Chapter 1: All this time

In the world of pokemon, home to many that live roaming on the ground, swimming in the seas, and flying throughout the sky. They also live amongst people living together in harmony. The Kalos region is home to many pokemon even some not found in other places. Going further in the region, coming to the small town of Laverre City, north of Kalos and home to the Fairy Gym for trainers to challenge and the Pokeball Factory where every and all pokeballs are made. However, a small secret lies a little outside of the city, a hideout lies off into the forest. Shrouded by tress and many other vegetation natures has to offer. It is home to pokemon who've wondered their way to this place and decided to stay, but it also is a place where the vigilante, Graph, resides. It had been about three weeks since the infamous Hunter J came to Kalos region to steal the three legendary birds, but the vigilante was able to drive her off and stop her client. During those three weeks things have been rough for him, mostly the criminals are getting stronger, and more were popping up. He's back at his hideout with a needle and some string in his hand trying to at least hold his trademark outfit, a black hoodie and dark coat, or what's left of it. The outfit had tons of shreds, tears, and rips from going up against stronger foes and pokemon of course. He puts the needle down along with the outfit and holds his head.

"I'm not sure how I'm going to sow this together, it's way beyond repair," he said to himself or so he thought.

(Are you sure you can't just buy your outfit again?) said a female laid next to him.

Ninetales was sitting next to him for a while watching attempt to sew his suit back together. She was with him from the moment he got an egg to take care of, next hatched into vulpix, and then evolved into a beautiful Ninetales. These two have been inseparable from each other.

"I don't think that's gonna work since the people we've been facing are getting stronger," he started to explain, "remember when went up against that one guy and the Victreebel?"

Flashback

In an underground part of a factory were the walls had pipes all around the walls, the vigilante's team faces off a criminal and their Victreebel. Most of the vigilante's team was called back from taking too much damage it was down to him, Ninetales and Mienshao. A stream of fire shot off and while the criminal and their Victreebel avoid it by vine whipping the pipe on the ceiling and both swinging over their heads to the exit.

"Power Whip, Victreebel!"

The Flycatcher pokemon gave a loud screech and the long sprout glowed green and then in a fast motion whipped it. It strikes everyone sending them flying back with Ninetales and Mienshao to the side walls and then the vigilante hit one of the pipes hard enough that it not only left a dent, but also released high pressure steam that was aimed right at him blowing in his face. He was trying to resist the pressure but then the steam covered all around. Ninetales got up but in a little pain and was looking back and forth between catching the criminal or seeing if Graph was okay, but then Mienshao put a handle on her shoulder. They both went up the stairs and out to chase the criminal. They all ended up above ground and just when the criminal thought he was getting away, the vigilante tackled him from the front catching almost everyone of guard then turning around to face the criminals with his eyes now red. While even Victreebell was still stunned, Ninetales took the opportunity to use Flamethrower and Mienshao to use Aura Sphere in which both moves connect and send them knocked out on the ground.

"Everyone okay?" the vigilante asked as he stumbled to his team.

His team gathered around him to support him. He was a little wounded from the steam pipe with small burn patches on his clothes. There were also patches of clothing torn off and not even some of his face was red underneath his mask and hood. He pulls off the hood and mask to breath a little better until they heard the sirens of a police motorcycle getting louder and louder.

"Come on guys, let's get out of here," his pokemon helped him get away from the scene and disappear back to the hideout in Laverre.

End of Flashback

The vigilante tried sowing once again and still wasn't making any progress since some of the parts were mismatched and falling off from the main outfit. When he held the outfit in the air to get a better view, only for some of the fabric to start tearing off due to the gravity. Fustrated, he puts it down on the table in attempt to try and re-attach the pieces again. Then after a while small little shiny object pieces fell out from the fabric, the vigilante sighs.

(Metal? How did those get in there?) Ninetales asked.

"It was from the Lairon that used metal burst around some innocents," he said, "remember I had to jump in between them. Which was kinda risky."

Flashback

In a small building with innocence around the place trying to duck and take over, Graph and his team where getting pretty worn down from Lairon's attacks. The criminal gave the command to use Metal Burst, as Lairon was charging up as tiny pieces of metal started to surround its body there were still people out in the open unable to avoid the attack. When Lairon was ready to release the attack, in a last ditch effort the vigilante jumped out and covered a small group of people. Eventually the criminal was caught, however there was some stinging and some wet feeling on his back that soon realized the shards of metal got into his coat and was scratching at his skin.

End of Flashback

One way he was able to still hold out for so long against these tough criminals is his combat skills. Not only holding off against others when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, but also holding off with pokemon types to at least reduce damage. However, some types he can't defend well enough like the one time against a Muk. Toxic poison got on some of his clothes and instantly began to melt away at his outfit leaving holes and sometimes burn marks on his skin which took a ton of rinsing out to do before the patches finally healed.

(I don't think trying to keep stitching that back together is going work,) Ninetales said as she came down from the chair, (I know you like to keep up the look but now I think it is the last thing to worry about.)

"Your right," he gets up and goes to a closet and opens it, "I have been working on this for a while and its almost done."

What was housed in the closet was mostly junk he had salvaged from various criminals but the other thing he had been working on in his time of absence was his new outfit. It was a jumpsuit that looked very tight but also comfortable to wear and then next to it a large coat and his new mask from it. The outfit was salvaged from the wreckage of his destroyed home and some of the material that his parents had was never used. He had been working on this new outfit for a while, but it was never ready just yet.

"It is not ready yet, but it's really close to be."

(So, this is what you've been working on?)

Graph takes the outfit from the hanger out of the closet and lays it out over the table, "The whole thing is made from a carbon fiber mesh. It is a two-part suit; the first part is a jumpsuit that is tight on his body and the second is the trench coat. All of it is thin, light weight, durable on the outside layer and comfortable to wear on the inside layer. I also added a computer system, life support, and other features including thing," he demonstrated by tearing the fabric and within moments the strands reconnected together looking like nothing happened, "what do you think?"

(I knew you were working on something important. How is it not ready?) She asked.

"That's the issue, there is another key part that this is missing which is why I'm going need everyone's help with this. Now it may sound weird, but I need to you guys to attack it."

It took a second for Ninetales to process what he was asking of which was out of the ordinary, even for him, (You want me to what now?) she finally responded.

"I mean I need everyone's of all types to hit this," he presses a button somewhere and the outfit lights up, "it has sensors on the outside and when a move strikes this then it gathers data making it more resistant to that type, it's a little complicated," he explains.

(I think I understand, but I'm guessing this isn't the only thing you'll be doing right?)

"Of course not, I've been needing to get back into shape after these last few weeks," they start to walk outside, "I'm going to train with you guys again," he knelt to her, "let's get back out there."

He rounds everyone up and talks about his plan, everyone agrees with him, and they also help him out with his things. He sets his suit up on a stack and asked some to attack it, even though it was a strange request, they were happy to accept and start attacking it. Its suit was talking in information on the attacks to compensate for how tough it needs to be. For the vigilante himself he always trained with pokemon, even during his grieving times. He trained with all types mostly for endurance, but with his new outfit it would be more than just endurance.

T raining got underway and he started with the basics with normal types which balance in offense and defense. The pokemon were attacking him with normal types moves from pound to even the strong moves in which instead of blocking most, he avoids. The training was a little bazaar, but it is what he learned that made him into what he is now. After a while of it since it wasn't working the way he hoped, he looked back at his suit and his team then suddenly finally knew how to train.

He decided to put the suit on which was a black hoodie underneath the trench coat with boots and his mask covering his face.

"Power on, activation code 11095-34773," then the suit begins to boot up. The suit had an outline that snaked down until the suit looked black with streaks of red and his mask had his signature flame mark that also glowed red. The mask projected a heads-up display on the inside which most of them was showing a lot of startup sequences, until finally it did a home interface scan. It was mostly scanning and analyzing pretty everything as in the pokemon in the area, which pokemon were tamed and untamed by trainers by even giving them a profile, even scanning the pokeballs he kept on him and seeing which one belonged to which.

Now that everything was set, he resumed is personal training. It was going smoother than before. He can see that the suit was gathering data on the moves that either he couldn't block or avoid. However, he was mostly fighting one pokemon of each type to get data, it may not be much, but it will be a start. He spars with a few pokemon with one type at a time going down the chart one by one. First, he starts off with normal types since starting with the basics is usually ones start. Deflecting attacks of physical and special as well as trying to fight back with his many forms of martial arts and what he has on his suit. He doesn't have too much weaponry on his suit; however, he does have metal cables that are in the sleeves. Mostly using that for long range and close-range combat with a fighting style he made up. He also fights with his bo-staff which was his weapon of choice. After practicing with the pokemon he takes a break before moving to the next type. He spars next with water types in which his style changes to now being more fluid, no pun intended, but also turning someone's defense into offense. Water type attacks are another story. Next, was Grass types which were mostly trapping him and sometimes snaring but he easily avoids and maneuvers out of them. Electric types were strong and powerful and did get him zapped from time to time, but his suit converts electricity into power but sometimes overloads. Ice types he has had training by surviving in a blizzard for a few days, but easily shattering the ice that was aimed at him. Fighting types is where he is good at combat, able to handle multiple people at once or in this case pokemon.

Poison types were an interesting concept, able to exploit weakness with fast strikes then taking them down with minimal effort. Ground and Rock types he trained together when ground was all about balance while trying to avoid rocks while using them for defense maneuvers. The flying types was a bit harder to do since well he hasn't made upgrades to fly but using there air move against them, that is something he can do. Psychic however was a little different, the first half was the usual sparing but then the second half was focused on strengthening his mind as well it lots of meditation from the psychic types.

Bug types mostly kept getting him caught in web or unsuspecting attacks meaning he had to sharpen his awareness even more, being able to detect the slightest of changes. Ghost types were another mental sparing to remain in control. Dragon types was a more challenging on to were dealing with something bigger and much stronger. Dark types were more cunning and sneaky. Steel types improved defending and finally Fairy types were trying to be very tricky with moves that almost surprised him.

After sparing he sits down and fiddles with his outfit, with all the data the calibration was talking a little bit of time. Ninetales came in to check on him.

(Well, that was fun,) she said padding toward him, (so how did it go? Is it working right?)

"Still working out a few errors and bugs here and there but other than that looks pretty good."

He pulls down the hood and the mask and says, "Want to test drive it?"

Ninetales gives a small comedic sweat drop, (Hehehe, um I doubt I'll be able to wear that. It's not even my size.)

"Don't worry, I designed it so only you guys can where it haha. But that isn't the only reason I asked. I mean getting it on the field see if we can find anyone."

It took Ninetales a moment and then came together and said, "Yes."
