Currently it was a quiet day in the school of Beacon Academy, the prestigious school that trains the future protectors of humanity against the creatures of Grimm, the huntsman.
It has been weeks since most of the members of team RWBY, a huntress in training first year team of four students took on Roman Torchwick and the White Fang at the docks, preventing them from stealing large amounts of Dust that they plan to steal from the SDC, or Schnee Dust Company.
Since then, team RWBY have become sort of mini celebrities in the school, with many people asking for selfies or autographs from the four girls.
This in tern managed to spell over to their unofficial sister team, Team JNPR. Almost every single member of the team was getting caught in the spotlight, except for the weakest first-year student at bigot Academy who ironically was the leader of the team, Jaune Arc.
Unlike his friends, he was not getting any attention as many people thought he didn't deserve being on a team with the prestigious Pyrrha Nikos, the thunder berserker known as Nora Valkyrie, and the silent ninja known as Lie Ren.
They also we're not too keen on the fact that he was best best friends with the leader of team RWBY, the youngest student to ever enter the academy at the age of 15, Ruby Rose.
The pressure could be felt on the young man, and although he tried to ignore it, some part of him was starting to give in to all the pressure people were giving him due to the jealousy that he was friends with six attractive girls, and that he lived in the same dorm room with two of them.
Even at lunch, it was no exception that he was getting cold stares.
"What's wrong, Jaune?"inquired Ruby, wanting to know what was wrong with her male best friend.
"Nothing."simply replied Jaune.
"He's just nervous as he's getting cold stares."said Ren, pointing out the various jealous boys and jealous girls that were staring at the young man in question.
"I don't see why you're getting all the attention."said Weiss, wondering why the annoying guy who has a crush on her is getting so much attention.
"He's sitting at the same table with six attractive girls and a pretty boy, I can see where people are starting to get jealous. Especially with our current reputations."said Yang, who knew from her other friends that most of the student body was jealous of Jaune Arc.
Notout of his skill as a huntsman-in-training as he was the weakest first year student, but by the fact that he was friends and hanged around six attractive girls in a pretty boy.
"Why am I included in your statement?"inquired Ren, wanting to know when he was labeled a pretty boy.
"Ren, as your childhood friendly it's pretty obvious that we're both attractive! I mean, with your silky hair and feminine features, it's obvious why people would label you a pretty boy."said Nora, as it was pretty obvious to her that her childhood friend was attractive.
"Typical."said Pyrrha, who hated that she was treated nothing more than a piece of meat to be stared at.
That is one of the reasons she has a 'secret' crush ok Jaune, because he was the first person who ever treat her like a normal girl, instead of a trophy on a high pedestal. What she didn't know is that a majority of the people in their friend group knew about her crush on The Dork Knight, except for Weissnand Ruby. Weiss cuz she believes Pyrrha is above his League, like way above his League. And Ruby because she's kind of innocent when it comes to those kinds of things, thanks to her father and sister sheltering her from the birds and the bees talk.
"I never understood the whole guys can't be friends with attractive girls otherwise other guys will get jealous dynamic."said Blake, who knew about this dynamic from what she saw in the book she read.
"We'll just like guys will never get girls, girls will never truly understand the mind of the dude."said Gang, with Ren and Jaune nodding their heads in agreement.
"It's an issue that's existence since the dawn of man and faunus."said Jaune, adding the last part out of respect for Blake, who was secretly a faunus.
"Well I don't mean to be rude but can you move. The cold stares you're receiving is making me lose my appetite."said Weiss, causing most of the people on the table to look at her.
"What?"she asked, clearly perplexed.
"And you wonder why most people call you the Ice Queen."said Ruby, mad that her female bestie was telling her male bestie to leave.
"I'm just saying what everyone else is thinking."said Weiss in a huff, crossing arms over her chest to indicate her point.
"Now your pouting."said Blake, wondering why Weiss sometimes says the things she does without thinking.
"Guys, she's right."said Jaune, shocking everyone at the table as they looked at him.
"I'm surprised you're agreeing with her even though she's being a complete jerk to you."said Nora, who was surprised that her fearless leader was defending the Ice Queen.
"Well this all started because of me. I'm sure them being jealous is only natural since you guys are basically mini celebrities."said Jaune, who knew all too well that the situation at the docks made team RWBY, and by proxy their friends popular.
He also knew that he was the only one excluded from all this popularity as he was too weak for people to take him seriously, especially those who have sparred with him in combat class with professor Goodwitch.
"See! Even he agrees with me and I'm the one being mean to him."said Weiss, deciding to use the situation to make herself look better.
"I think I just want to be alone for a while."said Jaune, before he stood up with his tray of food and left.
"I'm worried about him."said Pyrrha, who made sure that Jaune was out of earshot before she said what she said.
"What do you mean?"asked Ruby out of concern.
"Ever since the incident at the dogs, he looks like he's been getting down. I don't understand as he wasn't even there."said Pyrrha, not understanding why her partner was feeling so down when he wasn't even involved in the incident at the docks.
"It's probably an ego thing."said Yang, making everyone turn their attention towards her.
"What do you mean by that?"inquired Nora, wanting to know what Yang had to say about Jaune-Jaune.
"Guys have the sensitive egos that could easily be destroyed by the slightest indication that they're not as strong as they think they are. I've dude if you guys like that and let me tell you, when their ego is crushed, it's an ugly mess. You've ever seen a guy ugly cry, it is not pretty."said Yang, who knew about this thanks to her past with a few boyfriends.
"As a guy, I can agree with some of what Yang said."said Ren, slightly agreeing with the blonde brawler.
"I don't know. Jaune doesn't appear to be that type of guy who thinks they're the macho type."said Ruby, as Jaune appears to be the more down to Remnant type.
"He is, but all guys have a ego where they have to be strong. It's in their nature or something."said Yang, as again she had several past boyfriends who had similar personalities.
"I'm sure he'll get over it."said Weiss, as Jaune was the resilient type based on how many times she recovered from her past rejections.
"I just hope he doesn't do something stupid."said Pyrrha, worried about her partner and secret crush.
As for Jaune, he was eating at a table at the far side of the room, far away from everyone so that they wouldn't pay attention to him as his friends continue their lunch and discussion about him. He was none the wiser to this conversation, as he was too busy contemplating on what he was going to do next.
'Team RWBY are so amazing! They matters to take on a criminal like Roman Torchwick and an organization like the White Fang. And then there's me, the nobody who many people think I shouldn't be here. What most people don't know is that I shouldn't be here in the first place. They don't know I faked my way into Beacon, and that I'm really just a nobody who doesn't even know how to swing a sword properly. Haaaaa...If I don't do something to improve quickly, I'll just end up being a burning for my friends, the only people who have truly ever believed in me.' thought Jaune to himself, wondering what he was going to do next as he wasn't sure if he even still wants to be at Beacon.
It has always been his dream to be a huntsman and help people in need, just like his ancestors. The only problem with that is that his family got in his way and prevented him from going to a proper huntsman school as he was the youngest and only male of his generation. They wanted him to carry on the family name and all that BS, but he had other plans. Now that he was actually at Beacon however, reality was starting to hit him like a truck going to fast on a freeway. Jaune knew he needed to do something in order to make himself improve. The Vytal festival is in a few weeks, and unless he does something drastic, human be a burden to his teammates.
'I wish the answer was something as easy as wishing on a Star...Heh, when mice shoot electricity.' thought Jaune to himself.
What he didn't know if that little statement in his head would soon come true in more ways than one!
And it all starts with a wish upon a falling star!
I decided to change up the scenario of Jaune going to the Pokemon world.
So instead of Mew sending him to the Pokemon world, I decided to go with Jirachi, the wish Pokemon.
Now I bet you're wondering how Jirachi is going to get Jaune to Paldea, specifically Uva Academy. Well you just have to read the next chapter to find out.
