HELLO FANFIC
This is my very, VERY, VERY first story and I wanted to say that you guys are the best because I grew up reading fanfic, but never had the time or courage to write any of my own, but I do love all of yours. I will also be writing on my phone (I don't have a laptop ) and updates will be random because I have a life, work, kids, and on and on. TBH I suck at this and hope that you guys take the time and read mine, if not, that's ok. This is fanfiction. If there's any errors or spellcheck, let me know. And so, let us relax and begin the story.
Oh right, I don't own any of the fallouts or halos. They belong to their creators, Bethesda and Bungie. Just my OCS I owned. Thanks and with that out of the way. Enjoy.
Narrator Pov
"Good to see you, Spartan. Catherine assured me I could count on you" Six looks down for a second, remembering his team's sacrifice.
"Not just me, sir," was his response.
"They'll be remembered." Keyed promised, putting a comforting hand on his shoulder.
As Keyes turned, he spotted a Covenant cruiser heading straight for the Pillar of Autumn.
"Cruiser. Adjusting heading for the Autumn." Keyes radioed.
"Noble Four, I need fire on that cruiser or we're not getting out of here. Do you copy?"
"You'll have your window, sir." Emilie assures him.
Keyes step on the platform of the pelican, he radios the Autumn.
"Bridge, this is the captain, we have the package. Returning to the Autumn, over?"
"Copy that."
After making contact with the Autumn, they were about to depart when a Covenant Phantom came in firing down one of the pelicans that was hovering in the air, then headed towards where Emilie was firing the cannon. Six tried to get an aim on them only for the Phantom to begin to open fire on their turret at him. Forcing Six to get cover and watch helplessly as they drop their elite Zealots on top of him.
Emilie let out a war cry then fired off his shotgun, then bursting out from his seat, shoving his shotgun in the Zealot's mouth that fell on top of him, killing it.
Emilie aggressively asked," Who's next?"
Not long after, another Zealot came behind and impaled him with its energy sword.
"I'M READY" Emilie shouted before stabbing his Kukri in the neck of the Zealot holding him, then dragging Emilie down with it," HOW BOUT YOU?!" Were Emilie's last words.
"Lieutenant! Get aboard! We gotta get the hell outta here!"
At this moment, Six knew what he had to do.
"Negative. I have the gun. Good luck, sir."
Captain Keyes looked on with regret that he was losing another spartan.
"Good luck to you, Spartan."
Noble Six didn't have much left to lose. After taking down the cruiser, he watches the Pillar of Autumn leave, he armed himself and begins to make his last stand at an abandoned outpost. He found 7 other spartans on the way and they too began to make their last stand with him. One of them he grew and trained with was Spartan B311, during their days training on Onyx. They were born on the same home planet, Jericho VII. B311 was like Jun, Noble Three, a sharp marksman and assassin.
August 30, 2552
At the outpost, B311 and Nate, Noble Six, were exchanging layout battle grounds for the upcoming Covenant as more banshees and dropships flew by.
"Well…" B311 said, looking straight ahead, eyeing a couple of grunts and elites being deployed from their ships. "I guess this is it," Six said, turning to look where the Covenant were deploying their soldiers," Think we'll be meeting them soon, our families?"
"I don't know..." B311 then turned to face him," But there's only one way to find out."
As B311 reaches for a MA37 assault rifle, Six turns around towards the M247H machine gun ripping it off from its hold," 600 rounds, that's about it, as for my M392 rifle, 128 left, and mag 12." B311 looks at Six and hands him two clips for the Magnum, and says," I would say you really NEED to save your ammo, but it doesn't really matter right now."
Grunts and jackals were the first to be deployed with a few elites. Nathan B312, B311, and the other six spartans set up their defenses and ready their weapons.
"Remember Reach, brothers and sisters."

"War never changes…" Nate said after wiping the mirror. His wife Nora comes in behind him," You're gonna knock 'em dead at the Veterans Hall tonight, hon."
"You think?" He says, raising an eyebrow at his wife and a charming grin that she loves.
"Absolutely. Now get ready and stop hogging the mirror…" She says playfully.
"Right." As he begins to shave his morning studs and combs his black hair. After finishing, Nora takes over the mirror to apply her makeup and finishing touches to her brown hair.
Nate leaves the bathroom, heading towards the kitchen where a domestic-model Mister Handy named Codsworth greeted him."Ah, good morning, sir! Your coffee. 173.5 degree Fahrenheit. Brewed to perfection!"
Nate takes a sip from the coffee that was sitting on the counter." And today's newspaper, just delivered!"
"Thanks, Codsworth." Nate finds the newspaper on the other side of the counter and reads. Thinking back on how they decided to purchase a Mister Handy, Nora was nervous at first, but she eventually warmed up to the idea. "Of course, sir!"
As he read, it wasn't long until he got halfway through the paper," Hmm…more of the same…" He says, shaking his head.
A cry of a baby is heard, Nate prepares to attend to his infant son, but Codsworth beats him to it. "Ah, sounds like someone made a stinky! I should attend to young Shaun."
"You know I was nervous at first, but Codsworth's really good with Shaun." Nora said, chuckling then their doorbell rings, "Could you get that? It's probably that salesman. He comes for you everyday." She is annoyed by the salesman coming by every once in a while.
Nate walks to the front opening it and sees a man in a yellow trench coat and a clipboard," Good morning, Vault-Tec Calling." Confused, Nate heard a little about Vault-Tec, "Vault-Tec? Remind me again."
" Why we're about you, sir! And helping secure your future. You see, Vault-Tec is the foremost builder-of-the-state-art fallout underground shelter." He explains.
"Vaults. If you will. Luxury accommodations, where you can wait out the horrors of nuclear devastation." After the details of the Vault-Tec, the man seems happily relieved " You can't begin to know how happy I am to finally speak with you. I've been trying for days. It's a matter of utmost urgency. I assure you."
"Well, I'm here now." Nate said sarcastically.
"So you are, so you are," he said as he went over the paper he brought along with him. " Now, I know you're a busy fellow, so I won't take too much of your time. Time being a, um, precious commodity…" He clears his throat to prepare his next speech, " I am here today to tell you that because of your family's service to our country, you have been pre-selected for entrance into the local Vault. Vault 111." Nate then asks, as a father and devoted husband, "But there's room for my entire family, right?"
"Of course, of course. Minus your robot, naturally. In fact, you're already cleared for entrance. It's just a matter of verifying some information. Don't want there to be any hold ups, in the unforeseen…" the salesman clears his throat and finishes off his sentences, "total atomic annihilation. Won't take but a moment."
It's a pity Nate can't bring Codsworth with them, but it's Vault-Tec's rules.
"Sure, let's do it." Wanting this to be over and done with. Happily relieved, the salesman began to give the clipboard and pen to Nate to fill out his information," Splendid, splendid! Now let's see…"
After filling out the registration form the salesman looks over to be sure that everything is filled out correctly, " Wonderful! That's… everything… Just gonna walk this over to the Vault! Congratulations on being prepared for the future!" That was weird is what Nate thought, " Um, thanks again."
" Hey," Nora's voice brought him back, " it's a peace of mind. That's worth a little paperwork, right?"
Nate smiles gently at her, "For you and Shaun, no price is too high." As he sits, Nate puts his arm around Nora and relaxes as they watch the news only for the sound of crying that Shaun can be heard when Codsworth floats into the living room. "Sir. Shaun has been changed, but he absolutely refuses to calm down. I think he needs some of that "parental affection" you seem to be so good at."
"You heard Codsworth, go on," Nora ordered as Nate got up and headed to their son's room. Shaun stops crying and begins cooing as soon as Nate plays with him.
" How are the two most important men in my life doing?" Ask Nora, as she leans against the door frame, "Spin the mobile a bit. He loves that."
Nate then spins the mobile as it plays its lullaby, Shaun giggles and begins to wave his little hands as if he was trying to reach the rockets as they spin in circles above him. " Hey, how's my little guy? Much better right, huh?"
"Listen, after breakfast, I was thinking we could head to the park for a bit. Weather should hold up." A thought comes to Nate and begins to think if they go, Shaun might get a little sibling.
" Oh, will it be like that night in the park, a year ago?" He says playfully.
"Sir! Mum! You should come and see this!" Codsworth calls them from the living room. "Codsworth? What's wrong?" Nora asks concerning as she gently picks up Shaun. Nate walks into the living room as the news on the TV begins as a terrifying anchorman reads his papers, "Followed by… yes followed by flashes. Blinding flashes. Sounds of explosions… We're… we're trying to get confirmation…" flipping through his reports, he continues, "But we seem to have lost contact with our infiltrate stations…" Nora joins him and Codsworth in the living room with Shaun in her arms," Wait, what did he just say?" Believing she misheard him, " We do have… coming in…confirmed reports, I repeat, confirmed reports of nuclear detonations in New York and Pennsylvania. "
"My God." Then the screen was cut.
"We need to get to the Vault. Now!" Nate ordered, " I got Shaun. Let's go!" Wishing that the Vault could accept Mister Handy, Nate said his goodbye, "Codsworth! Stay safe, bubby." Appreciate his master's comforting words," You as well, Sir."
As Nate run out, the air siren went off as the people in the neighborhood began to run to the nearby Vault only to be stop by the soldiers at the gate, " IF YOU'RE IN THE PROGRAM, STEP FORWARD OTHERWISE RETURN HOME." Yell one of the soldiers that is in power armor.
Nate steps forward to the officer, "We need to get in. We're on the list." The officer reviewed the paperwork that Nate filled out earlier with the Vault-Tec salesman, " Infant… Adult male… Adult female… Ok, go ahead." As he makes way for them, " Thank you," Nora said.
" You too, ma'am. God help us all." A vault security was waiting for them, " You two follow me." Seeing that their neighbors were being turned away, Nora asked, " What's going to happen to those people outside the gates?"
The security answers assure her, "We're doing everything we can! Now keep moving!" Guiding them to the platform of their other neighbors that are approved for Vault 111.
"Step on the platform! In the center!" Yelled the instructions of the vault security.
"Almost there. We're gonna be ok. I love you. Both of you." Nate said as he looked at both his wife and infant child.
"We love you too." All of a sudden, there was a bright light that went off in the distance, the sound of an explosion,"OH MY GOD!" Cried out Nora as she cradled their son, looking towards where the atomic bomb was dropped.
"HOLD ON!" Nate yelled out as one of the vault security personnel ordered to send the platform down. Then the light started to fade slowly instead, sending radioactive winds in its stead as they descended into the vault in darkness.
"We did it. We made it. We're ok…,"said a terrifying Nora.
"Everyone, please step off the elevator and proceed up the stairs in an orderly fashion," one of the vault security said as the overseer tried to calm everyone down," No need to worry folks. We'll get everyone situated in your new home. Vault 111! A better future… Underground."
If you reach the end, I will try and make the next chapter as long as possible. So that's that and thank you for reading my prolonged chapter. Later.
