A/N: I had this conversation with an author/friend, animedevilluvzyuri, regarding what world Wendy should be transported to. Should it be a world where she gets psychologically scarred by Monsters in Human skin or an eldritch truth that caused the problem in the first place? The answer is neither of them. Instead, she'll experience a once-in-a-lifetime event within the closing days of the Wild West Era. Everyone, I present the One and only 'Wild West Dragon', a Fairy Tail and Red Dead Redemption 2 story. A title of which the individual, as mentioned earlier, had come up with. Let us see where this goes from, shall we?
Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail and/or Red Dead Redemption II
Wild West Dragon
One
Welcome to the Wild West
Magnolia Town. It is known to have over an estimated sixty-thousand inhabitants because it is a merchant city that has always been prosperous in Magic since the ancient era. However, there is one reason why it is widely known. Somewhere within stood the guild building home to the most infamous Guild in all of Fiore: Fairy Tail.
Fairy Tail houses some of the most potent individuals with a lofty reputation in Guilds despite being the most destructive and unique misfits. An example of this is inside of the Guildhall, the usual antics. One of which was two certain men scrambling over some petty dispute. "You melting popsicle stick!" That voice belongs to Natsu Dragneel.
"Says the dim-witted asshat causing trouble all the time!" Gray Fullbuster countered to his friend/rival's comment.
As this was early in the morning, Lucy Heartfilia couldn't help but groan at what she saw and felt another headache coming. "Come on, guys. This is too early for all of this." Her words fell on deaf ears as the two wizards fought by pummelling one another.
Cana laughed at the sight before her while sitting beside the bar as she sipped a bottle of alcohol. "Nothing has changed much for the past three months, huh?"
The blonde had to agree with the drunkard's statement. Still, it was damn early. "I know. But having this occurring daily..." Her headache got worse, and she heard their shouts getting louder. She clutched her ears with both hands to suppress the sound before putting her head face down on the table.
"At least something is going on around here," Mirajane spoke, unaffected by what was happening.
Lisanna wholeheartedly agreed with her sister's words. "It's like what Cana said. Nothing really changed."
She would have nodded if the blonde didn't have her head on the table. Yet still, she couldn't help the two bickering with each other through her muffled ears. With Natsu being the loudest, as usual. "TAKE THAT BACK, YOU DAMN WEASEL!"
"WHAT?!" She heard Gray shriek in response. "YOU'RE NOT MAKING SENSE!"
"BOTH OF YOU, THAT'S ENOUGH!" A female voice shouted at them. Lucy no longer heard the two quarrelling at each other and lifted her head to see Erza Scarlet standing above the two, who lay face-down on the floor and had large bumps on their heads.
The blonde relief that the redhead managed stopped the two's argument from worsening. "Thank you, Ezra."
A small, anthropomorphic cat walked over to the pink-haired boy. "Are you alright, Natsu?" Happy asked and heard him painfully groan in response.
A young woman with long blue hair wearing blue-themed clothing went to where the Ice Mage was. "Don't worry! Juvia is here to heal you, love!"
The blonde writer sighed while rubbing her temples, finally having some peace. Her eyes suddenly shifted to where a certain sky dragon slayer usually sat with her Exceed Companion. "It's strange not to have Wendy and Carla around this morning."
"Yeah, it is." Gajeel slightly nodded, agreeing to her statement. "I don't blame that pipsqueak visiting that God Sky Slayer friend of hers." Levy elbowed her friend, but it seemed to be ineffective.
Hearing that statement made Erza smile. Deep down, she knew Wendy and Sherria were close friends and would always spend their time together whenever possible. This became more apparent after the Sky God Slayer aided Wendy in fighting against one of the Spriggen Twelve, Dimaria. The two succeeded, but it came at the cost of the Sky God Slayer losing her magic power. Still, she'd been able to find ways to help around her Guild. Despite the fact she might not be able to use Magic, there may be ways of reusing it again. And it was all because Wendy had encouraged her to do the impossible. She was deep in her thoughts and looked to the ceiling. "I hope your encouragement will help your friend regain the ability to use magic, Wendy."
-Scene Change-
Far away from where Fairy Tail was situated someplace in the southwest, a town constructed over water stood another renowned Guild within the territory of Fiore: Lamina Scale. Like its counterpart in Magnolia Town, it housed several colourful individuals. Some are widely known within the town.
Just at the back of Lamina Scale's guild building, a red-haired girl with twin pigtails, long black stockings, and white legwarmers atop black shoes had her hands close to one another, and a giant ball of air was assembled. She smiled at what she did and giggled at her friend. "Wendy, look! Do you see it?!"
The other girl smiled back at her close friend. "Yeah, I see it!" She looked down to her left. "Don't you think, Carla?"
The female exceed nodded her head. "Indeed. She had developed a lot last time we visited."
The Former God Slayer smiled at their compliment. "Thank you! I've been practising for quite some time after you visited me last time!"
The Sky Dragon Slayer felt pleased by her friend's words. She chuckled and rubbed the back of her head while slightly blushing. "Oh. I didn't know that. Guess I got you too motivated, huh?"
"It would seem so. Wendy." The girl, Sherria and Carlia heard a familiar friendly voice to the side and turned to see Lyon walking towards them. He stopped once he got closer to the Sky Dragon slayer and touched her shoulder. "It's thanks to your words of encouragement that Sherria can use Magic again. Even if it is just a little from before."
Wendy gave the Ice User a smile of her own. She then looked back at her best friend for confirmation. "Is that true, Sherria?"
The other girl nodded in response to her question. "Uh-huh."
The Fairy Tail member was glad about it. Suddenly, her stomach rumbles loudly. This made her wrap her arms around her stomach and blush in embarrassment. "Oh! I didn't realise that I was that hungry!"
Carla had the look of deadpan on her face as she pointed out why. "That's because you ate less than usual this morning, Child."
Wendy awkwardly chuckled at the Exceed's words. It was true that she didn't eat a lot in the morning since she wanted to see how Sherria progressed since her last visit. Luckily, the girl was there to save her. "Oh, don't worry about it, Wendy. How about you come to my place later, and I cook our favourite meal?"
Hearing this caused the Sky Dragon Slayer to have sparkles in her eyes. She couldn't deny that Sherria could make delicious food. "Really?! Oh, thank you!" She proceeded to hug her.
Sherria enjoyed the hug Wendy had given her. Although, she could hardly breathe as it was too tight. "Uh…Wendy?"
Wendy realised what she had done and let go. She let out an awkward giggle as she hugged her too tight. "Sorry, Sherria."
Lyon couldn't help but laugh at the sight he witnessed. He decided to leave the three alone. "I'll let the three of you do your own thing." With that, he walked away from them.
A few seconds passed, and the two younglings looked at each other as they waited for the other to respond. "About that...?" Wendy had asked her friend.
"I know," Sherria said with a smile formed on her face. "Come to my place at night. I'll be preparing my special dinner by then, and you'll be happy to see it again." She also left the area to do her own work. Now, Wendy has to wait until tonight when she comes to visit Sherria's place.
-Scene Change-
The sun has begun to set down within Margaret town. Wendy was already sitting at the dining table at Sherria's place. Her facial expression indicates she was excited. Why. Because it was her special stew, she was cooking. The aroma from the kitchen reached the Sky Dragon Slayer's nostrils, causing her to drool. Speaking of said girl, she came out holding a pot of her stew. "Sorry for taking too long, Wendy."
The other girl chucked at her words in response. "It's alright. After all, your stew is the best one I ever tasted." In all honesty, the recipes were simple. It only contains a mixture of beef, celery, onions, carrots, and potatoes. But the way she prepared it is what makes it so tasty.
Once the former God Slayer put the stew on the table, Sherria sat on the opposite side. She exhaled at the meal she made and clapped her hands together. "Now, let's eat!"
Wendy did the same action as her friend. She wastes no time in getting her share of the stew. Once the content was in her mouth, she immediately had stars in her eyes. "Mmmm. This is delicious!"
Sherria laughed at her friend's remark. "Oh, Wendy. You sure do miss my stew. "She put some in her bowl and ate a spoonful of it. She chewed the content before swallowing it. It was sure tasty and something she was meant to cook for a while.
The two ate in silence, wanting to have this time to finish the stew without any disturbance. After a while, the pot was empty, with only a few scraps remaining. The Young Dragon Slayer patted her stomach as she felt stuffed. "That was some good stew you cooked, Sherria!"
The Former God Slayer laughed at her words in response. "Yeah. That's something I wanted to cook for quite a while now."
Now, that made sense why she had an eager expression while cooking. Hearing that made Wendy ask another question. "So… how's the Guild been treating you since you cannot use a lot of magic than before?"
Sherria paused; her expression more serious as she considered Wendy's question. She lowered her gaze briefly, then looked back at her friend with a small smile.
"It's been different," Sherria admitted, her voice tinged with nostalgia. "Lamia Scale has always been supportive; my friends there are amazing. They understand my situation, and Lyon has been especially helpful. He's been teaching me new skills that don't rely on Magic."
Wendy nodded, relieved to hear that her friend was receiving support. "That's good to hear. You're strong, Sherria, with or without your Magic."
Sherria's smile brightened at Wendy's words. "Thanks, Wendy. You're right. Magic isn't the only thing that makes a wizard strong. It's the bonds we form and the determination to keep moving forward."
As they chatted, the two friends continued to reminisce about their adventures, the battles they'd faced, and the victories they'd achieved. It was a pleasant evening filled with laughter and heartfelt conversations. They even talked about their friends from within their respected Guild. Carla couldn't help but smile at the two's conversation. "You didn't change the slightest."
"You know, Wendy," Sherria spoke up after hearing Wendy's words. "You're a good friend."
The other girl chuckled at that statement while slightly blushing. "Thank you for your compliment, Sherria." That meant a lot to her, considering the sacrifice her friend made back at the war with the Alvarez Empire.
While the two were engaging in a private chat, Carla looked out of the window and noticed that it had become dark. She looked over at her friend and had an expression that she was about to remind her. "You better get some sleep, child. The train we're supposed to go is going to be around early to lunch. I don't want to see you sleep-deprived of what happened last time."
Wendy instantly heard what her Exceed friend stated and looked at the clock. Her eyes widened as she realised that it was precisely an hour left till midnight. That was bad. Although the train would arrive at around Half Eleven, the Young Dragon Slayer felt incredibly exhausted as she did a lot of activities today. "Uh...about that..."
"You don't have to worry about helping me clean up the mess," The Former God Slayer assured her with a smile. "You know how fast I am with cleaning, right?"
The Sky Dragon Slayer immediately nodded, and they began to clean up. Although Sherria was a quick cleaner, that doesn't mean she was willing to help. After ten minutes of washing and cleaning the dishes, the two were in the bedroom, getting ready to sleep. Carla was already sleeping in her makeshift bed, and it was only them remaining awake. Sherria did a few stretches before heading off to bed while talking to her best friend. "I'm going to be missing you when you go back to your guild, Wendy."
The other girl let out a soft chuckle at her words. "Oh, Sheria! You always worry about me. I'm gonna be fine. It's just like last time."
Sherria narrowed her eyes at her. "Are you sure"?
Wendy gave an assured smile to her. "I'm sure."
The brought some clarity for Sherria. "I know you are Wendy." She proceeded to go under the bed covers. The Sky Dragon Slayer did the same thing since they were sharing beds. Sleep eventually overtook them as they slowly closed their eyes. "Goodnight, Wendy." Sherria quietly spoke to Wendy.
"And goodnight to you, Sherria." The Sky Dragon Slayer said back to her before going to sleep.
A few hours after the three girls fell asleep, a mysterious woman in a pure white dress entered the room without making a sound. She had an unearthly presence and a mysterious glow as she approached the two girls in bed and looked at them. To be more specific, she had her eyes directly at Wendy. "You are really a good friend, Young One. Though, you may have not fulfilled a single requirement within my Realm or within it, you have the positive sight of helping people out. I wonder if you can help a particular individual who done many bad things in the past but can still be saved?" She let out a smile on that thought. "And for that, I have a task for you. Guide him to the path of redemption before his untimely end. Though, you might endure some hardships on the way."
She held out her right hand in front of the Sky Dragon Slayer and a bright light enveloped her without waking the others up. When it died down, Wendy was still seen lying on the bed, yet she lay there motionlessly. The woman's task was done but she couldn't help but giggle at her own words as it had some irony in it. "Honestly, she will have it much better than the other three variants I know of." At those words, she instantly vanished without a single trace.
-Scene Change-
Wendy's eyes stirred open, and she immediately noticed a few differences. One, the surroundings were humid, but in a sense, that made her shiver. Second, she was lying on the grass. Third, there were trees everywhere. And the fourth was that she could hear the wilderness. These sudden thoughts made her realise something.
She wasn't in Sherria's place.
She was deep within a heavily forested area.
It took a few minutes for the Sky Dragon Slayer to sink in right before she gave her reaction to her situation. "What-what!? Where am I?!"
Looking around her surroundings, she realised she was the only present.
No Sherria…
No Carla…
Whatever the Young Dragon Slayer's mindset was, she was panicking. It was enough to make her hyperventilate, which didn't help.
"What is going on!?" She asked herself. "I was asleep with Sherria in her place and woke up sleeping in a forest. I can't... I just can't..." She suddenly sniffed when a familiar scent reached her nostrils. Food.
Food that has been recently cooked that was very far to where she was. A sudden thought popped up in her mind. "Food...That's it. If I can go where that scent comes from, then maybe..."
Without wasting more time, she got up and headed towards where it came from. Exiting from the forest, the Young Dragon Slayer sniffed once more before facing East. "There. I can go from here. Hopefully, the people may be friendly there." With that said Wendy walked towards where the food had been cooking.
She only hoped to get her answers sorted...right after filling her stomach.

A/N: That's right you sons of bitches! WENDY'S MAKIN IT THROUGH THE WILD WEST WITH THIS ONE! This has been a project that was meant to celebrate five years since the release of the most acclaimed open world game that surpasses Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild; Red Dead Redemption 2, in terms of open world and storytelling! Let me tell you, this is far greater than what I have played in Elden Ring. Now then, Wendy ends up in the World of Red Dead Redemption. I wonder what kinds of characters she will interact with. Maybe she can possibly alter a few pivotal moments. Either way, it really depends on the situation. Now then, I might upload a couple of chapters in order to make the story more sensible in terms of a story driven narrative. I may not be able to upload a chapter anytime soon, but I will try my best to upload one. Oh yeah, two more details that needs to be brought out. One, that Goddess in the chapter belongs to my friends, animedevilluvzyuri. Secondly, in terms of where Red Dead Redemption 2 takes place, it's right at the end of Chapter One. Why, may you ask? You'll see.
