His spider-sense hasn't gone off telling him to be wary of this man. Peter knew that following the strange man wasn't the smartest idea all things considered but he truly did need help.
Following quite a distance behind, Peter made sure to watch the man's every move. When the mysterious man glanced behind him, to make sure Peter was still following, Peter tensed up and balled his fists, ready to fight if need be.
Though the mysterious man always continued walking forward and Peter's spider-sense never went off.
Walking deeper into the city, Peter finally got the guts to call out to the man, "Sir? What's your name?"
The man glanced back, placing his hands into his pockets, "I'm the Pro Hero, Eraserhead."
Peter paused, "..."
"A friend gave me the name and it stuck."
"But… Why…"
Eraserhead sighed, "My quirk is erasure. It allows me to erase a person's quirk as long as it's an emitter-type quirk."
Peter's brow scrunched up in confusion as he mouthed out the word, "Quirk…"
"What's your name, kid?"
Snapping out of his contemplation over the meaning of quirk, Peter stumbled over his answer and the uneven pavement, "Uh, Peter Park- Wait. It's the other way in Japan, right?... Parker Peter."
Nodding to himself, Eraserhead led Peter up a fire escape to the roof of a building. The building wasn't abandoned or anything but it was heavily worn down with rust building up on every surface. Peter worried he might need a tetanus shot.
"Let me see your arms, Peter," Eraserhead suddenly announced.
Peter jumped, spooked by the Eraserhead breaking the silence. His head whipped up towards the hero, noticing a first-aid box in the hero's hands.
He paused for a second, thinking, "Am I really going to accept help from this stranger?"
Sighing, Peter made his way forward. What did you expect? He was in a place with no help and he wasn't just going to deny someone giving him charity. Especially since his spider sense wasn't going haywire.
Within a few steps of the hero, Peter raised his arm with the worst of injuries. His arm was covered in scratches ranging from the size of paper cuts to a few inches long. Underneath the scratches were dark yellow and purple bruises.
Peter's head tilted to the side, wondering how he got such a range of scratches. Surely it wasn't from the trash heap… right?
He knew once he got some food in his body, they would heal relatively well but it was surprising how banged up he got.
Eraserhead took out some sanitation wipes and bandages, beginning to wrap up Peter's wounds.
"Mr. Eraserhead? Where exactly are we?" Peter wondered.
Eraserhead glanced up at Peter quickly, "First, drop the "Mr" and we're by Takoba Beach in Musutafu."
"I see…"
"Where did you think we were?"
Peter gave a sharp expression at the question. What was he supposed to say? The last place he remembers being was on Titan before he crumbled to dust in his mentor's arms.
"... New York. The last place I remember being was New York," Peter decided to say.
Eraserhead's hands froze as he jolted his head up to look Peter in the eyes, "Then how did you get to Japan?"
"No idea. I just woke up by the trash heap on the beach which isn't the most unpleasant place I've woken up at but it did smell quite bad. By the way, what are quirks?"
"What are…" Eraserhead started in disbelief.
"..."
"..."
"Are they like superpowers?"
"How do you not know what quirks are? They have been around for centuries."
"Uhh… I didn't get out much?"
"Is that a question or a statement?" Eraserhead deadpanned.
"A statement?"
"Problem child…"
"Also, do you know a place where I can get free scrap parts? Like wires and other pieces of metal so I can build something… Please don't say the dump at the beach."
Eraserhead just stayed silent, staring at Peter which caused Peter to become antsy. Peter took to quickly looking around, avoiding Eraserhead's eyes while his right foot began to tap at a fast pace.
Every time he looked at Eraserhead, he could tell that the hero was having a battle within himself to decide what to do.
With a heavy sigh, Eraserhead brought his hand to his head to rub at his brow, "Problem child, you're going to give me a big headache aren't you?"
"Huh?"
"So you're from New York and somehow appeared in Japan. How come you understand and can actually speak Japanese?"
"Uhh… Good question…" He thought of Doctor Strange. "A sorcerer supreme who is the master of the mystic arts?"
"Very funny. And the last thing you remember was being in New York. Before appearing here in Japan, what were you doing in New York? Quirks are prevalent there also so you should know what they are. And don't say you don't get out much."
Peter swallowed thickly thinking about how he should spin his story, "I lived far from society and the people taking care of me didn't allow me to view outside media. They also claimed that I was special in terms of some things."
"Is this special thing a quirk? A quirk is something like a superhuman ability."
Peter breathed out a silent sigh of relief. Maybe he could blend in with this society quite nicely without people asking too many questions. It seemed like these quirks were quite abundant.
Peter drew out, "Yeah. I guess you could say that. I have powers similar to the capabilities of a spider."
Eraserhead quirked up an eyebrow, "A spider? You don't have any physical characteristics that would imply that."
"Like my guardians said, I'm "special.""
"..."
"Anyways, back to my earlier question. Is there a scrap yard nearby?"
Eraserhead looked like he wanted to ask a variety of different questions but resigned himself, "The nearest in the beach. It has a variety of different things. Why do you need scrap?"
"Ah… To build and attach a heating system to my clothes. Did you know that spiders can't thermoregulate and need to rely on external factors? If a spider gets too cold, they may slip into a coma and I guess hibernate for a time or they can die."
"..."
"..."
"What!?"
"Yeah. It's quite cool-"
"No! You are freezing to death!"
Eraserhead instantly started moving. The hero reached into his uniform to grab a phone and started to dial a number.
In an instant panic, Peter instinctively pressed his middle and ring finger to his palm, aiming for the phone, forgetting he did not have his web shooters. Breathing through his teeth sharply, Peter turned and started running.
One person helping was fine but getting more people involved, he didn't know what they would do. He was especially hesitant due to not knowing enough about this world. Sprinting, he headed towards the ledge of the building on top of this five-story building.
Behind him, he heard Eraserhead call out, "Wait!"
With that, Peter's spider-sense exploded in his head. He jolted his body to the left, going into a roll, catching a glimpse of the white ribbon flying just inches away from his body.
His breath was caught in his throat as he launched himself over the side of the building. Probably not his best idea but he had to get away from the hero.
Freefalling, Peter glanced back to the rooftop, noticing that the hero had jumped off the ledge too, and seemed to be manipulating the white ribbon that was around his neck. The hero sent one end to grab onto some pipes on the side of the building while the other went towards Peter.
Peter straightened his limbs and angled himself downward, trying to make himself fall faster than how quickly the ribbon was traveling.
And it worked. The ribbon came barely short of capturing Peter's ankle. Peter let a small smile grace his face as he flipped and landed on the street.
Looking up, he gave a small salute to the hero and started running towards the polluted beach. Peter heard the sound of the hero dropping down onto the ground.
"Crap," Peter muttered under his breath.
Of course, Eraserhead just had to follow behind him. Sighing, Peter glanced around and sped up his pace. He was going to have to weave in and out of the streets to find a place to hole up away from Eraserhead.
Peter remembered the way to the beach but due to their previous conversation, Eraserhead knew which way Peter would most likely head. He knew that conversation was a bad idea but he needed that information.
Peter turned down an alleyway. He heard Eraserhead following behind but at a slower pace. If he could outmaneuver the hero, then he could escape.
Notice:
Hello Everyone! I'm Xenon. I decided to do an author's note to clarify a few things.
Firstly, Peter Parker in this story has a lot more spider attributes than his Marvel counterpart. I did this in order to make him be able to fit in a bit more with the My Hero Academia world but also, I think it could lead to some interesting moments. So, further in the story, you will read about him being more spider-like.
Secondly, I plan on updating this story every week on either Saturday or Sunday. I will try to stick to this schedule as much as possible.
Lastly, the tags may change. I am still new to posting fanfiction so tags or concepts may change when I am flushing out the story's ark. Please be patient with me. I also may edit chapters later down the line. When that happens, I will make sure to announce it.
Thank you and see you all on the next upload!
