Chapter 2: Order 66
Meanwhile at the Senate Mace and his group of Jedi confronts Chancellor Palpatine as they do in the original version.
As Palpatine armed himself with his crimson lightsaber quoting: It's treason then.
He ignites his lightsaber, killing the three Jedi and dueling with Mace as he did in the original version.
The only change in this was Anakin did not show up to save Palpatine; he was still talking to Qui-Gon during this learning about the dark future.
But if you were expecting Windu to defeat Palpatine here…well think again.
In my certain point of view I believed Palpatine sensed Anakin coming during the fight with Mace and let himself get overpowered by him on purpose in another manipulation to win Anakin on his side making him look like the victim and Windu tempted to assassinate him for the Jedi to overthrow the Senate.
But in this alternate timeline given Anakin wasn't coming for Palpatine to pull off that trick on him he kept fighting Mace and were both evenly matched.
Due to Windu's grey status in both the light and the dark side and Palpatine's full power of the dark side neither one of them broke a sweat the Sith Lord knew he couldn't keep this up for long the Senate would be alerted of this and would be exposed.
His plans would be foiled more than already are now that Qui-Gon's force ghost pulled him away from the path of the dark side unknown to him.
He had to finish off Windu quickly and without Anakin here he got desperate enough to blast force lightning with his one hand and his lightsaber in the other but Windu still deflects the lightning.
And Palpatine still burns under it, physically scarring him like it did in the original timeline.
But given Palpatine was using one hand and Windu struggling to keep the raging lightning from burning him Palpatine took advantage with this distraction using the force on his lightsaber it cutting off Mace's arm in this too.
And Palpatine unleashes his unlimited power at Windu forcing him out the window like in the original timeline just without Anakin being present there.
But at the Jedi Temple…he did felt if after Qui-Gon's force ghost disappeared.
"No…" Anakin said.
Anakin felt something bad happen to Master Windu; he ran out of the Council Chambers.
Palpatine dawned his Sith robe and since Anakin wasn't here to be turned to the dark side Palpatine realized he had to carry the plan out on his own he would have to go to the Mustafar System to kill the Separatists himself once he issues order 66.
The Sith Lord contacts Commander Cody on Utapau where Anakin's master: Obi-Wan Kenobi was fighting General Grievous and gives the order: Execute Order 66.
And then the Jedi were now being hunted and killed by the clones and as Darth Sidious's plan was now in motion he boarded his shuttle to leave for Mustafar.
As Anakin ran out of the temple to help Master Windu.
He stopped and saw the Clones coming up the stairs unaware what their intentions were.
"Troopers! There's an emergency at the Senate. Get a ship ready for me." Anakin said.
"I'm sorry sir. We're no longer acquired to fallow your orders." Clone said.
"What did you say…?" Anakin said.
The clones pointed their guns at him forcing him to ignite his lightsaber.
And to deflect their fire their numbers were too great he was forced to retreat back inside alerting near by Jedi.
"Skywalker, what's going on?" The Jedi asked.
"The temple's under attack. Put everyone on alert! Initiate Lockdown!" Anakin called.
"Yes Master!" The Jedi said.
The Clones managed to break in before they could lock it down and the temple attack began just with Anakin on the Jedi's side.
More Jedi joined Anakin in defending the temple, igniting their lightsabers along with Jedi Temple Guards.
Even with Anakin on their side the Jedi stood little chance against the Clones due to their numbers the lock down was active and only trapped many of the clones already in the temple.
Anakin and three Jedi with him worked in teams to fight off the Clones, cutting off their heads and arms but more clones kept coming.
Eventually the three Jedi were killed one after the other and Anakin in pain sadness and in stock for their deaths he was forced to retreat.
When he came into the upper halls he looked down to see more clones attacking other Jedi.
It was utter horror for him. It made him think back to the vision Qui-Gon showed him earlier and knew more for sure he made the right choice not falling under Palpatine's deception but only did LITTLE good since the clones were attacking anyway.
"Were the Clones just…palms of the Sith this whole time? Master Qui-Gon, what must I do now?!" Anakin said.
"Master Skywalker!" a voice came.
Anakin turned to his left, noticing a small group of Younglings running to him in fear.
"Our Master was killed! We ran as fast as we could! Why are the Clones doing this?!" Reva called.
"I don't know, Padawan but you're all gonna be okay. Stay close to me." Anakin said.
Anakin leads the Younglings out of the halls in search for any survivors and possible exits…
