"Okay but how the fuck does that solve our problem?!" Suzaku demanded.
"He gave you the advantage of knowledge," C.C. replied. "Capitalize on it."
"My mom..." Vivian muttered. "I killed her..."
The wing-shaped crest on C.C.'s forehead began to glow. "No, you didn't! It was I who killed you—in the first world."
"...you don't look like her, not one bit," Vivian spat at C.C.
"You wanna test who I am?!" a vacant-eyed C.C. shot back. "I was Noel in the first world. We were on the run from the Krypteia, the reclamation police that replaced the Zero Squadron."
"Noel Tyndall?!" Vivian demanded.
"No. You chose that woman as your mom in the next world. She was generated entirely from your imagination. But your mind sought comfort in names that sounded familiar to you."
"I..." Vivian replied, stammering.
"You confused Riki for your dad because they looked similar," Noel added. "His name was Hazama, and all we ever wanted was freedom. He secured it for us—at the cost of selling you!"
"STOP!" Vivian shouted.
"I never wanted that for you! The time has come for you to return home. Open the Nemesis Horizon!"
"AH!" Vivian began protractedly screaming. "What about my family on THIS planet?!"
She began hovering.
"You have made the mistake of thinking you had a choice," C.C. added. "But they'll live."
The base's power fizzed out again.
"Lux Sanctus initialized," Vivian monotonously declared.
Thence she blasted a gaping chasm into the roof of the laboratory.
A blue glow permeated the night sky. Black clouds overcast parted to reveal an approaching otherworldly machine.
"The Izanagi System, named after my father," C.C. commented. "Phenomenon intervention by Observers draws it near. And I am its pilot."
Suzaku charged at C.C. with open hands as if to choke her.
A sword materialized out of emptiness, and tossed him back to the wall in the supine position, cutting his right arm away.
"SHIT!"
The city began to experience a tremor. The machine began to emit a glow.
"I think I can speak for every human present when I say this makes me feel uninformed," Lloyd noted, narrowing his eyelids at the machine in scrutiny.
Vivian ascended towards the machine, a flash followed by a suit of armor encasing her.
"C.C.... why..." Suzaku muttered.
