Zay Pov:
It's Saturday and I have to get to school all because billy blew up his locker and I happened to be with him instead of at practice. Coach is gonna be on my ass especially after what Jason did which has fucked his knee and in Coaches eyes his ticket to a college coaching job. Getting up I get dressed and check my phone its mom letting me know she's gonna be gone over the weekend. Tapping on the door to my younger brother Damian whos been up all night to get his attention.
" I'm Going to Detention now I'll be back in a couple of hours. Theres food on the stove for you and D." I say once he turns his head to me
" Okay Zay i'll text you if anything happens I love you." he replied before putting his headset back on.
I turn to walk out the house. This is a usual weekend for us mom out trying to generate buzz for her startup that she still won't tell me about. Meanwhile I'm left to look out for my 3 younger siblings. Tbh though it's fine. My success at football is helping us out the past year since then we've been good.
Blasting music in my headphones as I decide to jog to the school. I'm actually late do to this but I had no other options. I walk in to see scott standing over resident delinquent. As I stand there I just see him get slapped. Can't even lie, this is the funniest thing that I have seen in a couple days. Once that's all done I sit down next to billy.
" Billy what was that all about?" I ask
" What was all what about?" he asks back
" Nevermind Billy just stay innocent pls." I say smiling at my oblivious friend.
As I do that I see Kimberly get up and walk out of detention in a hurry. Seeing her here is actually surprising were not really friends anymore but we used to be somewhat close growing up. At the same time none of my business.
With that I tap billy letting him know i'm about to take a nap. Waking up I see Billy rushing out as detention ends as if he's chasing after someone. I grab my stuff walking after him. When I walk out I see him talking to Jason.
" I have tools." Billy says
" I have to be in my house by 7." Jason responds
" What are yall talking about?" I ask as I walk up, putting my arm around billy.
" I was telling Jason if he comes to my house I can fix his ankle bracelet for him." Billy says smiling at me
" And why would you be doing that for him?" I question
" Well remember you said you couldn't take me out to the quarry so I thought jason here could." Billy says
" I said I didn't know if I would have time." I reply shaking my head at billy's enthusiasm. " But yeah if Jason agrees thats fine. I'll still come if I can to make sure your okay." After that I walk away as they finish their conversation and continue walking home.
On my way home I get to just relax and notice the world. Times like this are the most peaceful I get to just let the world be background noise to my own thoughts. Thinking about how what I needed to get done if I wanted to be with Billy when he went to the quarry. Walking in my house my younger brothers Dante and Josiah greet me.
" What's up where's Dame?" I ask
" He's been asleep for the past couple of hours." Dante says
" Okay did you eat and did yall feed Josiah?" I ask
" Yeah Dante heated me up some leftovers though you could just made me a separate breakfast meanie?" Josiah says to me
" With your picky ass you probably woulda just told me it's not as good as moms." I replied
" True but the effort would be nice." he says. I push the both of them off me before going to take a shower. While in there Dame wakes up and I go tell him that i'm gonna leave out in a couple of hours.
" Ight i'm leaving I left some money on the counter for you guys to get food pls don't do anything dumb pls." I say before closing the door. I walk to Billy's house seeing an unrecognizable bike in front of his house. Knocking on the door to the house his my greets me.
" Hi Zay first Jason Lee Scott now you is there something I need to know about?" she says skeptically
" Nah just Billy being his charming self as always." I say. With that I walk down the stairs to the basement to see something wrapped around Jason's leg. And this loud beeping sound being shut off.
" How many more things can you do Billy that I'll be surprised to find out." I say as I come down the stairs. " So Scott why?"
" Why what?" he replies with a annoyed look on his face
" Why do something so dumb?" I ask again
" I already get chewed out by my dad about this shit you really think I wanna talk about it to you." he responds clearly over this topic
" Fine just wondering." I say
As soon as I say that Billy walks into the room with a chest that I am all to familiar with.
" Okay you ready to go guys?" He ask sounding the happiest i've heard him in a while
I pretty much sit here silently and help billy put all of his stuff in the van before saying goodbye to his mom and leaving.
For the most part im just in the back listening to Billy ramble as we drive to the quarry. Now it is a restricted area so we have to be careful, however luckily for us Billy already had everything planned out including how to get in undetected.
As Jason and Billy drag the chest to were he wants I kinda zone out a little bit.
" Yeah we'll you see I didn't get the joke I don't understand humor or sarcasm the same way that you do." Billy says
" Oh were on that topic now." I say out loud. " Oh don't mind me it's just interesting to see how people react to the smartest person in the room saying that."
" Anyways I was promised the car so i'm gonna do that now you two have fun." Jason says before walking off.
He does that as me and billy continue to that rock formation. The entire time Billy continues to tell me more about the trips that he and his dad took here. Billy is truly one of the most innocent people in the world and it's nice to be around him.
As we settle down I ask Billy what the plan is here.
" I'm gonna blow into this wall." he says very matter of factly
" Is that why you blew up your lunch box testing explosives?" I ask in less shock than should be had. " Ignoring that what exactly are you blowing the wall up for if you don't mind me asking."
" My dad knew there was something here and im gonna find out what." Billy says confidently
After that I just sit down and watch Billy go to work helping here or there whenever he request. I can hear him having a conversation with his dad as he does this, making me just smile at the uniqueness that is Billy.
" Dad get ready." he says while flipping a switch. However nothing actually happens.
I get up to go check on him but he connects a wire and everything blows up.
Getting up slowly after the explosion I go to check on Billy.
As I slowly walk over to a now standing Billy I see 1 person I can't fully make out and Jason and Kimberly arrive to the scene of the explosion.
" Hey dude i've seen you up here before you can't just go blowing stuff up." he says
" I was just trying to dig a little deeper maybe I dug too deep." Billy says very loud
" Take the coin now." says a voice in my head. I'm just going to assume thats my brain acting up do to damn near being point blank near an explosion.
" Hey this is a restricted area!" Some girl yells from on top of the cliff
As she says that the rock formation crumbles underneath her and she falls down almost immediately.
Stumbling back up to our feet after that and checking on everyone to make sure that their okay. Billy is the first to notice what's been revealed by all the new rubble. And it's a weird formation of rocks.
Inside you can see something glowing while being deeply encased in the rock. Zack immediately decides to pick up the pickaxe and begin smashing into the rocks, despite the numerous protest from everyone else.
As he starts to break off the parts one by one everyone looking on in awe at the rocks. Everyone picks up there own glowing rock.
Bickering begins as the dispute of who found them begins.
" Yeah great I feel like yall forgot that were not supposed to be here lets go now okay." I say as the alarms blare louder.
Everyone runs off in different directions. Me and Jason grab Billy and head back to his mom's van.
Billy runs around to the other side while me and Jason hop into the van. Billy sits outside the passenger door waiting for it to be opened so I reach and open it.
" What are you doing Jason he says getting in?" he ask getting in " Do you see any of the others?"
" No." is the swift reply from Jason.
Jason begins driving away in a way that is quite literally making me question how the hell he got caught and crashed that day.
" You know if you drove like this you wouldn't of got caught." I said.
" You really think now is the time for this Zay?" he asks
" My bad intrusive thought." I reply
We spot Kimberly and the other girl running along a rock formation.
" Billy grab the wheel I'm gonna pull them in." Jason say unhooking his seatbelt.
" Are you dumb that is stupid you want to put Billy behind the wheel." I say " No offense Billy keep driving Jason I'll pull them in."
Jason Drives over to the girls and I open the door. Grabbing them one at a time and pulling them in.
" You okay ladies?" I ask as they shake of the admittedly not so smooth entry into the car
" I'm fine." they both sound off.
" What about that other guy?" Billy asks looking at us
Jason looks back at us for a second pretty much asking for confirmation.
" Just drive." Is the resounding answer
Jason then slams his foot into the ground. He knocks off 1 pillar trapping one truck that was following us closely.
" Whats that." The random girl says while pointing out a window.
The thing in question that she is pointing to is a fucking train going full speed to where were gonna cross.
Meanwhile at the same time the roof dents in as the resident random asian man
" Keep driving, I'll drag his crazy ass in." I say giving Jason the okay to try to beat the train.
" Your a crazy nigga you know that." I say to him
" Yeah." He says with a giant grin on his face.
Jason keeps driving, slamming his foot on the gas trying to beat out the train.
MonDay
Waking up in my bed I jump awake trying to figure out how the hell I'm alive after getting hit by a train last night. I go into the bathroom to see absolutely no signs of damage on my body trying to figure out wtf happened.
I find out from my brother when I finish taking a shower that I came in late and slept all day the next day. All that did is give me more questions as I had absolutely no memory of how I got home.
The realization that it was Monday hit me late in the day as I realized that I have to get to school. I also realized that Dame got both Dante and Josiah both ready and to school I'll have to thank him for that later.
Arriving to school on time despite this I know I need to find everyone who was at that quarry that day. But I decide to start with Billy as I actually know where to find him at any given point. I see Jason and Kim talking to each other.
Choosing not to talk to them I continue to look for Billy. I walk down the hall to see a bully try to headbutt Billy and it goes absolutely bad.
I burst out laughing in the hallway at what happened. And as I am over here having my moment I see all the other reactions that people are having to it.
I walk over to Billy grabbing him and kinda forcing him to walk with me.
" Hey Billy, can you tell me what you remember happening from 2 days ago?" I ask
" I don't know I remember we were at the quarry and we found these coins." he says while pulling out his
" Put that away Billy we gonna go talk to Jason and Kim and i'll see if I can find the other 2 who were up there that night and were gonna go back today." I say grabbing his hand and putting the coin back in his pocket.
After that me and Billy go to our separate classes. I go to my first period class to see the other girl who was there that night.
I walk up to her tapping her on her shoulder.
" Yo I need to talk to you real quick." I say Walking to the back of the classroom.
" What do you want?" she asks
" First hello i'm Zay your Trini, and yes I know who you are despite you keeping a low profile." I say finally putting a name to her face.
" I'm surprised you actually noticed me but what do want?" she questions
" You were in that car you know that none of us should be able to make it to school today if we should even be alive." I say
" Your right what's your point?" she questions
" I'm gonna try to get everyone and go back up there. You should come if you want to know what happened." I say and I can see the intriguing look on her face when I say that.
" Nah i'll pass y'all aren't very good at keeping a low profile in the restricted area." She says
" Well if you change your mind you know where we'll be you obviously have a way to get there. See you around." I say sitting down and taking a nap in class.
I had told Billy I'd come get him when I found Kimberly and Jason. So he was at his usual table chatting it up with the nerds. I see Kimberly walk up and go get Billy from the table and her, Jason and Billy place their coins on the metal surface in the cafeteria.
Luckily no one else sees when there coins start levitating and that the cause the massive heat to the food.
Quickly walking over to them as fast as I can.
" So what did we learn pls keep the shiny objects we aren't supposed to have away from the public view." I said
" Oh there you are Zay." Billy says greeting me
" Billy did you tell them about going back up there to figure this out?" I ask
" We were coming to find you and Billy to do that." Jason replies
" Ok then good I'll get my dads car and drive us if everyone wants to meet up at my house." I say
" Kim you remember where it is, Billy you can just come with me" I say. " And Jason do you wanna come with me and Billy I guess?"
" Yeah I'll do that." he says
" Kim text me when you get close to my house number is still the same." I say about to walk away. " Wait also that other girl might be up there. I talked to her don't know though."
After that we all walk our separate ways and finish the day of school.
Ight thats the first chapter next will be them getting to the command center now I wrestled if I wanted to write through all of these scenes so I'll leave it up to whoever reads this if you don't want me to rewrite all these scenes in as much depth and try to just go through it faster lmk. Also I'll try to make most of the chapters longer probably if I do write through what happened in the movie so I can just make it to my own vision faster but yeah lmk pls
