AN: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I know I'm posting this on Christmas Eve for early readers, but I did this because the actual day people may be busy. This is something I wanted to post last Christmas, but I didn't finish until earlier this month. I'm working on another Christmas chapter, but again I haven't finished it yet. If I finish it, I might save it for next Christmas or post it when I finish it, I'm not sure yet. This chapter is basically Roxie meeting the Loud Family for the first time.

[Royal Woods, Michigan]
It was December 24th in Royal Woods, and the city was covered in a blanket of snow. One house in the city was bustling with activity, but not because of the holidays. The home of the Loud Family was more chaotic than normal because of one reason, not only were Lincoln and Lynn coming home for Christmas, but the Virbank City Gym Leader was joining them. This was going to be the family's first time meeting the young gym leader. She couldn't attend Thanksgiving the month before, due to a meeting she needed to attend. So with her coming for Christmas, the entire family was excited. Everyone was doing everything they could to make this Christmas as perfect as possible. Rita, Lori, Luna, and Luan were making sure everything was clean and all the decorations were up. Lynn Sr. was making sure all the food was ready, for not only tonight's dinner, but also for tomorrow's dinner. Leni was adding the final touches for the gifts for Lincoln, Lynn, and Roxie. Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lily were off somewhere in the house doing their own thing, while Lisa was in the basement with the machine to bring the trio to the house. Lori wanted to spend Christmas with her boyfriend Bobby, but wasn't going to miss the chance to meet Lincoln's girlfriend. The young couple thought about having the Casagrande's/Santiago's family join them, but turned it down since this is a special Christmas. All the Loud sisters wanted to meet her and were slightly jealous that Lynn already met her.
As everyone was running around, when the basement door opened. Lisa came out first, followed by Lynn, with Lincoln and Roxie coming up last. While Lincoln and Lynn were wearing the same outfit as they left in. Roxie's hair was in its signature ponytail, she was wearing a magenta leather jacket, sky blue T-shirt, jean shorts, and her long black boots with teal platforms. After a moment of coming out of the basement, the trio of trainers were swarmed by the Loud Family. While Lynn and Lincoln were able to handle this, Roxie was overwhelmed by this. In a matter of seconds, they were the center of attention of the entire Loud Clan. Every female in the house appeared out of nowhere and instantly surrounded them speaking all at one.
"Alright girls that's enough" Rita shouted, grabbing everyone's attention. "I know you want to talk with your siblings and our guest, but don't crowd them."
All the girls groaned but did what their mother told them. The kids then broke into 3 small groups and the talking continued. Lana and Lucy were talking to Lynn about her journey so far. Lisa and Lily were talking with Lincoln, Lisa was asking about her devices while Lily was just happy to be held by her brother. Lori, Leni, Luna, and Luan were talking to Roxie about a variety of things. Lori was trying to get info about her's and Lincoln's relationship. Leni was discussing her outfit. Luna was asking about her band. Luan was asking more normal questions while throwing in a pun every now and then. Rita meanwhile watched them talk in their little groups, happy to have her whole family back home.
The talks continue for a few minutes before Lynn Sr. tells them dinner is ready. Everyone made their way to the dining room, with Roxie taking a spot beside Lincoln. As they started eating, casual conversations filled the air. "So Roxie, can you tell us about yourself" the matriarch of the family asked.
"Well there's not much to tell" Roxie started saying, eating her meal. "I'm the Gym Leader of Virbank City for the seasonal Gym Challenge. I'm in a band called Koffing and the Toxics. I found a way to balance my duties of being a gym leader and my passion for music. I actually got my first Koffing when my band was in Kanto for a show. I actually just became the gym leader of Virbank City not too long before meeting Lincoln. I'm currently the youngest gym leader in Unova."
"That's very impressive, your parents must be proud of you" the patriarch commented. All the Loud girls were quietly eating, listening to the young gym leader.
"Yeah my old man was" she said with a conflicted look on her face. "My mother isn't around" this got all eyes on her. "As far back as I can remember, it's just been me and the old man. I don't know if she died or just abandoned us, but the old man doesn't like to talk about it."
This brought down the mood of the room, with Lincoln grabbing and holding Roxie's hand. "So what does your dad do?" Luna asked, hoping the change of subject will lighten the mood.
"He's a sailor" she replied, her expression becoming one of slight annoyance. "Technically he's a captain since he has his own boat. He does odd jobs, from shipping goods to transporting people from Virbank to other places. There was this one time he wanted to give all that up to pursue a career of being a pokestudio star." She saw the confused expression around the table and knew she needed to explain. "A pokestudio star is basically a movie actor with Pokemon. People use Pokemon with them in movies."
"That sounds awesome! Was he in anything?" Lana asked in excitement.
"Yeah and it was horrible," the white hair rocker replied with a scoff. "The people really disliked it, but he didn't notice. He was proud of it, but he realized his place was on the sea with his ship. So he returned to being a sailor."
"It must have been tough growing up," Rita started. "I'm assuming he was on the sea so much, you didn't see him as much as you wanted?"
"Yeah it was" she replied slightly sadden, before cheering up. "But I had the people around me to take care of me and I got used to him not being around that much. He always brought me something back from where he went, so it wasn't all bad. He was always supportive of me and did whatever he could to help." The Loud parents smiled at hearing this, but inside were sadden hearing how this girl grew up. The girls started to ask Roxie different question, which she happily answered, and cheerful conversation filled the room. Once everyone finished eating, all the Loud children went to do their own things before going to sleep.
"Roxie, can we speak with you for a second?" Lynn Sr. asked, stopping the girl from joining her boyfriend. Beside him was his wife, both had pleasant smiles on their faces.
"Sure, what's up?" She replied, slightly taken aback by this.
"We just wanted to thank you for helping Lincoln when he was in the other world" Rita said gratefully, tears started to build in her eyes. "When we found out what he had done to survive, we didn't know how to handle it." The Loud mother started to cry a bit, Lynn Sr. started to comfort her before continuing for her. "We never wanted any of our children to go through anything like that. However, hearing that you were helping him out, we can't thank you enough."
"You don't need to thank me" Roxie told the parents, happy to see how they care for him. "When I first met him, I thought he was one of my fans because of his white hair," she told them with a chuckle. "But hearing his story, I felt I needed to help him. At first I didn't believe he was from another world, but it wasn't out of the realm of possibility. I mean there are rumors of Pokemon who can control time, space, realms, and whole dimensions." Both parents became mildly nervous at hearing that. "However after talking and getting to know him, I came to believe everything he told me. I'm really glad to have met him and grateful you let him come back to my world. If anything I should be thanking you for letting me still see your son."
Roxie then found herself being hugged by both of her boyfriend's parents. "We're really happy Lincoln found someone like you to be in his life" Lynn Sr. told her. "As long as you're with Lincoln, you can think of all of us as your family as well," Rita added on. Roxie returned the hug and thanked them. After breakin the hug, Roxie went to find her boyfriend while the parents smiled at the girl.
The parents spent the rest of the night getting everything ready for the big day tomorrow. The kids played games, watched tv, or talked until it was time to go to bed. With Lincoln and Lynn Jr. showing Roxie the family's trophy cases that held all the children's achievements, which now included Lincoln's previous gym badges. Soon it came time to sleep and everyone was in their rooms. Roxie got to choose who's room she wanted to stay in, except for Lincoln's. They may be dating and had sexual relations in the past, but the Loud parents weren't going to let them stay in the same room for the obvious reasons. She chose to bunk with Luna and Luan. She and Luna got along well and seemed the most chill out of all the sisters, and she could handle Luan constant bad puns. As Roxie rested her head down to sleep, she couldn't help but smile. Every single member of Lincoln's family made her feel welcomed and like she was part of this big family. Before falling asleep, she wished that she'll experience more of this in the future.
AN: I'm not writing about Christmas Day for one reason, I'm too lazy. I didn't have anything for the day, just something building up to the 25th. This was just a bit of background for Roxie. I could've made more of a reaction with the Loud Sisters, but this chapter took me long enough as it is. Plus I don't care that much for holiday theme episodes or chapters. The other Christmas chapter I'm working on will focus on Christmas Day, now I just have to finish yet.
