And a very merry chrismas to all
…
…
The Grinch opened his eyes and he saw that The Wolf had brought him to a graveyard. There was an eerie fog around the graveyard that made it even more creepy than it already was.
"Wh-where are we?" The Grinch asked nervously.
"Your Christmas future," The Wolf answered.
"Well, I don't mean to tell you about your job, but I think you've got the wrong Holiday," The Grinch told him as he looked around the graveyard "Because this place has more of a Halloween vibe to it."
"Well, it is your future Grinch," The Wolf told him sternly before noticing something which made him smirk, "And it looks like we're right on time."
Then the Grinch saw Lincoln and his little sister Lily looking at a grave, but the rest of The Loud family wasn't with them. The Grinch and The Wolf approached them.
"Who's the sorry sap that's taking a dirt nap?" The Grinch asked.
"Why don't you see for yourself," The Wolf said pointing at the grave.
The Grinch looked at the grave and when the fog moved away it revealed that it was his own grave. The Grinch was shocked and horrified seeing this and then listened to what Lincoln was saying.
"Mr. Grinch never had a family or friends in that matter," Lincoln told his little sister, "But maybe now he'll finally get what he's always wanted. To be alone with his money forever."
Hearing that didn't make The Grinch feel comfortable, "Surely I did some good for others, right? I mean I provided them with gainful employment."
"The Grinch tried to leave the store to himself in his will, which of course is illegal," Lincoln continued "And because of that The Lucky Green has been shut down and we are all out of jobs."
"Gainful employment, huh?" The Wolf repeated as The Grinch facepalmed himself.
"But now, for the first time in years, we can all spend Christmas with our families," Lincoln finished as he placed the flowers on the grave, "Goodbye Mr. Grinch or as you like to say Bah Humbug."
Lincoln and Lily left the grave as The Grinch and The Wolf turned back to it. The Grinch was scared after seeing that he's gonna end up alone with no friends, family or loved ones.
"How far into the future are we?" The Grinch asked nervously, "And... how did I die?"
"We are one year into the future," The Wolf explained and grabbed his scythes, "And as for how you died, well that's easy... I ended it."
"Wait, WHAT?!" The Grinch exclaimed in shock and horror.
"That's right! You see, I'm not just The Ghost of Christmas Future. I'm far more than that," The Wolf explained as he slowly crept up to The Grinch "I'm more than just a Ghost or a Phantom or even a Spirit I. Am. Death!"
When The Grinch heard that his heart began to beat very fast, and his green fur began to stand up. He was horrified to know that he's not just facing a Ghost, he was facing the living embodiment of Death itself.
"And I don't mean it metaphorically or rhetorically or poetically or theoretically or in any other fancy way. I'm Death! Straight! Up!" Death said in a menacing tone, "And I've come for you Senor Grinch!"
"But I'm still alive," The Grinch said fearfully.
"You know I may not look or sound like it but I'm a Christmas guy," Death told him, "And I find the very idea of people ruining Christmas just because of their own hatred for the Holiday absurd!" he explained as he pointed his Scythe at The Grinch, "And you are the very definition of it. So why don't I do us a favor and take your life? Now?"
"No! No! No! No! No !NO! Please! Don't do this please!" The Grinch pleaded as he got on his knees and begged Death to spare his life, "I don't wanna end up alone! I can change! Please give me a second chance!"
Before Death could say anything, he noticed something and the same goes for The Grinch. It was Lily heading back towards the grave with a plate of cookies.
"Mr. Grinch, I know everyone hated you, but I never hated you," Lily spoke to the grave, "Because I know what it's like to feel sad and alone on Christmas, even though I have 10 siblings, but I always wanted to spend Christmas with my Big Brother and when he's not here to spend it, I usually get very sad and angry as well."
"Wh-what?" The Grinch whispered in shock at what Lily had just said.
"So, if you are up there watching or down there in your case, I just wanna say that you don't have to be alone anymore," Lily said with a smile, "Because from now on, every Christmas, I'll come visit you. In case you don't know, that's the day when everyone is family. I made you some Christmas cookies," she said as she placed the cookies down, "Merry Christmas Mr. Grinch."
Lily left the grave and went back to her brother. The Grinch turned to the cookies and tears started going down his eyes. He now realized that Christmas wasn't about money or the things you get. It's about giving and being there for others.
"Look Mr. Death, I know I've said that I'm sorry before but now I really am," The Grinch said in an honest tone, "So, can I please have a second chance and make things right."
Death looked at The Grinch with a stern look for a second before he gave a sigh, "Very well Grinch, I'll give you another chance," he said, "BUT this is your last and only chance! If you revert back to the selfish greedy crook, you are, then I'll come back. And I won't even hesitate to end your life."
"Promise," The Grinch nodded.
Death then used his scythes to surround The Grinch in purple flames. The Grinch screamed in panic but then he opened his eyes and saw that he was outside of his store.
"I'm alive! I'm okay!" The Grinch said in a happy tone, "But more importantly, I'm a changed man filled with the spirit of giving!"
The Grinch saw a pile of snow near a lamppost and remembered who was there earlier. He quickly got the snow off and saw Mike Wazowski fast asleep.
"Mike! Thaw Mike Wazowski! thaw!" The Grinch said as he shook Mike awake, "What day is it?"
"Christmas Day," Mike said with a yawn.
"Then I haven't missed it!" The Grinch said with a smile before turning to Mike, "I am giving you a raise and a month-long vacation in Sunny Hawaii!"
"Wait, what?! Really?!" Mike asked in a shocked and happy tone.
"Yep, but first, we've got work to do now come on," The Grinch said as grabbed Mike and rushed into the store, "It's time to save Christmas."
(Hours later)
It was now 5am and all of the employees were walking into the store. They were very depressed that they have to work on a Holiday like Christmas. Not only that, but all of Lincoln's sisters were also there because they wanted to teach the Grinch a lesson for making their brother work on and miss Christmas.
But then everyone sees the star on the Christmas Tree lit up and all the lights come. Everyone was amazed by what they were seeing. Then they saw The Grinch wearing a Santa outfit and hat and he seemed very cheerful.
"Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!" The Grinch said cheerfully and then approached Star Butterfly and handed her some scissors, "Star, I bought you some Dimensional Scissors so you can go home for the Holidays. These ones lead directly towards Mewni and you should make it by about an hour or two."
"Oh my God! This is amazing!" Star said as she shed tears of joy knowing that she would see her family for Christmas.
The Grinch then approached Pooh, "You'll never be hungry again, Pooh Bear. Because I'm hiring you your own personal chef!"
Pooh sees the Swedish Chef from the Muppets approaching them.
"Hurshin! hurmadur! Honey! Honey! Bear! Bear!" The Swedish Chef said in his usual voice as he revealed some honey on a silver platter.
"Oh! Ho ho! this is the best Christmas gift ever," Pooh said as he started to eat the honey.
The Grinch then approached Starfire, "Hey Starfire, Merry Christmas," he said as he gave her a gift, "Or as they say in your planet, Flonz Flugubord."
"That's not how you pronounce it, but close enough" Starfire said with a shrug as The Grinch went to Lincoln and his sisters.
"A Pretty Princess Barbie doll for a pretty little girl," The Grinch said as he gave Lily the Barbie doll, which made her very happy, "And some Barbie accessories with some Barbie ponies, Barbie dream houses and basically the entire collection."
The Louds see Mike Wazowski wheeling in a lot of Barbie accessories. They were all surprised by this and Lily was super happy that not only she got the doll she's been asking for, but she's completed the entire collection.
"Oh, but that's not all. I'm giving your brother, oops, I mean my new store manager," The Grinch said with a smile which shocked Lincoln and his sisters, "And all of my loyal employees a raise and a paid vacation!"
"Um, are you okay sir?" Lincoln asked in confusion as everyone else was confused as well.
"I'm better than okay Lincoln!" The Grinch said with a smile, "After all these years of greed and selfishness I finally feel like... A Lucky Green toon!"
"Dudes, It's a miracle!" Luna said in shock.
"Yeah, a miracle," Lincoln agreed with a smile.
Instead of working, all the employees were now having a Christmas Party. From dancing, enjoying the food and mingling with one another. The Grinch gave an employee vest to Blue so that way she didn't have to be broke or homeless anymore. Then Lincoln and his sisters approached him.
"Sir, I know that you don't have a family to spend Christmas with," Lincoln started which The Grinch gave a small nod, "But after some talking, and reasoning with my sisters, we'd like you to be part of ours."
"Because no one deserves to be alone on Christmas," Lily said as she gave The Grinch a hug to which he hugged back.
As everyone was enjoying the Party, The Grinch had some deep thoughts in his mind. He looked around and saw his employees, the gifts they received and the vacations they were gonna have.
"Presents! Cash bonuses! Improved health coverage! I'm gonna go broke!" The Grinch said as he started to feel like his old self again, "I've gotta find a way to reverse this situation! Should I steal back all the presents? Should I cut everyone's salaries? I gotta concentrate!"
The Grinch then felt someone pull on his shirt. He looked down and saw Lily who had some cookies with her.
"Excuse me sir, would you like a cookie?" Lily offered.
The Grinch took a cookie and looked at it. It made his heart warm up seeing it and had tears in his eyes before he gave a smile.
"Merry Christmas Uncle Grinch," Lily said.
"Uncle? Okay that might be pushing it a little," The Grinch said but then Lily hugged him and kissed his cheek, which made The Grinch sigh and smile, "Okay, Uncle Grinch it is."
Unbeknownst to them, right on the second floor, we see all three of the Ghosts of Christmas. Elsa, Po and Death looking down at The Grinch and all gave a smile.
"Well, he did it. He turned himself around," Po said with a smile, "Now this is what I call an awesome Christmas."
"I must agree," Death nodded in agreement "At first we came after a selfish greedy boss who thought it was good idea to ruin Christmas for everyone. But I don't see him anymore," he said with a smile before turning to his ghostly allies, "But you do know that I'll meet up with him again, right?"
"We know Death. We know," Elsa said.
Lincoln tapped on a glass, "Everyone, I would like to propose a toast to Mr. Grinch, the Greatest boss ever."
"Merry Christmas!" everyone toasted and cheered and continued the Christmas Party.
Outside of the store, SpongeBob was looking through the window and smiled when he saw that The Grinch has changed his greedy ways. Now The Grinch understood the meaning of Christmas.
"Don't you just love the Holidays?" SpongeBob asked as he took a bite out of a Candy Cane and did his signature laugh, "Merry Christmas everyone! From all of us here in ToonTown!"
SpongeBob then made his way to his own Christmas Party as everyone inside of The Lucky Green was enjoying their Christmas Party and having fun. This would be one Christmas that they won't ever forget.
