Jade: The Gorilla Club

When her father told her that his wedding would be on the next weekend, Jade felt a mixture of anger and disappointment. Of course had she never believed that her parents would get back together and if she was honest with herself they were better off without their father, but this wedding still had something final. Considering that, her mood was bad for the next days.

While the others were with Tori at the Gorilla Club for the first time, Jade and her brother went over to her father's house for dinner. Her father had asked them to come over so he could tell them about the arrangements that would be made. It was boring to say the least and her father's soon-to-be wife was just annoying.

On the next evening she was just watching a movie when Cat texted her and told her that Beck and her were helping Tori again. It was the third evening in a row that Beck and her hadn't spent together and slowly she began to worry. She knew that she hadn't been very pleasant to be around the last few days, really ever since her father had announced his wedding day to her, but Beck should still want to spend time with her. Going over to Tori's house, she was angry and didn't hide it in the least.

Andre and Robbie's hammer dancing brightened her mood a little during the week and it did as well in the Gorilla Club, but it didn't last long. After she realized that Beck was avoiding her because they had been fighting more often the last few days, she decided to finally tell him the reason for her bad mood after they had gotten back from the Gorilla Club. Beck did his best to be understanding, but Jade knew that he couldn't fully understand her situation. Beck's parents were still together and barely fought as far as she knew. Her boyfriend couldn't understand what it was like to see her family break apart and now see her father with a new woman. Despite cursing herself for it, Jade had to admit that it hurt and that only intensified when she saw her father make a vow that he had already broken before to her mom.

During the vows Jade felt her brother, who sat next to her, take her hand and squeeze it once. When their eyes met she saw the same pain and anger in his eyes. Her brother was probably the only one right now who knew how much it hurt and who felt the same way about their father's wedding.

After the ceremony Beck gently lead her over to one of the small tables, never removing his arm from around her. Jade knew that he was really trying his best to be there for her so she gave him a tired smile. A moment later her father came over to her.

"Jade."

"Father." Jade answered in the same cold tone.

"I'm glad that you came to my wedding."

"Yes, congratulation." Jade told him without any real happiness in her voice.

"Thanks. Anything else?"

"No."

That was the only time they talked to each other during the whole wedding, but Jade was more than alright with that. When her brother and his new girlfriend joined her and Beck at the table, her mood improved. It turned out that Summer was a great girl. She loved horror movies which Jade considered a good thing and she didn't seem to be someone who just let people walk all over her. Her brother had chosen well and Jade was happy for him.

After a while people began dancing and Beck lead her to the dance floor. He could probably tell that her heart wasn't it, because he asked her if she was okay after the first song. Normally she loved dancing, especially with Beck, but today she just couldn't enjoy it. Still it was thoughtful of her boyfriend to try to make her feel better again with something that she liked.

Three dances later her brother asked Beck if they could change partners for this dance. She smiled reassuringly at her boyfriend and felt no jealousy when Beck danced with Summer in the meantime. Her focus was pulled back to her brother when he spoke up.

"Tough day."

"We had worse." Jade admitted. The day their parents had told them about their divorce had been one of those.

"True." More words weren't needed between the siblings. They felt the same about this wedding and didn't want to talk more about it.

Later, when the guests had left, Jade was exhausted. Surprisingly her father was alright with Beck staying the night, so the couple now lay on her bed watching her favorite movie. Her boyfriend was holding her lovingly and she felt at peace for the first time since this day had started. Due to their fights the last few days it had become rare for them to spend time together just enjoying the silence. Jade could only hope that now, that the wedding was over, they would go back to being happy with each other again. She didn't want to end up like her parents and a few fights were normal in a relationship, so she didn't have to worry, right?

Beck: The Gorilla Club

The last few days Beck had fought a lot more with Jade than ever before and he didn't know the reason until she told him after they were back from the Gorilla Club.

"My father is marrying his secretary on Sunday."

It was only one sentence, but it explained a lot for Beck. He knew how Jade felt about the new marriage of her father, despite that she had never said it out loud. However that she had let her mood get the best of her when they spent time together, which resulted in fights, still bothered him. For now he would concentrate on being there for her. The fights would surely end as soon as the wedding was over.

"Do you want me to come with you on Sunday?"

Jade only nodded, so she wanted him to be there with her after all. He knew that it wouldn't be easy for her to see her father marry again and he could only hope that Sunday wouldn't turn out as bad as he feared it would.

The day of the wedding he came over to Mr. West's house a little earlier than the rest of the guests. Jade had told him that the wedding would take place in the backyard of her father's house and that he should come a little earlier so they could at least spent some time alone before everyone else arrived. Beck had a key for Mr. West's house from Jade and in the whole rush of last minute preparations no one saw him go upstairs to Jade's room. After he had knocked, he entered Jade's room and found his girlfriend in front of a big mirror with her black and red dress still open on the back.

"Do something useful and zip me up." She greeted him.

Beck sighed and told himself that she was just annoyed with the wedding and that her harsh tone had nothing to do with him. Stepping closer he did what she had asked him to do and then encircled his arms around her waist and lay his chin on her shoulder. Looking at her through the mirror, he smiled reassuringly at her.

"You look beautiful."

"Whatever." Despite her words they lacked the harsh tone from before and Beck saw her eyes soften. She turned around and they shared a loving kiss.

When it was time for the guests to arrive they made their way downstairs and met Jade's brother, who had a girl with him. Her brother was dressed in a tuxedo and the girl wore a dark blue, almost black, dress. The young boy smiled brightly when he saw his sister and immediately dragged the girl over to them.

"Hey Jade, this is the girl I have been telling you about."

Beck was use to being ignore by Jade's brother. When a West wanted something to be told, they always got right to the point without beating around the bush and without caring who they had to ignore for it. Jade raised her eyebrow at her brother before turning to the girl, who looked annoyed at the introduction.

"Yeah I'm that girl, but most of the time I go by the name Summer. My parents obviously meant that sarcastically because of my sunny personality."

For a girl her age she was confident and Beck had to hold back a laugh. He shouldn't be surprised that Jade's brother found a girl that was sarcastic. Jade seemed to be content with her brother's choice of girlfriend because she smirked at the girl.

"I don't totally hate you at first sight, so that's a good thing. Obviously I'm Jade, his big and mean sister. I'm sure he complained about me a lot already."

Of course Jade had to welcome the girl in true West manner, but Summer only smirked back at her, probably used to it because of Jade's brother. Beck took that moment to introduce himself.

"And I'm Beck, her boyfriend."

Only now Jade's brother turned to Beck and greeted him. After they talked for a while and Jade found out that Summer liked horror movies, she dragged her away to give her a copy of The Scissoring, leaving him alone with Jade's brother.

"Seems like I have to watch The Scissoring a million times all over again." Beck laughed at that, knowing what Jade's brother meant, but his next words surprised Beck. "Summer only agreed to becoming exclusive two weeks ago, but I just feel like there is something special about her. You know, Jade and you are my role models in the relationship department, because obviously my parents are not the best example."

"But we have been fighting a lot during the last few days, so we're hardly the perfect couple." Beck admitted with a sigh.

"I'm sure that Jade was only annoyed by the wedding and everything will go back to normal." With a little hesitation Jade's brother added. "Right?"

"I hope so." And Beck really did. He loved Jade with all his heart and he knew she did too. A couple of fights wouldn't change that, but he had to admit that it was exhausting. Hopefully after this wedding was over they could go back to the way they had always been, happy and in love.

A/N: I would like to post a continuation with all the little moments in the episodes between Jade and Beck during their break up. Let me know if you would want to read that and please review and tell me what you think :)
