead she was gaining more speed going downhill. Everyone on the sidewalk turned their heads to see her coming down, but also seeing her opponent catching up to her. More and more the crowds watched the cars coming down right as they slowed their speed...and Sadie coming in to a dead-stop first with her opponent not far behind.
Getting out of the car Sadie screamed in pure unbounded as she ran up to her friends. "WOW! WHAT A RUSH!"
"Second lap is over!" Ronaldo announced. "The score is now 2 to 0."
The opponent came out of Kevin's car and walked over to Zac and Kevin.
"What the hell is your problem? Where'd you learn to drive?" Zac yelled.
"I'm not that good at drifting-" The opponent tried to say.
"Save it!" Kevin yelled. "Get out of here and never show your face at school again!"
The opponent started whimpering and ran away crying.
December 3rd 1:00 a.m.
Starting up their engines on the Far East Chelsea looked down at Z/Kameron's goggles around her neck. Her lips smirked at it as she released from her grip and turned her head to Kevin.
Taking a breath Kevin looked at the goth, the Student Council President, and her girlfriend with a smirk.
"You know, it's not everyday I get to push my baby against three beautiful girls." Kevin said smoothly.
"Up your ass, bitch-boy." Chelsea replied as she show him the bird.
"I'm really not comfortable taking part in this." Angela said nervously in the passenger-seat.
"C'mon, baby. Get stoked." Brittney replied in the third-seat.
Kevin scoffed. "You bitches are about to eat my dust." He added, turning his head to the light.
The Park Sisters and Star turned their heads to the light.
The light then flashed green, making both drivers punch it at the last second. With such speed Angela held onto the safety hold for dear life while Brittney giggled uncontrollably.
"OH YEAH!" Brittney screamed. "Give her everything you've got, Chelsea!"
Chelsea laughed like a maniac and pushed her foot on the accelerator. "Oh, I'll give her all she's got until she's begging to get her engine changed!"
Angela looked at both her sister and girlfriend with shocked expressions as her seat started vibrating. She wanted no part in this. That's all. Absolutely no part in this madness whatsoever, yet here she was, going beyond the speed limit in a race that ISN'T the ONLY option to DEAL WITH YOUR PROBLEMS!
Kevin glanced at the girls with a confused expression. But...as he turned his attention back on the road his lips stretched into a large smirk. Using his thumb he flipped open a secret compartment on his steering-wheel, revealing a small button underneath it. Pressing it his Himitsu X-12 unleashed a huge burst of speed and granting him a big lead advantage as he soon passed by the girls.
"WHAT THE HELL!? That's cheating!" Chelsea yelled, picking up speed.
Kevin began laughing like the egotistical idiot he was as she swerved pass a few cars ahead of him. Coming up he spotted the turning point and quickly hit the brakes while jerking his wheel, making his car shift it's weight.
The girls were quickly catching up to him right when Chelsea slammed the brakes and shifted the car's weight so it would slide through the turning point. Increasing their drifting the girls were coming up close to Kevin's car right when both vehicles made contact, impacting each other.
"Hey! Watch the paint! She just got a fresh coat!" Kevin yelled.
"Yeah right! Why should we?" Chelsea asked.
"More than that, why are such a jerkass all the time?" Brittney added.
Kevin's glare at the girls soon softened. "It's not like I want to be this way! I'm like this because of my stupid younger brother!"
Angela then looked at Kevin and cocked an eyebrow, "Your brother?"
Kevin nodded as he clicked his tongue. "Our parents pay more attention to him more than me! Even when I'm getting along with him they still favor him. I've never even wanted a sibling to begin with. Which I why I started ignoring his spoiled-ass and focus more on myself and my life. You're never gonna get anywhere when you're siblings weigh you down. Just like how the stuck-up Student Council President always weighs her bitchy goth sister down."
The Park Sisters and Brittney blinked at him a few times right as they came out of the turning point with Kevin in the lead. Chelsea soon glared at his car as she increased her speed. Brittney did the same, but when she turned her attention onto her girlfriend her glare vanished. Angela gritted her teeth as she let out a set of growls while tightly gripping on the safety handle. No-one... No-one...talks like that to her sister.
"Chelsea." Angela said with a venom in her voice.
"Yeah?" Chelsea replied.
"Kick. His. Ass." Angela answered. "Do whatever it takes."
Chelsea's lips soon stretched into a large grin as she added more weight onto the accelerator. "You have no idea how much I've wanted you to say that, big sis."
Adding even more weight on the accelerator Chelsea thrusted the car forward, making them come up to Kevin's left side.
He turned his head to them and smirked. "You ain't gonna win this, bitches! There ain't a chance that-"
His words were then put on a complete stop as Chelsea, Brittney, and even Angela showed him a triple dosage of flipping the bird. Neither girl even looked at him as they did it while increasing their speed, giving themselves the head lead while coming up to several cars coming out from different directions. Tightening her grip on the wheel and her eye on the road Chelsea added even more weight to the accelerator, having them swiftly pass through the cars while Kevin was forced to stop.
"NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Kevin screamed.
With him now fully behind them Chelsea saw another turning point and slammed her foot on the brakes before turning the car into it.
"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The girls screamed with every ounce of joy in themselves.
Coming up to the end of the turning point Chelsea shifted the car back to normal and saw the others on the sidewalk coming up. Slowly pulling her foot off of the accelerator Chelsea hit the breaks, making the car come to a complete stop near the light.
Opening their doors the Park Sisters and Brittney got out and walked onto the sidewalk, facing their friends.
"The Semi-Lap is over. The score is now 3 to 0. Only one more race remain!" Ronaldo announced.
"Looks like you girls had fun. How was the rush?" Z asked.
Chelsea smirked as she took off the goggles and tossed them back to him. "Hell of a ride."
The others then looked at Brittney and Angela, though mostly on Angela due to how frazzled her hair had become.
"Damn, girl. You three must've really enjoyed yourselves, huh?" Jenny asked with a teasing grin.
"You don't know the half of it." Brittney replied, nearly out of breath. She then turned her attention onto her girlfriend. "You okay?"
Angela turned her head to Brittney and without a word she walked up to her, grabbed her cheeks, and planted her lips onto hers. Brittney gasped at her girlfriend's sudden action, but welcomed it while wrapping her arms around her waist.
Angela then pulled away, allowing the two to catch a breath. "No more talking. Make my worries disappear, baby."
Brittney giggled as the two resumed their lip-lock.
Meanwhile Kevin slowly came up on the other side of the road and stopped right next to his opponent's car. Getting out of his car he slammed his door and walked over to the sidewalk where Zac glared at him with crossed arms.
"What. Happened?" Zac asked with venom in his voice.
"I don't know." Kevin answered. "I used my ace, but it wasn't enough. They must've cheated somehow. Either way, we're getting spanked."
Zac shook his head. "Only one more race left. I'll handle this. You and the boys watch how street racing is really done." He added as he snatched Kevin's car keys out of his hand.
December 3rd 1:30 a.m.
This was it. The final race. Once this was all set and done...everything was gonna be different.
In the driver's seat of the K-11 10,000 was Lapis Lazuli wearing Z/Kameron's goggles over her eyes and having her hands gripped on the wheel. Next to her in the passenger-seat was Z, all buckled up and excited for what was to come. Behind Lapis was Scarlett hanging onto the safety holder, but getting thrilled for the race of a lifetime. And lastly behind Z was Ronaldo, who was utterly speechless and so happy in having a part in the race.
Next to them was Zac, keeping his eyes on the road with the harshest glare he could ever muster. He gritted his teeth as he quickly glanced at the street light and the road. These losers only got lucky beating some of his boys and Kevin, but now they were dealing with some real competition. They'll catch up to the score. And when they win his life will start to get a lot calmer.
The Far West side streetlight soon turned green, making both drivers slam their foot onto the accelerator and storm off.
Zac managed to get a head-start of the others, making his lips grin as he took a quick turn. Lapis followed after while slowly adding pressure to the accelerator. She narrowed her eyes as she steered the car around other vehicles coming up to her and catching up to Zac.
Neck to neck the drivers were speeding through the streets like jets in the air. Coming up they both spotted two turning pointing heading into the opposite direction. Without a need to look at each other both drivers slowly distance themselves right as they came up to their turning points and slammed their brakes while turning their cars.
Drifting the car Lapis kept turning the wheel while her passengers were screaming their heads off.
"OH MY STARS! YOU'RE DOING IT, LAPIS! YOU'RE USING EVERY OUNCE OF WHAT THE K-11 10,000 IS FULLY CAPABLE OF!" Ronaldo screamed in pure joy.
"GO, LAPIS! KEEP IT GOING, GIRL! YOU GOT THIS!" Scarlett cheered.
"YEEEEAHHHH! THAT'S IT, LAPIS! KEEP MAKING HER ENGINE HUM! GIVE HER EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT! YOU GOT THIS!" Z added as he cackled.
There words encouraged her to keep pushing on as she continued drifting. Honestly...the only time she was ever in a fast vehicle was when she was riding with Zebra Marble. If he could see her down he might be prod of how she was handling a vehicle.
Lapis' lips stretched into a sly grin as soon as she got out of the turning point and entered into a long straight road. From left to right there were a large line of cars in multiple colors, all parked behind several gates.
Shifting the car she pushed on the accelerator, giving the car some extra speed while exiting the area of cars. Jerking the wheel she made a right turn into a curved corner as she slammed on the brakes, making the car swerve and drift among the corner until she got herself onto another straight and large road.
Coming up to her left Zac burst right onto the road and slammed into his opponent, causing the car to steer slightly off-course before she quickly readjusted herself.
"YOU LIKE THAT, FREAKS!?" Zac yelled as he continued slamming his car into Lapis.
Lapis let out various loud grunts as she ignored him. But while she tried to keep her mind clear Zac repeatedly kept slamming the car into her again, and again, and again.
"YOU DON'T DESERVE ANYTHING! YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE ON THIS PLANET! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST BECAUSE SOME DOUBLE-EYES FREAK IS WITH YOU!?" Zac screamed.
Lapis started to growl, but shook her head right as an idea popped in her mind.
Zac soon steered himself away from his opponent and quickly jerked himself back to her. However...as he was getting closer to them Lapis slowly lifted her leg off of the accelerator, decreasing her speed. Right as Zac was gonna ram her again her car quickly dodged him and instead made him turn into a different direction from their current street.
"Ha! Good thinking, baby!" Z cheered.
"Don't call me that!" Lapis replied. "Just Lapis!" She added as she increased her speed.
Z acknowledged that and simply kept his eyes on the rush.
Up ahead Lapis caught a glimpse of the others on the sidewalk and removed her foot from the accelerator while also applying the brakes.
Having the car come to a complete stop Lapis, Z, Scarlett, and Ronaldo let out long sighs of relief, but then their eyes shot open at the realization as the what just happened. Each of their lips stretched into a smile as they unbuckled themselves and got out of the car.
"It's over!" Sour Cream yelled. "We win! 4 to 0!"
Getting onto the sidewalk they were then rallied around by their friends who released loud and joyfully cheers.
"You did it!" Sadie yelled as she came up and hugged Lapis.
"Lapis, you were awesome out there!" Lars added.
Lapis blinked at him, "You were able to watch us?"
"I recorded everyone's races!" Ronaldo answered as he brought his phone up. "Plus Z allowed me to put a small camera on the hood of the car so everyone could see what we experienced."
Lapis blinked at him as she removed the goggles from her eyes. Well...at least they put on a good performance. She then turned to Z and handed him his goggles.
"Thanks for letting me wear these." Lapis said.
Z took his goggles back and placed them on. "Glad you enjoyed them." He then turned his eyes onto the others. "We all one. It wasn't just one of us,"
"Totally." Scarlett replied. She then walked up to him, but suddenly stumbled, making Z quickly catch her as she giggled. "Sorry. My legs are still vibrating. I don't think I'll ever get use to this sensation."
Z giggled as well.
The roar of an engine soon entered everyone's ears, making them turn their heads to see Zac pulling up exit to the K-11 10,000 and getting out of the car before slamming the door back. At that moment the only thing Armstrong was able to see was red as he glared at the losers and the Cool Kids while giving off heavy breaths.
"You... You... You..." Zac seethed through his teeth.
Zac then stomped his way up to them right as the Cool Kids stepped in front of their friends.
"Cool it, Armstrong! It's over!" Jenny said firmly.
"Let's stop now." Buck added.
"Yeah, you lost fair and square. Back off." Sour Cream concluded.
Zac then pulled his arm out and then threw it right at Jenny's face. Seeing it come she closed her eyes, waiting for the impact to come, but...it didn't. Instead a roar of gasps entered her ears, making her open her eyes to see what had happened.
To everyone's surprise Lars had caught Zac's fist as he glared at him before pushing his arm away from Jenny.
"Armstrong, you have no shame. Throwing a punch at a woman." Lars said firmly as he stood in front of her, making Jenny look at him in awe.
"You cheated!" Zac yelled.
"Actually...you and Kevin cheated." Ronaldo corrected while showing everyone scenes on his phone. "Kevin had a built-in nitro booster installed that isn't within the original designs of the Himitsu X-12 without anyone's knowledge. You were also ramming the vehicle into the K-11 10,000. That's against the rules of street racing."
All eyes were then on Kevin, making his face burn while he turned his head away in embarrassment.
"A deal's a deal." Z pointed out. "Now is a good time for all of us to get home before things get rough."
Zac growled again right as his body started shaking. How? How was this happening right now? He lost? That wasn't suppose to happen. The losers aren't the ones who are suppose to win. Yet...it happened... But was it really his fault? No! It was the losers! More than that, it was the freaks. THEY are responsible for this.
Right when Zac stepped up and attempted to do something a loud echoing sound entered everyone's ears. The moment it rang it instantly sent a chill down everyone's spines. Turning their heads everyone spotted two police cars in the distance with their sirens blaring.
"Oh &%#" Everyone whispered to themselves.
"Race is over!" Z yelled as he ran over to the driver's side of the car and got in. "Guys! Get your asses in, now!"
Without the need for him to repeat himself the others quickly got into the car. Lapis took the passenger seat up front while Ronaldo sat right behind Z. Lars, Buck, and Sour Cream headed in the back with Sadie coming in and forcing herself onto Sour Cream's lap while Jenny was forced onto Lars'. Angela sat right next to Ronaldo with Brittney sitting in her lap while Chelsea sat behind Lapis with Scarlett sitting on her lap.
Once all the doors were closed Z turned on the engine and stormed right out of the area. As they were leaving Zac, Kevin, and what was left of their crew got into their car and booked it in the opposite direction.
December 3rd 1:45 a.m.
Storming through the streets Z kept his eyes on the road while Lapis and Scarlett kept on checking behind them for cops.
"Oh, man. This is bad! This is very, very, very bad!" Sadie panicked.
"No duh!" Lars replied. "If we all get caught...all of us are gonna be sent to juvie!"
"See! I told all of you what would happen if we when through this!" Angela yelled. "But did anyone listen to me? NO!"
"This isn't the time to play the Blame Game, Ang!" Z yelled as he increased his speed.
Lifting his head Z quickly turned the car, making their way into a large garage. Pulling up into it he made quick turns as he ascended upward of the garage right until he found a parking spot and immediately stopped the car in it. He then shut the headlights off along with the engine.
"Everyone quiet," Z whispered. "I'm gonna go check if we're in the clear. You all stay here and don't come out unless I say it's safe, got it?"
"I'm coming with you." Lapis whispered back.
Z shook his head, "Uh-uh."
"Just in case." Lapis addressed.
Z rolled his eyes and gave her a nod while they both got out of the car.
Quietly shutting their doors they both slowly approached the stone railing and looked down. The echoing sounds of sirens entered their ears as they saw a police car coming through the road. As they watched it going down the street the police car then passed by the garage, making both Z and Lapis sigh in relief.
Turning around they gave a thumbs up to the others, having them exit the car carefully while quietly shutting the doors behind them.
"Are we good?" Chelsea whispered.
Z nodded. "Saw them pass by." Taking a breath he then narrowed his eyes at his friends, "You guys still have your Warp Whistles, right?"
A collection of gasped exited Lars, Sadie, Ronaldo, Scarlett, the Park Sisters, and Brittney. Reaching into their pockets they each pulled out their Warp Whistles.
"What are those?" Jenny asked.
"These are whistles Kameron gave us that allow us to teleport." Ronaldo answered. "But it can only take us to places that we have memorized."
"So what's the plan?" Lars asked Z.
"You all return home while me and Lapis drive back." Z answered. "We've got Warp Whistles too, but we can't the car through warping without waking up the neighborhood."
Right as someone was about to say something a police siren blared.
"FREEZE!"
The teens each froze in place while putting their hands up. Well... So much their attempt at making an escape.
"EVERYONE DOWN ON THE GROUND AND PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR HEAD!" The cop said through a megaphone.
With no options left and not wanting to fight the police the teens immediately got down on the ground and placed their hands on their heads.
The sounds of cars doors entered their ears, making each of the teens' hearts thump by a millisecond. Light then shined onto the teens and began getting brighter as the cops walked up to them, but once they got close both cops gasped.
"Z? Lapis?"
"Girls?"
Shutting off the lights the teens looked up to see that the cops standing in front of them were Officer Evans and Officer Park.
Interview#1.5
In the white room Z walks in, seeing the audience in front of him.
Walking toward the middle of the room Z sat down onto the chair. He smiles at the audience while leaning his body forward.
Z: You all are probably wondering what happened to us. Well...I would tell you, but I don't really see a point in it. Nothing in the world always needs an answer. Honestly...that's the biggest thing you all are trying to comprehend when it comes to stories likes these.
Z straightens his back and stands up.
Z: The author is kinda fixated on finding answers to anything they see. But sometimes...you actually don't need an answer to these concepts.
Z places a hand on his neck and cracks it to the left.
Z: But I'll cut to the chase. I'm not gonna ask how you enjoyed this episode because we all have our different perspectives. And I'm sure you all are smart enough to understand who I am at this point. If not...
Z walks up to the audience and kicks the camera, cracking it and making it fall onto it's side.
Z: I ain't giving you squat. So long everyone. Don't miss me too much.
Z then walks away until he disappears off-screen.
End of Episode 64.
This... This took me a long, long while, but I am so happy it's finally done before Christmas. I had so much fun making this one.
This song here is Dead Girl Walking from The Heathers Musical. One of my all-time favorite musicals. I do not own this song.
