Chapter 32:
Aiden and Brie had been talking for hours, trying to figure out what was wrong with him, but every past event Brie brings up, it doesn't help, his brain is just… empty. Will he ever remember her? Will he ever remember the love they share? Will he ever be the same again?
Visitor after visitor, nothing helps, not Brogues' stories, not Lorne or Sheppard, not Daniel or Teal'c, not Jack and Sam, nothing. Hell, even Hayes gave it a shot! But one person didn't try, Kai.
Kai spent the last four hours beating the crap out of the punching bags, he was angry beyond control! Ugh! He is so angry right now! He wishes there was a way to save his brother! As he was beating the bag, he turns around, a little girl, she had the exact image as his mother, mother… interesting. "Hello." He smiled slightly.
"Are you my other brother?" the little girl asked. Ah, so this is Grace, his little sister. "Yes, I am, the name is Kai." He smiles. The little girl, smiles with her teeth and hugs him, catching the warrior off guard. But he hugs her back, a protective instinct kicking in, is this what Aiden felt all those years ago, when he held her for the first time?
"Aiden needs help, help him." She little girl begged.
Kai, realizing he hadn't spoken to his brother yet, gets up, while holding Grace, he walks to the isolation room, needing to speak to his brother. "I can fix this; I know what to do.".
Meanwhile, in the lab, Sam and a team or scientists had been studying the sarcophagus and its contents. What the hell did Kinsey do to her baby? She thought back, to the day Aiden came to them, if he never came to them, she would probably never had been with Jack, and little Grace would never have been born.
She thinks back to Aiden's 16th-birthday, his first birthday with them, it was nothing big, just the four of them, little Grace was about nine months old, Aiden spent that birthday up the mountains with Jack, the two having the best bonding experience a father and son could ever ask. Aiden came down the end of that week, different, no more thinking about the Replicators finding him, he smiled more often too. It was up in the mountains where he revealed to Jack, he was dating Gabriela, Sam never liked Gabriela, of course she never admitted it at the time but she knew she was trouble. She is surprised that she never managed to get Aiden in bed with her, teenagers are pretty weird nowadays.
Jack was still on the deck, watching, smiling, smiling at the sight, the sight of Aiden, happy, he might not remember anything, but he could tell that he was falling in love with Brie all over again, he thinks back to his boy's sixteenth.
Three years earlier:
Jack and Aiden had been hiking for the weekend of Aiden's birthday, camping out in sleeping bags around a fire, tents were all unnecessary in this military family. While sitting around the fire, Jack noticed his son, smiling more often then he used too. That could only mean one thing.
"What's her name?" the Air Force General asks.
Aiden chuckles, he didn't need to know how his father knew, "Gabriela, she's on the school's cheer team. Very beautiful.".
Jack went stoic for a second, the cheerleader from the clothing store? Huh, well he guessed Aiden could've picked worst, but the truth is, is Aiden thinking straight? "Be careful son, the heart is a fragile thing, don't break it.".
Aiden nods, "I'll do my best.".
Jack never thought this will happen, that his son is the one who end up heart broken, he always saw his son as the strong minded survivor he knows he is, the kid had all right to be the villain in this story, but he never did, his boy is probably the strongest man Jack ever met. Deciding to take matters in his own hands, he goes to the inventory and grabs a zat. "I hope this works.".
Walking into the room, Jack sees Aiden and Brie still talking, Brie who sees the zat looks at him worried, "General, sir, what are you doing?".
Jack, shuts his eyes, "Hoping my plan doesn't kill my son.". Brie flings up, "Wait! We don't know if!" but before she could answer, Jack fires a one shot at Aiden, Aiden spasms up and…
"OW! WHAT THE FUCK DAD!?"
