Enjoying the bright and sunny day, was none other than a bright, and cheerful earth pony by the name of Lilly Blossom. How she enjoyed walking through the sunny streets of Ponyville, with a spring in her step and a song in her heart. Passing the bustling of market ponies and eyeing all the delicious market goods they were selling, Lilly Blossom couldn't help but catch the eye of a strange presence lurking in the shadows, every pony knew the Everfree Forest was not far in that direction, and after what had happened to Princess Twilight, and the events of the long lost ruler Princess Amara's spirt having haunted the place, no pony had been brave enough to step hoove into it since, so she found it odd there was some pony present. Curious, she cautiously reared away from the market, slowly approaching, her eyes scanning the dark corners of her surroundings for any sign of further movement. To her surprise and shock, a pair of glowing crimson eyes emerged from the darkness, which caused a chill to run down Lilly's spine, freezing her movements completely, as her brain screamed signals at her to run. The figure revealed its self, catching her off guard to see a dark alicorn, its appearance contrasting sharply with the vibrant colors of the Ponyville Town.
With its jet - black coat and fiery crimson mane, she could see how it could have been mistakened for a bat, had the alicorn not stood up from its spot behind the dark bushes outside the forest. How the dark alicorn seemed to tower over Lily, it's presence exuding an unsettling mix of power and malice. Lily's heart raced as she struggled to find her voice, uttering out a couple squeaks laced with fear before she finally found the words. ''W-who are you?'' she managed to stammer, her voice trembling. The dark alicorn flashed an eerie smile at her, its voice dripping with malevolence as it replied. ''My name is Shadowfall, I am the harbinger of darkness. Not to be mistaken with the Shadow Weaver, I have come to claim this town as my own, as well as every living pony or creature who resides in it. Starting with you.''
Lily Blossom's whole body shivered as the icy tendrils of fear crept up her spine. She could feel the weight of the alicorn's words pressing down on her, threatening to crush her spirit. But deep within her, a spark of courage ignited. She refused to let this darkness consume Ponyville and its inhabitants. With a determined gulp, she straightened her posture, trying to project a confidence she wasn't quite feeling in that moment. "You may be the harbinger of darkness, but I believe in the power of light and love," Lily declared, her voice gaining strength. "Ponyville is a place of harmony, and we won't let you take that away from us."
The dark alicorn let out a sinister laugh, a sound that echoed through the still night air. "You think your feeble light can stand against my might?" it sneered, its eyes glowing with wicked enchantment. ''As fun as this is, I don't have time for it.'' Before Lily could find the words to strike back at the dark alicorn, Shadowfall, she was instantly kneeled over by the overwhelming pain that coursed through her, it didn't take long till she felt cool, sticky, blood dripping down from the wound in her chest, instantly drenching her coat, as her eyes became lifeless.
''Stupid little pony..'' Shadowfall chuckled, as he threw the heart as hard as he could to the ground.
