[Author's Note : This is going to be my first try at a Sherlock Holmes and Harry Potter Crossover. Please enjoy and tell me what you think. One shot.]

Harriet Jasmine Potter was just fourteen when she found out that James Potter wasn't exactly her father well biologically but her father was actually the famous consultant detective, Sherlock Holmes. She had been shocked at the time to learn the truth and Griphook told her that they her parents' wills and they basically explained a few things.

Although, she wondered if Albus Dumbledore knew about who her real father was and she had wondered if her real father even knew that she existed.

However, with the second Magical war over with; she thought it was time to actually see him now that she was at least twenty years old. She had found out where he lived and decided to pay him a visit.

Baker Street 221B...

Dr. John Watson noticed that Sherlock Holmes had some pictures of couple with a baby girl then there were just pictures of the girl.

"Sherlock, who are those people?" John asked curiously.

"A couple that I had helped and they sent me pictures of their daughter to let me know how she was doing." Sherlock said not wanting to let John know what he really did to help the couple at the time.

Suddenly, there was a knock on their door.

"Come in." Sherlock said.

"Mr. Holmes, there's a young woman here to see you." Mrs. Hudson said.

"Send her on up, would you?" Sherlock said.

"Of course, Mr. Holmes." Mrs. Judson said.

Moments later, a young woman of twenty years old walked through the door that had Dr. John Watson looking from the young woman back to Sherlock several times.

"Hello, Mr. Holmes. It's nice to finally meet you without difficulties." The young woman said.

"Likewise, Lady Potter or would you prefer that I call you, Ms. Potter?" Sherlock asked.

John was in shock to hear the name Potter because he had heard of the Potters and that they died tragically but their only daughter survived the tragic event.

"Either one is fine, Mr. Holmes because you were a dear friend to my parents." The young woman said.

Sherlock deducted that Miss Potter was aware of the truth; but he also deducted that she doesn't want to reveal it unless he was okay with it.

"My condolences, Lady Potter. I understand that they had died tragically." Sherlock said.

"No, Mr. Holmes. They were murdered in front of me and certain things were kept from me; I wasn't aware of that you were their friend until I was fourteen." Harriet said.

Sherlock was wide eyed at hearing this. Considering that papers had gotten the deaths of Lily and James completely wrong. That Sherlock said, "Lady Potter, tell me everything in order to catch me up."

John was stunned to learn that Sherlock Holmes had been friends with the late Lord and Lady Potter.

"Of course, Mr. Holmes" Harriet said.

So, John sat in his chair and listened to the story that Heiress Potter told him and Sherlock. When Harriet finished telling them her complete story; John seemed to notice that Sherlock seemed distraught or was it upset by what Miss Potter had told them about her parents.

However, before John could ask Sherlock if he was okay; Lestraide entered and said,"Holmes, I need your help on a..." he trailed off when he saw the young woman who was sitting down on Sherlock's sofa and Sherlock was sitting in his chair looking like he was disturbed or something.

Harriet looked at Lestraide and asked curiously, "Do you always burst into the room looking like you've run a marathon?"

Sherlock chuckled at that suddenly.

Lestraide blinked at what the young woman had said and was about to say something when she said, "You're Detective Inspector, Greg Lestraide. You work for Scotland Yard and often ask Sherlock Holmes for help with a case that has you completely stumped and in need of his expertise on it. Something tells me that this case seems very odd to you and you don't know what to make of it."

John nearly spilt his tea ad he was pouring a cup at hearing Miss Potter almost sounding like Sherlock.

Lestraide was shocked at how quickly the young woman deducted those things and said, "Sherlock, when did you have a daughter?!" looking at Sherlock.

John noticed that Sherlock was actually smiling at seeing Miss Potter using his methods of deduction. Then Sherlock said, "Lestraide, I was merely friends with Lady Potter's parents and she deducted that all on her own."

"Wait! Did you just say Lady Potter, Sherlock?!" Lestraide said in shock.

"I did." Sherlock said, "Why?"

"Well, there's a redheaded young man and a young woman with bushy looking hair looking for her." Lestraide stated.

Sherlock noticed immediately that Harriet's eyes did the exact same thing his did when he was in a distrusting mood as did John.

"Lady Potter, something tells me that when Lestraide described those two people just now that you do like them." Sherlock stated.

Harriet didn't answer.

Lestraide looked at Lady Potter and sure enough she looked like she was irritated by the description of the two people that he had described.

"What? Did I say something wrong?" Lestraide asked Sherlock and John suddenly.

"Apparently, the two in which you described, Lestraide; did something that has caused Lady Potter not to trust them." Sherlock stated.

"You're correct, Mr. Holmes." Harriet finally stated.

Sherlock, John, and Greg looked at her.

"Care to explain, Ms. Potter?" John asked curiously.

"Simple really, they were part of a scheme in order to try and still the Potter Family fortune by trying to create a marriage contract between myself and the man that had married the bushy haired woman. They had once been friends but are no longer." Harriet stated, "Besides, they are not aware of my true father. Even though, Lord Potter raised me as his daughter; my real father was safe from those who would try to harm him."

"Who is your real father?" Lestraide questioned.

Harriet looked at Lestraide and said, "You figure it out, Lestraide. I have a meeting with the Queen in fifteen minutes."

John and Lestraide were stunned to hear that.

"I take it that her Majesty has asked you to take up a job of great importance?" Sherlock said.

Harriet smiled and said, "Something like that but it seems that Lestraide needs your help on a case; so be careful and don't fake your death again, Sherlock Holmes because I don't think that I could even handle that again."

John and Lestraide watched as Miss Potter left then turned to Sherlock who seemed amused.

"What did she mean by that, Sherlock?" Lestraide said.

"Apparently, I made a mistake and didn't realize that faking my death would affect people especially her." was all Sherlock said.

"Why would it affect Lady Potter?" John asked curiously.

Sherlock looked at John and said, "John, you recall that she wasn't aware of myself until she was fourteen and now she's in her twenties. So, basically it has been six years and waited to see me; however, if you haven't figured out yet, John then why should I tell you?"

John blinked and wondered what had gotten into Sherlock. At that moment, they all heard something going on outside. Sherlock immediately ran out the door followed by him and Lestraide.

"We found you, Harriet." The man said.

"I will not return with you! I have a meeting with the Queen!" Harriet said.

Sherlock immediately pulled out his gun ready to fire; when he saw Lady Potter literally flip the guy on his back which had John and Lestraide gaping in shock

"Harriet?!" The bushy haired woman said.

"You don't know me!" Harriet said.

"Yes, we do! You're our friend!" Hermione said.

"Friend?! Was I really your and his friend or was I just someone that you felt entitled to keep under control!" Harriet said.

"What are you talking about, Harri?" Ron asked.

Sherlock was grinning because as he watched what was happening that he put his gun away.

John and Lestraide were completely shocked to see Sherlock smiling well he was technically grinning. They wondered why until they heard Lady Potter say, "Your actions say otherwise."

Harriet immediately rattled off her deductions about the two people that she had once called friends. Which had Ron and Hermione wide eyed at everything that she said.

When she had finished, Lestraide immediately decided that these two were to be arrested and taken to jail immediately.

Harriet watched as Lestraide arrested them and took them away. Sherlock stood next to her and asked, "Are you okay, Harriet?"

Harriet sighed and said, "Somewhat. I am just sorry that they made a scene."

"I'm not. For it just goes to show that they were still greedy for your family fortune." Sherlock stated.

Harriet giggled and said, "James Potter was a father to me. However, I am my father's daughter and I mean my biological father. Oh and Dr. Watson a young lady is approaching."

Sherlock chuckled as he watched his secret daughter walk off again.

"Huh?" John said.
