"Magic?"
"Yes, sir."
"You just teleported outside the window?"
"Yes, sir."
"And after that, you exploded it to get inside?"
"Ey buddy, do you have a brain damage? Why do you have to repeat everything you were told with questions? If you're so dumb, then why are you even a principal? What idiot put you in that position?"
After getting to the office, the principal demanded an explanation of what happened. He had a hard time believing what he heard, but the presence of Bombinomicon made it way easier.
"Well, exuse me... Mr Bombinomicon that I want to understand what happened in the school that I am responsible for. I must be sure that everything is fine." Said the principal, desperately trying to make it seem like he wasn't scared.
"Oh no buddy, you're not excused! Your execution is scheduled for tomorrow morning, so don't be late, or else I will sic my handler on your family!" Responded the book with its usual giddiness.
"Don't drag me into your threats!" Then Midoriya looked who now looked like he was about to shit himself. "Don't worry, sir he's joking! At least I think so... I have nothing else to say to you, so can you let me go? With the... situation that happened earlier, I have already missed at least half of the class." He asked, hoping that the principal's fear before the book will outweigh the whole situation with the exploded window.
"Yes, of course you can go! But I still want you to come here after the classes so we can clarify a few things... After we all calmed down a bit."
"Thank you sir! Let's go Bombinomicon." Midoriya called the book.
"Fine, let's go to your boring ass class, buddy." Then the book turned back with its cover facing into the room. "Don't forget, buddy, we have connections in the right places!" It said before leaving the room behind the boy.
Now alone in his office, the principal started to scramble inside his desk, trying to find something that could 'alleviate' his worries at least temporarily. Not counting the first hour he still had many hours to relax and sober up.
'I just hope nothing bad happens for the rest of the day...
...
...
Damn... I fucked up just now, did I?'
When Midoriya finally found the classroom where everyone moved to, the class was halfway done. Fortunately it was just math, and one of those lessons where they repeated previously covered material, so he could successfully understand what was going on.
Despite Izuku's strive to have a 'normal' activity, he couldn't completely ignore frequent awkward moments of silence, constant glances of the teacher and his classmates directed at him, or at least at the little Bombinomicon that returned to its badge form, resting on his chest in its 'stand by' mode.
Unfortunately for Midoriya the class soon ended and as soon as the teacher left the room, telling everyone that their history teacher will come here after the break, Izuku was surrounded from all sides by his classmates.
"Did you really teleport outside the window?"
"Is that your quirk?"
"Are your glowing eyes a part of it?"
"How far can you go?"
"Can you control the destination?"
"Or is it random?"
"What was that creepy thing?"
"It is still here, look at his chest!"
"It's so tiny now!"
"Didn't it talk before?"
Part of Izuku was very confused and overwhelmed by the sudden attention from all of them. When he has his explosive entrance most of them were more focused on the glass shards and leaving the room. Now they surrounded him and were bombarding him with questions.
But another part of him had a sudden surge of clarity and understanding.
'So that's how people feel when I start talking about their quirks! No wonder I left such bad impression, especially when that was the first thing I did!'
"DEKU!" His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a yell and a loud pop coming from a palm slamming on the table in front of him. "Quit your mumbling, no one can hear what you say!"
'Huh, I did it again.' Midoriya looked up to look at the only person who can be this loud. "Hey Kacchan."
"What the hell was that, Deku?"
"Is this about me appearing outside the window or the window?"
"Both, you damn nerd! Did you finally get a quirk and the first thing you did was that?"
At the loss of words and not knowing how to properly explain everything, Midoriya went with the easiest.
"Magic."
"Magic?"
"Magic. It was not even a spell, I was just told to think about a pace to go really hard and here I am. Not exactly the right spot, but it's all about practice, I'm sure!"
Probably because 'magic' was such an outlandish answer that everyone stopped talking. Even Bakugou instead of his usual scowl when talking to Izuku had a poker face.
"And what is that thing?" He eventually asked after around a minute of silence.
"Oh, that's..."
"MAGIC!" Bellowed Bombinomicon in its usual surprise fashion, getting in the face and expanding to its usual size. Although Bakugou was the intended target of the jump scare, everyone standing around got spooked, and everyone around fell down like a domino.
"What the hell?" Asked Bakugou.
"Hehehehehe!" Laughed Bombinomicon.
'I hope no one smacked their head against a table when they fell down.' Thought Midoriya.
"Deku!"
"Ah! This is Bombinomicon, the magic book of bombs. It's very dangerous and you shouldn't touch it, it's dangerous. No one should touch it. I don't want to touch it."
"I want to touch myself, but can't, 'cause I'm a book! Get it?" It started rotating around, looking at everyone's faces. They were either confused or more preoccupied with helping each other get up from the pile of bodies of those who still couldn't get up. "You're no fun!"
"And you got glowing eyes and teleportation from this thing?"
"Well, yes. Eyes glow since yesterday evening... or more at night and that was actually the first time I teleported! I just have to practice a little bit with it! Bombinomicon said that I will be able to take others with me, so imagine what I can do with it as a hero! I can be a hero too, Kacchan!"
"Ey buddy, slow down! You make me look good!" Interjected the book. "I am a cursed magical object, not a spell book with instructions on 'how to be a hero'. Y'all hear me? I am dangerous!"
While Bakugou looked like he wanted to say something, but was more preoccupied with grinding his own teeth to dust, Midoriya continued with his positive attitude.
"It would be better if you would, but I wouldn't be able to get all of this without you!"
"Can I get a look inside of too then?" Someone from the crowd said and Bombinomicon was immediately snatched by some very long fingers stretched out from one of the schoolboys. "Fingers crossed I get superpowers!"
At that moment Midoriya understood that situation turned from 'potentially dangerous' to an almost 'FUBAR' level.
It was a risk bringing an a sealed Bombinomicon to a school, but he didn't have much of a choice. Merasmus told him to watch over the book and the book was told to not leave his side. And he couldn't stop it from 'hitching a ride' on his teleportation, not that he knew how it managed to do that.
And now basically a pariah, brought 'something cool' with him, one of a kind, a life changing thing from the sound of it. And the guy with the fingers was one of Bakugo's cronies for a long time, and making his life miserable was one of their favorite past times.
Of course such a teenager would immediately try to take it for himself and demonstratively use it. Even when Midoriya told him not to touch him, because it is dangerous. Even when the dangerous and mean looking book itself told everyone that it is dangerous.
And he was about to open it.
"NO!"
"Drop it, Fingers!"
"Don't worry Bakugou, I'll let you take a peak at it after this." The moment he opened the book and his eyes could see the contents of its pages, the very unfortunate and dumb teen took his hands of the book and covered his face with them. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"Page one hundred thirty six, ooooh, here we go, buddy!" Bombinomicon immediately closed itself and flew back to Midoriya's side.
"What does that mean?! What is happening to him?"
Midoriya was panicking, knowing that not even an hour after the last incident, shit happened again.
Now everyone's attention was focused on the screaming boy, who was flailing around not taking his hands off his face. Someone ran out of the room, calling for help, someone fell once again, others started dialing either for the police or for an ambulance. At one moment some yellow glowing liquid started to seep between the fingers of the book's victim.
"Well, he was warned that I am dangerous, it is his mistake!" In its usual fashion stated Bombinomicon.
Izuku was now at a loss for words. He didn't have questions. He didn't have anything to say.
He wanted to cry.
AN: I want to write something here just as much as I want to not write anything at all. But I will.
Thank you for your positive reviews.
Special thanks to poganator and Super heavy weapons guy. I hope you continue to enjoy this thing.
I hope I will successfully force myself to post a new chapter after this one before the new year, so will not wish you a happy New Year. Yet.
Have a great day, dear reader!
