It had been a week since Kevin was taken out of the hospital and Andrea reconciled with Bruce, practically starting a new romantic relationship together. Now the downside was that Andrea would have to quit her old job and leave Bellevue. But Kevin was nonetheless happy for Andrea knowing she would now be living in Gotham with Bruce for good. At least someone was getting a happy ending through all this Kevin jokingly thought. With some help, Andrea had finally moved all her stuff into Wayne Manor and decided to go shopping to make a cake that she could give to Bruce and Kevin as a way of saying thanks for letting her move in. She was buying ingredients to make a chocolate chip red velvet cake, something that Kevin loved when he was a kid, and she figured Bruce might like it too. While shopping around, she accidentally bumped into Commissioner Gordon. "Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry," apologized Andrea as she looked over the carts to see if anything was damaged. So far, nothing was damaged on both carts. "It's quite alright," said Jim as he recognized Andrea, "hey aren't you Kevin Beaumont's mother?"
"I am," confirmed Andrea, "it's nice to see you Commissioner." Jim gave a small smile and said, "and to you as well. My daughter Barbara considered Kevin a good friend." Andrea gave a sympathetic look and said, "I heard about what happened. I'm really sorry that happened." Jim gave a somber look and said, "thank you. I just hope wherever she is, Barbara's okay… how's your son holding up?" Andrea sighed, "he'll heal physically. But he misses Babs. There are days when he'll think about your daughter and he gets sad. He feels guilty for what happened." Jim nodded and said, "he really loved her. If you see him, tell him I said hello."
"I'll be sure to," said Andrea. Jim then asked, "Bruce Wayne's the father, isn't he?" Andrea nodded and said, "yep." Before Jim could say anything, suddenly the ceiling broke down as the hulked up Selina came crashing down, causing various people to scream or run away. She growled and glared around. "Which one of you is Andrea Beaumont?!?!?!" Selina roared. Andrea gave a look of fright and disbelief as she awkwardly uttered, "uh…" Selina jerked her head towards Andrea and hissed with jealousy, "so… You're the bitch Bruce chose over me…" Jim got out his gun and said, "don't come any closer to her, or else I'll shoot!" Selina laughed in a condescending manner, "You really think you can stop me with that toy gun? I'm bulletproof, dum-dum!" She snatched Jim's gun and crumpled it like it was tinfoil and then she slapped Andrea hard enough to knock her unconscious. Selina caught Andrea in her arms and said, "now listen here, Jimbo. You tell the bat that I have his girlfriend, and if he wants her back in one piece, he'll have to surrender to me in 12 hours! And don't even think about trying to trick me, Jim. I will find out." She then leapt out of the store with the unconscious Andrea in her arms, her shoes flying off!
Meanwhile, Kevin and Bruce were at Wayne Manor, and Zatanna Zatara was at the house to help heal Kevin's collarbone. "Thank you again for coming over to help heal my son, Zatanna." Bruce said with gratitude. "Of course Bruce," said Zatanna, "I just wish I'd mastered the ability to cast spells that cure paralysis years ago. If I mastered it back then, Barbara would be able to walk again and she and you wouldn't be in this mess, Kevin." She sighed sadly and Kevin said, "don't blame yourself for that, Zee. I'm not really an expert in magic, but sometimes it takes ages for any magic user to become super powerful." Zee gave a warm smile and she pulled out her magic wand. She placed her wand on Kevin's collar and said, "laeh Nivek Stnomuaeb enobralloc dna tfel mra dna evomer sih tsac!" POOF! Kevin's collarbone and his left arm were no longer broken and dislocated and were finally healed and practically back to normal, and his cast disappeared as well. "There, I removed your cast so that you wouldn't go to the trouble of having to manually remove it," said Zee. Kevin felt his collarbone and left arm and moved it up and down. "Oh my goodness," he said with enthusiasm, "my collarbone and my arm don't hurt anymore! I'm more of a righty, but still, I can now use my left arm for playing basketball and cooking again!" He laughed with grateful excitement and he happily said while shaking the magician's hand, "thank you so much Zatanna! I really appreciate this!"
"Of course," replied Zee as she smiled at Kevin and Bruce, "It's the least I can do to help." Kevin raised his left hand and said, "hey Dad, up top?" Bruce chuckled a little and decided to high five his son's left hand, just to humor him. Alfred then walked in and said, "Master Bruce, glad as I am to see Master Kevin be healed from his injuries that Bane caused, I've come to inform you that the red phone from the cave is ringing." As anyone knows, whenever Commissioner Gordon needed to summon Batman during the night time, he would always light up the sky with the Bat Signal on top of the Gotham City Police Department. With the exception of missions involving the Justice League, it was often rare for Batman to deal with any crime during the daytime. And usually one of his other allies such as Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, Robin, or many of the other female Bats could deal with it sometimes. But whenever Batman was needed during the daytime, he had a red phone that only Commissioner Gordon and Superman knew the number to. While Superman rarely needed Batman's help, sometimes Commissioner Gordon would call Batman if he needed the detective's help on a daytime case, or if one of the rogues was out in the open in the daytime. Bruce nodded and said, "I'll be right back." He and Alfred went to the Batcave down below Wayne Manor and looked for the red phone. It was ringing like mad as Bruce approached it. He picked it up and said in his naturally gruff voice, "This is Batman."
"Batman, am I glad to hear your voice." Jim said on the other line. "Jim, I wasn't expecting you to call at this time," said Bruce. "Well this one's an emergency," said Jim, "I witnessed Selina Kyle crash through the supermarket and she abducted Kevin's mother Andrea." Bruce's eyes widened in shock. He should've realized that Selina was serious when she warned she would sabotage his relationship with Andrea. "Where are they?" Bruce calmly asked, clenching his fist. "I don't know, Batman." Jim replied, "Kyle didn't specify her exact location. She told me you have less than 12 hours to rescue Beaumont and surrender to her. What should we do?"
"I don't know, Jim." Bruce said, "I'll talk to my allies and we'll think of a plan to rescue Andrea. Thank you for informing me of this." Jim replied, "You're welcome. And Godspeed." Bruce then hung up. He and Alfred went back upstairs and when they found Kevin, Bruce said, "Kevin. Selina kidnapped your mother." Kevin gasped in shock and said, "oh no. What do we do?" Bruce looked down and said, "I don't know, son. But it's quite clear that Selina is doing this out of jealousy because of my relationship with your mother. But I'm going to make a promise to you. I'm not going to let Andrea die at Selina's hands, no matter what it takes. Thankfully Renee has come to the side of good due to her feelings for Kate. The two of them could help as well as Stephanie and Cassandra…the four of them are possibly strong enough to take on Selina altogether." Then, an idea clicked in Kevin's head. "I actually know someone else who could help," said Kevin, "but I don't know if you'll like what I have in mind…"
An hour later, Kevin drove all the way to a forest past Gotham City. He insisted on driving alone, especially if it meant he could test out how well his left arm and collarbone were working after the spell. So far so good. She had to be there. Kevin parked his car to the side, and got out. He opened the trunk and got out the blue duffel bag, shutting the trunk. He wandered into the forest, looking around. For five minutes he kept on looking, until he heard what sounded like two specific creatures roaring and wrestling. One sounded inhuman, the other sounded like a bear. The bear kept on roaring as Kevin could hear punches. A minute later, a seven foot black bear stumbled out, it walked on its hind legs like it was a drunk person, and its growls sounded slurred and sluggish, like it was inebriated or seeing stars. The bear then fainted to the side, knocked out cold. A definite sign Barbara was there. Kevin walked past the knocked out bear and carefully asked, "Barbara?" A pair of green eyes looked at Kevin behind the trees. Barbara then came out of the trees in all her green, naked, eight foot, muscular glory. Kevin bit his lip and decided to look at Barbara's eyes. "How did you find me?" she asked. "Dad and I asked Superman to look for you through his flight, super sight, and super hearing," explained Kevin, "I mean, Superman's super hearing is so acute, he can practically tell which one is Bruce's heartbeat. I had to look for you, Babs."
"I'm glad to see your collarbone and arm are all healed up," said Barbara, "what's in the duffle bag?" Kevin showed the duffle bag and replied, "clothes. I figured you might like some in case you got cold." Barbara shook her head and replied, "I don't know the meaning of the word cold. It doesn't bother me. And besides, I like being naked. It feels liberating." Kevin started to blush, because he almost agreed with what Barbara said. Barbara showed off her naked body and wiggled her toes, she teased, "see anything you like?" Kevin shyly said, "Babs… stooooop…" He was starting to get aroused, and Babs could see his bulge packing inside his pants. "I'm just teasing ya," chuckled Barbara as she gently nudged him, "now I can tell you didn't come all this way here because you wanted to do the hoitus coitus. What's going on?" Kevin collected himself, and then said with enough calmness, "Selina attacked my mom. She's jealous that my mom is back together with Dad because she clearly wanted to try her luck with Dad, and I guess she didn't take the rejection well because now she's kidnapped my mom and we have no idea where they are! She's demanding Dad surrender to her or else Mom will die. I need your help handling this." Barbara listened, and as Kevin explained the dilemma, her face grew more serious and concerned the more she listened. "That does sound like a real pickle," she replied, thinking about what to do.
"Would you be willing to help us handle this?" Kevin asked, "I was also thinking of using knockout gas. I know that darts would be impossible to use." Babs smirked and replied, "you've got that right. Okay Kevin, I'll help you and Bruce. I know how much Andrea means to you, and I wouldn't want you to lose your mother. Believe me, I know how that feels." Her face grew more serious as she continued, "And if I'm being honest, it's time I faced Bruce and my father. I've gotta make things right for them. So of course I'll help." Kevin beamed and said, "oh thank you so much, Barbara! I'm glad to know that there's still good and you!" He then hugged Barbara, more hugging her legs since she was eight feet tall. When he realized the height limitations, he awkwardly said, "sorry." He stopped hugging her and Babs said, "no it's fine. I won't lie, I actually missed you. Saying goodbye to you was one of the toughest decisions I've ever made in my life." Kevin smiled sadly and replied, "I missed you too."
"So how did you get here?" Barbara asked. "I drove all the way here in my car," replied Kevin. Barbara said in realization, "I'm gonna have to shrink down to my regular self so that I don't damage your car." Kevin awkwardly rubbed his arm and said, "I'll, uh, see if I can find you something in this duffle..." He turned the other way and knelt down, looking through the duffle bag. Barbara closed her eyes and breathed slowly, willing herself to turn back. The breathing method worked, and Barbara started to change. Her muscular body started to shrink and lose muscles, her huge feet became a small size six and feminine, her hands back to being small and petite, and her breasts back to being moderate. Her green skin turned back to Caucasian white, and gone were the green highlights of her red hair as she shrunk back down to her 5 ft 11 height. Barbara opened her eyes which were back to being sky blue, and she was back to her human self, naked. The first thing Barbara felt was the coldness surrounding her naked body. She started to shiver and said, "sh-sh-shit! Now I remember what the cold is! Brrrr!" Her teeth started to chatter like mad. Kevin then found blue sweatpants and a black coat. He gave them to Barbara while trying to not look at her private areas and said, "here you go, Babs. Guess the cold is starting to make you reconsider everything, eh?" Barbara took the warm clothes and said, "sure does. Thanks Kevin. And thank you for not being a pervert even when you had a free view." She then put on the sweats and coat, feeling less cold. "Want to borrow my Chucks?" Kevin offered, "you may have invulnerable skin when you're 8 feet and green, but when you're in your human form and you're barefoot, I bet your feet wouldn't want to catch anything that could hurt." Barbara giggled, "that would be nice. Did you think my feet were sexy when they were big and green?" Kevin took off his Chuck Taylors and said, "yes. I think your feet are pretty when they're both regular and big and green…please don't tell my mom I said that if she survives this…" Barbara brushed her bare feet to make sure nothing was on then and then put Kevin's shoes on her feet and said, "don't worry, I won't kink shame." She followed Kevin all the way to his car and they got in, the duffle bag in the trunk. Kevin then started to drive, leaving the forest and getting back to Gotham. "Alright," said Barbara, "we better form a plan to find Selina and your mother, and we should think of a plan to stop Selina without using deadly force. What kind of gas were you thinking of using?"
