The Fairy Tail guild hall was empty today and the doors were locked. No one took a job today and they all gathered in the cathedral. They are wearing nice suits and dresses because today was Ben and Mira's wedding day. 2 months had passed since Ben proposed to Mira.
Ben was sitting in the front with the boys from the guild, wearing a black suit. He has a new hairstyle too, a rather short undercut style. He hadn't cut his hair in a few months so he looks very fresh now.
When Al and Bisca got married, he told Al not to be nervous, but he is quite nervous now. The pressure is stronger than he thought. He was never this nervous even when he fought life and death battles.
Sometime later, the ceremony finally started, and the priest called for him to stand on the altar. The priest gave a short speech before calling the bride to enter. Mira entered the cathedral while holding Elfman's hand with Lisanna and her sisters behind them as bridesmaids along with some girls.
Ben always thought that grooms were exaggerating their reactions when they see their brides. But now he understood why they reacted like that because he was in the same situation. Mira wore a veil, but he could see she was really beautiful today.
His eyes are glued on Mira as she walks down the aisle. Everything other than Mira has disappeared from his sight. She wore a simple and normal wedding dress, but it was enough to take Ben's breath away. The priest even needed to return him to his senses when Mira stepped onto the altar.
"I know what you're feeling, but don't be overwhelmed. This is a once in a lifetime moment, so you can't mess it up." The priest said.
"Alright, I was just stunned. The beautiful girl has become a stunning woman." Ben admitted with a smile.
Mira blushed and pinched Ben's waist because it is too embarrassing. He flinched in pain and almost everyone there laughs at the scene. This stopped Ben from feeling nervous and Mira was no longer nervous either.
The ceremony resumes and it proceeds without any problem. Both groom and bride accept each other as husband and wife obviously. Everyone claps their hands and congratulates both of them as they kiss.
After finishing the ceremony in the cathedral, they head outside. There are so many people outside, mostly the townsfolk. Some of Ben and Mira's acquaintances from other guilds, organizations, etc also came.
Ben and Mira wave their hands and everybody cheered happily. Though many men and women were crying seeing them together. Ben is famous and many women like him. Mira was also famous as she was a popular model, so many men have a crush on her.
They are jealous but they are also happy that their idols found happiness. Well, they just realized that what they were feeling wasn't love, but admiration, and purely idolizing the 2. That's why they feel jealous but also happy for Ben and Mira.
Suddenly, booms were heard, and people are panicking. But they all calm down immediately and even smile when they see colorful flower petals fall from the sky. Mira looked at Ben who smiled and winked his left eye.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Mira asked.
"It's not a surprise if I tell you, is it?" Ben asked back.
"But those explosions might've given me a heart attack. I thought we were being attacked for real." Mira said.
"As if the S-Class mage Mirajane will suffer a heart attack from these kinds of explosions. Also, only idiots would attack us right now." Ben rolled his eyes.
"Well, some old people might suffer heart attacks, you know." Mira pointed out.
"Just tell me if you like the surprise or not." Ben sighed in exhaustion.
"I love it." Mira said with a smile.
The rain of flower petals ended after a few minutes and then she wants to throw a flower bouquet. Many girls run forward to compete for the bouquet while their boyfriends try to stop them but to no avail.
Mira turned around before throwing the bouquet behind her. The girls are rampaging as they try to catch the bouquet. They transform from pretty girls into hideous-looking creatures who trample over their competition.
Ben even needed to teleport over and cover his sister's eyes. This is not an appropriate sight for these little girls. He doesn't want his sisters to act like that in the future. Ladies need to act and appear like ladies.
In the end, Cana was the one who caught the bouquet, even trampling over Titania, and she is very happy about it even though she is single. Gildarts, who witnessed it, doesn't seem very happy though. He stands behind his daughter while looking at every guy there with menacing eyes.
Anyway, after that, they start a parade with the newlywed couple touring around the town. It wasn't Ben's idea, but the townsfolk's request. Not everyone could enter the cathedral as there wasn't enough space.
So the townsfolk and even the mayor asked Ben and Mira to go around the town with a decorated vehicle. But they can't go alone with just one car. That's why they went with the other Fairy Tail mages using a lot of decorated cars, turning this into a parade.
Words of congratulations can be heard or read along the way. Almost everyone in the town knew Ben and Mira. Well, who wouldn't know about the previous guild master who improved the town and the most famous model in their town?
They go around for a few hours because they moved slowly. If Ben, Mira and the others weren't mages, they would've collapsed from exhaustion. They were fine though and they will start another event after resting for a bit.
In the town plaza, a big stage was being set up. It's a round stage without a roof so it can be seen from every angle. It's quite high but not too high so people can easily see the people on stage.
This stage is used for entertainment, just like what a stage should be used for. Ben had poured a lot of money into this, but he thinks it is necessary because there are so many people who came to bless him and Mira, so he needs to give them some entertainment.
Ben and Mira sit on a seat positioned rather high in the middle of the stage. Then several performances were presented on stage. Musicians, dancers, comedians, theater and even random performances from Fairy Tail mages and random people who were allowed to perform on the stage.
The people are enjoying it while eating the food prepared by food stalls and restaurants. All the food and drinks are free today because they're gifts from the townsfolk for Ben and Mira. They didn't let the 2 pay them but both of them provide all the meat and some ingredients.
Everyone is happy at the wedding party that became a mini festival. It's just like a royal wedding between a prince and princess. Ben is happy seeing his friends and acquaintances happy. Internally, he is crying because his pocket is thinner.
'Let's not be stingy. I was a guild master, am a Wizard Saint, an S-Class mage, a rising company owner and one of the wealthiest mages on Ishgar. My current wealth is on par with high-ranking nobles so this level of wedding party is appropriate.' Ben thought as he tried to calm himself down.
When the party almost came to a end that night, Ben and Mira gave a speech to display their gratitude. People clapped and they were just about to return to their seats. Ben suddenly stopped Mira with a smile and he suddenly sang.

Mira was surprised but then she smiles and holds Ben's hand as he sings. The audience also smiled and waved their hands.

Everyone clapped as Ben finished the song and then he tells them that he has another song for Mira. He flicks his fingers and the band starts to play the music.

He finished the song and people were clapping again. Mira also praised him for his performance and he just smiled while thanking Elvis and Shane in his heart. After that, the wedding party ended with a dance session for the newlywed couple and other couples there. Then the tiring but fun day in Magnolia was finally over.
