Christmas Dreams Ch 9

Jack and Henry woke up at 5:00 raring to open their presents so they went room to room waking everybody up by saying over and over in unison, "Santa came, Santa came", room by room the adults slid on their shoes and made their way downstairs. Fran was all smiles as she watched everybody gather around the tree and sit down, she said, "alright, we get to see who Santa is this yearrrrrrr" as she reached into a bowl.

She said, "everybody's name is on a piece of paper and the person that I get by pulling out their name will be Santa this year and hand out the gifts", everybody nodded their heads in agreement and waited to see who's name she would draw out. She stuck her hand in the bowl and pulled out a folded piece of paper, she then said, "alright and the Santa this year issssss?", she opened the paper and said, "Penelope".

Penelope smiled and said, "okayyyy, lets get this party startedddd" as she started out by handing Jack and Henry their first gift, she next moved on to Dave, Fran, Sarah, Desi, JJ, Reid, Em, Hotch and then Derek. Derek said, "and here is one for you sweetness" as he reached under the tree and grabbed one with her name on it, she winked at him and said, "thank you Mr. Clause", he laughed and then got back to opening is gift.

It took the family over 2 hours to open all of their gifts, Henry and Jack got everything that they had asked for plus a whole lot more, Reid was over the moon with the Dr. Who stuff that everybody had gotten him but his favorite gift was the personally autographed manuscript that JJ was able to get for him.

Penelope said, "wowwwww, that's awesome, I hear those are hard to find", JJ said, "ohhhh, it was, it was, you have no idea how many hoops I had to jump through to get this, but seeing the smile on his face makes everything I went through, totally worth it". Hotch had gotten Emily a beautiful pearl necklace with a diamond separating 2 different rows of pearls, to say that she was surprised by her gift spoke volumes.

Dave had gotten Fran a beautiful diamond and ruby broach, she smiled and said, "ohhhhh I love it, I absolutely love it" as she threw her arms around her husband, Dave grinned and said, "I'm glad that you liked it Bella". Derek handed Penelope a box and said, "I hope you like it baby girl", she took the box into her hand and said, "Derek, you've already given me all of these" as she pointed to the pile of boxes beside her feet.

He said, "you're my girl and I'm allowed to get you as many gifts as I want so there" as he stuck out his tongue at her, she laughed and opened the box, she gasped and said, "Derek, it's beautiful". Inside the box was a beautiful diamond tennis bracelet. He took it out of the box and slid it onto her wrist, he then brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it, she said, "thank you so much but this is to expensive handsome, I can't take this".

Derek said, "ohhhh but yes you can and you're gonna, do you realize how long I've been looking for that bracelet and then Sarah and Desi found it for me so yep you are gonna take it gorgeous". She smiled and said, "thank you, I love it", she then kissed his lips gently and said, "and I love you", he wrapped his arms around her and said, "not as much as I love you" as he pulled her down to sit on his lap.

Penelope said, "that's all of the gifts except for this one" as she held up Derek's surprise box, Fran said, "who's box is that Penelope?", Penelope said, "this box belongs tooooooooooo" and she started acting like she didn't see a name tag. She said,"ohhhh wait, here it is, this gift belongs to Derek", she then placed the gift into his lap and stood there in front of him waiting for him to open the gift, she couldn't wait to see the look on his face when he realized she was pregnant.

Fran watched her son as he took off the top of the box, he said, "it has 2 smaller boxes inside, does it matter which one I open first?", she said, "open the smaller one first", he nodded his head yes as he started opening the smaller box. When he opened it he said, "wait, what's this?", she said, "you tell me handsome, what is that?", he said, "it's a spoon", she said, "you would be correct, now open the other box".

Derek opened the other box and pulled out the sheet of paper, his mouth flew open, he then looked up at Penelope and said, "really?", she smiled and nodded her head yes, he said, "reallyyyyyyy?", she laughed and said, "yes really". Reid said, "would you like to let the rest of us in on what the gift is?", Derek stood up and pulled his baby girl into his arms and said, "we're pregnant, Penelope's gonna have a baby".

The air was filled with the shouts of congratulations as the women all pulled Penelope into a group hug while the men did the same thing to Derek, then they switched to where the women were all hugging Derek and the men were all hugging Penelope. When the hugging was done Derek dropped down to his knees in front of Penelope and said, "hello in thereeeeeee, I'm your daddy and I love you soooo much already".

He then looked up at Penelope and said, "thank you", she said, "forrrrr?",, he said, "for making this the best Christmas ever", he then stood up and picked her up and started twirling her around. Fran, JJ and Emily started screaming for him to put her down, Sarah said, "don't make her sick, I'm sure the morning sickness is bad enough little brother".

He put he down on the floor and said, "I'm so sorry, I didn't even think, are you alright?", she kissed his lips gently and said, "I'm better than okay", he said, "I love you baby girl" as his hand slid down to her stomach. Her hand slid on top of his and said, "and I love you handsome, and I love you".
