Authors Note: I do not own Cyberpunk 2077, just an avid game fan.

Rated M for MATURE.

I debated on giving you guys another lemon on this one...but if you are reading my fanfic you're probably a bisexual or heh a lesbian like me. So I just skimmed it, sorry not sorry! Oh also! I don't know if it's noticeable, but I've let my beta writers give up on me hah! Hopefully, it's still a good story.

As the concert raged into full force everything became full of color, "We'll never fade away!" I screamed.

Scanning the crowd with the pistol aimed and firing at a suit hidden within. The crowd roared even louder as I took my leave behind Kerry Eruodyine.

"Johnny?! what the fuck homes?! Out of line, way out of line!" He turned around, arms crossed blocking the doors.

"What's next?! Where you gonna take it? Gonna drag a Corporat onto stage, make 'em kneel, douse him in gas then lite 'em up?!" He raged, throwing his hands onto me with a shove.

"It's not YOUR band, your no solo act!" He pointed into me.

"But I'm the only one with a vision!" I pointed into his chest, easily shoving him aside as I opened the door holding onto it, "So unless you got a better one, Go. Fuck. Your. Self."

I slammed it shut tossing my guitar onto the counter of my vanity, I snatched my pills pouring a random amount down my throat. I swallowed, throwing the medication bottle across the room spreading my hands across the counter.

"Fuck!" I groaned looking into the mirror at myself. Alt slid her hand across my shoulders searching for my gaze with concern.

"Is it the concert or Kerry?" She questioned softly as I looked into her.

"Said you weren't comin' tonight... Not if I can help it." I smirked devilishly looking at her tight body up and down in ripped blue jeans and white crop top.

She slyly smiled into me, meeting my eyes with a smoldering lust, "Changed my mind lover."

She took off my aviators, "Look at you…all hot and bothered…" she bit the side of her lip slowly as her eyes flicked over me up and down.

I could feel myself twitch as I leaned my back against the counter. She trailed her hand down my chest and stomach.

A passionate aggressive sex followed on said counter leading to the couch, as I smoked afterwards her legs twitched as she pulled them within herself, she reached her hand out for me.

I held it as I blew out smoke, she whispered huskily "Goodness gracious me…" staring into me with hooded eyes.

"Mhmm" I agreed, squeezing her hand I looked down at her legs sprawled across my lap.

"A damn shame that's that." She wistfully announced, still looking into me deeply.

I raised my eyebrows, "What, smoking after sex not zen enough for you? We gotta rewrite the art of war too?"

She shook her head slowly but announced firmly, "We're done Johnny, with it all. Just…couldn't ghost without saying…something."

I rolled my eyes, "You don't gotta ghost I'll always—"

"Gladly fuck you when there's no one else around who wants to?" She interrupted narrowing her eyes.

"Guess you got fucky lucky today" I dropped her hand shrugging flippantly.

She pulled her legs from my lap tucking them underneath her side as she leaned into me, "You can be such a bastard sometimes, Johnny." She scorned.

Damn your on my ass today.

"Things were swimmin'… what change your mind? Eats at my gut. 'Cause you knew what you were signing up for!" I snapped, unable to back down.

She raised her eyebrows in surprise, "Look, if you were just another charismatic, narcissistic douchecanoe running after his dream with his head up his ass. I couldn't care less."

"But?" I squinted at her to get to the fuckin' point.

She climbed onto her knees "It's all a lie, that concert, Samurai, all of it. Ginormous fiction." She shrugged her long blonde head to her shoulder.

She leaned into my face on her hands, "Your not a rocker boy, Johnny. Face it. Ought to join the wired wackos on the corners, frothing at the mouth as they scream death to Arasaka!" She whispered with a snarl.

I gripped her pretty little jaw as I shoved her back into the couch, "I see, think you've seen through me, do ya?!"

She slowly climbed off the couch stating as she angrily grabbed her clothes, "You know exactly what I mean, look at you- faking it even to yourself."

She stepped over my legs to grab more articles of clothing that was thrown, "Huh, probably what your best at- faking it."

I rose forcefully grabbing the stronger medication on the table, "Think we're done for the day, so you can fuck off!"

Alt fully clothed behind me snarked, "See I thought-"

I threw the glass bottle to the floor as I gripped her hair behind her head pulling her head back, "That this meant something? That were close? So close you can give me shit about everything I do?!" I yelled as she grimaced.

She shoved my chest with hurt on her face as she stormed out the door. I called, "Got quite the imagination then!"

Fuck am I doing?!

I ran after her into the alley grabbing her arm to compel her to face me, "Where are you goin'?"

She shoved me again and grabbed her again, she turned to me with venom and I let go holding up my hands backing away. She took a puff of a cigarette as she crossed her arms stating tightly, "Got somewhere to be."

I tried to search for the right words as I leaned against a nearby wall, "Alt…"

"Save it, I dunno for who…" she looked between me and the distance.

"Playin again tomorrow. You could come." I stated dumbly with deep hope that maybe she will come this time, truely.

"Uh-huh" she looked away at the group of thuggish fans approaching before turning to me nervously, "Let's get outta here."

I gripped her arm tightly, protectively.

"Join usss for a drop- ssshilverr rocker?" The drunk thug questioned.

"Fuck off!" I yelled as he threw the bottle behind him leaning towards his four buddies each holding iron.

"Hoo-ohh, short fuse on this one! Huh?" He stood aggressively.

I pulled out my pistol faster than Alt could cry "No!" And take off in a run.

I blew two of their heads off until I realized the other two were holding Alt, I ran to her blasting their brains across the bricks.

Hot metal tore into my guts as I watched the blades slide in and out with a spurt of blood I fell to the ground in a haze as Alt screamed "Johnny!"

I looked up into the edgerunner with mantis blades extending from his forearms, I blinked and he turned around as Alt screamed "Nooo!"

I army crawled with my crimson blood and guts seeping a trail behind be as Alt ordered, "Fuck off! Lemme alone!"

I breathed heavily trying to lift myself up on a nearby pole, I could see Alt being dragged to the back of a van, she screamed for me, "Johnny!"

The world spun in and out of focus as they closed the doors on her as I fell fainting.

I opened my eyes to asphalt and a white short haired cat. When I wearily closed them it meowed innocently.

"Really did you didn't they?" A voice stated.

I woke up to the bright lights of an operating table, I lulled my head sideways as vision came into focus.

"Mmrgh" I hurled what was left of my stomach and closed my eyes.

"Come on, rise and shine" a different voice called as I opened my eyes. It was a ripperdoc I knew too well, "Been awhile Johnny boy, how long'd you say? Two weeks since I last cobbled you up?" He asked.

I ignored him touching my bandaged stomach, "Where's Alt?" I questioned with a groan.

"Where's who?"

I sat up slowly, "Woman who was with me."

The doc backed away revealing a man sitting in his desk chair with arms crossed and legs extended, "He brought you and you alone."

I shook my head slowly trying to come to terms, "Fuck they grabbed her, nobody saw it?"

Doc nervously rubbed his neck, "Ask your savior. Said his name was Thompson."

"That you back there?" I asked, pulling each leg to the side of the bed as I shifted.

"We gotta talk." Thompson stated leaning forward.

"Alll right, it's spit 'n glue, but she's holding tight. Get some rest, even a few hours, let the stitches set." Doc rambled grabbing his stuff.

"Uh-huh." I turned back to Thompson.

"Johnny…" doc called by the door before shaking his head waving his hand down, "Augh, fuck it, you won't listen anyways." And he left the room to me and Thompson.

"How much you see?" I questioned.

Thompson leaned against his knees, "Not much more than you. They wanted her. You…you was just home." He stated carefully.

"And you…just stood there. Dick in hand, gawking and dreamin' of tomorrow." I pointed at him.

He stood crossing his arms, "Woulda shredded us both if I jumped in. You see that guys reflexes? 'Course not- he was that fast." Thompson waved his hand defensively.

He stepped towards me, "Tech like that you don't find in a dumpster."

I nodded my head accepting what he was stating, "So…what're you after? Chasin down a story? Fresh for the screamsheets? That why you scrape me off the pavement?"

"Nah, had my story, but then some cats tossed her into a van and sped off. You uh, aim to do somethin' about it? She was your output after all." He paced lightly.

"Alts kidnapping- its collateral shit. They swiped her to get at me." I narrowed my eyes at him.

He waved towards me as he scoffed, "You even know what she does for a living? Girls one of the best 'runners around."

"So? One of how many? No. Only link to Arasaka is that Johnny Silverhand's bonin' her." I ground out remaining unconvinced.

"She's been workin ITS lately, wrote some real smooth black ICE for them. Not to be duped in either since of the term." He continued as I climbed off the table to immediately fall to the floor.

He held out his hand for me and I took it to my feet, "Arasaka wants her, abduction was a standard intercorp action, nothing more."

I grabbed a nearby bottle of booze on docs desk drinking it, "Ok. So what do they want from her?"

"Soulkiller, an AI- sound familar?" He stated plainly.

"'Course, Urban legend with the shittiest name ever." I rolled my eyes.

"It's no legend, soulkillers real. And your choombas at Arasaka just hired the 'runner who wrote it." He shook his head putting his hand on his hip, "Take that in, 'Saka with soulkiller to do as it pleases, grim my man. Can you even imagine that, rocker? Arasaka'll be unstoppable-"

"Cool, tell me the rest on the way. Oldest tritest tale in the book, Arasaka's out to provoke me, and it worked." I interrupted walking towards the door, "So what'll it be? Comin' with?"

"Where to?" He walked towards me wearily with arms crossed again.

"Arasaka tower, to grab Alt right back." I stated plainly.

Thompson pointed between us, "Jus' you 'n me? You outta your fuckin' mind?"

I nodded, "Swing by the Atlantas on the way, got some chooms there."

But by the time we blasted through 'Saka tower Alt lay in a netrunning chair.

"I'd advise you not to disturb her." The suit stated as I cocked my gun pointing it at him.

"What'd you do to alt?!" I yelled.

The suit smirked, "I put her to work on a project of a lifetime!"

I pulled the trigger as his head exploded into a red mist body dropping to the floor in a thud, "Get outta my way."

I reached towards Alt grasping the back of her neck, she didn't move, I brushed my hand through her long blonde hair, "Alt? Alt come on don't do this to me."

"Is she..?" Rouge questioned hesitantly.

"Fuck!" I exclaimed slamming my palm into the seat behind her.

"Johnny…she's dead." Rouge gently held onto me from behind.

My head lulled as I stared at the empty blue the coding coming back once more as a reddigitized figure paced manically.

"Well? Spit it out 'fore you burst!" Johnny scoff reverberated through the net.

I quickly stood from the weightless ground feeling like I was hovering upwards as I faced Johnny's scrunched face in front of me, "Never even told me half that about Alt."

"Really, any examples?" He waved his hand towards me.

I shrugged with frustration creeping in, "I dunno— that you were a couple, that she wrote soulkiller, that she's dead?" But Johnny only looked away with each example I provided before turning away.

"How the hell's she supposed to help us now? As a ghost?" I called after him but he looked back at me over his shoulder.

"She's not dead. Managed to escape." Johnny turned and walked away.

I drifted after him, "I saw the body!"

Johnny halted not turning towards me, "Alt fled. Into the Net." He glitched to the nearby balcony.

"Your pushin bullshit. Heard more than my share of tales 'bout 'runners who ran off to Never- Never- Netland." I scoffed disbelieving as I crossed my arms, "Just never thought you'd be the next to tell me one."

"Don't need you to believe me, long as you do exactly what I say."

No snarky attitude? This isn't like him.

"When'd you find out?" I raised my eyebrows curiously.

"Just a moment ago, when she made contact."

I circled him scrunching my eyebrows, "And? What'd she say?"

"That she was captive in the Arasaka subnet, but they couldn't hurt her." He finally turned his head to me, "And she told me not to come lookin' for her."

"So what do we do?" I dropped my arms to my sides, lost.

"Get my hands on two thermonuclear charges…"

"Then headed back to Arasaka tower." I finished for him shaking my head, "Voodoo boys think they know where she is- beyond the blackwall."

"Where nobody can touch her." Johnny finished for me looking out past the balcony.

"Brigitte's primed to go there, break through. Just to contact Alt. Talk to her." I continued slowly.

"Too much for our little pro?" Johnny scoffed.

I gritted my teeth nodding my head as I looked down the blue codes shifted again to facing Brigitte's hands holding my face. She let me go stepping back.

"So did it work?" My voice echoed.

"Yes we extracted the nessicary fragment from Silverhand's engram." Briditte's hands waved like she was underwater as I simply hovered, "We are ready to make contact with Alt, first we must dive deeper…"

Blue codes crunched into squares before disapated into the emptiness as we slid forward through walls beyond walls of codes, "Beyond de blackwall."

A red firewall zoomed into focus as we stopped just before it's red lines extending never ending into the empty blue upwards, "Few have gone through to the other side."

She glitched before it raising her hands, "And none have yet returned. Alt will be de first!"

Before stepping any closer I turned to Briditte, "I held up my end of the deal, your turn." I ordered with palms shaking and sweat I didn't currenrly have, "Before you pass through that wall, I want Johnny's psyche removed."

"We will not pass through. You will take de code to the other side." Her arms waved once more like she was trying to stay afloat.

I sighed, "Not much for options do I?"

"Go."

I stepped towards the wall pulsating with blue energy and red lines wavering, I slowly reached my shivering hand to it, touching it as it created ripples in the wave of colors. "How do I get to the other side…Briditte?"

I turned around for her but only saw black emptiness within an endless void.

I walked further within as a red haze shimmered like a digital fog, "Alt?" I called cupping my mouth to call within the nothingness.

Suddenly within the red fog was a red shape of a woman hovering above me, "Johnny." She breathed, "You cannot remain here…" she raised her hand as I was suddenly transported before the blackwall again.

"Alt Cunningham." Briditte breathed before me once more as blue static sparked around her figure.

"Alt? What's goin on?" I looked around before I was suddenly transported with Johnny once more to the balcony, Alt hovered in massive form in front of him.

"Relax, lemme handle this." He nodded eyes fixed on Alt as he shifted his legs restlessly, "Come through the blackwall just to meet me.. Does that mean we're good, things are chill between us?"

Alt responded almost rebotically nothing like earlier memories, "I have recognized your engram code but I do not know why your here."

"To give you a chance to pay me back for gettin' you outta Arasaka tower… V this is Alt— best netrunner Night City's ever seen." Johnny waved between me and Alt.

He dropped one arm still fixed on her, "Alt this is V— you need to save her life."

I pointed towards my head, "This chip, this relic, it's killin' me. Constructs wormin' away through my nueral system." I looked towards her with pleading eyes.

"I see this, but why is it my problem?" She waved her hands.

Johnny lifted and slammed his hands onto the rail, "Why the fuck isn't it!? You created soulkiller, you handed Arasaka a fuckin' super weapon that dismantled me, you, and half the 'runners in Night City!"

Alt waved to Johnny lightly, "Your death was of your own making."

"Jesus Alt! I dove in after you, gonna tell me now this aint your fuckin' problem?" Johnnys voice broke with raging anger.

"It is not. The Alt Cunningham you strove to save in Arasaka Tower no longer exists. This should be obvious to you as you were responsible for her death."

I squeezed my hands into fists… "Ok I get it, you hate Johnny's guts, but what about me?"

Alt turned her attention to me, "I cannot help you."

The world around me felt like I was going to fall through endlessly as all hope left me.

"Can't or won't?" Johnny added for my speechlessness.

"Can't, to attempt to do so would need access to more advanced technology." She responded.

"W-what? But it's your tech, you created soulkiller." I interrogated as I found my voice dry and weak.

"The soulkiller I created has little in common with how Arasaka has since repurposed it."

Her words spun around me as I sat onto the floor, feeling heavy.

"Fine how about Mikoshi? That advanced enough for ya!?" Johnny called.

"If I could gain access to Mikoshi it would cease to exist."

"Good, we can work with that…" Johnny looked between me and Alt, "Well get you inside Mikoshi and you'll help V, deal?"

I shook my head squeezing my hand into a fist looking up at Alt, "Best 'runner in Night City can't bust into Mikoshi on her own?" My voice arrogantly challenged her.

She waved her hands, "I am a well known threat there, they have a layer of black ICE with my name on it, literally."

"Kinda like a custom made prison jumpsuit…" Johnnys voice trailed shaking his head.

"What can you do for me exactly?" I snapped.

"With the soulkiller resident inside Mikoshi, I will create a construct of you, then disentangle your nerual network from Johnny's creating your own independent network once more, I shall then inject your engram back into your mortal form."

I nodded my head slowly, "Right. So we got a plan."

"But how will you reach Mikoshi? I have created armies to breach it." She questioned.

Johnny looked to me, "They were children of the Net, there's your problem. We're bankin' on the human factor."

I slowly pushed myself up rising off the data's ground looking up to Alt. "Right. So we're agreed? How'll I contact you once I'm ready?"

Alt waved towards me in a transfer, "This is a BBS address. It will be our secure communication channel."

"Voodoo boys, what about them?" Johnny now asked.

Alt waved her hands into the air as her voice echoed through the glitching, "They will let you pass without harm, those were out terms…"

My vision returned to the normal non digital world within the iced tub as my unfeeling fingers grappled and yanked the cord from the nape of my neck gripping the side, "ughhn-ah-ah-ngh…fooo."

Unable to feel my body I lifted my numb legs outside of the tub muscles straining as they were now hot pins as I limped standing once more on solid ground.

Bridgitte strode towards me putting her hand on her hip, "So you managed to survive."

Through chattering teeth I remarked, "No thanks to you."

She shifted her weight hip to hip as she stated, "You must not take any of dis personally."

Like Evelyn Parker? Like Placide? Like the Blackwall?

"We seek Silverhand, you are unlucky, get involved." She waved her hand.

"So it's OK to make me the fool? That how you do biz? I'll give Alt the heads up." I snarled my lip looking into her.

Mamon Bridgitte crossed her arms walking close into me with narrowed eyes, "You dare to lecture me?" She challenged.

"I'd rather give you your due, so that other 'ranyons' will live." I stated with venom.

"Enough! Alt can protect you in her realm but here and now you are in mine." She scoffed leaning into my face.

I grabbed my pistol with swift reflexes pressing it into her chin with a pull of the trigger blowing her brains into fine mist, chunks of bone, and globs of fat as it splattered over me before one could blink.

I killed the rest with blazing fire, without hesitation flatlined Placide, murdered all Voodoo's, stepping out of the church once more dripping in blood that wasn't mine.

Quiet life or blaze of glory?
