Anyways, I apologize for not uploading any chapters; I haven't been stuck on a chapter I am working on, so I've decided to take a break from it for a while. However, I realized we are getting close to December, and I haven't gotten even close to finishing it. So, I've decided to do a special but I'm not doing a time skip kind of scenario don't want to spoil anything.

This special maybe unconventional and unusual and important notes this will take place in the Canon of this story when and where or where you'll will see this chapter will be brought up again in some other time but for now I hope you find this child to be acceptable.

Now on to the disclaimer I don't own Kamen rider or the Loud House they all belong to their respective creators the only thing I own is my OC I'm just writing for fun not for profit.

Chapter 7.5 Open dream

It's a snowy day at the Loud House; everything is quiet inside the house. Only one person is present at the house: our resident Rider, Rey. He's sleeping peacefully on the couch. The house is decked out with various Christmas decorations. A tree is up, and there are stockings hanging by the fireplace. The house is festively adorned for the holidays. Suddenly, a shadow overlaps his face.

"How long are you going to stay asleep, brother?" Rey immediately opened his eyes as he heard that voice. He looked up to see a man who bore a striking resemblance to himself: glasses, a mustache, and a beard; and curly hair.

Rey gasped and was shocked as he immediately stood up and looked at the stranger.

"P-p-phil, is that you? But how are you..." Rey stuttered as he paused to look around his surroundings with a confused look on his face before turning his attention towards Phil.

"Why is the house covered in Christmas decorations, and how long has that tree been set up, and since when did it start snowing?" Rey questioned as he pointed at the tree and the window, seeing that there was snow outside. He looked at his brother with a puzzled expression.

"Are you being serious? Why wouldn't anyone put up Christmas decorations in December? Also, have you forgotten that you live in Michigan for a while; of course it will snow during this time. Perfect weather for a Christmas celebration." Phil said rhetorically.

"Now, come on," Phil said. "You start getting the food ready, and I'll set the table; our family will be here soon." Phil informed as he headed to the dining room but Rey stopped him.

"Our family, as in are family, means mom, pops, and Conchita right?" Rey asked in a bewildered tone.

"Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Look, I know you are always the one who yells orders around to get everyone to work, so this time, why don't you try doing the same thing to me? Quit the chit-chat and help me get ready for dinner for everyone's arrival." Phil says smugly which probably got his brother annoyed and rushed in the kitchen.

"Well, I'm glad it's just our folks; now if you told me that our other cousins will be coming over with them to celebrate the holidays, I would be conflicted because I don't have the best relationships with some of our cousins, and not to mention, if I prepare the meals for them, they will assume that you did all the work, and I did nothing, no matter what I say or show them, they will always deny my skills simply because they prefer you over me." Rey stated in a disheartened tone, causing his brother to look at him with an annoyed look as he heads to the refrigerator.

"You really believe that, do you? Come on; you know deep down that it's not true," Phil said in a denying tone. Rey turned to look at his brother directly while glaring at him with an annoyed expression.

"Please stop trying to give me false hope; things have been different between us for years. Our cousins look at me like I'm an annoying pest and a deadbeat with no life, while they look at you with respect and admiration! Even the one I took care of and nurtured, who complained that you favored her brothers, respected you far more than she ever did with me." Rey rummaged through the refrigerator.

"All right, all right! Geez, you don't need to be so aggressive about it." Phil said as Rey let out a sigh.

"Let's forget about it, let's just get this meal started. It's close to Christmas, and I really don't want to ruin anyone's mood today. This is a special occasion, so we'll hold our thoughts and opinions for now, brother." Rey said as he took out some things from the refrigerator.

"That's a good idea, so do you know what you're making for everyone in the house?" Phil asked curiously. Rey took out a big chunk of beef and set it on the counter.

"I am making la cola del Diablo (devil's tale) I know this isn't your favorite dish, but it seems appropriate to enjoy it in this weather, plus pops could want something warm and spicy when he arrives with our mother and Aunt." He says as he heads for one of the cabinets and finds what he's looking for: a bag of rice and several cans of Chipotle.

"You got that right," Phil said. "Well, I'm done setting up the table. I'll go clean up the rice. You get started on the sauce and meat." Phil said as he headed into the kitchen, found a large bowl, and poured the rice into it before heading over to the sink where Rey was already preparing the ingredients for both families.

In a series of montages, we see the two brothers hard at work preparing the meal. Amidst their conversations, we see them having a decent conversation, only to be interrupted by an argument. Next, we see Phil trying to make a joke toward the older brother, which is met with an annoyed roll of the eyes by Rey, and the younger brother looks a bit dejected and hurt.

Then we see Phil pouring out the water that the rice was in. Following this, he brings out a rice cooker and pours the clean rice into it before setting the timer for it to be cooked. Meanwhile, Rey brings out a large pot and places the chipotle-seasoned meat and a soda into it.

After minutes of chatting and waiting, the food was finally ready. Rey was the first to try the sauce; the taste of it was sweet and spicy, which he thought was just right - it made his mouth tingle, but not too much. He wasn't sure if it was adequate for the families, so he handed the sample to his brother. After tasting the sauce, Phil immediately went to the sink, opened the faucet, and drank some water. His mouth feeling relieved from the brain sensation, Phil gave his brother a big thumbs up saying that the sauce was perfect.

Rey saw his brother's response, feeling happy that he had accomplished the right flavor, texture, and sensation of the dish. Before they could do anything else, the door to the house opened, catching the two brothers' attention, and they headed out to see who it was. To their surprise, well to the surprise of Rey, his eyes widened upon seeing who entered the house. Three individuals walked into the house; one of them appeared to be a woman in her 40s bundled up in a thick winter jacket, while the other two were women who bore a slight resemblance to the first woman who was in her late 40s and it's too bundle up in a heavy winter jacket as well. The last person to enter was a man in his late 40s, with a mustache and a cap who had a heavy Green jacket.

These individuals are none other than his family - the family he missed so much. Upon seeing them, Rey didn't say anything or utter any words; instead, they looked at him with a smile that showed signs of greeting, welcoming, and sadness. Upon looking at them, Rey's tears started rolling down his cheeks as he rushed towards them, wanting to hug them, to greet them, to welcome them back into his life. But it all faded to white then fade into black.

Rey flicker his eyes open he looks around and he sees that it is dark and he's in the living room he then sits up and turns around to see his phone and PS Vita on the coffee table he first picks up his phone and turns it on the time reads five o'clock a.m. in the morning.

Rey tapped the screen on his phone and revealed a photo. The photo showed his brother and the people who had been in his dreams; all of them were smiling happily in front of a shrine dedicated for Christmas. But at a distance, they could see Rey standing there, reserving a look as he scrolled through and landed on another picture, this time of him with the two women, along with other women preparing tamales.

The next photo shows Rey and several other men cooking a large batch of tamales outside. The following photo is of him smiling while he plays with a large group of kids then the last photo he landed on is an image of him next to brown hair girl with hazel eyes smiling together.

These photos were more than enough to cause tears to slowly start streaming down his face Rey started sobbing quietly.

Elsewhere

We see Claire in a specially decorated ornate room sitting at an elaborate elegant desk; she is watching Rey through a transparent window. She sees her proxy in pain and she feels his emotional state to the point that she begins to cry with him.

"Oh Rey... it's no secret that you have been missing your family very dearly..." Claire says as she covered her face with both of her hands trying to resist to sob. "But I had no idea this was causing so much emotional turmoil. I am so sorry!" Claire exclaimed as she sobbed loudly after moments of crying she composes on and wipe the tears away from her face and eyes and formed a strong look of the.

"It saddens me that I can't be there to comfort you in your most vulnerable moment because of someone observing us." She says with guilt and frustration, knowing well who is observing them at this moment. The one who is observing her proxy.

"But for now, what you need most is a friend. A friend you can share your thoughts and feelings with. And I know the one person in the house who will be there for you at your most vulnerable moment." Claire says as she places her left hand on the magic window. A small glow appears, and she swings her hand away the window. As the window stopped shifting it's showed Leni wearing her sleeping mask peacefully sleeping.

Then, Claire closed her eyes. A small white energy began to envelop her entire body. Then, that energy went straight up and formed a spectral construct. And then, her spirit construct through the window.

Back in The Loud House, we're in the room of Lori and Leni. The window that Claire was using appears in their room. Out of it comes the spectral construct of Claire. Claire stares at the sleeping girl very cautiously. Without a moment's hesitation, she phases through her head.

Inside Leni's mind, we see her at a fashion show, showing off many of her clothing designs. It didn't take long for Claire to find her. She simply touched Leni's shoulder, and everything went black.

Leni looks around her surroundings, frightened, to notice that she is the only one here. There is no one in sight. It is a pure black and blank space.

"I apologize for invading your dreams, but this is the most urgent matter Leni." Leni Yelp upon hearing the voice of Claire in an instant Claire herself materialized in front of her she is adorned with a simple white dress.

"Who are you and how do you know my name?" Leni ask concerningly.

"Who am I is not important, but what is important right now is that you must wake up. Leni, please go to him; he's hurting. I beseech you: please wake up; he needs a friend!" Claire pleaded which confused Leni.

"Who is hurting?!" Leni ask Claire rushed towards her place both of her hands on her shoulders and started shaking her.

"It's Rey. Please go to him. He's hurting so please help your shopping buddy please wake up!" Claire exclaimed as she shook her more profusely.

Back in reality, Leni gasped as she stood up at the same time the specter of Claire blew out of her head and flew back into the window from which she had come. Leni removed her sleeping mask, blinked twice, in was confused.

"Wow that was a weird dream." Leni commented as got off her bed.

Then she began to think about that dream, which she remembered in detail. It felt too real to her, so she gazed at the door to her and her sister's room, hesitantly. Leni opened the door and headed down the hallway, heading downstairs. She felt very compelled to heed the warning of her dream and check on Rey, although she prayed that it was nothing but a dream. When she got downstairs, she saw him. She was a little shocked. She saw Rey lying on the couch, sobbing and whimpering silently.

"Rey?" Rey momentarily stopped sobbing and quickly wiped his tears, he hesitantly looking up to see who had called his name. To his surprise, it was Leni, who looked at him with a concerned and confused look.

"What's wrong?" Leni asked.

"N-nothing's wrong Leni I'm fine r-really." He started slightly as he tried to give her a look of reinsurance.

"Then why are you crying?" Leni questioned as she sees More tears pouring out of his eyes Rey instinctively touched his eyes as he felt said tears still pouring out and he tried to quickly wipe them away but Leni stopped him as she approached him and sit next to him.

"Rey, please tell me what's wrong. Why are you so sad?" Leni asked in an emotional tone, but as Ray could say anything for a brief moment, Rey saw the same girl in his pictures in Leni's place, giving him the same expression. Rey lunged himself at her and hugged her, as he began to cry. Leni was caught off guard momentarily but she could feel the tears dropping from his face on her shoulder. Len didn't hesitate to hug him back.

Moments have passed, and Rey is finally calming down. He was the first to break away from her embrace. Then, he momentarily looked at Leni with a look of embarrassment.

"I'm really sorry you had to see me like this Leni I usually keep myself under control when I'm feeling down I don't know what came over me again I'm sorry if I suddenly hugged you without your consent." he said when I apologize look Leni just simply smiled at him.

"It's okay, I'm just glad you're feeling okay." Leni said cheerfully, but her cheerful look shifted to a more worried look.

"But still, why were you so sad?" Leni asked, Rey briefly looked away, he was pondering what to say to her; should he come out clean and say what he saw, or just tell her that things are all right before he could come to an answer. He felt Leni's hand on his shoulder, then he saw the look on her face - a look of pleading.

"Rey, whatever is wrong, you can tell me, aren't we shopping buddies?" Leni said with a smile on her face. He took a deep breath and exhaled. It came with a decision, and that decision is to tell her what was wrong with him. But he still needs to withhold some things for obvious reasons.

"All right Leni I'll tell you why I'm so sad so wasn't careful okay." Rey said calmly Leni Zack Wiley and begin to listen.

"You know the story of what happened to me and my family, well before I tell you anything, there is something you need to know about me. Whenever I sleep, I don't have good dreams; the dreams I've been having are borderline scary; heck, the last good dream I had was when I was 9 years old." Rey informed which surprised Leni.

"Really?! How scary are they?!" Leni ask frighteningly.

"Well, it all depends on you and how you perceive it to be scary, but I digress; we're getting off-topic anyway. For the first time in a long time, I actually had a good dream." Rey said neutrally. Leni gasped with excitement.

"That's wonderful, Rey! What kind of dream did you have?" Leni asked excitedly.

"It was a Christmas dream in that dream. I was lying on the couch, sleeping then... My little brother showed up in that dream."

"You have a little brother?!" Leni said in a surprised tone; she knew her friend had family, but she didn't think he had any siblings. Although come to think of it, he doesn't talk about his family at all. This is surprising; he's opening up things about himself more to her.

"Yep, in that dream, it was just the two of us; you and your family went to pick up ours, and he told me to get ready and prepare a feast for everyone when they arrived with our folks. He was setting up the table, and I was in the kitchen preparing something. We talked, we bickered argued joke with me then talked again." Rey let out a sigh of joy.

"It was a great time, and the final part of the dream. I have finished preparing the meal. He set up the table, then I had asked him to taste the meal. He gave a sign that it was okay, and the next thing happened was our family showed up. Seeing them again was the happiest moment I have felt in a long time."

Rey said excitedly, happy but the excited look on his face vanished and a sad one emerged. He looked down, all depressed and sad.

"I went to greet them and welcome them into your house, but everything went white and faded to black. Next, I woke up still feeling the emotional rush from that dream. I tried to calm myself to see what time it was after seeing the time then, for some reason I felt like tapping on the screen on my phone. Then, I started looking through the photos I had on my phone, and began to look through the photos I had in my life looking at some of them bringing back some emotions that I had thought were buried. And then... I broke down." Rey finished as tears started to float down his eyes again but he quickly wiped away his tears and composed himself then he stared directly at Leni with a sad expression.

"While the dream was nice, it made me feel worse... It made me want to see my family more, even though I can't! After dealing with all those horrible nightmares I have finally got a good dream, but why did I have to have a dream about them!" Rey frustratedly stated as he choked up but he quickly stopped himself he by the way his tears to the deep breath and control himself.

"Man, I hate feeling sad and hurt. I haven't felt this bad since I got one of my Keystone Customize last year!" Ray stated annoyingly as he released a heavy sigh of frustration.

"Keystone?" Leni said, confusedly. Rey registered what he had blurted out; luckily, he had already come up with an excuse to explain what he was about to inform.

"Have you noticed the earring and necklace I always wear?"

"Oh, yeah! I wanted to ask where you got them because they look totes amazing on you." Leni's compliment made him a bit flustered.

"Well, it's a long story, but basically the jewels were given to me as a gift, and I had them customized on Christmas Eve. After they were customized, I saw a large family being happy and merry; seeing that family brought back a lot of memories. I suppressed those emotions and ended up crying my eyes out. I isolated myself for the rest of the day and cried myself to sleep. And when Christmas Day finally arrived, I did the same thing all over again." Rey told Leni, who gave him a look of pure sadness and sympathy as tears begin coming out of her eyes then she went up and give him a big hug which got him by surprise then she broke from him and looked at him with hopeful determined eyes.

"Rey, I promise when Christmas comes, we will throw you the best Christmas ever so you won't feel sad anymore!" Leni proclaimed this, causing Rey to laugh a little.

"Why are you laughing?" Leni question.

"Sorry the way you decree reminds me of how my brother did it when my birthday came around in some ways, you actually remind me of him." Rey said with a joyful tone.

"Really what is he like?" Leni question with with a curious joyful tone.

"A story for another time, right now..." He paused as he went to get his phone and he picked it up; he tapped the screen; the time on his phone read 4:50 a.m.

"It's getting close to 5:00 I want to get another hour sleep before the morning comes you should do the same Leni." Rey said.

"But before we do any of that, I have an important favor to ask of you, Leni." He said in a serious tone, which got her curious and a little bit scared.

"Please keep what happened just between the two of us. I don't want to worry or involve anyone in my personal problems, including your family, at least not yet. Can you do that for now?" Rey asked in a somewhat pleading tone Leni response with a simple head nod.

"I will hold on to your silent response as a promise." He said with a half a smile.

"Hey can I ask you something too Rey?"

"Sure what is it?"

"When you're ready, is it okay if I hear stories about your family? I really like to know what kind of people they were." Leni said with a hesitant but hopeful smile.

"I'll be more than happy to." He said with a smile.

Elsewhere, we find ourselves back in Claire's special room. A smile is shown on her face as she watches the interaction between Rey and Leni unfold through her special window.

"Thank you, Leni, for helping Rey get through this emotional turmoil when the day comes if we should ever meet. I would like to express my undying gratitude in helping him." Claire says to herself in a thankful tone.

"You know I'm beginning to wonder if it was a good idea for me to take you away from your world and your family, Rey. For that, I'm truly sorry." Claire said, bowing her head in shame and guilt, with tears streaming down her eyes but then she lifts up her head and wipe away her tears as she looks back at the window with Rey Leni.

"But I promise you this: I will make it up to you, Rey. Starting now." Claire said with great determination and resolve as the window disappeared and she got up from her seat.

She opened one of the drawers and pulled out a long sheet of paper. With a snap of her fingers, the entire paper went up in flames. Only one piece remained undestroyed. Next, she snapped her fingers and instantly, she was dressed in a fully formal business attire: a black suit and skirt with black stockings and high heels, and her hair styled up in a ponytail.

"All right, I may be acting emotionally impulsive right now, but after what I've seen, Rey is going through, I think it's the right time for me to initiate plan R. And there's nothing wrong with me starting to initiate this plan early. I just hope who I'm bringing in is the right call, and I just hope this individual will be cooperative and to be able to help." Claire says as she holds up the undestroyed piece of paper with the initials P.O.

She then snaps her fingers again, and a door appears, opening right in front of her without a moment's hesitation. She steps through, and the portal closes, disappearing.

There we go all finished. While this may be unusual, I wanted to do something in relation to the holiday. Even though it is a dream and rest assured that this moment in the dream will be important.

One last thing I hope y'all found this moment that Rey and Leni had it was acceptable, I wanted Rey to be friends with one of the Loud siblings and I found Leni to be a little bit more approachable since she and he had an interaction before in the first chapter.

Also, Claire won't always be there to help him. Most of the time, she'll be busy. Through time, he'll need a friend to talk to. But obviously, he can't tell everyone everything about himself yet. Also, sorry for the lack of Pokemon this time; I feel that they weren't important for this moment and not to mention they are sleeping in this chapter.

And also, in case anyone is wondering what Claire is planning, that's a little surprise I can't spoil right now. I'll answer another question just in case anyone asks "why didn't she help out Rey when he was in a very emotional state?" Simply put, got to be careful when your enemies are watching who knows what accounts plan; that's all they say I hope that's an acceptable answer.

However, even though there isn't much of a Christmas story. I hope everyone enjoys it or found it to be acceptable.

Rest assured, there will be a full Christmas special next year that's a promise and I keep my promises.

Thank you Reviver for suggesting this idea for a story chapter and also answering the question about the Orphnoch dopant. I can't say much at the moment, though. But let's just say I have planned things way ahead of time, and they will just have to wait and see, as I keep saying.

Also, to a guest reviewer that brought up the event of "no such luck". Don't worry; I'm well aware of that infamous episode. I will bring up the episode, but I'm going to give it a better ending than it got in the show. I insure you the moments of that episode will be much better than the actual episode and it'll be a lot more satisfying when they incur the wrath of a certain individual that I cannot wait to introduce.
