Yet another "alternate love interest" Beastars alternate universe. This one, however, tackling a pairing that is definitely rarer than Lougosi.
I'm surprised that there is little Dom/Legoshi fics out there, considering that he is a character of the Beastars franchise that is canonly gay. So, I decided to make one of my own, since I had free time and felt bored.
The inspiration for this story came when I crossed paths with an interesting artwork online, which served as a trigger for me to think "why no one pairs Dom with Legoshi?" and decide to write a story that is basically this.
Now, before you start, this story might have some things that act as trigger to some people, like homophobia, bullying and even domestic violence. So, just to be safe, if any of those things trigger bad memories for you, you better leave this story alone and go look for something lighter to read.
Also, this will have around the same level of violence and blood as the actual anime/manga, so, be warned.
Anyway, enough of this poor writer's ramblings. On with the story!
It was strange seeing the Drama Club like that.
This place was normally one of union and dedication from all of the ones involved. Both carnivores and herbivores.
A place where they were supposed to put all their differences aside, and stand together as one single team. A place where they were not herbivores and carnivores, but only animals, working together to achieve great things and show the school how well they all got along, and give them an example to follow and improve their school and their entire world.
However, it just hasn't felt like that anymore.
Not since Tem died.
To have someone close to you die like that was always a big thing. It always hit you. They were there until recently, and now, just like that, they were not anymore. Tem was a good friend to many of them, and he was gone in such a horrible way.
Worst of all: a lot of people seemed to believe that the culprit was also a member of Drama Club.
The idea that one of their own club partners killed and ate Tem seemed to be the main reason why they were all acting like that.
The herbivores were all looking over their shoulders. It was nearly as if they were afraid that the carnivores would suddenly jump at them at any moment. They were scared. Scared like they wouldn't be days before. Scared because Tem's death was a grim reminder to them that death could come at any time, and that it could come through the claws and fangs of a carnivore.
As for the carnivores, they could clearly see the fear and mistrust on the eyes of the herbivores. The same animals whom, days before, didn't had the same expressions on their faces when they looked at them. Nearly as if they were saying "I know you are a bad person, and nothing you say will change my mind". Being the target of such mistrust when you did nothing wrong can certainly leave a bad taste on anyone's mouth. It hurt, and it served to remind them that the herbivores didn't really trusted them, and probably never would. No matter how much they tried to earn their trust.
As a result, a heavy atmosphere built up on their club, which was before a place for happy working and peaceful coexistence between all of the members. Of course, their supervisor and president, Sanu, believed that this was only for a while. It was usually like that when the students heard the news of a predation case, they got scared and weary of the carnivores for a while, but they eventually got over it and returned to their normal lives. He was confident that the Drama Club would return to work as normal soon.
This death, that of Tem, his pretty close to home to everyone. After all, it was one of their own friends, victim of predation on their own school. However, Sanu knew that, in the end, they would remember that they were all friends. The herbivores would remember that not all carnivores were bloodthirsty monsters, and the carnivores would remember that the herbivores were capable of appreciating and trusting them.
He knew it. He hoped for it...
Meanwhile, many members of the Drama Club were working hard on their assignments, as they usually did on every other day before Tem's unfortunate early departure...
Among them, was Dom.
The peafowl was always a hard worker. He was currently working alongside Kibi. The anteater and his fellow avian were both busy working on the costumes for the upcoming Adler play.
Of course, they were the same clothes that were use on all of the previous times they played Adler. However, they needed to make some adjustments to one of the costumes. The one of the water spirit.
That used to be Tem's character.
Now that Tem was no longer there, this role would be hand over to someone else. Which was why they needed to make some adjustments to the outfit so it would fit the new actor who would be playing that role.
"Like this?" Kibi asked, as he did the sewing like Dom taught him. Dom nodded at his little friend.
"Yes, just like that." Dom told the anteater. "Remembered to be careful with your fingers."
"Well, it is hard because I have actual fingers, you know?" Kibi said to Dom, who made out an amused sound as he heard that. That is when they heard something.
"Oh! Louis-san!"
It was Sanu's voice. Dom turned his head to look, and he saw Louis had come back. Behind him, was no other than Legoshi.
Dom was familiar with Legoshi. After all, he had been on Drama Club since his first year in Cherryton. That was longer than Dom, who came to Cherryton later than the wolf, despite being the canine's senpai. He had to admit, he had been weary of the wolf at first but, after those years working right by his side, Dom had easily overcame those feelings. Legoshi was a good wolf, and he wouldn't hurt a fly.
Actually, he would probably start talking to the fly and offer it some of his food.
He waved at the wolf, who looked at him and, still hunched over, like always, waved back at the peafowl.
However, instead of going to meet with them and ask Dom how he could be useful, Legoshi went alongside Louis, following him closely like a puppy, and walking inside of the deer's office before Louis himself walked inside and closed the door.
"Oh, boy..." Dom sad to himself as he saw the door close. Kibi was looking at the door too.
"Is Legoshi-kun in trouble?" The anteater asked. Dom could not really answer that. It was unusual for him to call others into his office, unless it was to discuss something important. Louis certainly ran a tight ship around Drama Club. Even more than Sanu...
"Legoshi in trouble?" Someone else asked, causing the two to turn. "Well that would be a nice change. I always thought that wolf was too much of a nice guy for his own good. He needs to grow some mean bones on his body."
That was the kind of thing Kai would usually say. It was known that he was of the opinion that a carnivore who does not speaks for himself or stands up to others will end up not having any respect from his peers. Which was why he would often show worry (or would it be annoyance?) at Legoshi's behavior of always acting as if he wanted to vanish in the background and how he never stood up to anyone, to the point where it could be easily assumed the wolf was a pushover.
However, saying that it would be a "nice change" for the wolf to get into trouble with Louis was a bit of too much of a stretch, as the two herbivores thought.
Dom turned his attention back into the door of Louis office, only to see that a lot of the club members now had their ears glued into the door, trying to hear what was going on the other side of that door.
The main actor's office was soundproof, but you could still hear something if you were really quiet and glued your head to the door, as all of those mammals seemed to know and were currently trying to do. However, Sheila was having none of it.
The cheetah was quick to put an end to that, as she told all of the animals trying to eavesdrop to go back to work, as there was still a lot to do. Everyone didn't questioned and did as the angry cheetah was asking them to. The herbivores, in particular, seemed to be in a hurry to do what the carnivore was telling of them before she got too mad.
However, it was obvious that some of them seemed to still want to put their ears on that door so they could hear what was going on inside of that room.
It still amazed Dom how much people liked to pry on the lives of others. Turning every stone, opening ever door, overhearing every conversation, all of that for the chance of knowing what was happening on the lives of others.
Perhaps so they could share it with all of their friends.
Without really caring about what effect this would have on the life of the person they are looking into.
Without caring how it will hurt them. How much it will throw their whole lives into complete disarray...
"Done!" Kibi's voice suddenly came and snapped Dom off his thoughts. He looked down at the little anteater, seeing how he had just finished with the costume, and how he was looking at it, admired with his own handywork.
"What do you think, Dom-senpai?" Kibi asked, and the peafowl took a look at the costume.
"It looks very good, Kibi-kun." He said to the anteater.
"Hey, ain't that Tem's costume?" Kai asked, and this caused the two to look at him. A brief silence followed those words, before Dom spoke:
"Yes, it was Tem's. But now that he is... no longer here, we needed to make a few changes."
"Oh, yeah." Kai said, looking at the two. "For the new actor... I'm two sizes smaller than Tem, by the way."
The two blinked as they looked at him.
"Oookay?" Dom said, and it suddenly felt awkward. He decided to turn his attention back to Kibi.
"Anyway, you did excellent with this outfit, Kibi-kun."
"Thanks!" The anteater said, "I really got good at sewing thanks to your lessons, senpai. Maybe one day I'll be as good at it as you."
Dom nodded at him. In fact, he had been the one who had taught Kibi to sew. He had always been quite skilled with a needle, and this had served on his favor many times on the past. It certainly came in very handy by being part of the stage crew. The Drama Club needed outfits to perform, and this meant being able to work on the outfits they already had or, if need be, make them out from scratch.
Dom was glad that his sewing talent was useful and appreciated...
"Yes, it certainly look nice." Dom said, taking the outfit from Kibi's small hands to look it closely. "But, we might want to make a neck opening just a little bit wider. Don't want Zoe-kun to get his horns stuck while he is putting it."
"Huh?" Kai said, looking at the two. "Wait, what? Zoe? The goat?"
"Yeah." Kibi said, "He is the one who is going to be Tem's replacement. Haven't you heard?"
"WHAT!?" Kai said, the loudness of his voice making the two herbivores jump back a little. "That bland goat with a monotone voice!? HE will be the replacement!? Are you kidding me!? Who decided that!?"
"L-Louis did..." Kibi said, "He told us yesterday that Zoe would be the one replacing Tem as the Water Spirit, so we needed to have the outfit adjusted so it would fit him, since he is two sizes smaller than Tem. You know, like you?"
Kai looked absolutely outraged.
"Louis is putting that idiot who eats the scripts on stage!? You cannot be serious! I should be the one playing the role! I bet I know the lines better than him! I'll go talk to Louis now!"
"Kai?" Dom said, as the mongoose walked past them and in direction to Louis' door. "Kai, wait!"
"I am the one who belongs on stage!" Kai said, "Not that idiot! I'll make Louis see reason!"
He was gone before Dom could stop him. He was slamming the door open and walking inside. A few seconds later, Zoe came out, looking downcast as he closed the door behind himself and walked out of on the room. Dom and Kibi continued to look at the door, both looking worried.
They looked at it for a few moments, before Kibi said:
"But... Kai is not much of a better actor than Zoe. Actually, I even think that Zoe is better than him... I mean, a little bit."
Dom said nothing in return, but he had no choice but to agree with what Kibi just said.
Yes, Kai was among the members with most passion of the acting team. He was always the kind who was willing to give everything when he had to play a role. He put himself into the role he was playing, and he did it body and soul. It was quite admirable of how he dedicated himself to the roles he played, no matter what they were.
However, when it came to actually acting, Kai was not really...
Kai opened the door.
"What are you looking at!?" The mongoose yelled, before slamming the door behind himself and stomping away from it. It was clear by his expression that this meeting didn't went as he wanted. Not at all. Dom even thought that maybe it was a good idea to stay clear from him until he calmed down a little bit.
Not too long after, the door opened, and Legoshi and Louis came out. The wolf looked their way, and Dom waved at them.
"Legoshi! You are not in trouble, are you?" Kibi asked, and Legoshi told them that he wasn't.
"So, what did Louis wanted with you?" Dom asked, and Legoshi looked at the peafowl.
"Oh... He just wanted to... uhh, discuss some things for the play." Legoshi said, being quite vague when talking. Dom looked at him with a raised eyebrow, and Dom was about to question him, when he was surprised by Louis himself, who came on with Kai in tow. The mongoose looked even grumpier than before.
"Dom." Louis said, "I moved Kai to the production team."
Louis was usually blunt like that. He was not one to beat around the bush, neither to waste time on trivial talk. However, the bluntness with which he said that certainly caught Dom off guard.
"Please, be sure to train him to make a proper work. We cannot afford to have any mistakes happening on the night we play Adler. It is already bad enough we had to replace a lost actor practically on the last minute." Louis said, and then he turned to look at Kai.
"And you make sure to learn how to do your new job properly. If anything goes wrong on the day of the play because you screwed up, then you can be sure there will be consequences."
Louis didn't even waited for the answer, as he just turned around and left, leaving the four animals to just look at him with varying degrees of surprise and, on Kai's case, pure hatred.
"Stupid rich boy..." Kai said as they all looked at the departing form of Cherryton's future beastar.
"So..." Dom said, "Kai, you are on our team now? Well, in this case, I should probably teach you the ropes, right? Legoshi, you help me?"
Of course, the wolf was up to do whatever was ask of him. That was just how the wolf was. He aimed to please and did what they asked without really questioning. Even when, sometimes, it seemed that Legoshi actually wanted to refuse when they were asking something out of him.
"Dude, stop being such a pushover." Kai said to him, as he was still mad over the entire "being moved to the production team" thing.
"I'm an actor!" Kai said to them. "And a good one! Well, maybe not the best one on the school, but I'm good!"
Dom and Legoshi shared a look among themselves. On his time on the Drama Club, Kai only acted two times, and they both remembered Kai's performance on that presentation back on the spring...
"Why is this happening to me!?" Kai complained. "Why am I being demoted to being a stage hand!? This is not fair! Because I complained about that goat without a drop of talent or to be put to replace Tem? That's ridiculous! I shouldn't be demoted just because of that!"
Dom looked at the mongoose, and then he said:
"Kai, I think calling it a 'demotion' is going a little far."
"Well, what else I'm supposed to call it?" Kai asked, "I'm staying in the shadows operating the spotlight and pulling the curtains instead of on the stage saying my lines and having everyone applaud me! And even when it ends, I'll still be behind the curtains while all of the actors bow to the audience as they throw flowers on them! Sounds like a demotion to me."
Kai was clearly very sensitive about all of this, and everyone who heard him talk like that (what luckily were only the production team) could easily say.
"Kai, being part of the Drama Club is much more than just being on stage and receiving applause." Dom said to the mongoose, who looked away as he crossed his arms, pouting like a child. "And being part of the production crew is not a demotion. It is not less important than being on the stage saying your lines. Tell me, do you think the play would run smoothly if there was no one to operate the spotlight or work on the curtains? Or to make all of the outfits the actors have to use on stage?"
Kai didn't answered. Dom continued:
"Kai, everyone who works on a club is important. For our club is no different. We all have our parts to play. It may not be on stage, but it is important nonetheless. We all have an important job to do as part of the club. We do make our job to ensure that the actors will be able to do their part. We work on the back of the stage so the ones on the front can do a great job for the audience."
Kai looked at Dom as he continued talking. It looked like the mongoose wanted to say something at the peafowl, but he apparently found nothing that would make for a good comeback to Dom's words. So, like a child, Kai limited himself to cross his arms over his chest and mumble under his breath as he looked at the ground. This did granted his three new friends on the crew to look at him. Dom, on his end, looked at him with worry, and he approached Kai and placed a feathery hands on his shoulder.
"I know it is a great change to go from being on the stage to being behind the curtains." Dom said to him, making Kai look at him. "But, if you are willing to give it a try, then I'm sure we can make it work. So, Kai-kun? Please?"
Kai looked at Dom for a few moments, seeing those pools of black look back at him, nearly as if peering into his soul. Kai was among the ones who always thought the fact that Dom's pure-black eyes made them a little unnerving. However, it was still possible to see the emotion in them. In this case, it was possible to see the worry that Dom was genuinely showing for Kai, as well as the sincere plea for him to give the stage crew a shot.
"Ugh... fine." Kai said, still seeming to be grumpy, but Dom was actually able to clap his hands with happiness that Kai was, at the very least, starting to come along. So, Dom put himself to work with the newest member of his crew.
He started with a tour through the backstage place. It was nothing that Kai hadn't seen already, as he was familiar with the dressers and with the area behind the stage. However, it was his first time seeing the areas above the stage, where the holophotes were, as well as on the storage, where they kept the outfits and other materials often used in rehearsal and on the plays. Those were areas that Kai had never been into before. He never had a reason to be on those areas, as he was an actor and all.
But, he was a member of the stage crew now, so he needed to know those kinds of things, hence why Dom was making sure to show him where everything was. He also told Kai some of the things he would be expect to do, like operating the lights and even sewing so he could make the costumes of the actors.
"I can teach you how to sew if you want." Dom offered to the mongoose. "I taught Kibi, and he learned quite well. Now, Legoshi can teach you how to handle the electric part. He is good with wires as much as I'm with a needle and a string."
Legoshi nodded as Dom said that. He had been with the peafowl as he showed Kai the areas the stage crew went and explained to him the types of things he would be doing with the team.
This was just appropriate, after all. For, even though Dom was the "senpai" of the stage crew, Legoshi was the one who has been on the team for the longest time. He was the true specialist over all of the things around there, and Dom knew that well.
...And he seemed awfully silent today.
Legoshi was not the chatty type, and he was not one to talk about his day or to babble about any trivial matter that came into his mind. The wolf was one of those people who preferred to act more and talk less, or to only talk when he really had something really meaningful to say. This was not bad, of course, as Legoshi was communicative enough with his fellow club members, although he was silent to the point where others considered that he was socially awkward.
Some of the herbivores even considered him creepy.
Dom didn't, however, as he had been around Legoshi for enough time to know the wolf was a good soul. He knew Legoshi pretty well.
And it was for knowing him well that he knew that there was something bothering him. Legoshi was more silent than normal. Not only that but, while he normally was the type of animal to focus on the important things, including what it came to the matters of the stage crew, he seemed awfully distracted today.
He kept looking to the sides and into the distance, as he usually did when he was deep in thoughts... or looking intently at a bug that Dom had not seen yet, but the peafowl was sure there were no bugs around.
"Legoshi-kun?" Dom said, making a pause from his mentoring of Kai. The mongoose, on his end, didn't noticed too much. He was a bit busy looking at some of the examples of the paintjobs they had to do for some of the previous plays. Apparently, Kai had always an admiration for this kind of thing... So, while he was distracted looking through the pages of their portfolio, Dom took this chance to try talking to Legoshi, to see if there was something wrong with the wolf.
"Did... did Louis told you something?" Dom asked, "You stayed in there for around a minute after Kai left. Did Louis said something to you? I know how intense he can be sometimes, especially with carnivores. If he said anything that made you upset..."
Legoshi looked at the peafowl, and he shook his head.
"It's alright." Legoshi said to the peafowl. "I'm just distracted today. I have a... a compromise for after club, and I'm thinking about it. But, it is nothing serious."
Dom looked at Legoshi for a few moments, and he then nodded at the wolf, accepting his answer, but telling him that he could always come to him if he was having problems. Legoshi thanked his worry, and their attention was diverged from the subject when Kai asked Dom some questions about some of the artworks that they used on a play that he himself took part in once. More precisely, he was asking about some artworks that they were thinking of using but later decided against it.
"Man, you should have used this one!" Kai said, as he pointed of a photo that depicted a painting of a tree filled with blossoming flowers of all colors of the rainbow. "This is gorgeous!"
Dom talked to Kai about it, and said that, while they considered using that type of art for that play, they ended up choosing to use only the pink trees of the cherry blossoms, to keep the spring theme of that play. To what Kai said that it was a real waste of a beautiful art.
"I think all of those colors would have been way better than all that pink stuff." Kai said to the peafowl. They continued to look through the pictures and talk about how some arts were use and others that were not, and how it was hard to make some of those. Kai seemed to have an eye for art. To Dom, it meant they had something to work with...
This took most of their day at club, as stage crews had way more responsibilities than Kai ever assumed. When they finished going through most of it, the day was practically coming to an end. Everyone on the club had finished their business, including the actors who finished rehearsing their lines for the play, which was still coming, in spite of the sad death of one of their members.
"The show must go on, right?" Said Fudge, a red panda who was also part of the stage crew, and who had been watching how everyone put on their efforts to make good on the upcoming play. "Zoe still can't memorize his lines, though."
"What is Louis even thinking?" Kai said, as he looked down at the goat, practically boring holes into him with his glare. "That guy can't memorize a line to save his life. And he has about as much stage presence as a pickle. I was obviously the better choice!"
"You sure about that?" Fudge asked him, "After that little performance you put on last spring?"
"Okay, I think this is enough for today." Dom said, looking at his friends. "What about we all finish this up and then head back to our dorms?"
"Yeah..." Legoshi said, as the other ones also agreed. "Head back... to the dorms..." The wolf was distracted as he said that, as he was too busy looking at Louis' direction.
The red deer stopped to talk with Zoe, and then he looked up. Legoshi flinched as those eyes locked with his'. Those expressive eyes that were nearly glaring at Legoshi, as if they were saying: Don't you dare stand me up, or you will regret it.
Louis could be pretty intimidating sometimes, especially when he glared at others like that.
"Well, I gotta go now." The wolf said to the others. He gave some excuse about "the thing he had to do with his roommates" and then left in a hurry. So much that the other stage crew members got a few raised eyebrows at him.
"Wow... that wolf ran as if his tail was on fire!" Fudge said, and Dom soon was urging everyone to continue what they were doing so they could close the room and leave.
The stage crew were the hardest workers on the Drama Club. They were the first ones to arrive after classes, so they could open up their club space and clean it up for the others, and they were, on the end of the day, the last ones to leave, as they put all the equipment back on storage, turned off the lights and closed the door on their way out.
It was a hard job, but all of them did their best. And now so would Kai, now that he was one of them.
"And you better not slack while doing your work." Fudge warned Kai. "Dom might be a nice guy most of the time, but he will certainly be all the way up your leg if you try and slack."
"Oh, now that's an exaggeration." Dom said, "I just want to make sure everyone does their part."
"Yeah, you always makes sure." Fudge said to him with a friendly smile. "You might as well start pecking our ears with how much you nag."
Now, this might seem like some jab, but Dom already knew Fudge enough to know that he didn't meant harm. Still, Kibi would quickly step in to tell Fudge to be more considerate and respectful with Dom, because he was both the leader of the stage crew and their senpai. Dom was just about to tell Kibi it was okay, but he got distracted by a sudden notification on his phone.
Reaching out to it, Dom was soon checking on the notification he just received, and he realized it was from his social profile online.
It was a notification of someone on BeastBook sending him a link.
Hey, ain't that you!? Said the message of his friend on the link. With a raised eyebrow, he clicked on the link, which redirected him to a post on someone else's page.
It was a video. Dom clicked on the video to see what it was about.
Within ten seconds on the video, Dom felt his stomach drop.
"Dom-senpai just wants we all to do our best!" Kibi said, "That is why he is always reminding us to do our part for Drama Club! Ain't that right, Dom-senpai?"
There was no answer. Kibi blinked, and he looked at the bird.
"Senpai?" He asked, looking at Dom, and now so were the other ones. They saw Dom frozen, looking at his phone, his hands shaking and a sickly expression on his face as he looked at the screen.
"Dom?" Fudge asked, and Dom only continued to look at the screen. He only snapped out of it when Kai said:
"Yo! Dom! What gives?"
Dom blinked, looking at his friends. He soon was recovering.
"H-huh? O-oh! I'm fine! I am fine. I just... I just remembered that I need to... get back to my dorm. S-see you guys tomorrow."
Before any of them could ask further questions, Dom was going his way. He was going rather fast, and this left the three of them looking at the departing peafowl with surprised expressions.
"Dom-senpai?" Kibi asked, looking at the departing bird, who quickly was out of their sight as he turned a corner and rushed into it.
"What's gotten into him all of sudden?" Fudge asked. Kai was about to say something in return, when he received a notification on his phone...
This is bad. Dom thought as he continued to look on his phone, walking back to his dorm. This is bad. This is bad. This is very bad. How could this happen? Who posted this? How did they even found this video?
Dom looked into the video that he had been tag, and he was growing more and more concerned as he saw the amount of views and shares the video was getting. After all, it was a video of himself.
A video that he wished had been forgot and put to rest a long time ago.
A video that practically ruined his life in all aspects.
Are people on the school seeing this now? Dom thought as he looked at the phone.
Note for anyone reading this: you should never focus your entire attention on the phone while you were walking around. Be it on the streets or on the hallways of your school. You needed to look where you were going so you would not get involved in any accidents.
Poor Dom forgot about it, and he had already bumped into someone before he could help it.
"Hey! Watch it!" Said the person in whom Dom bumped. The peafowl, being smaller than the animal he bumped into, nearly went to the ground as he stumbled back from bumping into the bigger animal.
"Oh!" Dom said, recovering. "I'm sorry! I'm so, so sorry!"
"Look we're you're going, bird brain!" The lion said, looking down at the peafowl, as he was about to leave. However, the lion stopped and took a double take at the peafowl.
"Wait..." The lion said, looking at Dom with his red eyes. Dom himself felt small as the lion sized him up with a glare. A glare that became more and more aggressive by the second.
"You..." The lion said, looking at the peafowl, who shrunk under that gaze.
"I-I..." Dom said, as he grew more and more nervous at the glare the lion was giving him. "I... think I'll be going now." Dom said, and that was when two other animals came.
"Yo, Kali!" Said a leopard who came along, followed closely by a cheetah. "Dude, you just walked away right after we showed you the video! You okay?"
The lion, whose name, apparently, was Kali, didn't answered. He was busy looking at the peafowl. His lips curling into a snarl as he looked at the bird with growing hatred and disgust.
"Kali?" The cheetah asked, "Kali, what gives?"
That was when the leopard took a good look at Dom, and then he realized it.
"Hey! You are that peafowl!" The leopard said, pointing at Dom.
"What?"
"The peafowl from the video!" The leopard said again, "That's you, ain't it?"
Dom felt his stomach sinking so deep it might as well have gone underground.
"I-I gotta go!" Dom said, trying to move past the lion. This proved to be a big mistake.
"Don't come near me, you piece of filth!" The lion said, pushing the peafowl violently, making Dom collide with the wall hard, what made an exclamation of pain come out of his beak.
"Kali!" Said one of the other two felines, Dom didn't knew exactly which one. He didn't had time to reflect on it, as he suddenly had a hand wrapping hard around his neck.
"How dare you come near me." The lion growled at him with evident hatred. "How dare try to make contact with me. How dare you breathe the same air as me, you disgusting piece of crap."
Dom chocked. His hands went to his neck, as he vainly grabbed the hand of the lion trying to loosen it up. However, his weak feathered hands couldn't possible hope to pry the fingers of a big carnivore from his neck. And the lion was starting to squeeze even harder, what was giving Dom a hard time breathing.
"Kali! Kali! What are you doing?" Said another of the felines, but the lion ignored them. He was too busy glaring at the peafowl.
"You disgusting, sick, perverted, deviant piece of crap!" The lion nearly screamed. Dom was scared. He was more scared than ever before. He could not pry the fingers off his neck. So, he did the second thing he thought he could do at that moment. He slapped the lion right on the face.
This proved to be an even worse mistake.
Dom didn't had time to react as the lion's fist collided with his face, sending him flying across the wall and land heavily on the ground.
Dom was dizzy. Stars danced before his eyes as he tried to make sense of what was happening. That was when the lion came over to him. Dom was flipped into the ground, and he felt a hand gripping his shoulder so hard it felt like it would break, and then a fist started colliding with his body. With his face, with his other arm, with his chest and stomach. It was all over him.
Dom could do nothing but try to shield his body, as he was assault by the bigger animal, whom continue to throw insults and curses at him as he pummeled the poor bird.
He only stopped when his two friends came forth and pulled him away.
"Kali, stop it! Did you lost your mind!?"
"You can't attack an herbivore like that! You will be expelled!"
The lion continued trying to go at Dom, even though the cheetah and leopard worked together to pull him away. He continued to grip into Dom's shoulder. He gripped so hard that his claws dug into the peafowl's skin and, when he was finally pull away, the skin tore under his fingers.
The pain was sharp and it burned. Dom gasped as he felt his skin tearing. Pieces of his damaged uniform and blue feathers spilled, both stained in a red color as the blood came gushing from the newly open wound.
"Shit!" The leopard said, looking at the wound that the lion just opened with his claws. "Kali, what did you do!?"
The lion ignored the two, as he seemed like he wanted to continue pummeling the peafowl, and he was trying to lunge at him.
"You tell anyone and you're dead! Do you hear me!?" The lion screamed at the peafowl, while the other two did their best to hold him back and pull him away, urging him to come with them before a teacher came and caught them in the act.
"I'll find you and I'll kill you, you disgusting invert!" The lion screamed a final time, before his friends managed to steer him away from the fallen herbivore.
As they vanished into the hallways, they left Dom behind.
The peafowl was in shock, due to what had happened. He could feel the bruises forming under his feathers and clothes. However, that was nothing compared to the feeling of pain of the freshly open wound on his shoulder, accompanied by the warmth coming of his blood leaking out of it and soaking his shirt and the feathers underneath it.
Dom was shaking. He was shaking as he held his shoulder and curled into a ball on the ground. A strained sound came out of his throat as tears started streaming down his cheeks.
On the ground, his phone laid. Fallen in the middle of all of that confusion. The video that it had been showing still playing.
The same video that once ruined Dom's school life, and it seemed that it already started doing it once more.
The video depicted a younger Dom with another animal on a bathroom stall. They were both naked and kissing rather fervently. They broke the kiss, panting as if they had just ran a marathon.
"I love you, Jalen-senpai." Said the teenage male peafowl.
"I love you too, Dom-kun." Said back the older teenage male bull, before they bwent back to kissing, unaware someone was recording them...
