Attack on Titan
The Dark Titan: A Dark Rebirth
A/N: There's a dark side to every possibility, and in every possibility, there is some sort of pain and hope waiting to be experienced.
Confusion
Grisha Yeager and his Eldian Restorationist Movement never got a chance to take advantage of what Marley had planned to do with Paradis Island. They never even got the chance to get started on it. As the young man came to on the street, he saw damaged buildings and people up and down the road, some alive and injured, the rest dead and buried under rubble.
"Zeke!" He heard his wife crying over the half-buried body of their son, who wasn't moving. "Zeke! Wake up!"
Grisha suddenly reacted to a painful sensation in his left leg…and saw that his appendage was separated from the rest of himself. Further down the street, he saw the wall that had segregated the Eldians of Liberio from the Marleyans had been damaged and the buildings further away were starting to catch fire. Around him, people were screaming, crying, trying to make sense of what was going on, but he was in the dark about what was going on. All he knew…was that something happened…and it was still going on.
Outside the internment zone, smashing several rooftops of other buildings, an eighteen-meter-tall humanoid howled as it sent debris across the air, assaulting several Marleyans as they tried to flee from the rampage it caused.
"Rrrrrrrrraaaaurgh!" It roared.
Or rather, it screamed. An eighteen-meter humanoid known as a Titan, but this one was far different from the ones anyone in the world knew about. It was androgynous at best, lithe and muscular, with a predominantly feminine facial structure and long hair that reached down past its knees. But its most distinguishing feature was its dark skin tone and hair. There was no other Titan in existence before it that possessed these features.
"Rrrrrraaurgh!"
Even as Marleyan soldiers geared up and prepared to fire their rifles and cannons at the Titan, they knew they were only delaying the inevitable. The Titans they had at their disposal were useless against this unusual specimen they had brought upon themselves; the Colossal, Armored and Female Titans were gone, their holders dead as a result of the devastation caused to the internment zone, and their Beast, Cart and Jaw Titans were insufficient due to their size and lack of combat capabilities. As they prepared to take aim at the Titan that turned to face them, they looked at its face…and couldn't undo the terrible sight before them. History had known the Titans to be soulless monsters that prayed upon the flesh of mankind with malicious ambitions, but that was written and spoken history, for in the realm of the unwritten, the unspoken, nobody would find credibility in a Titan that was able to shed tears like a human, as if they were hurt by something that happened to them in the past.
"Rrrrrraaaaurgh!" It screamed against, tears flowing down its face. "Rrrraaurgh!"
"What the Hell happened to this Eldian?" One of the soldiers questioned, and then the Titan dug its arms into the sides of a building beside it and ripped its from its foundation as it tossed it in a shower of debris at the world in front of it.
Crash! The debris fell upon the soldiers and tanks, either burying them…or killing them.

Emerging from the ruins of a building, an elderly man crawled onto the street and turned to lay on his back. Judging from the injuries he had sustained from the building falling on him, he was at Death's door, with only precious seconds left to live.
Marley desired a new breed of Titan that would be greater than any that existed before, he thought as he felt himself starting to succumb to his injuries. I had suggested revolutionizing their monopoly of Eldians so as to not be reliant upon the members of the Nine Titans they possessed in exchange for Marleyan citizenship if I offered my services to them. They wanted a new Titan that could be the greatest weapon the world has ever experienced…and I succeeded. The price of success is the pain of regret. Aaugh!
His head fell to his right side, his eyes glazed over; he was dead from his internal injuries. Had anyone left alive that knew him well enough to tell what had happened in the days prior to this devastation, they would've told anyone that cared enough to listen that this all started…with a little girl whose mindset was far removed from the majority of Eldians that lived within the Liberio internment zone. A little girl whose mindset was extremely different…until she ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time and in the eyes of the wrong people…who had made the worst decision of their insignificant lives.
Watching as he died from the shadows of an alleyway across the street, two young men stood and watched as the Titan had devastated the entire internment zone and was about to continue its rampage towards the rest of the city.
"What is this?!" One of them, dressed in simple trousers, a shirt and dark coat, with neck-length dark hair, asks a dark-skinned man that sat atop a pile of rubble, dressed in nothing but a pair of blue jeans and wearing brass manacles with an Asian character tattooed on his back
"This…is another existence within the realm of many possibilities," the dark man responds. "You think everything happens in an order that is unbreakable? Think again! Nothing is set in stone, and this is fate rewritten in a manner where people make choices that scar existence in other ways beside the ones that leave blood on the ground and in the air. This is another story that will weave its threads across time and space. But whether or not there is light at the end is for the hands that deliver unto others hope…is for the people that remain to decide. And if anything, to save one's life from a future of misery and grief. Because right now, this is akin to a tantrum, only more violent and more justifiable. And you get to watch how it unfolds."
"But that Titan… It just killed Zeke."
"And in the process, saved his soul from becoming corrupted by immoral ambitions. If he had lived, would his future be any different because of this turn of events?"
"Grisha?" A young woman staggered over to where Grisha had just pulled the remains of his only son out of the rubble. "What happened? Why did that thing attack us?"
"Who is that?" The simple-dressed man asks the dark man.
"She…is his sister who lived to see her adulthood years because her brother made a different choice other than the one that led to her death," he answers him.
To be continued…
A/N: A Christmas gift to everyone on this site. I hope it impresses some of you out there until expanded upon in the future. It's basically a scenario in which the person behind the Dark Titan lives in Marley, but her life changes because of the same situation she finds herself in and has more twists and turns because of certain people's choices.
