Chapter Two: The Land Of Awakening Part 2

Jack, Abby and Cedric made their way through the cave, taking notice of several stalagmites pointing down at them. Jack felt they could fall at any given moment. Cedric still took the lead, thinking about where it would go. Abby had her journal and thought about the discoveries they could make.

Jack however couldn't help but think of something else...he had weird dreams lately and didn't know what to think of them. They were about shadow monsters and a strange sword. A sword that looked like a giant key. What could it have meant?

Before he could think any further, Cedric gasped. Jack looked up and gasped too. There was a cave drawing. It detailed a boy and a girl holding those key swords. There was a third boy, pointing a dark blade at them. But that's not why they gasped...they were in shock because the kids looked JUST like them.

"What the-" Jack began in surprise. No one went out here. No one EVER left the city. But how could someone know about them?

"Very funny!" Cedric shouted. "Drawing the three of us. Bet ya think you're sooo smart huh? Toying with the minds of three kids." He kept looking around waiting for someone to pop out...but no one did.

Jack was awestruck, so much so that when Cedric snapped at him and Abby, he made a sharp gasp.

"Let's go!" Cedric snapped. "This place is stupid anyway." Before he started walking, he turned to his friends. "We NEVER speak of this. And we never come back here."

Jack nodded in shock and Abby had a shocked face as well. Cedric just snapped at them. He had been very moody, but this? It's almost like he'd changed.

ZZZ

BOOM!

Jack jumped up in shock and fell out of his bed. He landed on his knees very hard. "Ouch..." he groaned. He heard a boom. But what was it? He turned to window and jaw dropped. There was a storm. Im the sky was a strange purple orb with lightning coming out of it.

"What the-" Jack tried before feeing a shockwave. "I gotta get out there!" He ran out of his house and saw the orb up close. It was pulling buildings right out of the ground! "This can't be happening!" He yelled in fear.

"Jack!" A familiar voice shouted. Jack gasped hearing it. He turned around and saw Abby. She was cornered by the shadow monsters from his dream.

Jack looked in fear as they inched closer to her. In that moment, a beam of light surrounded him. It was so bright it completely shrouded him and he covered his eyes. When the light vanished, he was holding the key sword from his dream. "Woah!" He said in shock. "What is this?" He asked aloud.

Keyblade...Keyblade...

The Keyblade in question was called The Kingdom Key. Jack looked at the blade and then to his friend. Gripping the Keyblade tightly, he ran at the monsters and swung his blade. The minute the blade hit the shadow, it vanished in a cloud of smoke. The other shadows looked to Abby and then turned towards Jack. Tilting their heads, they lunged at him. Jack jumped back and slashed two in a row before spinning around and stabbing another.

One shadow clawed him from behind and hit his back. He cried out and swung the blade around to destroy this one. "Is that all you got!?" Jack taunted.

"JAAAAACK!" Abby cried out causing Jack to gasp. Turning around he saw a hooded figure grab Abby. The figure turned to him.

"Stay out of this!" Was all the figure said before opening a portal and running through it. Jack held out his hand helplessly toward Abby as the portal closed.

"Jack!?" Another voice yelled in surprise. Jack turned around and saw Cedric. "What happened?" He demanded.

"A strange guy in a hood took Abby! We need to find her! We gotta-" but Jack was cut off when a shadow grabbed Cedric.

"Hey!" Cedric yelled angrily. "Let me go you monsters!" Cedric was dragged into a portal as well.

Jack, with a saddened expression, fell to his knees. He didn't care if the orb destroyed him, he was more worried about his friends. When he was pulled upward, he didn't fight it...he let it happen. But what he didn't know, was that this was only the beginning...
