Witch in the woods

August 12, 1998

There is a stone cottage in Wyre Forest. If you happen to stumble upon it by chance, the cottage looks abandoned. Holes in the roof, the glass in the windows shattered, and dried vines of Wisteria taking over the whole house. The big meadow surrounding the house is completely overgrown with weeds and dead plants. The feeling of dread and despair is going to make you turn around and never look back.
But if you have an invitation, you'll feel the smell of honeysuckle and lavender. The wisteria flowering beautifully, framing the small windows, and the pale green door of the beautiful two-story stone cottage.

The meadow is buzzing with all kinds of pollinators looking for nectar in the ocean of wildflowers. Birds are singing, it's as if you just entered a fairy tale.
In the shadows of a big pine tree, a small female roe deer is resting peacefully, not at all bothered or scared of the human living in the house.

Behind the house is a big greenhouse filled with everything from vegetables to exotic fruits, magical plants, and herbs. It connects with an old barn that has been rebuilt into a studio and a potion lab.

On the left side of the house towers a big willow tree with a swing dangling from one of the lower branches, and a stone bench circles the wide trunk of the big tree.

Basking in the afternoon sun is a big orange half-kneazle. Dozing on the bench, its ears twitching every now and then.
