Thick white snow covered the ground of Hage Village as Asta approached his house. This winter had been especially intense with blanket snowstorms one after another. However, it did make the village picturesque just in time for the holiday season. Thankfully, Asta had made sure the small village had enough supplies to last the winter, including the famed Pot-Potatoes.

He rubbed his head with a gloved hand as he trudged to the fence that marked his yard among the field of snow.

"...Hm?" Asta raised an eyebrow as he saw one of the curtains of the front window flutter. He then cracked a smile as the door flew open and he saw a familiar woman run outside.

"Asta, I've been waiting for you!" Sister Lily cried as she ran towards her husband's arms.

The man in question set his rucksack down and embraced his wife as she glomped him. She was out of her usual habit clothes, instead dressed in a baggy sweater and cotton pants. Asta wouldn't complain though, she smelt like a fresh spring pond. "It's good to see you too…" he murmured into her hair.

Lily pecked him on the cheek and looked up at the gray sky, more snow had started to fall creating white spots in her hair as they landed on her head. Asta, on the other hand, didn't fear snow in his hair thanks to his ash-gray locks.

"...This is unusual," she said after a couple of moments of staring sky and then burying her head in Asta's chest. "It rarely snows this far south on the continent."

"I know. I don't think I've ever had a white Christmas before!"

His wife chuckled against him. "The kids at the church must be so excited."

Asta frowned when he heard the word church. Lily was a nun, he was sure of that. His mind had even called her 'Sister' Lily when he first saw her. Don't nuns have some sort of vow? What was it again? He couldn't remember, his brain was too fuzzy. Maybe it was the snow.

Lily felt Asta tense and separated herself from him and gazed up at his face, her blue eyes meeting his green ones. Wrinkles appeared across her delicate features as they twisted with worry. "Something wrong dear?"

"It's nothing," he replied putting a trademark smile on his face.

A smile came back to her face as she tugged him by the arm toward the still-open door. "Let's go inside then before all the heat escapes. Besides, I made your favorite dinner since it's Christmas Eve."

"Oh boy, Pot-Potato Pie!"

"You know it!"

Asta willingly allowed himself to be dragged into the house. He spied the tree he had cut weeks earlier adorned with ornaments featuring intricate designs of each of the Magic Knight squads. For some reason, the ornament of the Coral Peacocks was slightly bigger than the others. Not something he would notice normally, but today it inexplicably stood out, like telling when Captain Yami had put his t-shirt on inside out accidentally.

"C'mon honey~Focus!" Lily said with a pout as she sat him at the table in front of a steaming plate of food. "I want tonight to be just about us. Maybe if we're lucky…We'll have another member of the house to celebrate Christmas with."

Asta blinked and then blushed at the downright seductive voice his wife had put on and the way she batted her eyes. He had never seen her act like this before. He didn't think she ever talked like that at all.

"...!"

A sudden jolt of electricity went across his brain. A noise of curiosity came from Lily's throat, but Asta replied with one of his own to indicate he was okay. To distract both himself and Lily, he started shoveling down his food, burning his tongue in the process. His wife gave a light chuckle as she rested her head on her fist.

"How was your day dear?"

Asta swallowed his mouthful and replied. "It was pretty good!"

"What did you do?"

"A joint training between the Bulls, Peacocks, and Dawn."

"Did you enjoy yourself?"

"Of course," Asta said happily. His face then lost a bit of its light. "It was a little weird considering William isn't a captain, but at least he's still there…"

"What do you mean?" Lily asked curiously, tilting her head.

"Kirsch is the captain of the Peacocks now. I have nothing against the guy, but it isn't the same without Dorothy, you know?" The former captain of the Coral Peacocks had taken up as the new queen of the witches following the battle against Lucious. It was for the best, but Asta still hated that it had to happen.

"Believe me…I know…" Lily said somberly. For a split second, he could have sworn her voice was higher than what he would normally qualify as 'Lily'.

Asta decided not to acknowledge it, opting to eat the rest of the meal in silence.

Once he was done, Lily took his plate and then ushered him upstairs and had him wait in the bedroom. He took stock of their shared bedroom. It was oddly shiny in spots like a layer of…glamor.

Asta's eyes widened in realization, but the sound of the door opening interrupted him before he could voice his suspicions. His brain stopped functioning when looked at the door.

Lily stepped in wearing nothing but racy red lingerie with white frills. An equally white garter belt around her slim but fit waist held up a pair of stockings. The finishing touch was a bright red gift bow serving as a hair clip.

His wife giggled behind her hand and leaned forward exposing Asta's eyes to the valley of her cleavage unobstructed. "It seems like you can't wait to open your gift."

Asta didn't realize his jaw was open until Lily closed it with a gentle touch. She then caught him by surprise with a kiss on his lips. He was powerless as she pushed him back on the mattress. In a split second she was now straddling his waist. Lily ended the kiss leaving them both gasping and pushed up off his chest.

"Now let's get to the unwrapping, shall we?" she said with half-lidded eyes as she reached around for her bra clasp.

It took every ounce of willpower he had, but Asta summoned the strength to grab her arms. He quickly flipped their positions to where he was on top holding her down.

He arched his head up as if the roof was see through and he could see the sky directly.

"Dorothy, come out! I know I'm in the glamor world."

A shudder passed through the house. Beneath him, Lily squirmed in place with a mock pout on her face.

"You know it's rude to be thinking of other girls while we're doing something so intimate, right?"

Asta closed his eyes and his hands started to tremble. "I'm sorry, I am…but you're not real." He let go of the fake Lily and got off the bed. Asta willed his grimoire into his hands and pulled out the Demon Slasher Katana. "Please, Dorothy; don't make me do this." he said, holding the blade above his head. Behind him Lily had gone silent.

For a tense second, Asta was afraid he would have to slash his way out. However, the world suddenly began to disassemble itself revealing a pink glittery void. Only the floor of the bedroom underneath his feet remained untouched. He glanced back at Lily and saw her face painted with a goofy expression more fitting for a comic than a person. She then floated up the air unmoving even a single muscle. Asta blinked as she burst into a bunch of colorful fruits and random household objects.

"When did you figure it out?" Asta turned around just in time to see Dorothy descending from above a mix of emotions he couldn't pick out on her face.

Instead of the pinks and purples of her captain days, she now wore greens and grays with black trim. She looked quite similar to her predecessor and mother now.

Asta replaced the sword back in his grimoire and scratched the back of his head as he carefully thought about his answer. "A lot of things. The big ornament and the unusual snow were clues one and two. Then Sister Lily is a nun; she'd never have sex. She took a vow of chastity after all." He finished with a wry smile and relaxed his posture a little bit.

A puff of air escaped the former captain's lips as she floated around him. "I guess Yuno was wrong. You did learn eventually."

"I'd imagine a bunch of water fists to the head would do the trick for most people." he said somewhat sheepishly as he looked down at his feet. Somehow, he was now standing on top of a large black ornament engraved with the number 3691225 in golden numbers.

"I guess you're wondering why I brought you here." Dorothy said as she floated and sat on a giant floating popcorn kernel that was part of a chain.

"Well, yeah of course."

Dorothy kicked her legs in the air and gave him a warm smile. "You've worked so hard in the war…But the upper class has hardly given you any dues. Am I right?"

Asta couldn't entirely refute her claim and he kicked his foot aimlessly. "It's getting better at least. Everyone saw me slay that demon." He then turned his gaze up at her with light in his eyes and his shoulders squared meeting her beautiful rainbow colored irises. "But the important part is that we made sure as many civilians as possible made it out okay!"

"There's my point," Dorothy said with absolute certainty. "You're always so noble and hard-working. I thought it would be a good idea to surprise you with a break for the holidays. Give you a chance to live a dream you once held dear."

Asta sat down on the ornament and Dorothy floated over and plopped down next to him. "Thank you, for letting me experience my first love; even if it wasn't real in the end. Also, I'm sorry I haven't visited you since we stopped Lucius."

The witch swatted his shoulder. "Don't worry about that, silly. That's part of why I pulled you into my Dream Magic." Dorothy waved her hand over the surroundings. "Becoming the witch queen definitely has its benefits. It's more than just a title. My magic has increased tenfold. As long as I can see you through the mirror in the castle, I can pull you in and create a flawless world based on the target's wishes and memories."

"That's pretty incredible," Asta exclaimed. "Honestly if it wasn't for the fact Sister Lily was a nun, I would have pieced it together."

"Forgive me for only having secondhand knowledge of the woman of your dreams."

"Woman of my dreams? Isn't that you?"

Dorothy knew he was being literal, but she couldn't help that her heart skipped a beat. Sue her, she was a romantic. It kinda came with the territory of dream magic.

Asta leaned forward and placed his hand on her head. "Are you okay? Your face is getting pretty red."

Dorothy turned her head away instinctively. She was about to either eject him from the world or float away, probably both, when an idea popped into her head.

Asta hummed in surprise when a giant mistletoe materialized above them. He then raised an eyebrow when Dorothy faced him grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Her body vibrated with barely contained mischief.

"Since I'm the girl of your dreams…How about we celebrate the tradition appropriately?"

He couldn't say no to her pleading eyes. And he was under the mistletoe after all.

She certainly appreciated how red Asta's face got to match the fierce blush on her own. Dorothy put on her best disarming smile and scooted closer. He didn't resist as she laced her arms around his neck. In turn his own slid around her lower back.

Their faces inched closer together until finally her lips met his. She tightened her grip around him and deepened the kiss. Behind her she was vaguely aware of her own personal world fluctuating with literal fireworks and carol bells in response to her emotions.

Before she knew it the kiss ended but he didn't push her away. Instead, she leaned forward and rested her head on his chest.

"Thank you, Asta." She muttered to him. "For giving me the best gift, a gal could ask for,"

"No problem. It's a holiday tradition after all."

Asta froze as the smug expression crept back on her face. "So, you just go around kissing anybody you see under a mistletoe or am I an exception?"

The man let go of her and waved his hands frantically. "N-No-No! I would never, you're special to me and I—

She shut him up with another kiss. "I'm just teasing you, silly." Dorothy hugged him close to her again and relaxed when she felt his arms. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a bed start to float into view.

"What do you say, you keep me company for the night?" She asked coyly, not allowing him to turn around and see her true intentions.

"I don't see why not?"

Oh, she was going to have fun corrupting this holy night.
