The candles' glow was so soothing and peaceful that no one seemed to move for a good while. Even when a sweet piano melody filled the silence it was serene and only added to the feeling that permeated the air of the festival grounds.
(1) "Dear Santa, I have a secret Christmas wish. I know you know it well. It's something that I want so much, I can not even tell! If I believe with all my heart I know it can come true. But if that never happens. I will always believe in you!"
Though the voice was definitely like that of a child no one really knew where it had come from or who had sung it.
Then North, in the gentlest voice Jack could ever remember him using- and that included when he whispered in aw at Jamie on the night of the battle in Burgess, sang: "Someone vas listening, someone vas there, vhile you vere vhispering your vonder to the air. Someone vas vatching you and someone can say, your hopes and your dreams aren't forgotten, zey might all just come true today."
North and the child's voices started singing together, their two different verses mingling so well it created a wondrous chores that was picked up by one after the other of the spirits and mythics.
North then joyfully sang: "Because you believe, I'm happy to say, your hopes and your dreams aren't forgotten…"
The child's voice then sang: " I know it can come true and when one day that happens…"
"They might all just come true today!"
As the music ended the feeling of belief was incredibly strong. It seemed to glow even more brightly than the stars and the candles.
