Hey everyone! I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa or whichever way you may celebrate this time of year. Sorry this chapter is not Christmas themed (maybe next year!). I would also like to wish you a Happy New Year. I want to say that this chapter here is more lighthearted but I would be lying to you. I hope you enjoy it!
Today we check in with our Super Saiyans and if they make it safely to Yardrat. And what is this? Another Pod? Did Shepard make it out alive? Find out this and more on this chapter of Dragon Ball: BtG!
Review(s)
AtlasStelle1: You're welcome Sir. Thanks for your review. And to be honest, the Ikari state is relatively new. I need to do a bit more research on it if I am to properly do it justice. To combine the Ikari and the Super Saiyan would be a monster boost! But…would it be a magnifier? (Ssj=50x X Ikari=10x) Or would it be an add on so to speak? That is the tough part. But not to fear, for I do have something brewing for Shepard (thumbs up!) hope you enjoy this chapter!
Location: Planet Yardrat
Age: February 20, 763
Three pods entered the atmosphere. It was a long journey, just over 3 months of flight. 2 of the pods seemed to be on course to land in a general location while the other went haphazardly in a different direction, many miles away.
BOOM
BOOM
The 2 pods landed around the same time, both throwing up a mass of rock.
As the rocks settled down, and the winds started to die down, one of the doors opened. The hand was bare, whereas before he would always wear his prided white gloves.
Vegeta stepped out, breathing in the air and looking at the sky. It was a mustard-yellow colored sky with swirls of long, thin black clouds. He cracked his neck, still a bit tired from the long flight. He was still paranoid, fearing King Cold would show up at any time. He felt the absolute massive power of the true King of the Planet Trade. Aside from some swelling, dried blood from several cuts, and one of his molars in the back missing, he was going to be fine.
The other pod door opened, where the long-haired Saiyan, lost of his prided armored shirt but still with most of his leggings and both shoes, pulled himself out with his good hand. His other hand had a massive hole through it from one of Cooler's attacks. It never quite healed all the way, still leaking blood along the edges. The gas had knocked him out, but he had played out the fight with the Warlord in his head many times. It was either his face or his hand. Losing a hand was a lot better than losing his head...
"Ughhh..." Raditz stepped out, shaking his head trying to clear the fog out.
"Hmph... I told you long ago to wake up at least an hour before landing. Surely that super saiyan power hasn't gone to your head so much as to disrespect me, Low Class." Vegeta was stern, ready to fight if need be, despite having no armor and very little energy.
Raditz shook his head one last time, looking at Vegeta like he was a turd. It gave Vegeta pause...
"Oh... We can always settle this right now Raditz."
"Will you shut up? I have other things on my mind than squabbling with your little ass. And as you've seen, I'm certainly no Low Class any longer. I know your ego is still intact, Princess. You wouldn't dare try it until we are both at full strength." Raditz ignored Vegeta's angry grumbling, scoping out the planet with his senses.
"Dammit, where is Kakarot?" Raditz couldn't sense his little brother. He knew his Pod came in ahead of theirs...
"Kakarot is just as much of a fool as you are. Of course, he probably didn't wake up at all when the alarm sounded. Heh heh heh heh heh for being so smart, Bardock sure made a couple of dumbass children hahahahahaha!" Vegeta was the only one laughing, and it bugged him that Raditz didn't react, still reaching out with his senses.
"There's someone on the planet. Someone strong. I can't make out exactly how strong, but we better-"

Three unknown warriors teleported in, putting the pair of Saiyans on guard.
Zzt
"State your business on our planet." Another teleported in next to Raditz, who threw a reactionary punch, only for it to be caught in the warrior's palm. The Yardratian before him began to power up, sending rocks and wind blowing in different directions.
"What p-power!" Raditz was forced off his feet, but the alien held onto his hand.
The winds died down as the warrior released Raditz, who fell near Vegeta.
"H-He's stronger than... Than Frieza!" Vegeta lowered his arms as he took in the appearance of the alien.
He was a teal-colored alien with darker spots throughout his shoulder and head. A warrior, evidenced by the chiseled body, the sculpted arms. He wore no shirt but was wearing purple pants, sealed off with a silver-colored belt. His pants were tucked into silver-colored shoes. He also wore forearm protectors, silver in color as well.
"State your business, traveler, or your friend will be destroyed." The alien was stern, clearly wary of foreigners.
"This bastard is no friend of mine. Kill him if you wish. But know that after you do, I will kill you and the rest of these pathetic low lives."
"Augh! Vegeta you dirty traitor!"
"Traitor? Me? Oh, spare me Raditz. Once again you don't think in the moment. This is why I always make sure I am alert before landing on a planet. Now then, go ahead and end this miserable cretin. Hahahahahaha he will be easy to kill because he is a simple soldier. I am of a different stock, slug. You should bow before royalty."
"Here we go..."
"Or you will feel the wrath of the Prince of All Saiyans!"
"And that...is why we don't let Vegeta in the Bolean World Cup!"
"That was years ago Runt!"
"Still doesn't make it any more important, Worm!"
"W-Worm! How...How dare you-"
"SILENCE!" The alien finally had enough, easing the growing tension between the pair of warriors.
"Now, it appears as if you two are injured. We can take you to a hospitable place to seek healing."
"I thought you were gonna kill us?" Raditz asked.
"You, imbecile. You." Vegeta argued.
"Whatever!"
"Judging by your unnecessary arguments, you two are friends or squad mates. I sense darkness in both of you, especially you." The warrior pointedly looked at Vegeta.
"Of course. I'm evil, moron!" Vegeta stated proudly.
"Shut up! Just because you killed Frieza doesn't make you evil!" Raditz said.
"Y-You killed Frieza?" The warrior shockingly asked Vegeta.
"Of course, I did, with these very hands I choked the life out of him, then blew him to ash." Vegeta crossed his arms, laughing at the memory.
"Then forgive our aggression. I am Soba, the strongest Yardratian on the planet. I have been training to defend our planet in the event Frieza came or sent his forces. I had assumed based on your ships that you were invaders looking to conquer us. I can have you taken to our healers so that you may recover. But I am watching you. Make no mistake about it, if you turn a blind eye to my people, you will be sorry." Soba said, giving a slight bow.
Vegeta used his senses, trying to get an idea of where he would stand in a fight with Soba.
'He would most certainly defeat Frieza or any of his other soldiers. I can't quite tell just how powerful he is, but he may even be able to give me difficulty in the Super Saiyan form. Unbelievable!'
Vegeta put on a blank mask of indifference, not wanting to give any kind of hint of surprise away.
"Threatening me will get you nowhere, fool. You should be grateful that I didn't just kill you, but instead, you think you can get away with such empty threats? Don't make me laugh!" Vegeta started to power up, his energy slowly picking up wind as rocks slowly started tumbling back. The 3 weaker Yardrat warriors were pushed back, but Soba remained firm. Raditz had been slowly pushed back forcefully, holding his hands up to block the wind.
"Vegeta you idiot! STOP BEFORE YOU GET US KILLED!" He yelled over the howling winds.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Vegeta's hair slowly turned yellow and his eyes became teal. Soba's eyes widened in curiosity.
"DAMN IT VEGETA!" Raditz was knocked on his ass, falling back before landing on his front. He was just too exhausted and without a whole lot of energy to withstand the energy blowback.
Vegeta's tail turned gold as he let out a roar, tearing the ground apart around him.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Vegeta's hair flickered between black and gold as his thoughts went to his childhood, of Frieza, of all that had been taken from him.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
CRASH
Vegeta lost the power, falling on his face unconscious.
"W-Was that...It?" Soba asked in wonder. Raditz stood up, slapping his forehead in embarrassment.
"T-That...Idiot...Of course it isn't. We unlocked the power through rage. For me, it was seeing my brother's son killed in front of my eyes, then... Speaking of...Have you-?"
"I was informed of the other ship landing near a village. That one is already in a hospital, being looked over." Soba answered.
"H-How are you so...fast? I sensed your power on the other side of the planet."
"All will be revealed once you are being looked upon by our healers. You three, secure the small one. If he wakes, sap him."
"Of course Sire!" The three faithfully teleported to the Saiyan, lifting one of Vegeta's arms before putting 2 fingers to his head and disappearing. Raditz's eyes nearly bulged out of his head.
"Not quite what you were expecting hm? You ready?" Soba asked, touching Raditz's shoulder and doing the same as the prior Yardratian, they were in the landscape before being surrounded by a mass of people. Raditz couldn't quite describe the odd feeling of it, but it was oddly… familiar.
Soba released his touch before backing away, where several smaller, different-colored aliens surrounded Raditz, touching him and getting him off his feet before placing him on the bed. He was still shocked by the feeling of Instant Transmission so he didn't resist the healers as they wheeled him away. Another approached Soba, as the warrior looked down and bowed his head in a manner of respect.
"Elder Pybara," Soba said.
"Soba, our strongest warrior...will they be a problem?" The elder Yardratian asked.
"Not so long as I upkeep my training, Elder. I will persevere."
"Ahh, excellent. We will see what happens with these aliens."...
Otherworld
Tien and Chiaotzu had been in Otherworld for months. King Kai had to supplement Chiaotzu's small, but evident diet as he had decided to stay with his lifelong friend, but Tien had made excellent progress on King Kai's planet. He was sure he was stronger than Yamcha now, but the Saiyans...they were still a mountain to climb, but the Triclops was up for it. King Kai was watching from the ground as Tien was in the sky above, deep in a seated meditation and wreathed in a deep red aura. Tien had recently climbed to a 20 Times Kaioken, coupled with constantly being on a planet heavier than the one he grew up on.
King Kai was amazed at the Triclops' progression.
'Hm hm hm hm I definitely train some good students if I do say so myself hm hm hm hm". King Kai thought to himself as Tien's eyes opened, standing up and beginning a Kata in the air. One he was familiar with since childhood. He wanted to have a chance to fight Goku again. To see how far Shepard had come. The fight with King Cold was...Unbelievably brutal.
"HAAAAAAA! TIMES 20!" Tien let out an explosion of power, moving the clouds above him.
"Hm hm hm hm hm excellent! His control has certainly gotten much better!" King Kai said, but he had something else in mind for Tien as a portal opened up near him. Someone made their way though.
"Ahh... About time you got here!"
"Sorry King Kai, Bardock wanted to have a quick spar. I thought I would indulge him. it has been quite a while, my friend. Has...Has he progressed in his training?" The man walked next to King Kai, watching Tien in the air.
Chiaotzu immediately froze at the sight of the man. He was dead of course, but if he didn't know any better, this was...
"Hm hm hm hm hm hm... I think you might be surprised. OH TIIIIIEEEEEEEEEN!"
Tien stopped what he was doing, but his 3rd eye forced him to zoom in on a new figure. The energy he felt slammed into his senses like a raucous tidal wave. As he dropped to the ground, he gulped as he took in the figure. Walking up to the stranger, he felt a sense of…calm. It washed over him in such an unfamiliar way but he didn't let it ruin the moment. Standing in front of him now within 3 feet, he realized why he didn't feel tense in the presence of the warrior.
It was as if he were staring in a mirror, except for the buzzed black hair atop his head and the alternate color swapping of yellow and light blue with his green and red, the pair of 3rd eyes each stared into each other's souls.
"Tien… My son. At long last, the honor to meet you has come." Glass shattered in Tien's mind, begging for some kind of memory.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Chukadon. I lived many years ago on the planet Kaiseki. If it would be allowed, we could Connect."
"C-Connect? I…I'm afraid I don't understand. I…I always assumed I was an Earthling." Tien was flabbergasted! The warrior who stood before him was almost a mirror to him, yet he couldn't understand just what he was sensing about him that seemed so very different.
"Let us sit, I will explain. After your Ma was killed in our last battle, I feared she had not sent you away. I gave all I could to defend our home, but that monster Cold bested me. Destroyed the rest of our planet. Hid his blunders."
"I-Is he Tien's father?" Chiaotzu asked King Kai.
"Hm hmm. A fierce warrior who was killed over 6 decades ago. Hm hm hm hm he was one the strongest warriors I had seen up to that point. Such a shame how it ended." King Kai mysteriously said, watching as the pair walked away to a small clearing on the planet to sit…
The pair of Kaisekians made it near one of the small trees. Chukadon sat below the shade, but Tien crossed his arms refusing to sit.
"Pardon me, but you make it sound like it has been a long time since you've seen me. But…It makes no sense. The timing is…Off. I'm still young, far too young to be the son you're looking for." Tien sternly looked at his supposed 'father', who didn't hesitate to look at his son with a sad smile.
"All will be explained upon our Connection once again. Please, sit in front and we shall Connect."
Tien sat roughly, still tense and ready to uncoil at a moment's notice. Chukadon noticed this, chuckling softly.
"You are as tense as the little Lorcans that ran amongst our homes when we were once young lads." Tien's frigid nature began to slowly melt away. He slowly sat in front of the nearly identical twin, his 3rd eye wide open.
"Lorcan's?" He asked.
"Ahh yes. Feisty buggers that would nip at one's ankles if we were not mindful of their step. Now then, relax yourself." Chukadon suggested as Tien tried to ease himself into whatever this was.
He watched as Chukadon closed his main eyes, his 3rd eye glowing gold for a few seconds before it became red. Chukadon shook his head for a few moments.
"It is as I feared. Your path to Enlightenment and Fulfillment was…dulled. You were…An assassin?" Chukadon asked, horrified.
"Unfortunately, I was. I don't remember much of my childhood, except Master Shen and Tao taking me in. I know I was on that path, but since my mind has been opened, I have been trying to find my own path. It has certainly not been easy." Tien explained. Chukadon shook his head, resetting himself.
"Regardless of your path, we are reunited once again at last! Now then, let us begin!" Chukadon closed his eyes once more, this time his 3rd one closed as well. Tien closed his as well, feeling a sense of overwhelming peace before he opened his eyes yet again, shocked by the vision in front of him.
It had been a lush, green planet, like Namek but there was much more land. The trees had blue leaves as Tien walked by. He could swear he smelled the air.
"Chukadon!" Tien naturally turned, seeing a woman walk up to him.
"Ex-excuse me? My name is Tien." He bowed to the small woman, but she paid it no mind for several moments before raising an eyebrow.
"Are you lost, Chukadon? You know I just had Tien only several cycles ago, don't ya?"
Tien looked at the woman once again before his eyes shot up. She was lithe, with long, flowing blonde hair, her third eye a crystal blue to go along with her sparkly blue main eyes. She wore very simple green undergarments that were tied off with a blue bow. She held a basket full of what looked like fruit in one hand.
"Come now, mate." The woman giggled at Tien's supposed confusion. He noticed he was breathing heavily, completely shocked that he was looking at his mother. But the shock wore away as he felt something…dark. Whatever happened next, the woman's kind nature abruptly ended as she looked into the sky.
"It's…No, it can't…" Tien looked around for several moments as the woman's head never left the sky. But it also took him a moment to realize that the air was completely still.
"Unfortunately it is." Tien snapped around, seeing Chukadon next to a thick tree.
"That's Cold's energy!" Tien said in alarm.
"You had the same reaction I had. It was then I told Chai that she needed to send you away. You…Were our greatest hope. Our only hope was that one day our people would be remembered. But I see, it was not meant to be."
Chukadon walked up next to the mirror image of his former mate, a tear falling down his face.
"To escape my eternal reality, I come here…to my last living memories. I unfortunately did not have time to see you away before Cold's army arrived. Chai joined me shortly after, having seen you off."
The area around Tien dissipated, being replaced by heavy smoke in the air. He heard screams, as he saw people flying through the smoke, multi-colored blasts flying through the air. He saw a group of other Kaisekians get destroyed by a massive blast from the sky. Tien could only stare in unyielding horror as he saw nothing but ashen remains fall. Another fell in front of him as a giant warrior of some alien race landed on him, laughing as he held his hands down, firing an orange blast into the ground and liquifying the upper half of the warrior. Tien went to step forward but Chukadon held his arm, making him stop.
"Watch, son." Was all his father said as the massive soldier roared to the sky before a blast blew through his chest, making the alien cough out blue blood as he fell forward. There, a seemingly younger version of Chukadon had fired the blast, looking down at the monster before bowing his head to the remains of his fellow warrior.
"Peace be free, Suimono." The alternate version of him said no more as another warrior flew down next to him.
"CHAI! Why didn't you go with our boy? I knew I still sensed you, my love!" He hugged her, giving her a quick kiss.
Chukadon's squeezed Tien's arm, incredibly hard. It made him wince, but he didn't look over. He wouldn't.
"I wouldn't leave you so soon love, but we must hurry! They have already torched more than a quarter of our planet! What must we do?" Chai asked in alarm as she released Chukadon.
"I sense a massively dark presence on our planet, Chai. We-"
She was dead before she fell, her third eye bursting outward. Blood splashed over Chukadon's chest as she fell forward, limp into her mate's arms.
"Ch-Chai…Chai? No… no…Please…" He sensed it this time, moving his head as a razor-thin beam of ki flashed by where his third eye had been. It had a width of only a few atoms, but Chukadon sensed it. He used his eye, flashing gold.
"I see you…"
Chukadon disappeared. Tien was frozen stiff as he saw his dead mother on the ground. He never had the chance to know her.
"For you, this is your first time seeing a memory of our planet. Of our people. I'm sorry I couldn't show you more at this time. I…I have watched this thousands of times. My own personal torment, for I saw the assassin who killed her with my eye. But the energy was gone. I couldn't begin to understand it. One second I had it zoned and the next, gone like a wisp of air. I believe it was a female signature. I only caught it for a second. But I could dwell no longer, for I failed your mother, and as the currently strongest warrior on planet Kaiseki at the time, I made it my mission to defeat this army." Chukadon looked in the sky as the battle continued, but not his younger self. His younger self had gone in a rage. Tien felt as if his body was blitzing forward, hands in front of him ripping through one alien, taking the entrails of that alien, and choking the life out of another until Chukadon squeezed so hard that the head burst. He grabbed that headless body, throwing it into another set of soldiers.
"I was covered in every spectrum of blood by the time I was done. Thousands of Cold's filthy soldiers stepped their foot on this planet, many never made it off. Those who did likely lost their friends. I cared not. My mate was dead. You were gone, sent away to hopefully live a peaceful existence. I had hoped you would never encounter Cold, but I was wrong, and I apologize deeply for it."
They watched as Chukadon blasted through the air, his energy vaporizing another group of soldiers as he kept going higher. Tien's eyes glanced up towards his destination, seeing the massive ship break through the atmosphere. It was a horrific sight to behold as Tien saw more soldiers pour out from the bottom of the ship. He watched before his mind blitzed into the sky, syncing with his younger father's self as he watched Chukadon's hands in front reach out, grabbing the neck of a random soldier and smashing his knee into it. The head burst like a melon, sending blood everywhere. Tien wanted to wipe the blood away but he was not in control any longer.
"I'LL DESTROY YOU FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO MY WORLD!" Tien felt Chukadon's inner rage as his third eye glowed. A power that Tien couldn't even process came out, shooting forward and blowing up another small battalion of soldiers. He was about to go forward when a red blast flashed by him, destroying a trio of Kaisekians to Chukadon's left. He turned but stopped abruptly. A pair of soldiers, different than the rest floated up in front of him.
"Heh heh heh heh heh well look at this one Methuselah." The one known as Methuselah grunted, indifferent.
"Surrender yourself or face Grona's wrath," Methuselah stated.
"I will have a word with your boss. He broke his promise to this planet! So either stand aside, or I will kill you, without any question." Chukadon warned.
Another blast flew by between the 3 warriors, but the tension between them was heavy.
Grona chuckled, looking Chukadon up and down.
"You may have gotten past these pathetic soldiers, but we are the real deal, sweetums!" Grona said.
Chukadon scoffed at the statement.
"Very well then! If I will not have the one who murdered my mate, then you will do just fine, woman!"
Tien watched as Chukadon quickly massacred the pair, in the end only leaving Methuselah's head to drop to the ground far below.
"Th-They had to be almost as strong as Frieza and you…"
"I didn't have time to make it look exquisite, son. I was fighting a war. And I was quickly becoming one of the last warriors left to defend our home."
They watched as Chukadon made his way to the ship above, which had now fully broken the atmosphere. A figure came from above the ship, leering down at Chukadon.
"Chukadon! How dare-" Chukadon flew in and snatched King Cold, taking him and slamming him against the underside of the ship. They struggled, but the Kaisekian had the strength advantage.
"You…MY MATE IS DEAD BECAUSE OF YOUR BLASTED ARMY! YOU PROMISED TO SPARE KAISEKI IF I OFFERED MY SERVICES!" Chukadon was full of rage, but King Cold was a massive being, grabbing Chukadon's wrist.
"Y…You had many…Months…to show your wretched face!" King Cold argued before his power surged, pushing Chukadon backward, and forcing away his grip with ease.
"And yet, my last messenger didn't arrive back to me at all with any news. Did you have him killed, Chukadon?"
King Cold's armor cracked, breaking off as he yelled, aura surging forward and blowing Chukadon back further…
"Un-Unreal!" Tien trembled, feeling the monstrous eruption of energy. His senses were scrambled, trying to just feel the peak of the rapidly rising power.
"T'was. I was not prepared for that massive power to come from within him." Chukadon sadly replied as King Cold yelled again. His violet aura roared around him as purple lightning blew off the rest of his armor. The King shouted to the sky one final time, glowing as the light flashed violently forward. Tien held his hands up to his eyes in fear, but Chukadon didn't so much as blink. However, his younger self was pushed back much further away.
The glow died down as the full, final form of King Cold glowed.
"Let us see what you have Chukadon! You've been preparing for me yes?" King Cold moved so fast, barrelling into the younger version of the Kaisekian warrior, taking him back by extreme force…
"Y-You were going to join his forces? How could you?" Tien couldn't watch the beating of his father, even a memory version of him, with his main eyes, but his third eye stayed as focused as possible.
"I understand your anger, son. I had delayed out of hesitation. Nothing more. I heeded our elder's warnings of joining a nefarious force such as this. I swore an oath to join as a service to keep my planet from the reaches of his forces. I knew the oath would poison and corrupt me, so…I delayed as long as I dared, until…"
They continued to watch as Chukadon's younger self blasted a beam of intense, green energy out of his third eye, piercing King Cold's tough shoulder, eliciting a shout of surprised pain.
"GAHHH! You…you actually managed…Managed to hurt me. You…Insignificant Triclops SCUM!" King Cold fired a heavy blast at Chukadon, who dodged to the side before flying in, but King Cold's speed was incredibly deceptive, afterimaging away and getting behind the three-eyed warrior, smashing both feet into Chukadon's back. A loud SNAP echoed as Chukadon's scream of pain nearly broke Tien's eardrums. His mind felt like it was everywhere, overwhelming him.
"I…I...Ahh..I can't!"
"You must, son! I knew then, as my spine shattered from the force of Cold's heavy blow, that my fight was over. No matter what I could do, all that mattered was that you were far away. It hurts me to know that my efforts were in vain." Chukadon sadly said as they watched his younger self fall to the ground, slamming into it with heavy force front first. King Cold landed beside him, eyebrow raised.
"Hmmm, I see that a fully powered attack was enough to disable you… a pity. Hm hm hm hm the great Chukadon, beaten and broken! Hahahahahahaha! How pathetic it must feel hmm?" The younger King Cold was far more boastful in his youth, a trait Tien noticed that both of his sons had received from him.
"I…I wi-!"
King Cold snapped his tail forward, impaling the back of Chukadon's neck, nearly decapitating the former warrior…
"Next thing I knew, I was in some bright place. I fear for your Saiyan friend's well-being. He was weaker than I, no doubt. But his will, and that weapon of his. I am sure he survived. He still hasn't arrived up here anyway, yeah?" Chukadon nudged Tien, who was stone-faced as he watched King Cold observe his father's dead body.
"Chukadon… I wish you had joined me… The Arcosians, the Kaisekians. My incredible Universal influence, your incredible Sight. I will remember you, if only for your-" King Cold reached his hand out, a Kaisekian warrior having sped in to attack but he was far too slow. The Kaisekian was grabbed by his neck, roughly pulled to King Cold's eye level, where the fearsome warrior growled.
"You…INTERRUPT ME?" King Cold picked up the screaming warrior, holding him above his head before grabbing him by his leg.
"Ahhh! NO-AGRRR—" RIIIIP
King Cold did not mince his movements, ripping the Kaisekian in half and tossing each in other directions. Tien trembled even more before the landscape went white, making him look up in confusion.
"T'was no need to witness any more savagery, son."
"This…this is so much. H-How can I still be this young if you died over sixty years ago? I'm…I mean look at me!" Tien was right, but Chukadon chuckled.
"Hm hm hm well… Chai was always so very smart. See, she believed that there may have been one of those ever-gripping holes of black amongst the stars. I think she may have done this to possibly prolong your life. If she had sent you in the opposite direction, you may have flown in our sun hahahaha!"
"Heh heh heh heh…You're talking about a black hole? So you're saying…Mother sent me towards this black hole? And what? I just randomly got away from it?" Tien's mind could not absorb the absolute mind shock his body had received.
He was an alien. He had landed on Earth by random chance many years later than he should have. He had assumed all his life that he had been related to a three-eyed species on Earth that existed long ago. But he supposed he would have to try to find his Sight. He just didn't know where to begin.
"I know not what Chai had programmed the ship to do. It was but a small vessel. Cold had sent a small…sample of them a short time before and I was gifted one by the elder. Cold used to be more…respectable in his younger time. The version that came to my planet that frightful day…I know not what he was supposed to be. But there is good news my son. I may be able to help you recover your Sight. Then we can get to the real root of your problems, aye?"
Tien was all for it, but he still had the matter of dealing with the outside world for the time being.
"I need to let Chiaotzu know what is going on. He should return to Earth with the others. I don't know how long this will take. Shen and Tao must have done something to my mind. And I won't be able to unlock my full power until I discover what it is." Tien clenched his fist, anger surging at what his former master's may have done to him as a small child.
The pair continued to speak, for the young Kaisekian known as Tien had only just begun to discover his true nature!…
March 16, 763
It had been 2 weeks since the Saiyans landed on the planet Yardrat. A lot had occurred throughout the time spent there.
Vegeta and Raditz were sitting next to Soba, who was sat next to a group of Yardratians as they barreled through more food. Raditz was shocked initially by how much they ate, rivaling his appetite quite easily. It took Vegeta a bit longer to warm up to the idea of eating around a group of alien strangers, but his stomach eventually didn't let him have a choice, finally sitting down and inhaling food next to Soba. There was currently a break in between servings as Raditz patted his belly.
"Gahhh…After what happened, a good meal is all that will suffice."
"Shut it, Raditz. Kakarot will get what is coming to him. All in due time."
"Yeah, you said that the last time before he nearly destroyed us a second time. Look Vegeta I don't want to admit it but-"
"Don't. You. Say it! Not even a peep!" Vegeta nearly stabbed his waiting utensil through the table, causing a few of the aliens to look his way.
"I can't fathom how Kakarot has gotten so powerful in such a quick time!"
"That's just it Vegeta! It's...I'm...Worried about my brother."
"Ha! Worrying about that clown! It nearly got you killed on Namek, idiot!"
"Yeah ok, mister Galick Gun to a being that was oh let's guess, a few thousand times stronger than you at the time!"
"You still think that idiot survived that insane power of Cold? Quite the imbecile you must be to even try to think like that!" Vegeta was instantly digging into the next plate of food as it finally arrived, ignoring Raditz's disgusted face.
Raditz had other things on his mind. Everything had seemingly been fine after they landed on Yardrat. Raditz's hand was healed within 3 days. Whatever exhaustion he had over him was mostly gone, just lightly fatigued was what the healer told him. Vegeta had been out for nearly 18 hours from overloading his body with the Super Saiyan energy. His recovery was all but assured. But Goku...
Something...Something was seriously wrong with his little brother. It wasn't like him to be so...so...
"Quit daydreaming and eat, low-class buffoon! We have a meeting with your stupid brother after this! I intend to obliterate him this time!" Vegeta said before he dug into his next plate.
"And what? Destroy the planet we're staying on in the process? Kakarot won't just let that happen!"
Raditz gave up trying to change the Prince's mind. He dug into his next plate, taking down the food as quickly as the last. He would admit if they didn't add more than just sweet potatoes to his diet he would go ballistic. He was going to turn into a sweet potato before too long! But, food was food, and Raditz had had far worse in life.
He had just set the next plate aside when Soba stood abruptly, looking up.
"You gonna eat that sweet potato, Soba?" Raditz asked but was ignored. Soba took off outside, making a few other Yardratians scatter. Vegeta dropped his half of a sweet potato before he and Raditz both made eye contact.
"Dammit, I hope Kakarot didn't destroy one of the villages this time," Raditz said as he and Vegeta, both now adorned in classical Yardrat attire ran after the others.
Raditz had just stepped outside when he could feel something hit his senses. It was feint, but…Saiyan?
"Vegeta you feeling the same thing?" Raditz asked.
"I knew that bastard stain of a Saiyan would survive." Vegeta shook his head in mild anger before Raditz bellowed.
"HA HA HA HA HAH HAH HA Sonuva bitch made it out after all!" Raditz could feel the ki a bit stronger now, but it felt like it was…amplified?
A Space Pod broke through the dense, swirling yellow clouds, but the pair of Saiyans could tell something was immediately wrong with it. It was wildly spinning out of control and it had something on top of the Pod.
"What the…" Raditz was gawking as he saw caught a glimpse of the BanHammer atop the Space Pod.
"He's deranged!" Vegeta nearly shouted as the Space Pod blasted above them at frightening speed.
It landed nearly 2 miles away, crashing into the ground in a massive tumble and still going.
Zzt
Soba used Instant Transmission to get in front of it, catching the pod in the middle of a bounce. It didn't come without pain as he grimaced, being driven back from the sheer force of the collision. The Space Pod was closing in on a city a short distance away, so Soba used his energy, pulling him and the Pod down to the ground. His legs slammed into the ground in pain as he used all his energy to try to force the Pod to stop.
"HaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Soba screamed, encasing himself in a blue aura as the Pod finally started to lose momentum. Soba nearly went blind from the gleam of the BanHammer as he caught a glance. A split second later, the Space Pod stopped abruptly, only sliding another 10 feet. Soba was thrown off in an out-of-control tumble but he put his fingers to his head, teleporting near the smoking Pod.
"……Saiyans…!" Soba huffed as Vegeta and Raditz sped in, landing next to the warrior Yardratian.
The BanHammer slid off of the top of the Space Pod, landing with a thud base side down. It cratered into the ground nearly a foot. But the door still hadn't opened yet.
"Open it, moron. You're the one who is so excited for his pathetic return." Vegeta scoffed, crossing his arms.
"Is this another one of your…friends?" Soba asked somewhat cautiously.
"Friend? HA! Not on your life. I aim to destroy him. But as it stands now, it would be pointless, and worth nothing." Vegeta answered coldly.
"He's more like a training partner. We killed each other some time ago believe it or not." Raditz said as he walked up to the Pod.
"Should've stayed dead," Vegeta muttered to himself but the long-haired Saiyan heard it.
"Then you would be without a punching bag. Heh heh heh heh heh… Come to think of it, I still owe you for that sucker punch a week ago. I'll be sure to collect on that quite soon." Raditz wasn't scared of Vegeta or his brooding. Maybe when the Prince was still over 10 times stronger than him, but that had long changed.
"Come on Shepard, don't have all day to cater to your grandiose entrance." Raditz hit the top of the Pod a couple of times with the bottom of his fist, raising an eyebrow at the lack of any kind of response.
"Fine then, manual open it is. Better not be doing anything unsavory in that Pod idiot." Raditz tripped the manual release, forcing the door to creak open. It had to be damaged because it was stuttering in its attempts for a few seconds before finally opening all the way.
"Oh dear…"
"…What kind of battle does this to someone?" Soba asked in horror.
"The kind for your life," Vegeta answered.
Shepard was in terrible condition. His body had bruises that were purple, yellow, and black in some areas. Raditz reached in, tilting back Shepard's downed head, only to see that half his face was a crimson mass. A gash ran across his forehead and it had bled over his face throughout the flight. There was also a massive gash across his chest that still had frost particles, likely from King Cold's tail. He was without a shirt and his undershorts were shredded. Raditz could still sense energy from his fellow Saiyan so he didn't wait. He pulled Shepard's near-dead carcass out of the Pod, yanking him up and taking him to the BanHammer.
"What are you-?" Soba was about to ask before Raditz walked past him.
"Seen it happen on Earth. His weapon is…well it's magical. It may heal him. Don't know why it didn't before." Raditz answered.
Vegeta scoffed. But after feeling Shepard's energy disappear on Namek and feeling its resurgence only minutes later, he was partially curious.
Raditz chucked Shepard haphazardly onto the weapon, making Shepard's head bounce off.
"Oops heh heh heh uhh, come on now. It worked before. So heal!" Raditz said.
The BanHammer sent a spark of energy into the ground, making it lightly explode off Raditz's foot, but it was enough to make him hold it up with both hands in pain as he fell on his ass.
"Hahahahahahaha obviously you were wrong, moron. Now, stand aside as I- YEOOWW!" Vegeta yelled as the BanHammer sent another spark of energy, sending a sharp pain into his foot as he yelled and limped away for a moment. Vegeta growled ready to fire an energy blast out of pure instinct but held the trigger, remembering the weapon's…capabilities all too well.
"Grrrr..AHH. When he…" Vegeta was huffing as he tried to stand back on both feet but the stinging pain was now shooting up his leg, making him grimace. Raditz laughed at Vegeta's misfortune for a few moments before a quake on the planet silenced him, immediately. He stood up, pain not as intense in his foot as before as the BanHammer sent an invisible shockwave of energy, pushing the Saiyans and Yardratians back. The BanHammer shimmered, covered in silver energy as its owner was surrounded by it, followed by black, purple, and yellow lightning arcing around Shepard. His body started shaking violently as he woke up from his unconsciousness, screaming as the lightning penetrated him, making his eyes white out.
"AHHHHHHGHHGGGGHHHHH….ahh ahh ahh ahhhAhhhAAAHHAHHHAHHHHHHHH!" He couldn't control the sheer force the toll of being healed from almost certain death put on him. The price for this kind of immortality-like power. His body continued to shake violently as the lightning refused to let up. Something deep within his soul cursed, something he couldn't control as it came out of his mouth.
"AMALAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZ!" Shepard screamed until his throat was raw, sending an oppressive force of energy, unlike anything the Saiyans could have prepared for. Everyone was blown away as the BanHammer created a massive vortex of energy, shaking the planet to the point the barely recovered warriors were sent even further away.
The energy, once it reached the sky, blew all the clouds away, lighting the sky up for miles with waves of energy swirling everywhere.
Shepard's body finally stopped being fried with lightning. Whatever it was that he screamed, it pushed him into unconsciousness once again, but his body had healed. All the bruising had faded away, leaving him only with the scar across his chest.
The planet finally started to calm down as the quaking came to an end. The energy had dissipated in the sky, but the traces of silver-colored energy could still be seen here and there.
Raditz had arrived back first, head throbbing in pain from tumbling end over end. Vegeta was only a couple of seconds behind as Soba teleported in next to Raditz.
"What…was that? Is that how it went last time, fool?" Vegeta was livid! His shoulder was aching now, hitting it first when he finally landed for the last time. They didn't even get a chance to see the energy itself, but the evidence was in the air.
"This…energy? What is this?" Raditz could only question aloud as they looked down at Shepard's prone body.
"There is a light…pressure in the air. I can't sense the energy behind it, only it's remains. Or the essence left behind." Soba said. It was beyond their scope of understanding!…
"Did he…he just…" Vados was speechless, as was her brother next to her. They had been following Shepard after he managed to escape Namek, barely. Far more questions were building up than answers, and for once, Whis had been caught off guard.
"We must tell Father about this if he has not already sensed it himself," Whis replied. It was not so much the mortal Shepard, but his weapon that had the Angel concerned. It was starting to oddly grate on his nerves. A tinge of familiarity started to resonate within him. He had seen this weapon before. No not from the older version of Shepard. He just…He couldn't find the memory.
It bothered Whis, greatly.
"I've seen that weapon before, brother." Vados' eyes squinted as she tried to memorize every inch of the weapon through Whis' staff. Echoing his same thoughts, Whis looked at his sister in surprise.
"You as well, sister? I can't quite find the memory. I don't understand what is going on."
A portal opened up behind the pair, making both look back in surprise before relief flashed across their faces. They were right. Their father had sensed it as well.
"Whis, Vados. You two seem…concerned. I could feel your uncertainty from Universe 12." The Grand Minister said, walking up to the pair.
"Father…are you unaware of the mortal that has been possibly using a divine weapon?" Vados questioned.
"Hmmm." The Grand Minister took a look through his son's staff before a momentary look of shock flashed across his face.
"It's too early…" He silently said, but his children heard him.
"Father?" Whis had seen much in his long life, but to see his father surprised was something he couldn't imagine. His father always had the answers!
"The situation is graver than I expected. I am very much aware of…Shepard's actions. His older self's as well as this version. However, I must not get involved." The Grand Minister stated to the shock of his children.
"Father…he has broken Time. He is using a weapon meant for the Gods. Why is he getting such a pass?" Vados questioned her father, determined to get answers, but the Grand Minister would not be swayed.
"I cannot explain the actions of one so young without delving into the actions of one so very old. I had to make…concessions. Concessions which I cannot, will not explain any further…Not without the rest of your siblings present. I must meditate on this matter further. If I am to explain what is going on, I must do so with as clear of a head as possible." Whis was always one of the more observant of The Grand Minister's children, and he could swear he caught a fleeting feeling of…sadness? Sorrow? It was completely foreign to the Angel.
"Continue to observe the Saiyan's actions. Do so without raising your Gods of Destruction's awareness, nor will you interfere. I will contact you when I am ready." The Grand Minister turned on a dime, making a portal and walking back through.
"If…If I didn't know any better Whis, I would say Father was…"
"Very much so, Sister. It is not like our Father to be emotional. This Shepard affects The Grand Minister in some way I cannot quite fathom."
"I think we should consult with our other siblings, Whis." Vados left no room for argument, gathering her staff.
"Then we should make a stop to Universe 1 first. I assume we can keep the Destroyers occupied if we sense them active." Whis said, putting a hand on Vados' shoulder as she tapped it on the ground, taking off in a multi colored display!…
A lot to unpack for this chapter! The Grand Priest is onto Shepard! Will that spell problems for our Saiyan, young or old? Whis and Vados seem to have made plans of their own! How will that impact our story in the future? And I decided to make Tien an actual alien for this fanfic! Let me know what you think about the backstory. This will impact his growth and maybe set him apart from Yamcha and Krillin in different ways, as well as any other humans who may spring up later in our story. I'm not going to do any power levels for this chapter.
Next chapter, we catch up with our main protagonist. What has happened to Goku that has Raditz so concerned? Find out next time on Dragon Ball: BtG!
