Christmas NiGHTS (A NiGHTS Adaptation Story)

On Christmas Eve night, the city was filled with Christmas lights and decorations.
The people of Twin Seeds had been crowded on the streets because they were looking for presents.
Among them, are two teenagers named Elliot Edwards & Claris Sinclair, who are dressed-up for Christmas that their parents got for them.
Elliot was wearing his red Santa shirt with white fur trim, and red & white trousers, and two-toned blue boots.
And Claris was wearing her red Santa dress with white fur trim, knee high red boots with white fur trim and her hair down, pulled back in a white band.
Two of them were seen, walking down the streets of Twin Seeds.
"So Claris, how was the Nativity show?" Elliot asked.
"It was good." Claris said.
"You got to be a role of Mary," said Elliot.
"Yes, and how are you?" Claris said.
"Me and my friends had fun, playing snowball fight." Elliot told her.
"Oh, sounds fun." Claris replies.
"Yeah, and my mother got me this beautiful Christmas outfit!" Elliot said.
"Me too, my father got me this lovely Christmas dress," said Claris.
"Sounds wonderful! So where can we go first?" Elliot asks.
"Should we go shopping?" Claris asks.
"That sounds like a great idea!" Elliot said.
So the teens decided to go shopping and looks at Christmas presents, toys and desserts.
Elliot looks at the toy train while Claris started to look at the sweets.
But then, Claris came across a cake with five-colorful candles that is red, white, yellow, green and blue.
"Hey, those candles looked familiar." Claris thought to herself, it reminded her a time when she and Elliot had an adventure with NiGHTS while getting their Ideyas back. "That's the Ideya Palace where NiGHTS had been imprisoned and our Ideyas had been stolen!"
Elliot was still looking at the wooden toys. "Claris, did you ever seen beautiful toys like this before?"
Elliot then noticed Claris was looking at the cake with five-colored candles.
"Claris, you're feeling alright?" Elliot asks her.
Claris got little startled and looks at his boyfriend.
"Huh? Oh yeah, I was looking at the delicious sweets like cookies, cupcakes and cakes. The one with the colorful candles on it." Claris said.
"Let me see." Elliot said.
Elliot then looks at the five-colorful candles on the Christmas cake. His eyes widened in surprise that he and Claris had an adventure with NiGHTS and defeating Wizeman.
"You know, it kinda reminds me of the Ideya Palace where NiGHTS had been held captive." Elliot said.
"Yeah. But anyway, wanna go look at the Christmas lights?" Claris asks Elliot.
"Sure, that'll keep our Christmas spirits!" Elliot said to Claris.
"You had to say it, didn't you?" Claris asks him.
"Yeah, let's go." Elliot said.
Elliot and Claris then walked out of the store and continued walking down the snowy streets.

A few minutes later, Elliot and Claris had came across the tower that its decorated as a Christmas tree.
Claris grabbed Elliot by the arm and points at the tower.
"Elliot, look!" Claris said, pointing at the Seeds Tower. "It's the Seeds Tower and it's decorated as a tree!"
"Woah, isn't it wonderful?" Elliot asks her.
"Yeah, but look at it, it's decorated with ornaments and Christmas lights." Claris said to Elliot.
"I guess they're just in time for Christmas Eve." Elliot said to Claris and she nodded "But there's something missing." Claris wondered.
The teens started to think about what was missing for the Seeds Tower.
Luckily, Elliot figured out what was seemed to be missing… a star for the Christmas tree.
"Claris, I think I figured it out, the Christmas star for the tree!" Elliot said.
"I think you're right! Someone forgot to put the star on top!" Claris said.
"Maybe someone forgot about the star." Elliot told her.
"Or maybe Christmas will be ruined." Claris told him.
"I don't think Christmas will be ruined, Claris." Elliot said.
"Oh yeah, right. But what can we do?" Claris asks.
"Yeah, what can we do?" Elliot wondered.
Elliot and Claris started to think about what they're gonna do, then they both had an idea.
"Hey, why don't we go to Spring Valley and find our friend NiGHTS?" Claris asks Elliot.
"That sounds great! We can find our friend and help us find the Christmas Star!" Elliot said to Claris.
"Yeah, do you know what time it is?" Claris asks him.
"Yeah! It's time to visit Nightopia for Christmas!" Elliot said.
"But how can we get there?" Claris wondered.
"Maybe we can sleep on the snowy bank and after that, we'll get to Nightopia!" Elliot said.
"But Elliot, are you sure that's a good idea? We might catch a cold!" Claris said to his boyfriend.
"Don't worry, Claris. Our Christmas outfits will keep us warm, trust me." Elliot said to his girlfriend.
"Okay, if that's your idea… then let's do it." Claris said as she sighed.
"Great! Ready?" Elliot asks her.
"I'm ready," said Claris.
"To Nightopia we go!" They said as they both fell onto the snowy banks and fell asleep.

When they woke up, the find themselves back in Spring Valley where its covered in snow and the trees have been decorated as Christmas trees.
"Wow!" They both said.
"Look at the place, it's Christmas everything!" Claris said.
"Yeah, there's snow and the trees have been decorated with Christmas lights." Elliot said.
Just then, they looked at the Nightopians that are wearing Christmas outfits.
"The Nightopians are dressed-up for Christmas too!" Claris said.
The teens look at the fairies building snowman, making snow angels, singing songs and playing snowball fight.
"And I think they're getting ready for Christmas." Elliot said.
"You said it. Come on, let's go find NiGHTS so we can get the Christmas Star!" Claris said.
"Yeah, let's go!" said Elliot.

The kids then walked down to see the Nightopians as they looked at the dreamers and welcomes them.
"Hello there," said Claris, waving.
"Good to see you again!" Elliot said, waving.
"We were looking for our friend, NiGHTS. Have you seen them?" Claris asks them.
"We need to find the Christmas Star." Elliot tells them.
Aware to them, several Nightmarens appeared behind the snow banks as they looked at the visitors and the Nightopians.
The Nightopians saw the dark creatures and flys away in fright.
"Hey! Where are you fairies going?" Elliot shouted.
"I think they're running away from something." Claris said.
"From who?" Elliot asks his girlfriend.
Claris turned and saw the Nightmarens came out from the snow, Elliot turned and saw the Nightmarens.
"It's the Nightmarens!" Claris shouted, pointing at them.
"What are they doing here on Christmas Eve?" Elliot questioned.
But then, the Nightmarens had took all of their Ideyas (except the red Ideyas) and places them into a Christmas tree-styled Ideya capsules.
The teens groaned as they got up from the snow.
"What was that about?" Elliot said, rubbing his back from pain.
"The Nightmarens had stolen our Ideyas, we have to get them back!" Claris said.
"But first, we gotta find NiGHTS!" Elliot said to Claris.
"You're right, come on!" Claris said to her boyfriend.

Claris and Elliot looks around, trying to find NiGHTS when she found the jester inside the Ideya Palace that is decorated as a cake with five-colorful candles.
"Elliot, there's the palace… and it's decorated as a cake!" Claris said.
"And there's NiGHTS!" Elliot said, pointing at them.
"Come on!" Claris said.
They both started running up to the Ideya Palace. Once they got there, they noticed that the jester had a different outfit for Christmas.
NiGHTS had been wearing a red-&-white Santa-like outfit for Christmas.
"NiGHTS!" Elliot and Claris exclaim out loud.
NiGHTS hears them and looks at their friends, standing there.
"Elliot! Claris! It's great to see you again!" NiGHTS greeted, waving at them.
"Hey NiGHTS, glad we make it," said Claris.
"NiGHTS, we're gonna need your help." Elliot said to NiGHTS.
"What's the problem?" NiGHTS asks them.
"You see, when me and Claris saw the Seeds Tower that is decorated as a Christmas tree, we realized that the Christmas Star is missing." Elliot explained.
"And it looks-like this!" Claris said, pulling out a picture of a Christmas Star.
"Hmm, I think I can help you kids finding a star… but I'm kinda trapped inside the dome." NiGHTS said.
"What happened?" They both asked.
"Gillwing and the Nightmarens had shows up and imprisoned me inside this dome." NiGHTS told them.
"And what are the Nightmarens up to?" Claris asks.
"They decided to hurt the Nightopians while Gillwing… has to guard a Christmas star." NiGHTS told the teens.
Claris & Elliot looked at each other in shock.
"That's terrible!" Elliot pouted.
"So he's the one who has the Christmas Star!" Claris said.
"Also, they took our Ideyas away!" Elliot said.
"Yeah, those Nightmarens are gonna ruin Christmas in Nightopia," said NiGHTS.
"What can we do to help you?" Claris asks.
"You two will have to dualize with me, if we wanna save Nightpia and Christmas!" NiGHTS said, rasing their hands out to the dreamers.
"NiGHTS, you can count us in!" Claris said.
"We'll help out defeat Gillwing and retrieve the Christmas Star!" Elliot said.
"Thank you, children. Now let's go save Nightopia!" NiGHTS said.
They both placed their hands into the jester's hands and they formed into double NiGHTS.
"Alright Claris, we have to spilt-up and get our Ideyas back, if we want to defeat Gillwing." Elliot said.
"That sounds like a great idea!" Claris said.
"Let's do this!" They both said.
Both NiGHTS then fly off in any direction as they began collecting blue chips to open the Ideya capsules. While they're collecting chips, they drill-dash and paraloop the Nightmarens when they're about to hurt the Nightopians.
Once they collect enough blue chips, Elliot and Claris had destroyed all the Ideya capsules and got all of their Ideyas back.
"We did it! We got all of our Ideyas back!" Claris said.
"Yes! Now it's time to face-off against Gillwing!" Elliot said.
"To the Ideya Palace!" NiGHTS said.
They both flew into the palace's dome and zoomed upwards into the darkness above.

They found themselves in Gillwing's lair where it's decorated with Christmas stuff and presents, purple nebulas, gems spinning around the tree in the center of the stage.
"This is Gillwing's lair?" Elliot asks NiGHTS.
"Yeah, this is where me and Claris defeated him while on our journey." NiGHTS told him.
"But where is he?" Claris asks.
"And where's the star?" Elliot asked.
Suddenly, they heard all loud-roaring sound coming from nowhere.
"What was that?!" Elliot wondered.
"It's Gillwing! He's about to come in!" NiGHTS said to the dreamers.
Just then, Gillwing appeared, who had different colors. He was red and green instead of green and blue. His wings are purple and his tail has red, yellow and green stripes and pink and orange spikes. In the back of its tail, was the Twin Seeds Christmas tree star.
"There's a Christmas star!" Claris said.
"And it's on the back of his tail!" Elliot said.
"But how can we get it?" Claris asks.
"We defeat him," said NiGHTS.
"Defeat him? Are you sure?" Elliot asks.
"Of course I am. Here's the plan: Claris, you paraloop on the back of his tail. Elliot, you'll grab and tear off his head." NiGHTS told them about their plan.
"Great idea!" They both said.
"Alright, let's go save Christmas!" NiGHTS said.
Both then fly off in different directions as Gillwing roars loudly.
Claris started paralooping around Gillwing's tail and making him spinning.
"I got him!" Claris said.
Elliot then drill-dash into Gillwing, grabs it and tears his head off.
"Head's popped!" Elliot said.
"Alright, two more to go!" NiGHTS said.
"What? Why?" Claris asks.
NiGHTS pointed at the tail and his head grew back.
"Oh, it grows his head back." Elliot said.
"Let's try that again!" Claris said.
Claris then paraloops the tail and Elliot grabs the head, then tears it off.
"One more to go!" NiGHTS said.
"So we can get the star!" Elliot said.
"For the Twin Seeds' Christmas tree!" Claris said.
Gillwing's grew back and starts to roar loudly at them.
"This time, let's paraloop around his tail!" Elliot said.
"Sounds great! Come on!" Claris said.
Both NiGHTS then started to paraloop around his tail, causing him to be defeated.
The Christmas Star then flew off his tail and lands on top of the Christmas tree.
Both NiGHTS then undualized, leaving one NiGHTS there.
"We did it! We got the Christmas Star!" Claris said.
"And Gillwing's defeated once and for all!" Elliot said.
"But look, the Christmas star is glowing in different colors!" NiGHTS said, pointing at the glowing star in seven colors.
"Beautiful!" They both said in unison.
"Come on, let's head back to Spring Valley and show it to the Nightopians." NiGHTS said to them.
NiGHTS and the children then takes the glowing star and zooms into the starry, night sky.

They landed back in Spring Valley where the Nightopians are cheering for them.
"Hey guys, we're back." NiGHTS told them.
"And look what we found!" Elliot said to them.
"A Christmas star that glows in different colors!" Claris told the fairies.
The Christmas star began to glow with different colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple & white) as the Nightopians watched in amazed.
"It'll be good for the Seeds' Christmas tree!" Elliot said, smiling.
"Yeah, so let's take it back to Twin Seeds and…" Claris began to say when the Christmas began to move.
"What's happening?" Elliot asks.
The glowing Christmas star flys up into the sky and disappeared.
"Hey! Where'd the star go?" Claris asks as the Nightopians looked at each other.
"I guess the Christmas Star will be on the Christmas tree, once again!" NiGHTS told the teens.
"Aw man, we didn't get a star for the Christmas tree." Elliot said, feeling sad.
"Yeah, we worked together to get that star." Claris sighed.
"Don't feel sad, kids. I'm sure there will be a real Christmas Star in Twin Seeds." NiGHTS told their friends.
"It is?" They both asked.
"Yeah, you two will see the real Christmas Star for the Seeds' Christmas tree." NiGHTS said.
"Oh, cool!" They both said.
"And I also have two special presents for you," said NiGHTS.
"You do?" Claris asks.
"Yeah, I made it by myself." NiGHTS said, pulling out two presents.
One present is a red box with a green ribbons for Clair's Sinclair, the other one is a yellow box with a blue ribbon.
"Thanks!" They both said, grabbing their presents.
The teens looked at each other and looks away as NiGHTS and the Nightopians watched them. Elliot and Claris closed their eyes as they opened their presents. They both turned and opened their eyes, then looks at each other.
"Claris, what did you get?" Elliot asks her.
"Yeah, but Elliot, what did you get?" Claris asks him.
They both pulled out items from their presents and it was two pictures frames.
One picture frame represents Elliot Edwards and the other one represents Claris Sinclair.
"Claris," he said.
"Elliot," she said.
"All I Want for Christmas… is you!" They both said, showing their new gifts as the others gasped in surprise.
"Huh?" Elliot questioned.
"What I said is… all I want for Christmas is you." Claris said to Elliot.
"Well, that's what I'm gonna say. I want for Christmas is you, Claris." Elliot said to her.
"I'm so glad I'm having Christmas with you, Elliot!" Claris said.
"Me too!" Elliot said.
"Wanna sing a duet together?" Claris asks Elliot.
"I'd like to!" Elliot said.
"Okay, but you can be first… right after me!" Claris said, giggling.
"I can't believe this is happing right now!" Elliot said.
The Nightopians pulled out their instruments as the music started up.

Claris: I-I-I don't want a lot for Christmas,
There is just one thing I need,
I don't care about the presents,
Underneath the Christmas tree.
Elliot: I just want you for my own,
More than you could ever know.
Both: Make my wish come true,
All I want for Christmas is you…

Claris: I don't want a lot for Christmas,
There is just one thing I need.
Elliot: What's that?
Claris: I don't care about the presents,
Underneath the Christmas tree.
Elliot: I see!
Claris: I don't need to hang my stockin',
There upon the fireplace.
Elliot: Mmhmm!
Santa Claus won't make me happy,
With a toy on Christmas day.

Claris and Elliot: I just want you for my own,
More than you could ever know.
Claris: Make my wish come true.
Claris and Elliot: All I want for Christmas is you ooh-ooh-ooh,
You-ooh, baby.

Claris: Elliot!

Elliot: I won't ask for much this Christmas,
I won't even wish for snow.
Claris: No snow?
Elliot: I just wanna keep on waitin'
Underneath the mistletoe!
Claris: Kiss me!
Elliot: I won't make a list and send it,
To the North Pole for Saint Nick.
Claris: Mmmm-Hmm!
Elliot: I won't even stay awake To hear those magic reindeer click

They both hugged while NiGHTS and the Nightopians watches them as they smiled.
NiGHTS came up to them and they hugged together.
"This is a best present ever!" Elliot said, smiling.
"Yeah, this is gonna be the best Christmas ever!" Claris said, smiling.
"Yeah, and I think it's time for you both to wake up!" NiGHTS told them.
They both stopped hugging and looks at NiGHTS.
"Waking up? Oh yeah, we forgot about that!" Claris said.
"Do you think we're gonna see you during Christmas Eve?" Elliot asks their friend.
"I don't know, but I will probably find out someday." NiGHTS replied.
"Okay!" Elliot said.
"And I hope you two have a merry Christmas." NiGHTS said.
"You too!" Elliot said.
Elliot & Claris hold hands together and looks at NiGHTS and the Nightopians waving goodbyes to them.
"Goodbye, everyone! Merry Christmas!" Elliot & Claris said as they vanished into the starry sky.
"Farewell, my dreamers!" NiGHTS said as the Nightopians started to play in the snow.

After that, Claris & Elliot woke up and find themselves back in Twin Seeds as they looked each other They got up from the snow banks and looks at the Christmas Tree.
"We're home!" Elliot said to her "Yeah, but the Seeds Tower doesn't have a Christmas Star yet." Claris said to him.
"So, what can we do now?" Elliot asks his girlfriend.
"Wanna continue shopping?" Claris asks her boyfriend.
"That'll work," Elliot replies.
Claris then runs off to the streets and looks back at Elliot.
"Come on, Elliot!" Claris called, waving at him.
Elliot smiled and started running up to her. All of a sudden, Elliot slipped onto the icy patch on the street. Claris noticed that Elliot was about to crash into her.
"Elliot, look out!" Claris yelled.
"I can't!" Elliot yelled.
They both crashed into each other as they fell down.
"You okay?" Elliot asks her.
"Yeah, I'm okay now." Claris said to him.
Everyone looked and gathered around the teens as they got up.
"Are you alright?" A person said.
"Did you fell?" Another person said.
"Did you two bumped your heads?" A women said.
Claris & Elliot looked at each other and they remembered something, they already have their Christmas spirits inside themselves.
"Hey! It's okay, it was an icy patch," Elliot said to the people.
"But I think we still have our Christmas spirits," Claris said to the people.
"Yeah, I think me and Claris are feeling… cheerful!" Elliot spoke to everyone.
The citizens look at each other and begins to laugh.
Elliot & Claris got up from the ground as everyone walks away from them.
"Sorry that I crashed into you," said Elliot, apologizing to her.
"It's okay, you don't have to say sorry to me." Claris said.
"Yeah, I almost hurt my head." Elliot said.
"Come on, let's go shopping!" Claris said as she grabbed Elliot by his arm.

After they looked at toys and sweets, they walked back to the Seeds Tower (as a Christmas tree) and noticed that they saw a Christmas star on top of the tree.
"Elliot, look! It's the Christmas star!" Claris said.
"I guess we found it, huh?" Elliot asks her.
"Yeah, I wish NiGHTS was here to see this." Claris said to Elliot.
"Me too, but do you think NiGHTS is gonna be there for Christmas?" Elliot asks her.
"I think so, but I think we had our Christmas adventure in Nightopia." Claris told her.
"And what about the glowing star?" Elliot asked.
"Yes, the glowing star. But I think we'll be together for Christmas… in our dreams!" Claris said to him.
"Always?" Elliot asked.
"Always," said Claris.
They both kissed on their lips and looked up to see snowflakes tumbling down from the night sky, making them giggled.
"It's snowing!" Elliot said.
"Yeah, wanna sing a Christmas song?" Claris asks him.
"Really? Of course!" Elliot said to her.
"Okay! Remember the song we sang during our 100th anniversary?" Claris asked.
"Yes I do!" Elliot said.
They both closed their eyes and began to sing their duet song.

Claris: In a dream I can see,
You are not far away,
Anytime, anyplace,
I can see your face.
You are that special one,
That I've been waiting for,
And I hope you're looking for,
Someone like me.

Elliot: In my dreams,
I can hear you calling me.
In the night, everything's so sweet,
In your eyes, I feel, there's so much, inside…

They hold hands and began to slow-dance together.

Claris & Elliot: In the NiGHTS, dream delight,
I want to see you standing there,
In the NiGHTS, dream delight, I've found someone who really cares,
In the NiGHTS, dream delight,
I want to see you smile again,
In the NiGHTS, dream delight,
You are the one I've waited for.

Claris: In a dream we can do,
Everything we want to,
There's nowhere I'd rather be,
But here with you.
The stars above light the way,
Only for you and I,
I'm so glad I've found the one,
I've been looking for.

Elliot: Keep the dream,
Of the one your hoping for,
Love can come,
through an open door,
Just be strong,
and you're sure, to find, the one…

"Merry Christmas, Claris." Elliot said.
"Merry Christmas to you, Elliot." Claris said.
They both looked at the Seeds Tower as Claris leaned her head onto Elliot's shoulder, making them blushed.
"Merry Christmas, NiGHTS," they both said.
Meanwhile, NiGHTS stood on top of the Christmas star while playing their dream flute.
"Merry Christmas, Claris & Elliot." NiGHTS said, winking at them.
