Hello everyone! I am back with some new NiGHTS into Dreams stories. Once again, thanks to Eliwert20 for the suggestions. I wish you all a Happy Holidays!
If anyone is curious, Claris, Elliot, NiGHTS and the Nightopians will be in their Christmas attire in this story. Also, the Spring Valley that will appear is the Christmas version of it. Both of these are from Christmas NiGHTS into Dreams.
I do not own the NiGHTS franchise. Once again, I am referring to NiGHTS as they/them. Remember, NiGHTS is made genderless, so their gender is completely up to the player.

Elliot and Claris are in Spring Valley, giving out presents to the Nightopians. The Nightopians unwrap the presents and are happy with what they got. Some got papers and crayons, others got bubbles. Some got fishing rods, while others got a remote controlled toy robot that looks like a red variant of NiGHTS. They are all happy, playing with their Christmas presents.
"Looks like all the Nightopians are happy." Elliot tells Claris. Claris looks to Elliot, giving him a smile.
They both look up and see NiGHTS. NiGHTS sees them and lands next to them. "I just looked all around. It looks like we won't have to worry about any Nightmarens this Christmas." NiGHTS tells Claris and Elliot.
"Well that's good to hear. What about Owl? Where is he?" Claris asks NiGHTS.
"I checked up on him. He said that he was going to read some Christmas stories to the younger Nightopians. When I left, it sounded like they wanted him to read another story. I guess we won't be seeing that old bird for a while." NiGHTS tells Claris and Elliot what Owl is doing.
"Hope he's doing okay. Maybe we can help him after handing out the gifts to the Nightopians?" Claris suggested to them.
Suddenly, the three of them hear hooting in the distance. They look around and see Owl flying towards them. Tailing him is a bunch of Nightopians. Owl flies towards them and lands on a tree stump.
"So this is where you were flying off to. Couldn't you have slowed down? I kept calling out to you." Owl turns towards NiGHTS and lectures them.
Upon hearing this, NiGHTS gave Owl a confused look. "What do you mean? I didn't hear you." NiGHTS tells Owl.
"Oh never mind. Anyways, I see that the visitors are here. It seems that the Nightopians are happy." Owl decides to change the subject.
"They sure do. But, didn't NiGHTS say that you were reading Christmas stories to the younger Nightopians?" Elliot asks Owl.
"I was. However, when they heard that you two were here, they became restless and wanted to see you two. So I agreed." Owl explains why he isn't reading to the Nightopians.
"Well, we would be happy to spend time with the Nightopians. Right you two?" Claris turns two Elliot and NiGHTS, hoping they would agree.
"Claris is right. We were actually wondering if we should see you to lend you a hand." Elliot tells Owl.
"Hoo hooo! Why thank you visitors!" Owl thanks them.
"So, what are we going to do next? Does anyone have any ideas on what we should do?" NiGHTS asks everyone.
"I have one! My family would always sing Christmas carols together! Let's teach the Nightopians a Christmas song!" Claris suggests an idea, sounding excited.
"That sound like fun! What do you say?" NiGHTS agrees with the idea. They turn to the Nightopians to see what they think, to which they all cheer in agreement.
"It does sound like fun. I'm in." Elliot tells Claris.
Seeing as everyone has made their decision, Owl spoke up. "Then I guess we are all in agreement. Hi hoooo!"
We see Claris and Elliot standing in front of the Nightopians, teaching the Nightopians a song. Claris is holding a stick to serve as a conductor baton. NiGHTS is standing/floating next to Elliot and Claris.
"Alright everyone, ready. One, two, three, four!" Claris tells the Nightopians. She moves the baton as they sing Jingle Bells. Claris and Elliot sing along with the Nightopians while NiGHTS plays the song on their Dream Flute.
"Dashing through the snow"
"In a one horse, slope and sleigh."
"Over the hills we go,"
"Laughing all the way."
"Bells on bobtails ring, making spirit bright."
"What fun it is to ride and sing"
"a sleighing song tonight!"
"Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells,"
"Jingle all the way."
"Oh, what fun it is to ride,"
"In a one horse, slope and sleigh."
"Hey! Jingle bells, jingle bells,"
"Jingle all the way!"
"Oh what fun it is to ride,"
"In a one horse slope and sleigh!"
"Ho hooo, we'll done everyone. That was splendid!" Owl praises everyone for their performance.
"I think Claris should be getting the praise. You did a great job teaching the Nightopians the song." Elliot praises Claris. This embarrasses Claris, still not use to hearing people praising her.
"It was nothing, really. Anyone can learn this song." Claris tells Elliot, trying to hide her blushing face.
"You did an amazing job Claris! The Nightopians are having so much fun singing the song. I guess they're happy to learn something new." NiGHTS tells Claris.
The Nightopians are singing Jingle Bells while flying around. They are all in a happy, cheery mood. Suddenly, a Nightopian collided with a tree, causing snow to land on them. NiGHTS, Claris, Elliot and Owl saw what happened and rushed over. While digging the Nightopian out, they were unaware that some of the snow got onto some of the Nightopians.
"They you are! Are you alright?" NiGHTS asks the Nightopian, sounding very concerned. The Nightopians smiles and cheers, letting them know that they were okay. Everyone lets out a breath they didn't know they were holding in.
Suddenly, NiGHTS felt something hit the back of their head. They turn around and see some of the Nightopians are laughing. Claris, Elliot and Owl turn around to see the laughing Nightopians.
"Hey, what are you guys laughing about?" Elliot asks them. Suddenly, Claris, Elliot and Owl get hit with snow at the back of their heads. They turn around and see more Nightopians laughing.
"I see what's going on here. Well if it's a snowball fight you want, then it's a snowball fight you'll get!" NiGHTS tells the Nightopians. "Alright everyone, let's get ready!"
Everyone scatters into different directions. They pick up snowballs and throw them. Snowballs are flying everyone. Some would hit the Nightopians, some would hit the trees and rocks, and some would miss the opponents completely.
Eventually, everyone got tired of throwing/dodging snowballs. They all fell to the ground in exhaustion. While laying in the snow, they all look at the night sky, looking at the twinkling stars and the falling snow.
"Man, the snowball fight was a lot of fun!" Elliot speaks up.
"It sure was. I can't remember the last time I even felt the slightest bit tired." NiGHTS agrees with Elliot.
Elliot raises an eyebrow at NiGHTS statement. "Really, not even when we had to stop the Wizeman and his Nightmaren army?" Elliot points out.
Claris let's put a little chuckle. "I know that I'm exhausted. I didn't do a lot of snowball fights when I was little. So it was a lot of fun being able to do one with my friends." Claris tells the both of them.
They all hear Owl next to them. He was clearing his throat. "While you all had your fun, I was caught in the crossfire. How did I get dragged into it?" Owl complains to them, sounding a bit frustrated.
"Sorry Owl. I guess it just kind of happened." Claris apologizes to Owl. They all hear the sound of snoring. They all sit up and see that the younger Nightopians have fallen asleep.
"Well, at least the Nightopians are asleep. I guess this snowball fight was able to tire them out." Owl tells them. They all stand up and walk over to the sleeping Nightopians. They pick them up and bring them inside an igloo. Once inside, they tucked them all into their beds so they can sleep. Once they were sure they were fast asleep, they quietly left the igloo.
"Thank you for your help visitors. I am grateful for your help with taking care of the little ones." Owl thanks them.
"It's no problem Owl. I like playing with the Nightopians. Seeing them happy always make me happy." Claris tells Owl.
"It's the same for me. I like when I get to teach the Nightopians a new game and seeing them have fun." Elliot tells Owl.
"I know what you both mean. Seeing the Nightopians happy and having fun always puts a smile on my face." NiGHTS tells them.
"Even though the Nightopians are asleep, I believe it's time for the both of you to wake up." Owl tells Claris and Elliot. "I can sense that it's almost morning in your world."
"Oh man. Here I thought we would have enough time to build a snowman." NiGHTS tells them, sounding upset. "But I guess we can't have them sleep through the day and miss Christmas. I'll go grab an Alarm Egg." NiGHTS tells them. They look around and see a nearby Alarm Egg. They grab it and bring it over to Elliot and Claris.
"Next time we visit, we'll be sure to build the biggest snowman ever. Who knows, maybe it can be as tall as a building." Elliot tells NiGHTS. Claris nods her head in agreement.
"We'll be sure to do it next time we come here. But now, we need to wake up. After all, it's Christmas." Claris tells everyone.
Claris and Elliot reach out and touch the Alarm Egg. As they do this, the Alarm Egg floats and hovers over them, shining a blue light on them. This allows Claris and Elliot to leave the Night Dimension and wake up in their world.
Unknown to any of them, Santa Claus is watching them. He sets his presents for everyone in Nightopia under the Christmas tree. Once he's done that, he looks back up, and sees the Claris and Elliot are no longer there, meaning that they woke up. He quietly walks over to his sleigh and reindeer, gets into his sleigh, and flies into the night sky.
Well, I did it. I got a NiGHTS Christmas story made before Christmas. A nice little Christmas present for the NiGHTS fans.
Also, if anyone is curious, that remote controlled toy of NiGHTS is referred to as Mechanic NiGHTS. It was a scrapped feature in the game. It was meant to be a little toy that the Nightopians would play with in Stick Canyon. It was discover in September 2021, despite it having game files in the Sega Saturn version.
Also, it is confirmed that Santa Claus does appear in Christmas NiGHTS into Dreams. He can be seen flying around in the background. So, I feel like it kind of justifies having him appear at the end.
