Hello again Readers!

Christmas has come around again, and even though I've got 'Aftermath' and 'Animals We Have Become' to work on, I still found time to squeeze in a TMNT Christmas Special Fanfic! Truth be told I wasn't sure if I was going to write one, but then a plot bunny bites me and it comes to fruition! lol!

So here we are! A warm-warming one-shot which should get you in the mood for Christmas!

Note: Some characters mentioned in this chapter belong to my dear friend and co-writer Tyroth Darkstorm! 'God Jul!' my friend! (Swedish for Merry Christmas!)

I Wish It Was Always Christmas

As The Night of Christmas Eve started to move into Christmas Day morning, the City of New York glittered against the night sky that was full of snowflakes that blew around the buildings before settling on the ground which was already blanketed with white.

In the City that never slept, it was even more upbeat than usual with the Christmas festivities keeping it alive, people were singing carols, or attending late night shopping or parties, there was no end to the excitement.

Yet unknown to the humans, deep down in the underground sewers in a hidden lair, the Hamato Clan were still sleeping, yet it wouldn't be long before the youngest of the clan would be awake and the ripple would take effect.

In one of the bedrooms, the five-year-old human Asian girl Kemeko stirred as she slowly woke up.

As she did, she stretched out her feet and they bumped into something at the bottom, no sooner did she do that than her heartbeat fast with excitement as she realised what it was!

"He's been!" she thought as she sat up, putting on a small bedside lamp with a shade decorated with moons and stars that gave off pretty shapes on the wall and ceiling.

In the little light she could see her blue and silver stocking that was bulging with little presents.

Picking up the stocking she rummaged through it and poured the contents onto her duvet, her stomach doing several flips as she saw the treasures before her.

Ripping off the decorated paper, Kemeko grinned as she found some glitter glue pens, a couple of pretty hair scrunchies, one was blue and silver, and the other was purple and gold, a couple of small bottles of lavender and peppermint bubble bath, some playdough, two bags of chocolate coins, one gold and one silver, and a satsuma.

Looking at her bedside clock, she saw it was 7.15pm and she wondered whether to see if Pandora was awake yet.

She was about to climb out of bed and check when the door opened and her eight-year-old turtle/lizard hybrid cousin came in wearing novelty Christmas nightclothes and carrying her stocking, a red and gold one.

"Kem!" she cheered "Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas Pandora!" Kemeko smiled "What did Santa put in your stocking?"

"I'll show you!" Pandora squeaked as she jumped on the bed prompting Kemeko to shush her slightly as she knew the rest of their family would still be sleeping.

The hybrid emptied the contents on the bed and Kemeko saw she had gotten a small stuffed tiger, a black notebook with the words 'Private' written on it in white, some face gems, a couple of pens with sparkly fur on the ends, one pink and the other orange, a couple of bottles of exotic bubble bath, some chocolate money, and a satsuma.

"What a cool haul!" Pandora grinned then she held up the two face gems packets, both had rhinestones all the colours of the rainbow.

"Shall we play with these?" she asked, "And I'll make you look pretty?"

"Please!" Kemeko grinned and the hybrid peeled off the plastic and started to put the sparkly stickers on her cousin's face.

The girls played with the stickers as well as their stocking presents and laughed, yet as they did, they didn't realise the time was slipping by and as they were giggling and laughing at each other due to the mess of stickers on their faces, the door to the bedroom opened and the orange masked turtle Michelangelo appeared.

"Girls?" he asked raising an eyebrow ridge.

"Uncle Mikey!" the girls called in stereo "Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas Girls!" Michelangelo replied "You been in here for the past hour? I half expected you to be running into your parents' rooms yelling 'It's Christmas!'?"

The two girls looked at each other then at the clock and realised the time.

It was 8.30pm and they had been playing for over an hour!

"Aww Shell!" Pandora cried "Guess we forgot as we were having fun here!" she pointed to Kemeko's face "You're all sparkly!"

"You too!" Kemeko laughed back then they slipped off the bed gathering their gifts back in their stockings then went over to Michelangelo.

"How about you go and wake them whilst I get breakfast started? April and Casey said they would be down here by 10pm."

"Okay Uncle Mike!" the girls chorused, and they went off towards their parents' respected rooms.

In Raphael and Monalisa's room, the red masked turtle stirred slightly as he started to wake up and he snuggled against his wife who lay next to him.

Feeling her mate's body against hers, Monalisa slowly opened her eyes and turned to him.

"Mmm, Morning hun." She whispered.

Raphael gave his signature smirk as he looked at the lizard lady and kissed her cheek.

"Morning babe." He said, "Merry Christmas!"

He looked at the clock then he looked to the door.

"That's funny." He said, "Normally Pandora would be in here cheering for Christmas Day."

"She's let us sleep in!" Monalisa cried propping herself up "It's a miracle!"

"I'll say it's a miracle!" Raphael said, then his ninja ears picked up footsteps.

"Hold on…"

Monalisa held up her fingers and counted down from five and as she reached one, she clicked her fingers and the door opened to reveal Pandora with sparkly stickers on her face, holding up her stocking like a trophy and grinning from ear to ear.

"It's Christmas!" she cheered.

"And…it starts!" she said with a weary smile and Raphael nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Kemeko went into Leonardo's room, and she saw her adopted father fast asleep.

She wanted to go and wake him, but he looked so peaceful.

Just as she wondered whether to go in, or wait a bit longer, Leonardo stirred and opened his eyes then saw his adopted human daughter before him.

"Hey Lotus!" he smiled "Merry Christmas!"

Kemeko grinned and ran into with her stocking.

"Merry Christmas Dad!" she said, "Santa came!"

"That he did!" Leonardo smiled as he sat up in bed and Kemeko climbed onto it showing him all her presents.

"I see you got started!" Leonardo said as he looked at Kemeko's face covered with stickers.

"Pandora put them on me!" she said, "Uncle Mike found us playing in my room."

"Did he?" Leonardo asked, "I'm really surprised Pandora didn't go running into Raph and Mona's room as soon as she woke up."

"Must be a miracle." He thought to himself.

He tapped Kemeko on the nose gently.

"Well shall we think about getting up and ready for the Big day?" he asked.

"Lets!" Kemeko said hugging her father tightly.

After an hour had past, everyone else was awake and April and Casey arrived from topside to join them, and Michelangelo with April and Monalisa's help cooked up a big, tasty breakfast.

Also, with their meal the grown-ups had prosecco and the girls had orange juice.

"Can I try a bit of that?" Pandora asked pointing at the glass of prosecco her mother was holding.

Monalisa hesitated a little before looking at Raphael.

"Do you think we should let her?" she asked.

"I think so!" Michelangelo piped up before Donatello elbowed him and frowned.

Raphael ignored Michelangelo and thought for a second then he nodded at his mate.

"Might as well." He said to which Monalisa nodded and let Pandora have a sip.

No sooner did she do so than Pandora's eyes widened, and she stuck out her tongue in disgust.

"Eww!" she cried.

"Not to your taste sweetie?" Raphael asked laughing.

"It is an acquired taste sweetie." Monalisa said chuckling, whilst the other turtles, April, Casey, and Splinter laughed hard.

"She may think it's disgusting now, but taste buds do change when one matures." Donatello said going into his theory mode.

"Not here Donnie." April said giggling "But you're right, Pandora might sing a different tune when she's old enough."

"Well, until she's Twenty-One at least." Casey agreed.

"It's gonna be interesting to see what she'll be like at that age." April said.

"I'm already wondering how Raphie Boys gonna handle the teen years?"

"That will indeed be interesting to see." Splinter mused as he took a sip of his prosecco.

After breakfast, the girls got the chance to open their main presents from under the big tree in the middle of the lair.

They couldn't wait to finish breakfast so they could get started, after all, it was the most exciting part of the day, after waiting many weeks until the big day.

Pandora was overjoyed to get a couple of new roller skates since she had outgrown her old ones, along with a couple of dolls, a toy jewellery making set, and some books.

Kemeko had been given a huge art set as she loved drawing along with a new scooter, a beaded art set and some books.

The grown-ups also exchanged presents they had got for each other and even worn their Christmas sweaters making each other laugh.

Raphael had surprised Monalisa with a beautiful silver and rose quartz bracelet and she in turn had given him a male bracelet made of tiger's eye stones with his name engraved on a silver tag in the middle.

"I would have liked to have given you earrings to match but I then remembered, you don't have earlobes." He chuckled sheepishly but Monalisa just smiled and kissed her mate gratefully.

"This was only the first part of Christmas!" Michelangelo cheered as he held up a couple of video games he had been given "We still got Mutopia in the New Year to look forward to!"

"Oh yes!" April smiled as she admired a necklace Casey had given her "And we all know how they go all out for the big celebrations at Christmas and New Year!"

"I wonder how Sonia and the twins are enjoying Christmas?" Monalisa asked "I wonder if they've been as hyper as Pandora?" she looked at her daughter who was showing Kemeko one of her dolls and Kemeko was showing her hybrid cousin the art set.

She knew Sephie would call to let her know so she wouldn't be surprised if they had woken her and Tyroth up early.

A few hours later, it was time for Christmas Dinner which consisted of Turkey and Duck and all the trimmings.

April and Monalisa joked that it was always them doing the cooking and organising whilst the boys just followed orders.

There was a bit of an argument between Raphael and Michelangelo on who was to get the turkey legs, but that fight was cut short by Splinter giving them a stern warning not to fight at Christmas.

The crackers were fun as well as the silly paper hats (which the turtles exchanged to match their masks), little toys and jokes that came with them.

Raphael rolled his eyes at the lame jokes, but he did find it very funny when they played charades as there were some names of films, songs, and books to describe through mime in the crackers.

Michelangelo's Charade was 'The Princess and the Frog' where he had to act feminine and have a crown on his head then he hopped on the floor like a frog making everyone laugh.

Raphael's charade was 'Pretty Woman' and he had to pretend to be a girl then do a sort of girly strut which got everyone hysterical.

Leonardo had to flap his arms like a bird as well as point at his ears then pretended to be an elephant with his arm as a trunk when his charade was 'Dumbo'.

Monalisa had to pretend to have a stethoscope then look confused before pretending to point with an object in her hand as her charade was 'Doctor Who'.

Donatello's Charade 'A Monster Calls' took everyone a while to figure out as he had to pretend to be a monster then call out silently, as everyone kept thinking he was a devil or a bear at first.

April's Charade was 'Sonic the Hedgehog' which made everyone laugh as she ran on the spot then pretended to be a sniffing hedgehog.

Casey's charade everyone got rather quickly as he did a star jump then pretended to be firing guns, 'Star Wars'.

Splinter's charade was hard as he tried to describe 'Game of Thrones' by pretending to sword fight, then sit down then eventually he described playing a game then sitting on a Throne.

Pandora and Kemeko had a go, yet the grown-ups had to keep reminding them not to talk as they tried to describe their charade.

After dinner and charades, they played some video games such as Mario Kartand Mario Party, as well as chatted in the living area to let their food go down then they decided to have some pudding which consisted of Mince pies, Cheese, biscuits and of course Christmas Cake and Pudding with cream or custard.

Michelangelo also got a call from his Viper girlfriend Kate over in Mutopia and he slipped off to speak to her in private for a bit as well as wish her a Merry Christmas.

Monalisa also got a call from Sephie to say Merry Christmas and how she was excited about the Hamato Clan coming to Mutopia for the New Year.

"Did the twins wake you up early?" Monalisa had asked.

"No luckily." Sephie said "They were pretty good and let Tyroth and I sleep in, though later we found out that they had woken Sonia up first!"

Monalisa laughed and explained it had been the same with Pandora and Kemeko which surprised the Gecko.

"Freya and Loki are very excited to see the girls." Sephie went on "They can't wait to show them what they have."

"Likewise with Pandora and Kemeko." Monalisa replied.

The Hours slipped by and before long, it was getting late.

April and Casey had said their goodbyes and Merry Christmas before returning to their apartment in the city.

Splinter had retired to his quarters and Monalisa and Michelangelo had started taking the plates and glasses they had used to the kitchen to wash up whilst Donatello started taking the food that was leftover away to save for tomorrow.

Kemeko sighed as she knew it wouldn't be long till bedtime and Pandora was yawning already prompting Raphael to kneel and help her tidy away her new presents.

Leonardo as he was wiping down the living room table and brushing crumbs off the furniture noticed his adopted daughter's look.

"Hey Lotus!" he smiled "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Kemeko said quietly.

"Awww sweetheart!" Leonardo said, "I can tell somethings wrong." He picked up Kemeko before sitting on the armchair, placing her on his knee and Kemeko snuggled into his jumper.

"What's got you all down in the dumps Turtle child?" he asked.

"Oh daddy," Kemeko said "I wish it was always Christmas! It's so sad when it's over!"

Leonardo laughed and looked at his daughter.

"Oh baby!" he said "Is that what's gotten you all upset? That Christmas Day is almost over?"

Kemeko nodded.

"Awww, but the funs not over yet!" Leonardo said brightly "Because the day after tomorrow, we're going to Mutopia remember? And we'll be celebrating the New Year there! And you love it there with Freya and Loki and Sonia! And you'll be able to show them your new toys and gifts!"

Upon hearing that Kemeko looked up and a smile curled on her face as she remembered.

"There we go!" Leonardo laughed "That's cheered you up! Then when the winter's over, it'll be spring, and Easter is the next big thing! You'll get chocolate eggs to enjoy! And what comes after that?"

"Summer!" Kemeko cheered.

"That's right!" Leonardo grinned "And you love going to Casey's Farmhouse in the country, don't you? And playing outdoors, and Camping, and eating ice cream, and of course in Mutopia you can swim in Lake Michigan from one of the islands there!"

"Oh yes!" Kemeko smiled,

"And don't forget you love celebrating 4th of July watching the fireworks, and your birthdays in Summer too!" Leonardo winked "Then after that it's Thanksgiving, then Halloween! So you got so much to look forward to! If it was always Christmas, there would be nothing to look forward to!"

"He's right kiddo!" Donatello said as he walked past with a tray full of plates and leftover snacks from earlier "You'd be sick of the sight of it!"

"Oh yes!" Kemeko grinned "All those presents I'd have to buy, and eating turkey all the time? That would be awful!"

Leonardo laughed then kissed Kemeko.

"There we go!" he said, "Come on Lotus, let's get you to bed!"

Kemeko yawned in agreement.

"Alright daddy." She said and Leonardo stood up and carried her to her room.

As Kemeko rested her head on Leonardo's shoulder she could see Pandora whining a little as Raphael lead her to her room.

"Come on Little Geisha." He said "Bedtime!"

"Aww dad!" Pandora fussed as she yawned "I'm not tired!"

"Oh yes you are!" Raphael replied.

"No, I'm not!" Pandora groaned.

Kemeko giggled as she knew this argument would continue until Pandora was finally asleep.

Before long, Leonardo had Kemeko tucked up and he placed her new stuffed Panda next to her.

"There we go!" he said before leaning down and giving his daughter a kiss.

"Sleep tight Lotus, and Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas dad!" Kemeko smiled up at Leonardo then after the turtle had turned out the light and left the room, Kemeko snuggled down more and closed her eyes, feeling happy it had been a great Christmas Day and that there was more to look forward to in the next coming days.

And so ends the fic! Needless to say I bet we as children wished it was always Christmas, but now as adults sometimes we can't wait for it to be over so as it comes around too quick! lol!

So anyway, unless I think up anything for 'Aftermath' or 'Animals We Have Become', I'm off to enjoy a couple of days of Christmas Cheer!

Merry Christmas to all of you on Fanfiction!
