One day everything was perfect or they thought until it wasn't good at all. Corvo woke up and found himself trapped in a nightmare. After hundreds of years of being frozen in a vault he was finally free.

But it wasn't all good news his son was kidnapped and his wife was murdered. That day he swore that he find their son even if it was the last thing he would ever do. It seemed that many of the wildlife had mutated as a direct result of extreme nuclear radiation exposure. As he began to see giant cockroaches crawling all along the vault. Corvo had no choice but to fight his way out of there. Eventually he managed to escape the madness of the vault seeing as how everyone else there was already dead all except him.

"Why was I the lucky one", Corvo said to himself as he moved onward.

Though if he was honest with himself he would say that in that time he did not feel that lucky at all to be put in that kind of situation. Corvo did manage to find some decent weapons to arm himself with. His odds of survival just went up a little. Or at least that is what he thought until he made it back to the cargo elevator and returned to the surface. At first his eyes had to adjust to the light. But when he took a chance to look around and survey the damage he was overwhelmed. Everything that he knew about the world was gone and everyone he loved for the moment was gone too. Eventually he found his son Shaun but needless to say he was not the same baby he knew. The Shaun that he met in the new world turned out to be an old bitter man who hated the world and locked himself away in an underground facility known throughout the commonwealth as the institute. The institute were the bogeymen of the commonwealth. They abducted people all over the commonwealth and believed it was all for a good cause even though most of the time the people were often taken by force.

THE institute would replace the people that they took with synthetic slash cybernetic copies of themselves.

However Corvo found out the truth behind the institute. Shaun controlled the institute after all he was it's chief director. But Shaun was not a kind and charismatic man. He had overwhelming amounts of technology that would have made life in the wastes so much better. But instead of sharing their knowledge they chose to keep it to themselves. Corvo and Shaun butted heads over a great deal of decisions. Shaun argued continously that there was no point or hope in helping the world above ground.

Several days later Shaun begged Corvo to help the institute build a nuclear reactor.

"You want to use the very thing that destroyed the whole world as a power source. You do realize that stuff is unstable right", Corvo remarked.

"I do father but I don't think we have much choice", Shaun replied.

"There's always a choice", Corvo said as he walked away.

Corvo went to get some fresh air outside of the institute. The commonwealth did look like a smoking crater like the rest of the world but despite the rads there was still some beauty to be seen.

Corvo eventually went back to the railroad for advice. But the railroad was just too obsessed with the idea of freeing syths who were not actual people at all. They made look and behave as normal human beings but they were still machines nonetheless. It made the whole terminator concept that much more problematic. What if the syths came together and ruled over the rest of human kind. It would be total annulation and robotic domination. In the end they might be no better than the nukes a thing that the railroad and the institute failed to see. Corvo decided to never return to the church after that seeing as how the constant arguing left him with no real answers.

Corvo was a former US Army soldier through and through. Back when that actually meant something anyway. Naturally Corvo jumped at the chance of becoming the new General of the minutemen in the Commonwealth. The idea of taming the Commonwealth and helping others reminded him of the good old days. Corvo smiled the day he took back the fort for the minutemen. Even Preston himself was proud. But when the brotherhood of steel came to the commonwealth like any other soldier Corvo signed up to do his duty. Being in the brotherhood reminded him of the army. It was good to serve a country with an actual idealogy plus with the brotherhood support and training Corvo could turn the minutemen into something far greater.

But when Corvo was out and about looking for lost souls to lend a hand to. He find himself trapped in a game that was made by raiders who found themselves trapped on an island resort of all things. They wanted Corvo to help them tame the Commonwealth but for their own interests instead of the people's. Corvo immediately raided and killed every single one of them. Nothing good could come from a gang of raiders. Corvo even took it a step further as destroyed all access points leading to the resort. Whoever was left would surely die of starvation before they found out how to get back to the Commonwealth. Corvo even destroyed the train he rode in once he got back to the Commonwealth. Corvo then decided that the railroad needed to be destroyed as well with some regret for he did make some friends there he destroyed the church with the help of the brotherhood of steel. Corvo knew that by then the institute had assumed he had gone rogue after he killed his courser handler anyway. 86 kept following and shadowing Corvo where ever he went. But he was glad to see 86 was no longer a problem. Elder Maxson wanted Corvo to work with him to destroy the institute but Corvo felt that the brotherhood would show no mercy to the institute specifically his son Shaun. If Nora was still alive she would tell Corvo that he was wrong for you can't turn your back on family. But Corvo could not share Shaun's vision for the commonwealth in the end Corvo found himself back in sanctuary hills looking for Preston.

"Hey General what do you need", Preston asked as he knew that whatever Corvo had to say was going to be very important.

"We have to stop the institute", Corvo replied.

"Are you sure general", Preston questioned.

"Yeah I am sure that if we don't stop the institute here and now they keep making syths and kidnapping the people of the Commonwealth. The institute is no better and even worse than the railroad", Corvo indicated.

"I understand sir but you do realize that Shaun is with the institute and if we attack the institute that also means that we will be attacking Shaun too", Preston pointed out.

"Shaun isn't the man I had envisioned. The institute has corrupted him. The institute doesn't care about the people of the Commonwealth and sooner or later the institute might rule over all of us. Or rather it's own syths might when they lose control of them", Corvo argued.

Preston agreed with Corvo on that fact.

"I won't argue with you on that one. I will meet you at the fort. Sturges, you're in charge I got to go meet the general at the fort", Preston said as he walked off.

"Sure thing guys I will just fire spit balls at the raiders as they come through", Struges remarked.

"Let's hope it doesn't come to that Struges", Corvo said as he followed Preston.

"A pity none of the subways or any form of transportation work anymore", Preston said as he lit a cigarette.

"Well it's only a matter of time before someone figures it out", Corvo replied.

Preston thought about the day he met Corvo. It was in Concord right after Corvo was freed from vault 111. Corvo was still getting used to the new world. The city came under attack by raiders and Preston was doing his best to keep everyone safe. But it didn't go as planned as the raiders had the minutemen completely outnumbered and boxed in. Then almost out of nowhere Corvo appeared and saved them all.

Preston then decided it was time to stop daydreaming. He looked over at Corvo and realized that he had come far and wide not to mention that he made out to be quite a leader.

Preston and Corvo made it back to the fort which was the main base of the minutemen. From there Preston and Corvo along with the other minutemen planned their course of attack. Corvo decided to hijack their relay signal in order to break into the institute. Sturges had already developed a way for them to do just that. The plan was for Corvo to infiltrate the institute posing as if he was still on their side. But when Corvo finally appeared inside the institute he didn't receive a warm reception. Corvo found himself immediately and completely surrounded by Syths.

"Planning on destroying the institute father", Shaun asked suddenly over the intercom.

"What you are doing is not for the benefit of the commonwealth", Corvo replied.

"There you go again. I should have known that this would have happened. Why should we care about those non believers in the wastes above for they are nothing but jackals all of them. They deserve every misfortune and pain they suffer from for they brought it upon themselves. Why should we be held accountable for their own doing", Shaun snapped.

"Because you know of their pain and suffering. Therefore you should have been helping them since let's face it you and your institute have more than enough knowledge and technology to improve the lives of everyone everywhere. Tell me Shaun, what sounds more wrong to you? A man who commits a terrible crime or a man who knows of the crime but does nothing to stop it", Corvo asked suddenly.

Shaun said nothing in response at first.

"Who cares about the wastes the institute is our future. What does it matter if some loser wastelander gets killed by some raider. Perhaps he should have thought about that before he decided to live out in the wastes", Shaun yelled over the intercom.

"Kill this pathetic sympathizer", Shaun said as all the synths attacked Corvo.

Corvo could not believe that his son tried to kill him as he plowed through those synths with his minigun. Corvo then ran to the main control center as used the holotape that Sturges gave to him which allowed the minutemen to hijack the relay signal and lock onto it. Shortly thereafter dozens of minutemen were teleported into the institute and it was all out war between the institute synths and the minutemen.

Corvo saw his minutemen pouring into the institute as he led the charge forward their mission was to destroy the institute and break away from their unwanted influence.

"Follow me", Corvo ordered.

Corvo headed into the synth production labs and rigged a huge bomb to blow up the institute and all of their synths.

After the bomb was set everyone evacuated except for one. Shaun suddenly appeared before his father with a gun in his hands.

"I am sorry it had to come to this. But you ruined everything. You took away humanity's best hope for a future", Shaun stated.

"BY enslaving them with your army of machines and forcing law and order down their throats. We could have done better than that if only you would have listened to me", Corvo argued.

Suddenly all of the color from Shaun's eyes vanished as he looked around the carnage that surrounded him. It was almost as if he realized that he had made a terrible mistake.

"What have I done. It's too late now", Shaun concluded as he shot himself in the head.

Suddenly a familiar synth that looked like a boy walked up to Corvo.

"Father, are you here to save me", the boy asked.

Corvo knew who it was. He felt downright insulted when Shaun tried to convince that the boy synth was himself. Instead Corvo found out that his greatest enemy who ran the institute was actually his real son. Not this machine that mimicked the figure and behavior of a ten year old boy. But for some reason in that instant Corvo couldn't bear to leave the boy behind. Corvo helped the boy escape along with some of the scientists and soldiers. After that they teleported everyone to safety. As they watched the institute go up in flames. After that Corvo adopted the machine as a son. But he gave the machine a different name. Corvo called the machine Mac instead of Shaun.

Years passed by and for a while Mac and Corvo went on many adventures together. But one day Corvo got a call from Elder Maxson with terrible news.

"Corvo, this is urgent we have reason to believe that a group of raiders and the children of atom have teamed up. What's worse is that our spies believe that they are now sitting on a large stock pile of nukes. I want them to be taken care of", Maxson explained.

"Consider it done", Corvo said as he escorted Mac back to Sanctuary.

Corvo left Mac under Sturges care sometimes he would leave him with Piper or Nick for they mainly lived in Diamond city.

Preston decided to tag along for that mission. It seemed that the reports were right the children of atom were selling the nukes to the raiders for a bunch of caps. Preston and Corvo spilt up to wreak havoc upon them. After Corvo killed the raiders he saw a slave who also was a woman. The woman looked up to Corvo as he saw her beautiful blue eyes that shined like sapphires in the night sky. The woman had long brown hair and she had red lips that shamed even the red red rose. She was beautiful. Her name was Angelina.

Corvo stopped the children and the raiders as well as saved Angelina. Corvo then brought her to Diamond city where he lived there with Mac and Angelina herself. Later that same year Corvo married Angelina oddly enough. They lived happily ever after.

The end.
