Chapter 140 (Christmas Special)
*Clover vs Becky Lynch*
With the big tree removed, the ring was then littered with all kinds of Christmas themed weapons. Presents, wreaths, trees, candy cane kendo sticks, and many more surrounded the ring. Inside the ring were two Irish women ready to brawl. One was Clover and the other was Becky Lynch.
"Here we are with our next match, the Miracle on 34th Street Fight! This no-DQ match encourages the use of weapons found anywhere! In one corner, representing Xtrema, we have the Xtrema TV Champion, Clover! And in the other corner, representing WWE, she is the Man, Becky Lynch! Who will get the fall here? Let's find out!"
DING-DING!
Clover immediately rushed out of her corner and ran toward Becky. However, the Irish Lass-Kicker quickly escaped out of the ring. When Clover saw her leave, she stepped out to follow her, but she was immediately caught by surprise when Becky Lynch shot at her with a fire extinguisher. She kept firing at her until Clover found herself leaning on the steel steps. She released the lever and threw the extinguisher at Clover making her fall over the steps.
Becky Lynch circled the steps to confront Clover who was up on her hands and knees. Becky balled up her fists together and threw them down on Clover's back. However, she didn't fall. Becky tried again, but Clover didn't drop. Instead, she threw her own fist at Becky's stomach and stood back up. She then threw another punch and another before grabbing Becky and throwing her to the nearest Christmas tree knocking it down upon impact.
Clover took a moment to flex her biceps before grabbing the tree that Becky accidentally knocked over. She held it up with both hands and presented it like it was a trophy. When Becky stood back up, Clover swung the tree and hit her knocking her away toward a barricade. Becky leaned on the barricade noticing a fan of hers offering her a cup of eggnog. Becky gladly accepted it, and when Clover got close enough for another tree swing, Becky turned around and threw the drink into her face.
Blinded by the eggnog, Clover dropped the tree to wipe her eyes. That's when Becky charged right at her and making her crash onto the ring apron. She moved her away from it only to push her to it again. Angry, Clover delivered her own axe handle which made Becky drop to the ground. She then grabbed her by her orange hair and lifted her up slightly only to kick her head repeatedly. One last kick had Becky rolling.
Clover wanted to do something more. She looked around and smiled when she found a table laying beside her. She picked it up and slid it back into the ring before getting inside. She took her time setting it up to stand right at the center of the ring. When she was done, she left the ring to find Becky Lynch, but when she got out, she realized that her opponent had disappeared. She looked around, but there was no sign of the Man.
"Hey! Where'd you go, Becky?" Clover asked loudly over the crowd's uproar.
Little did she know that Becky Lynch emerged from under the ring apron with a candy cane kendo stick in her hand. She stood behind Clover and swung her weapon right to the back of her left leg. The surprise attack caused Clover to drop on one knee, which gave Becky the chance she needed to hold her kendo stick in front of her neck and squeeze it. Clover struggled for air while Becky added in the pain by throwing her knees to her back. She ended it by throwing Clover back to the steel steps where she then hit her head.
Becky grabbed Clover by her shoulders and forced her up to her feet before throwing her back in the ring. She then slid herself in and hooked her leg for the first pin attempt.
1… 2…
Clover managed to throw her shoulder up and escape the pinfall. Becky dragged Clover to the near corner and climbed up to the top rope. She jumped off intending to land both her feet on Clover, but the big girl rolled out of the way and used the ropes to quickly pick herself up. She then ran to Becky and grab her with her bare arm holding her in a side headlock. She dragged her all the way to the standing table and grabbed her by her belt. She attempted lift her up for a suplex, but Becky wrapped her foot behind her leg to stop her. She then pushed herself free and fire a headbutt to Clover, which did nothing. She then spun around and kick her in the stomach, which actually got her to bend over. She then grabbed her head and plant it facedown to the mat. She rolled her up again for another pin.
1… 2…
Once again, Clover got out. Becky grabbed her arm and prepared for her finishing move, the Disarm-Her. However, despite her attempts, Clover wouldn't let her lock it in. She instead shuffled herself to the ropes and pulled herself away from Becky and stand just outside the ring. That didn't stop Becky however. She ran to the ropes and dropped down with a sliding dropkick right to her. Clover stumbled back reeling in from the kick while Becky stood on top of the apron. She then ran to Clover's direction and jumped right off the apron crashing into her.
Since pins and submissions didn't count outside the ring, Becky picked Clover back up and threw her into the ring again. She followed and attempted to cover her, but Clover grabbed her legs and threw her over with a roll-up pin.
1… 2…
Becky Lynch kicked out with a surprised expression on her face. She was so shocked, she didn't react in time when Clover stood back up and tackled her. She kept on running until she rammed Becky to the corner with her shoulder. She rammed it again and again until Becky fell into a seated position. Clover then picked the Man up and held her over her shoulders in a fireman's carry. She then walked over to the table and crashed Becky through it with a Michinoku Driver. Becky's lights went out as soon as Clover covered her with her whole body.
1… 2… 3!
DING-DING!
"What a shocking match, ladies and gentlemen! Neither women held back and there was no love lost between these Irish champions! Still, Clover was the victor, and what a victory it was! I know it couldn't have been easy taking on a woman like Becky Lynch! Anyway, let's get the next match going!"
*Kaito Marx vs Mandy Rose*
After Clover and Becky left and the Christmas weapons were removed, the crew brought in an unlit hearth and placed it just outside of the ring. After that, two wrestlers came into the ring one at a time. First was Kaito Marx. Second was Mandy Rose. While the black-haired beauty gave wandering eyes to her opponent, Kaito was given a grassy crown which he wore on his head.
"For our penultimate match, we have a very popular type of match when it comes to Kaito Marx, the mistletoe match! For this match, Kaito and his opponent, Mandy Rose, must wrestle while the former wears a crown made of mistletoe! After a minute has passed, the hearth next to the ring will light up! That's when Kaito must leave the ring and throw his crown into it into order to win! In order for Mandy to win, however, she must kiss Kaito Marx three times on the lips before he can burn his crown! If both wrestlers are set on the rules, then let's get this match going!"
DING-DING!
Kaito and Mandy circled each other at the center of the ring where Mandy held her arms up offering a grappling challenge.
"Come on, cutie. Don't be shy." Mandy said.
Kaito narrowed his eyes suspiciously before accepting Mandy's challenge. The two of them locked up in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. It didn't take long, however, for Mandy to close in on Kaito. Thankfully, he wasn't the same pushover he was for the past few years, so he backed up just in time to avoid the kiss. He then fired a kick at Mandy's stomach before he grabbed her by the back of her outfit and threw her to the corner. He ran over to her, but she raised her legs up and caught his head between them. She then threw herself off of the corner and threw Kaito in a hurricarana.
After throwing Kaito down, Mandy secured him in a grapevine hold. He struggled for a bit, but he couldn't escape. She lowered herself for a kiss, but Kaito headbutted her and got her off him. When he got up, he grabbed her by her legs and attempted to roll her over for a Boston crab, but she managed to push him off and get back up to her feet.
DING!
Kaito turned to the sound of the high bell where he saw the hearth at ringside. The logs within it suddenly burst into flames. He saw it as his chance to leave and burn the crown, but before he could take a single step out, Mandy Rose ran up to him and kicked him in the face. After he fell, she headed to the corner and climbed up the middle rope. She then leaped off of it and landed her back onto his stomach. She then mounted him and planted the first kiss.
With the first kiss planted, Mandy Rose stood up and waited for Kaito to stand up. Instead, though, he rolled out of the ring and landed outside. He headed to the hearth and prepared to throw his mistletoe crown into the fire. However, before he could, Mandy Rose slid underneath the ropes like a baseball slide and kicked him to the barricade making him drop the crown.
Mandy Rose picked up the crown and grabbed Kaito by the back of his head. She forced him up and planted the crown back on his head before Irish whipping him back into the ring. However, she made sure that his head hung just on top of the ring apron. She then raised her fist and used it to smack Kaito in the chest three times. With that done, she easily planted her second kiss on Kaito and pushed him back into the ring.
Mandy climbed up the apron, and then, up to the top rope of the corner. Once she was up there, she motioned for Kaito to stand back up. The male Xtrema wrestler groaned standing back up just as Mandy leaped off the ropes and onto him. The impact caused him to shake the ring upon the slam. Kaito tried to roll out again, but Mandy Rose wouldn't let him. She kicked his head to stop him before pulling him up and putting him in a headlock. She dug her arms and tightened them around his neck trying to remove any ounce of breath he had left.
"Get ready to be sent to dreamland." Mandy whispered into his ear. "But don't worry. Like any fairy tale ending, I'll kiss you to wake you up."
Kaito got desperate. He lifted himself up to his knee, but Mandy squeezed his head harder. He then shot his elbow into her causing her to let go, but she retaliated with a knee strike to his head. She wanted to finish him then and there, so she set him up and lifted him to his knees. She then took a few steps back and ran toward him ready to deliver her finishing move, Kiss the Rose.
Mandy shot her knee, but much to her surprise, Kaito dodged his head away. Not only that, but at the same time, he raised his arm to grab onto her leg. He wasted no time taking her by surprise and holding her over his shoulders in a fireman's carry. He spun around until he reached the corner and hung the dizzy Goddess in a tree of woe.
"What's that about sending me to dreamland?" Kaito taunted. He ran toward her and turned ramming his back to her. The collision made Mandy fall to the mat.
Realizing that Mandy was done, Kaito wanted to make sure she stayed down. So he climbed up the corner and stood at the top rope. He jumped off and flipped landing his back onto her with his finisher, Marx the Spot. The impact brought Mandy Rose to near unconsciousness, which made it easier for Kaito to leave the ring and toss his crown into the fire.
DING-DING!
"It looks like the Christmas spirit is really shining on Kaito Marx this year! He's really improving! This is probably his best mistletoe match yet! Mandy Rose put up a good fight, but Kaito pulled off his win! Only one match left, so let's get to it!"
*Queen Bee vs Charlotte Flair*
The final match was already being set. The ring crew removed the hearth and extended the ring posts to reach high overhead. Each post had a small present dangling from it by a rope. Inside the ring, Queen Bee and Charlotte Flair stood in their respective corners eager for the match to start. Charlotte gave a smile that showed she wasn't taking Bee seriously making her more upset than she was before.
"And here we are, with our final match of the event, the Christmas Present on a Poll match! All the presents must be opened and used before a pinfall or submission can be counted! Competing here is none other than our Xtrema ace and World Champion, Queen Bee, and the Queen of WWE, Charlotte Flair! Which queen will be victorious in this main event? Let's find out!"
DING-DING!
Queen Bee took the initiative and ran toward Charlotte. The Queen, who thought she was running to her defeat, fired a kick at her, but Queen Bee ducked and continued running past Charlotte. She bounced off the rope and dropkicked Charlotte as soon as she turned around. She gained some distance while Charlotte stood back up and dropkicked her one more time. When she got back up, Bee headed to clothesline her, but Charlotte stood her ground as she made contact. She then turned Queen Bee around and landed a Russian legsweep on her.
Charlotte grabbed Bee's right leg and held it up, but then dropped it in a DDT-like slam. She didn't release her though. She turned Bee facedown and locked in an ankle lock. She pulled hard causing Queen Bee to scream. Finally, Queen Bee broke free by rolling on her back and kicking Charlotte in the kneecap. She kicked one more time putting Charlotte on her back before standing back up.
When Charlotte got back up, she was greeted with a shining wizard from Queen Bee.
"Consider that your early Christmas present, Flair!" Queen Bee taunted before heading to one of the corners. She pulled out a present and opened it up. Once she reached inside however, she pulled out a black, handheld device with a red button on it. Curious, she pressed it.
BUZZ!
Suddenly, a spotlight lit up revealing four black pillars that surrounded the ring. After that, music filled the arena, but it wasn't music that made Queen Bee hopeful.
The song was "Demon in Your Dreams". As it played, one of the pillars opened up and a brand new wrestler walked out. Queen Bee shook seeing Rhea Ripley climb up the ring and confront her.
"Looks like the cat's out of the bag for this main event's surprise!" Sayuri announced. "For those of you who don't get it, each present releases a new wrestler, two from different companies! They can be called in to aid their respective wrestlers! Just remember what I said: pins and submissions don't count until all four presents are unwrapped and used!"
Queen Bee shook the uneasiness out of her and swung a punch. However, Rhea caught her arm and struck her with a lariat. She picked her up by her arm and hit her again. She picked her up and threw her right into Charlotte, who caught her in a rear waistlock. Queen Bee was about to fight out of it, but Rhea punched her in the face. The dazed Bee was then picked up by Charlotte and crashed down in a German suplex.
After the suplex, Charlotte got up and joined Rhea's side. "So you and another is going to help me?"
"Yeah." Rhea replied. "I don't know who's in the other capsule, but I'm sure they want WWE to win the most matches as much as I do."
"Then I better let her out." Charlotte said. "In the meantime, how about you torment her leg?"
"Just be careful which one you pick." Rhea said. "The other two summons clowns from Xtrema."
Charlotte nodded and went to another present while Rhea grabbed Queen Bee's leg and lock in an Indian deathlock. She pulled hard on the hold putting Queen Bee in intense pain. The Queen of Pro Wrestling yelled out while Charlotte pulled out a second button and pressed it.
BUZZ!
The next capsule opened up, but what came out wasn't a WWE superstar. It was Clementine Cirrus, who sprinted into the ring and kicked Rhea off of Queen Bee with her cowgirl boot. She then helped Queen Bee up to her feet and placed her at the corner.
"Thanks, Clem."
"Take a breather, Bee." Clementine said. "I'm gonna teach this varmints what happens when they mess with my friend."
Charlotte charged toward Clementine, but the cowgirl caught her and lifted her over her shoulder. She then grabbed her ankles and sent her down with an Alabama slam. At the same time, Rhea Ripley returned to her feet and glared at Clementine with murderous intent.
The two locked up in a collar-and-elbow tie-up and Clementine pulled Rhea in a side headlock. Rhea quickly broke out of it by pushing Clementine off and having her run to the ropes. She ran back to ram her bicep onto Rhea, but much to her surprise, she didn't budge her. Rhea just gave an eerie smile. Clementine, starting to get nervous, swung her arm at her, but Rhea took it like a champion. She tried punching her again, but Rhea caught it and countered with a headbutt. She then grabbed her and threw her with a surprising Norther Lights suplex.
Seeing her friend in trouble, Queen Bee finally recovered and ran to Rhea. She grabbed her by her head and Irish whipped her to the corner. She then kicked her in the stomach many times until she fell into a seated position. She then stepped away for Clementine to jump to Rhea and hit her with her signature bronco buster. After that, the two of them pushed Rhea out of the ring and looked to the standing Charlotte. She was still recovering, so the two took advantage of that by running right at her with a combined clothesline.
"I could do this all night," Queen Bee said, "But I still need all women released before I can finish her."
"Okay, but be careful." Clementine warned. "Right now, your chances are fifty-fifty, and I don't know who's in the other capsules."
"Well, only one way to find out." Queen Bee said picking a box at random. She opened it and pulled out another buzzer which she pressed.
BUZZ!
The next capsule opened, and both Xtrema wrestlers raised their guards to see who it was. Much to their delight, however, it turned out to be Freya. The icy wrestler with the amazon build climbed into the ring and joined Queen Bee and Clementine Cirrus.
"I was wondering where you would be." Queen Bee said. "It would've felt weird to have a Christmas special for Xtrema and exclude the iciest wrestler on the roster."
"Let's just wear her down." Freya said. "Once we beat her to near unconsciousness, we can unwrap the last button. Hopefully, Queen Bee will be able to pin Charlotte before the final WWE wrestler can get in the ring."
"This should be fun." Clementine said as she and Freya picked Charlotte up by her arms.
However, the WWE wrestler powered out of their arms and ran to Queen Bee with a spear. She got up and managed to spear Clementine too. She ran to deliver one last spear to Freya, but she stood her ground and grabbed Charlotte by her waist. She held her up and sent her crashing in a powerbomb.
Freya helped both Clementine and Queen Bee up before grabbing Charlotte by her arms while the cowgirl grabbed her ankles. They both held her up just as Queen Bee climbed on up the nearest corner. With Charlotte well set up, Queen Bee jumped off and dropped both her knees onto Charlotte's body making her crash to the ring.
"Well, I think she's just about done." Queen Bee said before heading to the last corner.
After unwrapping the present and pulling out the last button. She made sure to plant herself over Charlotte Flair before pressing it.
BUZZ!
The last capsule opened, and the last wrestler came running out. Much to everyone's fear, it turned out to be the Irresistable Force, Nia Jax. Rather than face someone as big and brutal as her, Queen Bee dropped herself on top of Charlotte waiting for the pin.
1… 2…
All of a sudden, a hand grabbed Queen Bee's ankle and pulled her off of Charlotte and out of the ring. She found herself face to face with Rhea Ripley again while Nia Jax entered the ring and confronted Clementine and Freya.
As soon as Queen Bee was brought at ringside, Rhea grabbed her by her throat and held her up before slamming her down on the floor. She then picked her up and Irish whipped her hard to the barricade. She pulled her away from it only to tackle her back to the barricade. She then grabbed Bee's leg and propped it up on top of the barricade. She then struck it with a double ax handle followed by a kick to her thigh.
Meanwhile, in the ring, Clementine and Freya double-teamed Nia Jax and swung their punches at her. She was almost down to her knees before she pushed them both away. She then carried Clementine over her shoulders effortlessly before slamming her back down in a Samoan drop. She then stood to confront Freya who struck her with a forearm bash. Nia took it and countered with her own. The two kept hitting each other until Freya couldn't fight back anymore. She was getting a phased by the attacks. Suddenly, she felt something grab her by her legs. It was Charlotte Flair holding her in place while Nia Jax delivered a kick right at Freya's chest. Charlotte stood back up while tripping Freya. Nia Jax then ran to both Clementine and Freya one after another with a leg drop to each. She and Charlotte then pushed them both out of the ring.
Back to Queen Bee and Rhea Ripley, the Eradicator had the Queen of Pro Wrestling in a bearhug hearing the strained struggles from her.
"You want to wrestle with the big girls, little one!" Rhea roared into her ear. "You've got a long way to go!"
"Rhea, bring her in so we can finish this." Charlotte said.
Rhea nodded and threw Queen Bee into the ring. While she followed her, Nia grabbed Queen Bee and held her up over her shoulders. She then hit her with the Annihilator. After that, Rhea Ripley picked her back up only to send her back down with the Riptide. Finally, Charlotte Flair grabbed Queen Bee by her leg.
"Merry Christmas, kid."
She effortlessly locked in a figure-four leglock which she then transitioned into the figure-eight. Queen Bee yelled feeling an intense, unrelenting pain in the leg which has been tortured all night. Clementine and Freya tried to climb back into the ring, but they were soon beaten off the apron by Rhea and Nia. With no hope in sight, Queen Bee was forced to tap out.
DING-DING!
"It's finally over, folks! These six powerful ladies managed to pull off a brutal main event that I'm sure none of us will forget! The odds were certainly in the Xtrema girls' favor, but after Nia Jax arrived and Rhea Ripley interjected herself, things went downhill very quickly! And because of that, the winners are Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Nia Jax winning WWE with the majority of the matches tonight! We'll see you all in one hour while you all cast your votes in the MVP!"
*MVP*
An hour later, the fans formed a crowd half as big as Woodstock around the bright stage that lit up in the snowy Christmas Eve. Sayuri Rogue stood at the stage in front of every wrestler who won their respective matches. Each of them wore their Christmas sweaters which were decorated with little Christmas lights and stitched Christmas items on the wool. Sayuri Rogue had an envelope in one hand and a microphone in the other which she then raised to her own voice.
"This is it, everyone! I hold in my hand the top three wrestlers, one of whom was voted as the MVP of this year's Christmas Special! Here's hoping this makes up for what happened last year, but for now, let's address our winners!
"Our first winner was Liv Morgan who picked up a win over Sam Hamilton! Our second contender is Carly X, who, despite her opponent, Alexa Bliss, having the no-DQ advantage, managed to defeat her. Up next, we have Beth Phoenix! She and Thunder Mana really went neck-and-neck during the Jingle Bell Strap match, but the Glamazon really pulled through! Our next three contenders are none other than the winners of our capture the flag game, Lacey Evans, Billie Kay, and Peyton Royce! Just remember that only one of them can be the MVP! Next up is Liza Surkova, who went through Hell through a decorated Christmas house to send Shayna Baszler down the chimney! Our next winner is the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka, who did more than just fight over the star with Scarlette! The next name happens to be Clover who powered through and managed to pick up a win over the Man in the Miracle on 34th Street Fight! Kaito Marx won the penultimate match evading the last kiss and picking up his biggest win in Christmas special history! Last, but definitely not least, we have our three final winners who won the special Present on a Pole match: Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Nia Jax!
"The people have spoken, and now, we'll see who the most valuable player is!"
Sayuri Rogue opened the envelope and read the results inside. She smiled and made her announcement.
"Ladies and gentlemen, here are our winners! Our third place MVP was Clover for her stunning performance and inventive use over the environment! For second place, the fans have voted Liza Surkova for powering through despite the arm injury that Shayna gave her! Lastly, it is my upmost pleasure to announce the MVP is none other than… ASUKA!"
Asuka jumped from the line-up and ran excitedly toward Sayuri who gave her the check. She snatched it and proclaimed many excited shout-outs in Japanese.
"All right, Asuka. All right." Sayuri said calming the Empress of Tomorrow down. "Now, time for the million dollar question. What would you like for Christmas?"
Asuka answered with a whisper into Sayuri's ear. She smiled and nodded.
"Very well. I'll see what I can do as soon as the time comes."
Asuka smiled and held up her check to the cheering crowd. While they did that, Ryuji Hashimoto approached Sayuri and asked quietly.
"What did she say?"
"She said that if WWE ever released her for any reason, then I would guarantee her a spot in the Xtrema roster, and that I would give her a championship match for her debut."
"Well, she'd certainly be taking advantage of the Christmas benefit, I'd say." Ryuji said.
Sayuri nodded in agreement before addressing the crowd. "All right, everyone! We hope you enjoyed this year's Christmas Special! Be sure to have yourselves a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!"
