A/N: HIIIIIIIII!

Guess who's at it at another Percabeth fic!?

That's right! Yours truely! Moi!

I don't usually watch Tiktok videos, I'm more of a YouTube type of girl, ngl. But if YT doesn't have a video, then I watch it on TT, loll. This fic was inspired by a tiktok: (Please check the ao3 and wattpad versions of this story to see the tiktok link. Sadly I can not paste the link here 😢)

Anyways, ENJOY!

Sunshine.

That was one thing Annabeth had always loved.

Ever since she was a young girl, she loved going outside in the summers when the sun was at the right place in the sky. The time when the sun was halfway down the sunset, giving just enough warmth to make the weather a nice mid-70s.

Sure, Annabeth knew that there were more factors that made the temperature that beautiful mid-70s temperature, but the sun made that weather the most beautiful experience.

The warmth of the sun wasn't harsh like the 80s and 90s. It wasn't weak either, like the low 70s and 60s. No. It was perfect.

Like a blanket that preserved your body heat but at the same time let a bit of cold air in, making the temperature balanced and perfect.

That was what Annabeth thought of Percy as she spent her time stalking him. Balanced.

Was he perfect? Nooooooo. He was far from that.

But he was balanced. Despite losing his mom, he still remained true to himself. Instead of losing himself to the loss, he started growing from it.

He was balanced and cool with his composure. He never let himself get too ticked off. (Except for Mr. D. Percy got irritated at him a lot, but he's an exception.)

But he was more than that. He was more than just balanced.

He... he had this kind of vibe around him that just wanted you to smile. At least when he was around Annabeth, he made her want to smile.

His smile was just so intoxicating. It was big and goofy and adorable. Unlike Luke whose smile just looked plain hot, Percy's smile was sweet and purely childish. And Annabeth loved it.

And his hair... His hair was a beautiful golden color. It was the sunlight personified. (No offense Apollo, but Percy is wayyy more cuter than you) And his hair was curly. Not like Annabeth's curls- no. His curls were more tamed, more... curly? Eh, whatever. The point was that no matter what direction you looked at his hair it seemed that it changed into a more golden color.

His hair was gorgeous. Now Luke had curls as well. Dark curls that cutely framed his face, but Percy... his curls were different. Why did she like Percy's curls more than Luke? Annabeth had no clue.

Maybe she was a bit jealous at how his hair could be left loose and unkempt but still make him look cute.

Don't get her wrong, Annabeth loved her hair. It was unique and special. It was a part of who she was. But she would be lying if she said that she didn't feel jealous at times.

Anyways, back to Percy.

Annabeth was sure that he wasn't a son of Apollo. Sure he gave that kind of a Apollo-vibe, but due to her stalking spying observant observations, she had a theory and she was going to prove it.

"Feel like a winning kind of day to you?" she asked Luke. The dark-haired teen nodded, before smiling at her. "I'll see you on the other side," he said to her. To the crowd he ordered, "Company! Move out!"

Oblivious Percy started following the crowd.

"Not you, Sunshine," Annabeth said to him. She internally froze. What?! Why in the world did she call him that!?

But then Percy turned to look at her. Annabeth would be lying if she said that her heart didn't flutter at that.

She turned the other way, walking in the opposite direction. "You're with me,"

As she walked towards the woods, she felt the warm rays of sunlight lightly caress her face. Behind her, she heard Percy stumble trying to catch up with her. Sunshine. It fit him actually pretty well.

He gave off that mid-70s temperature vibe. That vibe that just wanted to make her smile. Just like the sunshine always did.

Yeah... unless she could think up another nickname, Sunshine was the perfect one for him.

A/N: Welp. This is it!

Instead of working on my gift fic for my besties, I wrote this... LOL!

So, tbh, I am not African... so I dunno if I wrote Annabeth right... please do not take offense to the way I wrote her. I was just projecting my experience onto her.

As a girl who used to have short straight hair, after puberty hit and I started growing my hair out, my once-straight hair was now a huge mass of black curls.

I had some struggles at the beginning learning to accept my hair texture. I used to feel jealous of the other girls because I couldn't keep my hair down without it getting all messy within 10 minutes. It took me time and a lot of acceptance (for myself) to finally come at ease with my hair. Nowadays, I've gotten used to my hair and know all the tips and tricks to make my curls look neater and straighter without using any hair products. (my hair is a virgin hair, loll)

So for all of y'all who are experiencing changes in your appearance, my advice is to learn to love yourself. Learn to be patient with yourself. Teenage years shouldn't be the hardest years of your life. They should be the years where you as an individual learn to blossom and grow into the fine young person that you are meant to be. Surround yourself with loving friends and family. Quit trying to fit in.

Remember, those who marked history didn't do it by following the trend of their day. They marked history by making their own trend.

Anyways, enough of the speech. I hope you enjoyed this fic! Feel free to comment but please use CLEAN and APPROPRIATE language! Remember that God loves you, I love you, and JESUS IS LORD!

Bye, y'all! Have a good day/night! ;3
