Sherlock's Witch

Sherlock Holmes was enjoying the company of a woman for the first time because his former flatmate, Dr. John Watson had married the love of his life and had moved out. However, Mrs. Hudson was completely shocked when a young woman had in and asked about an ad in the paper for a flatmate in 221B.
"Miss, you do realize that the one asking for a new flatmate is a a man, right?" Mrs. Judson questioned.
"Yes, but I trust that he has common sense as any man would." The woman said.
"Well, I will let you be the judge of that, but I will warn you that Sherlock Holmes can be a bit strange." Mrs. Judson said.
The woman just laughed and said, "I believe that Mr. Holmes and myself will get along. However, I am curious about him."
Time Skip: A few years later *
Sherlock Holmes and Harriet Potter were still flatmates. Sherlock was amazed by Harriet as they got to know each other and became friends as well as colleagues in a sense like he had with John. The only difference was that Harriet was a woman and people were beginning to think that her and Sherlock were dating each other including Sherlock's brother, Mycroft was considered that his little brother was dating her secretly.
Mrs. Judson was shocked one evening when Sherlock was carrying Miss Potter up the stairs to their shared flat and she heard Miss Potter call Sherlock, darling. That she asked curiously, "Sherlock, are you dating Miss Potter?"
Sherlock reluctantly answered by saying, "Mrs. Judson, apparently mine and Miss Potter's friendship has indeed become something more. However, tonight while helping me with a case; she injured her ankle thus I'm carrying her up the stairs because she cannot put pressure on it."
As soon as Sherlock entered the flat with Harriet still in his arms; he walked over to the couch and gently placed her on the couch then propped her foot upon a pillow and made sure that she was comfortable.
Several minutes later, John and his wife decided to visit Sherlock. They were surprised to see a young woman sitting on Sherlock's sofa well couch with her foot propped up on a pillow.
"Who are you, Miss?" John asked looking at the young woman.
The young woman looked at John with her head tilted a bit. However, before Harriet could answer; Sherlock said, "John, this is Harriet. She's my new flatmate and yes, John, I am aware that she is a woman and that people are not exactly pleased to hear that a woman unmarried is living with me. But Harriet chose to be my flatmate on her own and people don't realize that she has been helpful to me with some of my more difficult cases that are completely unbelievable at times."
John's and Mary's went wide at hearing that. Then Mary looked at Harriet and asked, "From a woman's point of view, what is your opinion about Sherlock Holmes, Harriet?"
Harriet looked at Mary and answered, "Honestly, Sherlock is an amazing person with such intelligence that sometimes I find myself surprised by it. He sorta helped me see things from a different perspective of the life lived before meeting him or a different angle if you will."
Sherlock grunted and was somewhat upset but carried on with what he was doing.
"What do you mean?" John questioned looking at Harriet.
"Well, when I met Sherlock, I was actually grieving and suffering from PTSD but I hid it well. He noticed it right off, of course and deduced it from merely looking at me; which I admit that it did catch me off guard. However, I didn't expect his reaction when he deduced correctly of what my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin had to me growing up. He was very upset by it and said that they should've been reported for what they had done. I told him that the time that most people believed what they were told about me and that it wouldn't have done any good." Harriet said.
John and Mary were very surprised by this bit of information.
"Care to explain, Miss?" Mary said.
Before Harriet could say anything; Sherlock said bluntly while still working, "Miss Potter's parents were killed when she was a year-old by a mad man who tried to kill her as well. Miss Potter's Aunt along with her family didn't exactly like Miss Potter or her parents. By the time that Miss Potter was thirteen; she had faced her parents' killer at least twice if you don't count when she was a toddler and then she managed find out that her Godfather, Sirius Orion Black who happened to be a Noble Lord had been falsely accused of betraying her parents without any evidence that he had. Then she had to face the mad man again when she was fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, and finally when she was seventeen."
John looked at Sherlock in shock at hearing that.
"However, Mr. Sherlock Holmes, it doesn't exactly explain why she is living with you when you are considered a bachelor?" Mary said.
Harriet huffed which caused Sherlock to look at her and said, "Ah, yes, I seem to have forgotten that a rumor has started that Lady Potter and I are in courtship of sorts. Which Lady Potter deems an incredible notion considering that Lady Potter chose to live with me on her own. However, it apparently it doesn't bother her of the rumors."
"And why doesn't it bother her?!" Mary and John questioned.
Before Sherlock could answer; Harriet said, "Because all my life people have jumped to conclusions about me. I simply ignore the gossip since it made my life a living nightmare. However, if Sherlock wishes to court/date me that is his personal business and no one else's. "
Sherlock blinked as did John.
"But people will call you a harlot or a whore!" Mary said shocked.
"Mrs. Watson, are you suggesting that Sherlock Holmes and I are to act as if we are in a relationship? Or we should be in a relationship?" Harriet questioned curiously.
Mary blinked and then said, "Yes, because your virtue a woman is at stake. It also means that Sherlock Holmes is at stake ad well."
Sherlock and Harriet looked at each other then looked at Mary and John. Sherlock then said, "I suppose that would explain why Lestraide would constantly tell Harriet and myself that we acted like a married couple that one time that you and I disagreed on something when we were on an unusual case together."
"I suppose so, Sherlock. For all, Lestraide and Mrs. Hudson knows; we could've secretly married and not make it public because we didn't no one to know." Harriet stated sarcastically.
Sherlock chuckled at Harriet's sarcasm.
"What?!" John and Mary said shocked.
