Phase 42: Wifely Duties Pt 2
Rachel and Jessica hear the alarms going off to hear the loudspeakers buzzing about the bioweapons flooding into the complex. "What the hell is Peter doing?" Jessica wondered.
"We need to move fast," Rachel said.
"Rachel, I need to confirm with my boss," Jessica said as he had a nasty knot in her chest hearing about from Rachel what Dan Fang's true intent may be.
"Okay, I will keep watch," she said as she contacted her boss via radio.
"What do you need?" Dan Fang asked.
"I need to know something. Someone told me about this project you were doing for Shen Ya which is Project Inceptor," she said as Dan Fang sighed at this.
"You shouldn't even know that," Dan Fang said as Jessica's heart was torn by this.
"Sir what do you mean?" she asked.
"It's a project made to give the Shen Ya a powerful paramilitary that will be strong enough to overtake China," Dan Fang said as Jessica was surprised by this.
"What, are you insane? You will trigger a civil war," Jessica said.
"Better than those vultures being in charge. They lack no vision for China and letting the Japanese and Korea team up to overtake our economy was a big mistake. The Korean Republic has sucked the air out of China's economic boom and turned us into a third-rate nation. This needs to be changed with me at the helm," Dan Fang said.
"Son of the bitch, I knew you had ambitions but this is too much," Jessica said.
"I have you to thank my dear. Your DNA is perfect for the clone template for the Inceptors given bio enhancements and made in sheer numbers. Your skills and training prove to me you are what I need for my plans," Dan Fang said.
"You were using me this whole time?" she asked as she felt like breaking down and crying to see her old life in ruins.
"Yes, but you knew that deep right?" he asked.
"I have served you and did everything for you to safeguard against China's enemies to give me a new purpose," Jessica said.
"You served your purpose well but I do not need you. Oh, your boyfriend is here, he wants to tell you something," Dan Fang said to hand the radio to her lover.
"Hey there Jessica. Sorry but I have found someone better," the guy said.
"Are you kidding me, who?" Jessica asked her heart being torn even further than before.
"A clone of you, she is hotter and sweeter than you will ever me," the man said.
"Fuck me, they made her that way you asshole," Jessica said.
"Well Jessica, as you would guess. This mission was nothing more than a wild goose chase. You were there to be sent to die. Even if you came back, you would be shot dead by my guards anyway. Thanks for your help in making Shen Ya a better place to take over China," Dan Fang said cutting off the radio.
"Fuck you! I did everything for you and treat me like nothing," Jessica can't hold back her emotions to begin pouring her tears down her face. Rachel witnessed all this as she had lots of empathy for the woman.
"Oh Jessica," Rachel goes up to give her a big hug trying to comfort her.
"What am I going to do Rachel?" she asked as Rachel patted her on the back.
"Hey, we were serious about having you join us in DSO and becoming an agent. Becoming a US citizen and getting a second chance at life," Rachel said.
"You were serious?" she asked as Rachel nodded her head.
"I am dead serious. I want to be your friend, Jessica, there is something about you I want to get to know you better. Having another best friend beside Elza would be nice," Rachel joked lightly as Jessica laughs weakly at this
"Gee blondie, always bright-eyed. I always liked that about you. Since I will get shot if I go back, I will become part of DSO once we are out of here. I will give out any info about my former employer to the government," Jessica said as Rachel felt so happy about this.
"Thank you so much, new bestie," Rachel shoves Jessica's face into her chest.
"Gee, let me breathe. Thunder Tits," Jessica protested as Rachel laughs at this.
"Okay, okay. Come on new partner let's go," Rachel said as she went forward with Jessica following behind her.
"New partner huh, that is very promising," she thought feeling truly happy for a long time having a real friend who cared about her well-being.
"Peter, are you there?" Rachel asked on the radio but there was no response. "Seems like he is not answering," she said.
"I bet he ditched us and tried to escape leaving us to our fate," Jessica said feeling bitter from the betrayal of her boss and expecting Peter to abandon them.
"We should focus on finding the others. Partner," she said which made Jessica happy.
"Right partner. Let's go," Jessica said as she checked her weapons to see her MDRX 6.5 DMR, Super Shorty pocket shotgun, and FN57 pistol. "Okay, good to go. Your friend is in the research section. It's filled with bioweapons with them loose, this is going to be tough," Jessica said.
"We need to save Elza and then Jack," Rachel said as the two went through the hallway to head for the research section.
Elsewhere the Overseer and Linda are speaking via a screen to supervise the situation. "Remarkable. This Rachel woman is more impressive than I thought. Took out entire groups without breaking a sweat," the Overseer said.
"Taking her body would unlock these secrets to further improve on the Valkyries. How is your new body doing?" Linda asked.
"It's been so long since I have to wait for this but it was worth the risk. The changes I made to the original body are very impressive, I am back to my original self through gene splicing," the Overseer said.
"So, the traces of the host is gone forever?" Linda asked as the Overseer had a cruel smile.
"Yes Natalia is gone but Alex is reborn," Alex said.
"Your brother would be so proud," Linda said.
"He would be, I managed to cheat death when he didn't. It was truly sad, his vision was beautiful changing the world only for the super-gifted chosen by Uroboros and killing off the rest of the trash behind. A world without any limits not held back by religion, nations, and race. Unlocking mankind's true potential. I will carry this out to make a better world," Alex said.
"Nicely put madam, I am 100% behind you," Linda said.
"Good, people like us are the ones who matter to push humanity forward," Alex said as they kept watch over the situation in the lab complex.
The two women got to the research section which was covered with waxy structures attached to the walls. "Drones have taken root here," Jessica said as they went into a security office to see Elza within the area locked in a cell deep within the drone-controlled area.
"There she is. E I will be coming to get you," she said as she looked over to see a weapon's locker and a few weapons inside. "She will need these," she said as there is a M9A4 pistol and a M8A2C short carbine which is part of the M8 family of weapons America adopted into military service in 2007 which consists of four weapon types. The M8A2/Assault Rifle, the M8A2C/Short Carbine, the M8A2 LSW/Light Machine Gun, and the M8A2 SDMR/Designated Marksman Rifle.
She put these weapons into her backpack as she folded the stock to make the M8A2C fit into the bag. "Time to go in there," Jessica said as she opened the door to see the hives emit some nasty noises that bug them.
"Those wings are not pleasant to listen to," Rachel said.
"No shit," Jessica said as she points to a Drone hovering above them to lunge towards Jessica. She fires a single shot to cut through the skull of the bug and flop onto the floor. Several Drones lunge at them to get knocked onto the floor.
Rachel draws her XDM pistol to blast them in their bodies to drop them onto the floor. Jessica uses her pistol to shoot the flying insects out of the air to see them collapse onto the ground to die soon after.
"Hopefully there is no queen here," Jessica said as they kept going. Rachel saw Stalkers clinging to walls waiting to ambush. She uses her sharp eyes to see the camouflaged bugs that she had taken out with her KSG. "Good eyes," she said.
"The perks I've gotten," she said as a Drone tried to slash at Jessica dodging the attack to put rounds into its body reducing it to a pile of gore. "Lots of these buggers," Rachel said.
"Burning those Hives will make our lives faster," Jessica said as Rachel noticed a dead Undertaker having a flamethrower.
"Jessica, over there. I will cover you," Rachel said as she fired her assault rifle to drop the Stalkers and Drones with Jessica dodging incoming enemies while shooting back and killing them off. A Ravager appears to spit acid with Rachel rolls away to fire several rifle rounds to tear into the Ravager's body to drop it.
Another Ravager grabs Rachel from behind to toss her into a wall as the big bug drives its spear-like limbs at Rachel. She dodges the strike but sees it's able to pierce through the metal wall. "That would be bad if it connected," she thought as she used her KSG to blast it a few shots until it died.
Jessica slides under a flying Drone to grab onto the Flamethrower to begin burning the hives with streams of flames to burn them away. Several Drones drop to the floor to be burned to a crisp.
"This will make this trip to Elza easier," Rachel said as she saw Ravagers and Drones trying to stop them but bullets and flames knocked them out of the air and crashed onto the floor.
"They smell bad when they are cooked," Jessica said
"Indeed, hey Elza are you here!" she shouted.
"Rachel, are you here?" Elza asked as Jessica was shooting flames to burn away more hives to clear the way.
"Yes it's me, I am coming to get you," Rachel said as she went on to find Elza in a cell blocked by several hives. Then a large 6-foot Drone appears which is heavily armored called the Reaper to shriek at them.
"A bigger boy here," Jessica said as they fired onto its exoskeleton but it blocked all their shots. She uses her flamethrower to cook the bug as it rushes at them on fire. The Reaper stabs Rachel's armored vest but doesn't pierce the suit itself. Reaper grabs Rachel and slams her onto the floor badly hurting her.
"Damn it," she said as she is healing from her wounds from the beating.
"Hey Blondie, you okay?" she asked as she noticed the Reaper has a bright underbelly that looks soft compared to its extra hard shell.
"I am cool, I will shake it off," Rachel said as Jessica rushed towards the monster bug. She slides to dodge the incoming pincers to fire several rounds into its soft underbelly. This managed to kill the monster and drop it onto the floor. "Slick move," she said.
"It's nothing, let's get your friend out of there," Jessica said as Rachel used her strength to break off the cell door to give her best friend a big hug.
"Hey, are you okay?" Rachel asked.
"I am a bit roughed up but I am okay," Elza said as Rachel handed her some weapons along with some ammo. "Thank you," Elza checks her new M8A2C carbine to see a Holo sight, a foregrip, and a suppressor.
"Well, time to get out here and find Jack. Where is he?" Rachel asked.
"Oh, he is taken to the deepest part of the complex. We need to a lift down below," Elza said.
"Seems like you managed to find your friend. You are impressing my mistress, now you need to head for the bottom levels to find your boyfriend. I am going to be happy to meet with you at least," Linda said on the loudspeaker.
"Gee, she looks to talk huh," Jessica said.
'You have no idea," Elza said as they heard something behind them.
"Seems like you have upset the queen. She is not happy with you in her nesting grounds," Linda said as the huge Queen Drone let out a vicious buzz having her workers seek out the three women and kill them all.
"Well, we need to take care of this thing," Jessica said as he spits up flames from her flamethrower to let tons of bugs get set on fire. The Queen sends out small drones like missiles with them avoiding them while shooting into the huge yet oversized Queen who can fly or move that much.
Elza is firing her short carbine to rip into the body of the Queen with the Drones shielding her with their bodies getting shot up by Elza. A Ravager kicks Rachel to send her flying across the room as it goes to stab Rachel but she deflects the attack with her dagger.
She uses her shotgun to blast apart the head of the Ravager to see it fall onto the floor and die. She tosses a sticky grenade to latch onto the Queen to unleash a big blast that harms the big bug.
The Queen let out streams of hot sticky goo with them rolling away from this. Rachel lobs grenades to pepper the insect and does some damage. A Stalker wanted to ambush Rachel but her sharp eyes easily cut down the beastly bug with several pistol rounds killing it off.
Jessica looks through the scope of her DMR to shots into its oversized rear making the bioweapons enraged to spit up the hot goo more violently. "Take this freak," Jessica uses the flamethrower to burn away the Queen to be engulfed in flames until she finally dies becoming a charred corpse. "Finally," she said as she burned away the hives killing off the drones in the area to see the flamethrower is empty now.
"We dealt with these things. Time to save Jack," Rachel said.
"Hey, we are going to need an escapee vehicle. I am going to head for the hanger and secure the area," she said.
"Good idea. Me and Elza will keep going forward to get Jack and destroy this place," Rachel said as they went in other directions as the duo got into a lift.
"Seems like you managed to get Jessica on our side," Elza said.
"That is a very sad story to tell," Rachel said as they went down further to head into the guts of the labs.
Jessica is on a lift as well to go into the hangar to see a lot of helicopters were destroyed. "What the hell?" she wondered.
"Hands up brown eyes," Peter said aiming his ACR at her back.
"Son of a bitch, I knew we can't trust you," Jessica said.
"Yeah, nothing personal. I destroyed these vehicles so that when they triggered the self-destruction, they would die in the explosion burying all evidence of anyone knowing me here. Giving me a clean slate. Miss Busty and others were good company but my needs come first," Peter said as Jessica tosses something at him to roll out of his line of sight.
The object was a flashbang to blind him as Jessica was behind cover with her MDRX in hand. "I will not let you get away with this," Jessica said.
"Oh, come on. You are playing for the US team now," Peter said.
"At least there is someone I can trust there," Jessica said as a shootout began with the two trying to get an angle but both were dodging lines of sight.
"Oh, so they dropped you huh? Those Chinese are a ruthless bunch," Peter said.
"You are just like them. Willing to throw away anything to gain an edge," Jessica said as she landed a hit the bullet cutting across Peter's shoulder and drawing blood.
"Damn it, I find this surprising that you are attached to Miss Busty," Peter said.
"She is a good friend and sweet woman. Someone worth following unless you," Jessica said as she managed to clip him in the head killing him instantly. "Finally," she said as she contacted the others. "hey I managed to secure the hanger but Peter destroyed the rest of the aircraft," she said Elza and Rachel were surprised and disgusted with this.
"Seriously Peter, what the hell?" Rachel questioned to be upset with this.
"Well, he only cared about himself in the end," Elza said.
"Indeed, I have gotten a Hind here. We can fly it to the closest US base in Alaska, once we are done here. I will keep watch over this while you get your man. Good luck," Jessica said.
"Thanks," she said. "She is a true friend," she said feeling happy about her choice to befriend her.
"Yeah. We would have been screwed if she didn't stop Peter from taking the last vehicles and leaving us to die here," Elza said as they go down to the last levels of the lab complex to save Jack and destroy the complex once and for all.
