A/N: Yeah. Lenny and Micah aren't present in this chapter. You'll see why in a couple of chapters.

What will it be?

"…And that is everything you need to know about me." Wendy finished her long explanation before stretching her right arm up and yawning. Dinner has been enjoyable so far. But it seemed like she was the only one who finished her stew as she was barraged with questions she tried to clarify. She stood up and bowed at them. "Thank you all for listening. I'm just going to have some alone time."

Arthur nodded at her. "Sure." Seeing the sky dragon slayer leave, he let a tiresome sigh. "I don't know if I should be judgemental or somethin' like that to her? But her guild seemed to be more reckless than ours."

John shared the same mutual feeling. He was taking in the fact that her guild tends to go overboard in jobs, causing much destruction. And how they're always in trouble with the Magic Council. "And to think a name such as Fairy Tail can be that destructive?"

Karen chuckled at his words. "That can give us a run for our money, huh?"

Mary-Beth still comprehended what she heard before coming to her own thoughts. "She's been through so much despite her age."

Charles nodded as he agreed with her. "Looks like someone is giving us a run-in term of experience."

They all had the same feeling. How could one endure a lot? Some events caught some of their attention. "To think she's twenty years old but in a child's body?!" Abigail could not believe what she was saying.

"She was somewhat in a coma for seven years, ma." Jack reminded his mother, but he couldn't help but think about something. "To think there are flying cat people from her world!"

"Y'know she is over 400 years old, right? She's basically older than all of us." Tilly chimed in.

"Not to mention there is a guild called the Grand Magic Games." Hosea chimed in.

John was still wrapping his head around what he heard. "Them Dark Guilds and those people within it makes me wonder if we're lucky enough to not encounter them. And to think that dragon bastard, Acro-somethin' makes Colm O'Drisoll look like a Goddamn Saint!" Unknown to him, he unintentionally hit a woman's nerve upon hearing his the O'Driscoll leader.

Charles narrowed his eyes at that. "You mean Acnologia?"

That name sent shivers down some of their spines. Javier can't help but to comment. "To think a Pendejo like him can cause so many destructions. Even bathing in his own kind blood."

Still, Mary-Beth was wrapping her around a specific part that Wendy said before finishing her story. "How come this Lucy Heartfilla feller, she mentioned, could manage to rewrite a book to bring someone back to life?"

"Well, that world she belongs in is full of magical, power-of-friendship type of crap. Anything can happen." Arthur answered though he couldn't help but give his honest opinion of what he had heard.

Despite his statement, Trelawny was still impressed by how magic worked. "You have to give it to her. There is actual magic in her world. Dragon Slayer is one of them. There's Takeover Magic, Shadow Magic, and Enhancement Magic. It goes on and on. Too bad the poor girl cannot display such thing as there are no Earthano Particles."

"Yet, she still displays immense strength, smell, and hearing." Charles reminded the magician as he noted her feats from earlier. "We should not underestimate her despite being unable to use her magic."

Hosea had the same feeling as everyone else. He looked over to his close friend and saw he was deep in his thoughts. "You okay, Dutch?"

The Van Der Linde Gang Leader was snapped out of his thoughts. He looked over to everyone as if he was going to inform them. "Well, I got too deep in my thoughts. But after hearing what she's been through… We simply cannot let her get kicked out of our camp."

Arthur raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that, Dutch?"

Hearing the tone already raised some flags for the others. Abigail was the first to speak. "You ain't gonna allow her to join the gang!? She's only just a child!"

John groaned at her words. "Really? Sure, she's been through a lot and all. But joining us won't be a big deal."

He brought up a good point, but a conflicting issue still needed to be addressed. "And that means adding more trauma for someone like Wendy?" Charles voiced his opinion. "You need to consider that she hasn't killed anyone apart from Jack, John."

"Didn't she technically kill that Ezel feller before?" He dryly said to the other gang member.

"She only knocked him out," Tilly clarified.

"But she still has morals. Unlike the rest of us." Mary-Beth reminded the group. "She ain't no killer or thief."

"Perhaps that might change," Susan spoke as she swung her cup of water onto her lips.

"Maybe." Hosea finally finished.

With the conversation coming to an end, Dutch decided on his choice. "Well, I guess we're about to find out. She has enhanced scent, hearing, and strength, right? That's alright. But I want all of you to know that if she does join, I want each of you to give her at least a trick on how we survive. Is that a deal?" Each member of the Van Der Linde Gang nodded their heads. Well, except for two particular members who didn't get involved. He looked over to his close associate. "Arthur, my boy. Please get Miss Marvell so we can have a talk."

-Scene Change-

Wendy sat at the edge of the cliff not far from where the campsite was. She looked up to the night's sky to see that it was completely normal. A tiresome breathe escaped her lips as she hoped that could trust her with the information she provided. As she was about to close her eyes, she heard footsteps behind her and turned around to see a familiar face. "Arthur?"

The individual looked back at her. "Come with me, Princess. Dutch wants to talk to you." He turned around and walked away from the young girl. Wendy heard from the tone of how it may be important and proceeded to follow suit.

Making their way back to camp, Wendy saw Dutch just standing in front of the tent while everyone just stood on either side. The duo walked until they were in front of the man and Wendy can't help but to feel nervous. "Um, you wanted to see me, Mr. Van Der Linde?"

Dutch smiled back at her. "Of course, Miss Marvell. I assume you trust us with everything you provided, right?"

Wendy nodded at his query. "Yes, I do. You seemed to be nice people. Even you, Mr. Van Der Linde."

Her words causes a few to either snicker or chuckle at her innocent response. Naturally, she was confused by this before she heard Dutch once again. "Yes. Well, here is the thing. We're not camping out here for fun. We're camping because we're tryna survive. We're outlaws."

Wendy was taken back to what he had just said. "Wait, you're all outlaws!?"

Arthur had expected this reaction from her. "We're not exactly good-natured people if that's what your talkin' about."

"While that is true, we have a goal." Hosea told the young dragon slayer.

Wendy tilted her head at that. "Goal?"

"Yes, Miss Marvell." Dutch spoke to her. "We may be akin to this dark guild, but we have honourable goals like your guild. We are trying to reform from society to be better for everyone. But lately, we are being hunted down because of that."

Now that got the young dragon slayer's attention. "Is that so?"

The Van Der Linde Gang leaded nodded in confirmation. "Indeed." He looked at each and every single individual around him and Wendy. "Each one of us were lost and have no goals. Which is why I had taken them under my wing and told them of my vision. They have their own skills. You, however, are a special case. You can join us or if you don't, we'll simply escort you out of camp to find your own." He looked at Wendy, who seemed to look scared upon hearing this. "But I have to tell you, this group of misfits is no means different than Fairy Tail. What do you think, my girl?"

The Young Dragon Slayer lowered her head while her bangs shadowed her eyes. She had a hefty feeling if she would join. "If I join you, Mr. Van Der Linde, does that mean I have to kill people?"

It was at this time that John let out a groan. "Oh, for Christ's sake! What is it with you and your morals, kid!? We're wanted people and we have to kill in order to survive. I hate to break it to you, but your thoughts are gonna get us in a lot of trouble if you don't defend yourself even if you have to kill them."

Abigail just glared at John. "That's enough, John. There ain't no way I'm letting a child kill someone. Even if it means defending themselves!"

"You two, cut it!" Susan told them with a stern manner, breaking the argument between the two. "This is Wendy's decision, not yours!"

Dutch and everyone practically heard that, which made the leader turn to face the other girl. "What will it be?"

The young dragon slayer was deep in her thoughts. She had a thought of her possibly getting killed in an instant where even a minor slip-up can get her killed. After all, she wants to get back to her world and be reunited with her friends. Especially with her Guild, Fairy Tail, Carla, and more so with Sherria. Both of her hands shut tightly as she bit her lower lip. A few seconds later, she spoke. "I won't." That caught most of them by surprise. She wouldn't join their leader and his cause. Though, people like Dutch, Hosea, Arthur, Charles, and Susan knew she didn't mean by that. "I won't let that deter me from finding a way back home."

The young dragon slayer lifted up her head to look at the Van Der Linde Leader and her eyes were filled with determination. "I have friends and family back home who are waiting for me. They are probably worried about my lack of presence because I ended up here. Until I somehow find a way back home, I won't let those actions deter me from achieving my goal! Even if that means by becoming an outlaw!"

Everyone in the campsite couldn't believe what they heard. To think Dutch had an ambitious goal, it seemed like Wendy's declaration almost seemed to be an unyielding one. Some even made comments though it wasn't out loud. "To hear someone declaring somethin' so ambitious yet the way she says it sounds confident." Mary-Beth thought.

Hosea shared the same feeling. "She seemed to be so eager to achieve that. Never thought I seen one like that when Dutch first declared his dream to us."

And so did Charles, though he didn't smile. "With everything she's been through, I don't blame her for having that determination. There's a little hint of fear in her voice. Yet that look in her eyes says otherwise."

While some were impressed, others had doubts. Arthur was one of them. "The hell this kid is thinkin'. Sure she's been through tough shit, but that honestly sounds so ridiculous."

John shared the same thought as the older outlaw. "Just what type of bullshit is that?! Won't deter her from becoming an outlaw to simply just go back home. Don't you realise how unrealistic that sounds?"

Wendy's words of declaration cause the Van Der Linde Leader to chuckle in response. "Ah, it seems like she's no different than the others here?" He cleared his throat and adjusted his collar. "You know, that's quite bold of you to say that, Miss Marvell. Even though that makes you sound stupid and naïve. Are you sure about it?"

A second didn't pass for Wendy to give a response. "I'm sure, Mr. Van Der Linde… and whatever vision you have, I will gladly join."

This was all Dutch need to know. "I'm glad you had chosen wisely Wendy Marvell." He walked towards her and placed a hand on her right shoulder with a smile. "Welcome to the family, my girl."

Gold Objectives

[X] Complete within Five Minutes

A/N: What a year to finish Wild West Dragon with Wendy Marvell finally joining the Van Der Linde Gang. This seems to be a very ambitious project and it would probably take my four to five years of completing, which makes me to have to write a notebook. Though, it can't be said for Fairyborne, which is under the new title of Dragon Hunter of Yharnam. Just a question, which missions and moments are you mostly excited about? For me, it'll be a chapter very soon and a moment where Wendy saves the lives of two individuals from their fates. Other than that, please can you give me a constructive criticism so that I can improve next time.
