It started out like every other day but what Jack didn't know was that day was the worst day of his life. But before I recap the story of what happened toJack on that island we need to talk about Jack's past.

You see Jack was a US Navy seal back in the day. Jack was a great soldier but he could never get along with his CO. So as you can imagine they were constantly butting heads over the most tedious of things.

"Carver", Burns yelled as he saw Carver was not at his post again.

Carver jumped up as he dropped his cigarette on the floor just as he turned to see Burns staring down at him.

"Carver, why are you not at your post and what the hell is this", Burns said as he picked up the fallen cigarette.

Burns smelled the cigarette and made a face.

"Contraband", Burns said sternly as he punched Carver in the gut.

"This is the second time this week that I caught you slacking off Carver. Next time consider yourself out on your ass and on notice", Burns intimidated.

Burns walked away as Carver went back to his post

Carver hated being in the navy he just didn't like to follow orders.

Just then the ship came under attack by a band of pirates. Carver and Burns did their best to save who they could but suddenly Carver made the mistake of being too close to the fuel drums. Before he knew it a stray bullet came and hit those drums which sent Carver right into the water.

Carver was captured and held prisoner by the pirates. Carver managed to escape successfully on his own. Carver was on his own and on the run since then. He was pronounced killed in action by the navy but that obviously wasn't the entire truth. Eventually Jack ended up in the Bahamas where he got his hands on a boat and started giving rich people tours of the Caribbean.

Although Jack did miss the action that came with being a seal but eventually he unexpectedly got his wish when he met a woman named Val. Val was a CIA agent who posed as a tourist to use Jack to sail her to an island where Doyle requested her assistance. When they arrived Val took hundreds of pictures during their entire voyage. She did have the look part after all. But when they got there Val paid Jack to use his jet ski. Unfortunately when she left Jack there all by his lonesome mercs came and attacked his boat. At first Jack mistaken them for local authorities but he realized too late that he was dealing with some nasty people. The choppers blew his boat up as Jack bolted into the water. To Jack it felt like he was back in the Pacific when he got captured by Asian pirates of some kind during his last days in the US Navy. But this was different that time around Jack wasn't in the navy anymore. Not to mention civilian life had made Jack more laid back than he had thought. When Jack finally reached the shore the mercs dispersed as they had thought that he was dead in the water somewhere or at least that was the conclusion that Jack trusted. Jack found himself inside a man made tunnel. As he ventured deeper into it he heard a radio in the distance. Jack despite his better judgment he answered the radio.

"Who is this", Jack asked.

"A friend. Are you the guy in the ridiculous red shirt that everyone is talking about", the other man inquired.

"What are you talking about", Jack wondered.

"You're the guy who just lost his boat right", Doyle asked.

"Yeah but this red shirt guy sounds like a pretty handsome guy", Jack said as he smiled.

"Referring yourself in third person huh", Doyle replied.

"And how would you know that", Jack remarked.

"Because I am the one Val is looking for. The agency knows all about you Carver", Doyle said suddenly.

Jack's eyes widened in response to that as he could not believe that this total stranger knew that much about him.

"Surprised Jack", Doyle added.

"So you know me but I don't know you", Jack replied.

"I know that you're a former navy seal adjusting to civilian life. However the navy still thinks you're dead somehow", Doyle unveiled.

"Who exactly are you", Jack demanded.

"You can call me Doyle", Doyle revealed.

"Funny because you don't sound like a Doyle", Jack remarked.

"And you aren't a wood carver yet that's your name apparently", Doyle remarked back.

"So Val is an agent of this agency too I guess", Jack concluded.

"Yes she used you to get to me unfortunately she might have been captured. Look Jack I know you have no reason to trust me but allow me to give you one. I am your best chance of getting off this island alive. Stick with us and maybe we talk about your new job", Doyle assured.

"What is this to you some kind of job evaluation", Jack inquired.

"Of sorts I would say. Pass this and I will clear your name and you will have a new job that doesn't require sitting around in boats all day", Doyle explained.

Jack thought about it for a second and I would kill for a chance to stop rubbing shoulders with tourists all day.

"You got a deal Doyle", Jack replied.

"Go find Val and then find me. Unfortunately you're on your own for now but if you need some pointers use this radio to get a hold of me", Doyle said as he signed off.

Jack moved on through the tunnels and into the jungle. Along the way he ran into mercs who seemed to be guarding the island. But Jack wondered for what purpose were they are to begin with. Eventually he found Val and helped her out of a tight spot at least enough to get away. Unfortunately at that same time Carver got captured by Crowe and his men. Crowe managed to sneak up behind Jack and shoot him with a dart gun. Jack passed out a moment later.

Richard Crowe was the commander of the mercs on the island but his employer turned out to be a rogue mad scientist named Kruger. Kruger was conducting a series of dangerous and unethical experiments on the island away from the eyes of the UN of course. However Jack soon discovered that he was their next Guinea pig as Crowe injected him with the serum. Jack passed out shortly thereafter and woke up to find himself trapped inside a truck.

"My arms feel stronger", Jack muttered to himself as he got an idea.

Jack then broke out of the truck and managed to kill every merc in his path. He didn't understand how or why but whatever that serum was it turned him into a killing machine. Jack's senses had greatly improved as well as his strength. He could focus better he could see and smell farther and greater than before. Not to mention that he could also see in the dark better. He moved faster and he was stronger than he could imagined. So Jack put his new skills to the test and used his newfound powers to crush Crowe and his men. Eventually he found Doyle and Val. Doyle tried to cure Jack but he soon realized that he couldn't do much of anything. The only one who could do that was Kruger himself.

Oddly enough Kruger begged Jack to help him deal with Crowe since he also injected himself with the serum and now he was after Kruger too. Jack ran off to deal with Crowe but he wasn't at the location that Kruger said he was. Of course Jack assumed that he had lied to him. Jack ran all the way to Kruger's main facility. But when he got there he found other super soldiers who were like him but they seemed to lack common sense and are incapable of making their own decisions. The soldiers embraced Jack as their alpha. Jack and his newfound team went upstairs and attacked Crowe. Although by then Crowe was almost as strong as Jack. Almost since it was Jack who killed Crowe that day. Kruger tried to escape but his own creations surrounded him and tore him apart bit by bit. Jack then ran off by himself to meet up with Doyle and Val.

BY some miracle they had survived and Jack was exhausted. They took a chopper to fly off the island where Doyle brought Jack to Langley where he was recruited by The CIA. Doyle made good on his promise and Jack got back to doing what he did best. Busting heads and taking names.

A week later Jack got his new assignment he smiled as he was going to Africa of all places to hunt down a gun runner who called himself the jackal. By his mouth dropped when he realized who he really was.

"Son of a bitch. I thought he was dead back in the Pacific", Jack said to himself as he stared at the picture blankly.

To be continued.
