A giant bat creature chasing me was not planned on today's tour! Now you might be wondering what are you talking about, well lets go back a little shall we.
"Izuku sweetie do you have money for your trip?"
My mother asked.
"Yes mom I have plenty, besides my teacher said most of everything was already paid for."
I answered grabbing the toast my mom made. When I went to grab the jelly in the fridge went I felt a uneasy feeling creep up my back, now I've always had ADHD and been dyslexic. But this wasn't a normal feeling, I felt as though someone was watching me and my mom. Just as suddenly as this feeling came it vanished, 'todays gunna be a bad day' I thought. Unfortunately past me was correct it was a bad day.
When I showed up to school I was hoping this trip over seas to America would distract Bakugo and his lackeys from messing with me. We're going to be there for about a week and a half, but if you ask me I'd say 2 years. When they started to approach me I just knew my wish went un-granted.
"Hey Deku we heard your also going on this trip overseas, do you really think a quirkless nobody could survive overseas?"
Bakugo made a point to drive in the quirkless part. That's when one of his lackeys spilled water on me.
"Kachan I get I'm quirkless, but that has nothing to do with this trip"
I said shaking off the water. Everyone was taken back at my sudden boost of courage, including me. The feeling didn't last long though as I got hit with a clean right hook from the explosive blonde himself. After he got done kicking me on the ground a few times him and his lackeys left. I decided to get up, grunting through the pain in my ribs, and went to the bathroom to dust off my uniform and clean my face. When my hands touched the water it felt as though it was healing me, when I looked up and seen the scratches disappear and energy return I was simply shocked. I then went into a muttering fest thinking of what just happened,
'mutter...Did my quirk just unlock...mutter...a healing quirk...mutter...'
Only later I could only wish it was just as simple as a normal healing quirk.
When I got to class I sat down at my desk I noticed I was being glared at but figured it was the normal glares I got. The teacher walked in,
"Well class something has come up and I cannot attend this trip with the rest of you, now you all are still going to go on this trip but just with a different teacher. The teacher that will go with you is the new history teacher."
The teacher informed the class, as the history teacher walked in. She was a blonde girl maybe 25 at the oldest, she had gray eyes and she seemed like she was uncomfortable with being here.
"Hello I'm the history teacher you can call me , as you can probably tell I'm American and that's why I was asked to go in place of your homeroom teacher."
I could hardly tell as her Japanese was really fluent.
"Now that introduction's are done we all have a flight to catch in 3 hours so you need to leave soon so make sure you all have what you need."
The teacher said before leaving the room to speak with the homeroom teacher. Bakugo immediately got up and went to go yell at me to vent his anger as it was unknown if this teacher would stop his antics. She noticed this as she was exiting the door, so he decided to try and scare her with his explosions, it failed horribly.
"Listen kid my husband has scarier abilities then your small explosions so go sit down before I send you to the principals office."
I already liked her, though I wondered why she didn't say quirk though.
"Midoriya lets talk in the hall real quick"
She said speaking to me. I got up and when I looked up she was already in the hall. Once I entered the hall she glanced at me up and down as if she was looking for something particular,
"Not really fit and your bullied, hmm do you have any abilities?"
She asked,
"I'm qu-quirkless"
I responded looking at the floor.
"I didn't ask if you had a quirk *sighs* has anything weird happened of late to you?"
I was now officially confused then I remembered back to the water seemingly healing me,
"Well this morning when I went to wash my face, my bruises and scratches healed.."
We sat in silence for a while
"She was right, hmm I wonder what the others will think?"
She said seemingly talking to herself,
"Listen don't tell or show anyone about that ability of yours, you might not understand right now but you will once you meet my husband in America."
She stated that as if it was plenty of information.
"What d-"
I was cut off by her walking back in class. The students looked at my confused face and probably took it as another teacher wont punish Bakugo.
Once at the Airport the teacher pulled me off to the side again,
"I'm guessing you've never flown before?"
I nodded,
"Well lets hope he wont strike us down then"
She said with a silent prayer to a god. Now this confused me,
"What do you mean by him, like a god of the sky? The only god I know that would do something like that is in Greek Mythology, but that's not real."
"I'm not going to explain it here, it can wait till we get to camp."
She told me, only to make me more confused. I reluctantly dropped the subject and left to board the plane. I wished I prayed to the mysterious god before the flight because we had almost crashed 8 times, and we also had really bad turbulence. Fortunately for us they made it there in one piece. Our flight took us to New York, multiple vans will take us to the camp. The students questioned this and she called a favor of a friend of her husbands. A student asked
"Will we meet your husband?"
"Yes we will although he might be busy, you see he trains students to be able to use their power along side with different fighting styles, I also used to do that but I decided to become a history teacher."
Responded making the whole class now understand where her confidence came from, she knew how to fight.
Shortly after arriving to the camp the class was confused on the cabin system. The cabins were based on Greek gods, some had more then others, a few were just completely empty. From my limited knowledge of Greek gods the big cabins are the ones with important names, while the minor gods just got cabins slightly smaller.
"What cabin's will we be staying in?"
"We will be placing you in cabins who have similar abilities to yours, if you don't fit in any you'll stay with Rachel, she has a big cabin to herself as her abilities are special."
"Her quirk cant be much better then mine." Bakugo barked taking it as a challenge,
"Your going to be a handful, she has the power to see the future but can only tell it through a poem, we call them prophecy's because no matter how hard you try they come true."
"So what that means she can't even fight!" Bakugo started to cackle
"You think that till you get hit in the head with a hair brush." She laughed at her own comment like it was the funniest joke she ever heard,
"She hit someone more powerful then you can imagine with her hair brush, don't think you can intimidate much of anyone here." She warned Bakugo, and he just snarled
"Now tell me your quirks so we can put you in cabins with people how have similar abilities."
After sending everyone to their cabins for the week only I was left.
"Why didn't I get sent with Rachel, after all I am quirkless?"
"Midoriya, follow me and listen."
She started to walk away before I could object.
"Everyone here besides your class is quirkless, mainly most of them have mild powers, some weaker, some stronger, a few even stronger then most quirks. We try not to get noticed because it causes the mist to go crazy. Your a special case though, we got a prophecy.
'Another land unknown, how far will he go, son of the sea, sail into danger, for a smile will be number 1'
At first we didn't quite understand, but we knew we had to find you if it meant what we thought. Your the son of Poseidon the god if the seas and earthquakes."
I was quick to respond,
"No no no, my dad has a fire breathing quirk he in currently working in Atlanta. Besides what makes you so sure that its me?"
"Midoriya was there a kid in your class that had a quirk that made him look like a goat, and did he leave switch schools?" I nodded
"That was a satyr, they have the ability to tell if someone is a half-blood."
"Wait a half-blood?" I was even more confused.
"Yes, half mortal, half god. We're almost there, its time you meet my husband Percy."
I was half wondering what Percy will be like and why she wants them to meet, that's when we got to the lake and seen him
"So that's him Annabeth?" A tall man asked, he had a strong but sleek build, Sea-green eyes like mine, a nice tan, he's waring cargo shorts and a loose orange t-shirt had the words half-blood printed on it. Annabeth nodded,
"Its nice to meet you my names Percy what's yours?" The man now identified as Percy asked
"Izuku Midoriya.. can I ask why we had to meet?" I questioned them
"Of course, we're half brothers, our dad Poseidon had recently told me that you existed but he said he couldn't say anything other then that. In fact here follow me to the water, when you touch it do you feel energized and relaxed?" Percy asked while running his hand through the water, I copied his action and did the same, to my surprise the feeling that I had in the school bathroom returned so I nodded.
"There you go, DAD JUST CLAIM HIM ALREADY UNLESS YOU WANT THE SAME FOR HIM THAT HAPPENED TO ME!"
Percy just yelled into the sky. I felt like my head was going to explode because of the amount of information I've been taking in.
"No response damn, sorry looks like he's either busy right now or he wants you to prove yourself… I KNOW, Annabeth you said he was bullied right. Then if he beats him in battle maybe."
Annabeth shook her head
"Bad idea his bully is stronger then him right now, but how about instead he slays that loose bat in the forest?" Percy nodded in agreement, "That should work, lets go get you some armor and a weapon kid"
And that's how I ended up being chased by a giant bat!
I entered the forest with some light armor and a sword, I don't know what they expect me to do with a weapon and no training. I started looking for the river they told me about, I decided to drink some water before probably dying, and that's when I heard a scream. I looked in the direction of the scream and saw a vary pretty girl with jet black hair, light leather armor, and blue jeans. She was about to get hit by the giant bat,
"Fo..Found the bat...it's hu..huge!" I yelled when I spotted the bat chasing the girl that's when I felt a tug on my gut and then my instincts took over, my feet started to move on their own, I threw away the sword. The tug growing stronger inside me I let out a scream,
"YOUR FIGHTS WITH ME NOW BASTARD!"
The bat now began to charge me and not the the girl
"IDIOT WHY W-"
The girl didn't get the chance to finish her sentence when she saw the huge wave coming from behind me. Just as I was about to attack I could feel the water touching my feet and as I touched it a surge of energy filled me, I could sense the water around me. In an attempt to see how much I could control I tried to launch multiple water tridents, to my surprise the water responded to my will and the water took the form of multiple tridents. The water tridents I created flew through the sky straight into the bats wings, making the bat fall from the tree tops, but I didn't stop there, I then created water chains to pull the bat into the tidal wave that used the rest of the water and energy I had, the final attack turned it into dust. By the time the water died down the girl got out of her shock,
"Your a son of Poseidon.."
I was so drained from controlling so much water that when I touched the ground I nearly collapsed, and I would've if the girl I saw earlier hadn't caught me.
"Your and idiot for doing that, clearly you don't know the consequences of using your godly parents power." She said shaking her head,
"Names Izuku Midoriya.. not idiot."
I quipped through my exhaustion
"Estelle Blofis, but my friends call me Este."
"Why did you come in the forest anyway your clearly new to camp half-blood."
"Per..Percy and -, I mean Annabeth, wanted m..me to defeat that bat and I didn't think I could, till I saw you cornered then my body moved on its own." I said eventually catching my breath
"Of course my stupid brother did that but I'm surprised sis did too" Estelle said in a disappointed tone
"How about you help me go tell th-"
"WAIT YOUR PERCY'S SISTER!" I yelled in surprise,
"Yea how is that so shocking?"
"Well he's just well.. he's kind of intimidating while you seem more approachable, not to mention your better looking..." I realized I had said that last thing out loud.
"Not that he do-" I tried to explain when I noticed her bright red face.
"Lets go find my useless brother, can you walk on your own."
I just nodded
"Good lets go Emerald eyes..*coughs* I mean idiot."
She said marching off, now it was my turn to be a little red. Estelle was out of the forest long before I was due to my low stamina. When I finally made it out Estelle already found Percy.
"Oww, Estelle you know you shouldn't go around and punching people for no reason." Percy said clearly in a little pain,
"You deserved it, you let an amateur in the forest to slay something that multiple cabins had failed to kill, he could've died!" Estelle yelled at Percy,
"Well your both alive and now Izuku knows how it feels to control the tides." Percy rebutted,
"Actually he seems to have better control over water then you, he made tridents and chains with his water something you've never done." She stated proudly knowing it was the truth.
"Estelle sons of Poseidon don't have the power to create multiple weapons out of water." Percy said with a confused look on his face,
"She's not lying I created multiple tridents and chains." I said joining the two's conversation.
"Izuku you said you were quirkless right? Because to me it sounds like your the first half-blood to have a quirk."
Estelle seemingly shocked, "But that impossible right? I mean moms quirk didn't go to you, and moms and dads mixed to create mine."
I picked up on the mention of quirks,
"Wait half-bloods don't have quirks? And what's your quirk Este?"
"I never sai- Whatever, my quirk allows me to make elemental weapons, but I most efficient with wind and water."
Shortly after hearing about her quirk I went into a muttering fit, "Izuku? IZUKU!" Percy said trying to get his attention,
"Sorry what, I got distracted because of Este's amazing quirk" Estelle got a little red again,
"Anyway if you have a quirk it seems to work seamlessly with our dads abilities." Percy said,
"You want to be a hero in Japan right, then Estelle will teach you hand to hand combat and I'll teach you how to use your powers and more in a fight, but there's one issue.." Percy said,
"You'll have to finish middle school here.. in America… Estelle's dad, my stepdad, works at a middle school and I can get you in it, but then you'll have to live at camp…" Percy finished, I was shocked at the offer
"Can I have a little time to think things over and to call my mom?" I asked,
"Of course" Percy responded.
"Mom.. who is my dad, really." I asked on the phone,
"Mom why didn't you tell me, what if I could've acted like I had an advanced version of water manipulation!" I yelled upset at finding out my mother had lied to me for all these years.
"Mom their offering to train me.. but that means I'll be here for the rest of middle school, I'll come home a few months before the entrance exam for UA. I want to do it, even if you say no." I said in anger, I had a surge of confidence after fighting that giant bat.
"Ill call you every few days love you mom" then I hung up.
That's how I ended up staying at camp half-blood for training.
Editors notes - Hello readers Author here, if you couldn't tell already this is a crossover between the book series Percy Jackson. I think its important to share I have read almost all of Rick Riordan's books that involve Percy and the other hero's. I haven't read the Trails of Apollo, so I'm sorry if there's a character you were hoping to see in this, I'm also sorry if some characters aren't the exact same. You could say different universe or whatever but in reality I can't replicate another writers style perfectly and I also needed to edit some characters to fit the story so sorry if that doesn't sit right with you.
Another thing as of this current moment I have 1 more rough draft chapter written and once I finish going over it and refining most of it I will be uploading it too, I can not say for sure how long this series will go, hopefully if I can be consistent enough I can make it to the Overhaul arc but I cannot say for certain yet. All I can say is I hope for you to stay with me for this ride and enjoy it along the way, eventually I might do some fight scene overhauls and make them better but until then please forgive me if fights seem a little boring for the first few chapters.
Small changes were made to dialog and story but I mainly reformatted the dialog to make it easier to read.
