This is my contribution to the december Holiday fic exchange. I am writing for Katie (K8eSunbug) who requested a friendship story between Elizabeth and Nathan which could turn to love (she promised not to be mad).

An unexpected phone call takes place between Lucas Bouchard and Nathan Grant once Lucas leaves Hope Valley to campaign for governor.

How would Hope Valley have been different if Abigail never left? A glimpse at events and conversations that could have been if Hope Valley's favorite matron and their new constable had the chance to meet. The Grant Family return to Hope Valley for the summer, will they find peace and happiness they seek or will troubles from the past come back to haunt them. This will be a weekly posting for now.
