Before the founding of the Hallowed Throne of Torcavis, the Thrangrals were in a state of constant warfare on the Crystal forests of their homeworld. What little occasions of peace they did get did not last very long. One such occasion would've led to a different outcome for the Thrangrals' future. In the nation state of Othya, King Gushmad vol-Vithu had brokered a peace between Othya and its neighbors bringing an end to a global war that lasted for one hundred-fifty years.
Gushmad had brought about reforms in an attempt to prevent another global war from happening. He even sent humanitarian aid to help the people in Othya and its neighboring countries recover from the damage caused by one hundred-fifty years of constant fighting. Othya and its neighboring countries formed an alliance akin to the United Nations on Earth. Just when it seemed like peace was about to come to Torcavis, another war was about to be around the corner. What makes this next war tragic, was the fact that it could've been prevented.
Gushmad, was attacked and killed by a group of religious extremists called the Blood Crystal Cult. These extremists worshiped war and destruction, under the impression that war makes the Thrangrals stronger. They broke into the Royal Palace in Odonbus (Odonbus is the capital city of Othya which will become the Hallowed Throne of Torcavis's capital city), slipped past the security systems and killed most of the guards. One guard in particular, Adamas vol-Dhukatyehar fought the intruders and protected the king to the best of his abilities. Gushmad sees a sniper aiming for Adamas. He rushes towards Adamas, pushing the young guard out of the way, taking the gunshot which ended his life. Adamas watched in horror as the king who he was supposed to protect died right in front of him. Before he could even react, he was knocked out.
While Adamas was unconscious he had a vision of Rhidite, the All-Life God telling him that Torcavis was in danger. The Blood Crystal Cult's assassination of King Gushmad vol-Vithu was the beginning of the Blood Crystal Cult's attempt at making a "Forever War" and that they have taken over multiple countries on Torcavis. Rhidite tells Adamas that he and his descendants are chosen to guide the Thrangrals' future and to stop the Blood Crystal Cult.
When Adamas woke up, he was in a hospital. The doctor broke the news to Adamas that he was the only survivor of the attack and that Gushamad died without an heir. The doctor also called in a Priest of Rhidite after witnessing a mark of Rhidite appear on Adamas's hand. The priest arrived a few minutes later and after examining Adamas he believed that Rhidite had chosen Adamas as a herald. A mark of Adamas would appear on someone if Rhidite has a special purpose for them. Adamas tells the priest the details of the vision.
Othya's religion is Rhidism which worships Rhidite where sixty-five percent of the nation's population practices. After the funeral of Gushmad and once Adamas has completely recovered from his injuries. Due to Gushmad dying without an heir, debate has sparked over who should take the throne. Another attack by the Blood Crystal Cult occurred on Odonbus in an attempt to destroy the ruling council. Adamas rallied the military to help him stop them. After Adamas successfully stops the Blood Crystal Cult from taking over Othya, Adamas was appointed as king. Within days similar attacks committed by the Blood Crystal Cult happened in many countries across Torcavis. Information that the Blood Crystal Cult was backed by several countries that have been at war with Othya in the past was received. This was the beginning of the Holy Unification War.
Adamas declared war on the countries that have been suspected of helping the Blood Crystal Cult. One such country was Xutra. Xutra and Othya have been bitter rivals in the past. Xutra has kidnapped and enslaved the people of Othya in the past. Its leader Premier Gharm zil-Rubra hated Gushmad, seeing him and the people of Othya as weak. Xutra received the most brutal of Othya's attacks. Adamas has decided to enslave the people of Xutra as penance for enslaving the people of Othya. In Adamas's view, Xutra has enslaved the people of Othya and it was only fitting for Othya to do the same to Xutra. Adamas has divided the Othyan military into two groups. One was to eliminate any Xutran military forces, the second group was to capture the Premier. This forced Gharm zil-Rubra to flee in his own country no doubt leaving him humiliated and enraged. After five years of fighting, Othya conquered Xutra with fifty percent of Xutra's population becoming slaves. Gharm zil-Rubra was among the enslaved populace.
Over the next four centuries, similar events to what happened at Xutra started becoming more and more commonplace which involved the conquered country's population becoming slaves. Around this time, a cult that worships Adamas vol-Dhukatyehar has formed from within the high ranks of Othya's military. Slaver guilds started receiving grants from Adamas to manage the enslaved population. Eventually the Holy Unification War ended at the Battle of Damu Island where Adamas authorized a nuclear weapon to be dropped to wipe out the leaders of the Blood Crystal Cult.
The Blood Crystal Cult had been severely crippled by Adamas and the military's actions. Most of them are dead from battle or executions. The survivors are either enslaved or imprisoned. The Blood Crystal Cult's reign of terror has ended. Now Othya has most of Torcavis under its banner.
Adamas decided to establish a global government, and Othya's allies decided to join in. Othya, its allies and conquered territories were all absorbed and the Hallowed Throne of Torcavis was born. Adamas has decided to adopt the title of God-Emperor. Now with all of Torcavis under his control Adamas started to look to the stars. However, Adamas knew that he would not be the one to do that. The Thrangral life expectancy is about five hundred-thirty years and Adamas was getting older. The job of leading the Thrangrals to the stars would fall to his son Akuzgin. Over the next several decades Adamas began investing in the Torcavisite space program and teaching his son how to be the next God-Emperor. Adamas had passed on shortly after Xagsiaft's Starbase had been built, passing the title of God-Emperor onto Akuzgin. Akuzgin promises his father that he will guide his people to the stars, spread the word of Rhidite, and that he won't let him down.
Author's Note: It has been a while since I last posted something related to fanfictions. I'm not going to lie I lost inspiration for some time. Hopefully it'll stick with me this time.
