This is a sonnet that I wrote for my literature class. Javert is sitting at his window looking for Valjean, the ever-present yet elusive force in his life.

He left without a second thought, never worrying about what would happen to her or their child. She loved him with all her heart, even after his betrayal. A life begins to change when he finds himself dreaming of the girl he left behind years before. Is there hope for someone so fallen as he? And can forgiveness ever be found? (Rated T, just to be safe, for mature themes. )

Jean Valjean enjoys a quiet Christmas at Rue Plumet with his daughter and Toussaint. The weight of their future lies heavily upon the meeting. Canon-compliant.

It was a well-known fact amongst Enjolras's friends that he didn't understand the concept of stopping for breath or stopping in general because it's quite possible he's been awake for three days straight, bordering on four which was beyond a joke. Javert got hurt in the line of duty. Valjean is there when he wakes up at the hospital and he is not happy.

If Enjolras was the sun, Grantaire would have to think of himself as Icarus—rash, adventurous, and unable to look away from the light that shone into his world.
