"Before we leave I want to gift a portion of our power to two people worthy. If that's okay with you Ashura." Indra said as he looked at his brother.
"Of course older brother. After all eventually our positions will have to be fulfilled by someone else." Ashura nodded in agreement with Indra.
"For me I've had my eye on this one boy for a while. His name is Sasuke Uchiha. I can see that he will be something special in the future, but he will indeed go through many bad hardships." Indra said as brought up an image of Sasuke. He was still an innocent and pure young boy. Full of smiles and life, but they could tell that wouldn't last long. Such was the harsh way of life.
"I agree with you older brother. I can see that he will be very special and a prodigy in the future. He's a great candidate." Ashura approved.
"Don't let me down..Sasuke Uchiha." Indra snapped his fingers and transferred a portion of his power to him. It will permanently be his and he can make it stronger and use it to grow. "What about you brother?" He asked.
"I've also had my eye on a boy for sometime. His name is Naruto Uzumaki. He's a Faunus and an orphan. He will be exceptional and excellent in the future." Ashura said as he pulled up an image of Naruto. Naruto was walking the streets alone and was looking downcast about something.
"What he's feeling now will build him into a stronger and capable warrior. He's a great choice Ashura." Indra nodded in approval.
"Thank you older brother. I hope to see how far you progressed..Naruto Uzumaki." Ashura then snapped his fingers and sent a portion of his power to Naruto. Just like with Sasuke, the power will permanently be his and he could grow and expand it.
"You ready to go now older brother?" Ashura asked Indra.
Indra nodded. "Yes. Let's make haste. I hope they do us proud." He finished and the two brother Gods left. Maybe to return one day in the future.
-Present Time-
"I hunted some fish for us Naruto. Did you get the fire started?" Sasuke asked as he placed his wooden handmade bow down.
A sound was heard and the noise of crackling fire was heard after. "Done and done Sasuke." Naruto said with a smile.
Sasuke glanced into the fire and suddenly had a reminiscing expression. He still remember that specific moment. He also remembered when he first met Naruto.
-Flashback-
A younger Sasuke was playing with other children from his clan.
"He looks so happy don't he Fugaku." Mikoto said and smiled as she leaned on her husband.
"He does." Fugaku grinned himself at his youngest son. "Hopefully these times last forever." He said.
Such an optimistic and positive phrase
But unfortunately life didn't agree with it as the next day a horrible tragedy happened.
A tragedy that made his clan go extinct forever except for him..he was the last survivor.
He remembered sometime after it happened he actually met Naruto.
A younger Naruto could be seen crouched down with his hands over his head. He grunted and groaned in pain as he was punched and kicked.
"Fight back Faunus brat fight back!!" One of the bullies yelled at him as he continued kicking him.
"Haha he's too weak to do anything." Another one of the bullies laughed and continued punching Naruto.
"Leave him alone."
The bullies turned as they heard a cold and monotone voice.
Naruto himself opened his eyes with much surprise as he looked at the newcomer.
It was a boy around his age of five. He had raven black hair and onyx black eyes. He had on a black sweater and gray shorts. It was bandages around his shins and he had on black sandals.
He looked to be very livid at the bullies.
"Oh look it seems we got a hero and savior on our hands guys." One of the bullies laughed.
"I will count to three. If you all are not gone when I get to three..let's just say don't let me count to three." The boy said as his eyes narrowed.
"Let's beat this cocky punk guys." One of the bullies said as he cracked his knuckles.
"One." The boy started.
"Let's go guys!" The bullies then started to run towards the boy.
"Two." The boy continued as he finger twitched.
"You're dead!!" One of the bullies shot a punch at the boy.
"Three." The boy said as he took a step.
Once the boy counted to three all of bullies dropped on the ground, knocked out. Naruto didn't know what happened, the only thing he saw was a flash of blue.
The boy scoffed then turned to Naruto. His face expression softened and then he started to approach him. Naruto held his hands up in a 'guarded' manner. He didn't know the boy's intentions.
"Don't worry..I won't hurt you. My name is Sasuke Uchiha what's yours?" The now named Sasuke held his hand to him.
Naruto was shocked at the gesture, but grabbed Sasuke's hand and was pulled to his feet.
"..Naruto..Naruto Uzumaki." Naruto hesitated as he said his name.
"Naruto huh? I like your tails..they're cool. What kind of Faunus are you?" Sasuke asked curiosity.
Naruto tilted his head in confusion. "..I'm a Kyubi." He answered.
Sasuke grinned. "Nice. I've never heard of or met a Kyubi Faunus before..how about we be friends?"
A smile began to make its way on Naruto's face. "Really?!" He yelled.
Sasuke winced. "Yeah, just watch the loudness." He said.
The smile Naruto made could've brightened the darkest of places. He ran and hugged Sasuke tightly. "Thank you!!" He yelled again.
And that began their brotherhood and they've been traveling with each other ever since.
-Flashback End-
"You okay Sasuke? You've been looking at that fire for a couple minutes." Naruto said. As he gave a slight look of concern.
"Yeah..Yeah just was thinking for a second. L-" Sasuke was interrupted by a loud piercing scream.
His eyes and Naruto's immediately narrowed. They picked up their weapons and nodded to each other. They immediately ran to where they heard the scream coming from.
