What if . . . Mrs. Gardiner's Lambton relations had been a little more well-to-do and what if she had stronger and longer ties to them and to Derbyshire? In this variation Elizabeth begins to spend summers with the Gardiners in Derbyshire at a fairly young age. As a result she develops her own ties to that part of the world and its people, including the Darcy's of Pemberley.

After their wedding, Mr and Mrs Darcy bask in the knowledge that they can now fulfill their fantasies.

Mr. Darcy and Mr. Wickham are not only different from each other but each one has many of the other's canon character traits. It has a sympathetic Wickham and an unsympathetic Darcy character. Before death, Lady Anne wrote a series of letters to her children. The letters are lost, due to Lady Catherine's selfishness. 16 years later, Anne de Bourgh finds the letters and gives them to Darcy. Their contents alter Darcy's perspective on life, love, and his family's legacy.

What would have happened at the Assembly if Fitzwilliam Darcy had a genius level IQ with a super sense of smell? I wrote this for a much longer story (now complete), but this chapter didn't work for it, so I am posting it here for you! These stories were inspired by a line in a book that said "Darcy was miming his words from his proposal." I think the author meant reviewing. It made me laugh and some clever ladies Katja and Sam challenged me to write it. A Fantasy Variation: Mr.Darcy needs to find a mate for his griffin, leave Netherfield, and fulfill his responsibilities. If he finds himself attracted to a lady of inferior birth it is only because his griffin is going into heat. It has nothing to do with her fine eyes or the liveliness of her mind. He can not be distracted. Not even if his griffin really likes her.
