It was by now night time, and much to Barbara's surprise, Bruce, Alfred, Damian, Tim, Jason, Cassandra, Stephanie, and Kate were more happy to see Barbara and relieved to know that she was alive. They spent part of those hours developing a suit that could stretch to Barbara's large amazon body, And also developing a gas bomb since knockout darts would be difficult to use on skin that was practically impervious to blades and bullets. They also developed a Gamma Venom signature detector as a means to find Selina or any muscular brute. Bruce also felt it would be appropriate to use one of his prototype suits, one that he nicknamed "Batman Beyond."

Selina and Andrea were at the top of the old abandoned Shreck Industries building, this was where Selina used to work back when she was Max Shreck's assistant secretary before she became Catwoman. When she found out how corrupt her boss was, her boss threw her out the window and she became Catwoman afterwards, murdering him in revenge. Selina was impatiently waiting for Batman to show up and Andrea said, "Selina please, you don't have to do this… we don't have to be enemies…" Selina glared at Andrea and growled, "you became my enemy when Bruce chose YOU over ME! Batman is mine, you have no right to him!"

"Jealousy won't accomplish anything. All it will do is cause more suffering." Andrea tried to reason, "what good will murdering me accomplish? Trust me, I know why you became Catwoman, I know what it's like to become a vigilante for the sake of revenge. It brought me no satisfaction, if you kill me, you'll be hurting Bruce, do you really want to cause that?" Selina got more angry and grabbed Andrea by the neck with one arm, lifting her up. At this point Selina was seeing red. Andrea couldn't breathe as she tried to loosen Selina's grip, gagging. "You're really starting to get on my fucking nerves and I'm getting this close to killing you right now, Andi." Selina threatened, using her freehand to pinch between her fingers when she said "this close" to truly indicate her annoyance. Andrea's face was starting to turn blue as she couldn't breathe, as Selina was smiling with sadistic pleasure at hurting her. Suddenly, Barbara's low voice shouted, "HEY!" Selina turned around and saw Barbara in her eight foot muscular green form, but this time she was wearing a dark purple one piece suit that looked like an athletic swimsuit, with a yellow bat symbol on the center of the chest, and she was barefoot. The suit had elastic clothing material similar to the elastic suits worn by Plastic Man and Elongated Man, perfect for Barbara's large body.

"Get away from her, you BITCH!" Barbara roared. Selena got mad and demanded, "WHERE'S BRUCE?!?!?!" Her grip tightened on Andrea's neck. "That's irrelevant," said Barbara, "stop strangling Andrea and let her go." Selina gave an evil smile and replied, "as you wish. But you should really be more specific with your words, Princess." She then tossed Andrea out of the building and she fell down. Due to being strangled with one large hand, Andrea was unable to scream as she was falling when suddenly, someone in a black and red bat suit swooped in and rescued her. Andrea started to breathe properly and looked to see who caught her before she could fall to her death and she saw it was Bruce in a brand new Batsuit. "You're safe now, Andrea. I've got you," said Batman as he looked at Andrea with relief. "Bruce, is that a new bat suit?" Andrea asked as she noticed the lack of a cape, red wings on his armpits, the new black cowl covering his mouth, and what appeared to be rocket boots. "It's a prototype," said Batman. "I like it," complimented Andrea, "it makes you look badass." As Andrea felt the wind on her hair and her bare feet, she then kissed Batman on the lips.

Selina looked down and was disappointed when she saw Andrea survived. "I can't believe this!" She shouted incredulously, "If I can't have Bruce to myself, NO ONE WILL! AND I'LL COME AFTER HIM AND ANDREA WHEN I'M DONE WITH YOU!!!" Barbara smirked and said, "come and get me then." Selina roared and pounced at Barbara, throwing her to the ground. Barbara countered that by headbutting Selina, throwing her off guard. Barbara then tackled Selina and the two of them fell out of the top of the building. Selina clawed and punched while Barbara punched and elbowed as well, willing to fight dirty. Both women were evenly matched, and Babs felt it wasn't necessary to go Berserker on Selina. Soon they landed on the street, and the amazon women continued their dirty fight. Barbara punched Selina in the face, and Selina countered the attack by clawing at Barbara's face. Distracted, Selina placed the toes on her right foot on Barbara's right knee, and then with her left foot, kicked Barbara in the chin, kicking her a few feet in the air. Barbara somersaulted and landed on her feet, but Selina pounced and crossed her legs on Barbara's neck, slapping and clawing at her face. She then grabbed Barbara's head and body slammed her to the ground. Barbara got up while wiping blood from her mouth, and Selina roared, "WHY WON'T YOU DIE?!?!?!"

"Am I pissing you off?" Barbara teased as she kicked Selina back. They kept on punching and kicking each other, until they were at a specific building. That building was the old abandoned building of Daggett Industries. Barbara tackled Selina into the building, and Selina punched Barbara in the chin, getting back up. "You've always been a pain in the ass!" Selina hissed, "even when you were Batgirl! And you're still an annoying mouse with wings!" Barbara crossed her arms and said, "at least I wouldn't take extreme measures to sabotage a relationship." And right outside Daggett Industries, Kevin was outside, and he had what looked to be a tear gas grenade. Kevin pulled the pin and said, "yippee ki-yay and Allons-y!" He threw the grenade inside where Barbara and Selina were at, and Barbara took a deep breath since she was strong enough to hold her breath for longer periods of time than any ordinary person. The grenade let out a mysterious colored gas, and before Selina had time to comprehend what was happening, Barbara punched Selina right in the stomach, forcing her to breathe in the gas. As Selina was forced to breathe in this mysterious gas, she started to feel woozy and everything was starting to look swirly. This was knockout gas which was strong enough to knock out an elephant and a rhinoceros all at once! Selina coughed and gagged, trying to fight the gas. "You… *ack* tricked… *gag* me… *wheeze*" coughed Selina as she was starting to get tired, "you… bi…" And that's when Selina fell flat on her face, knocked out. As Selina lay unconscious, she started to change. Her buff body started to shrink down, her arms and legs losing their muscles, abs gone, her breasts shrank back to their normal size, her large hands becoming small, slender, and feminine, and her big feet shrinking back to a feminine size 7. Her green skin turned back into a Caucasian white, and Selina was back to her 5'7 human form, naked.

Barbara then left Daggett Industries, seeing Kevin outside waiting for her as she finally let out a breath knowing that she wouldn't be in any danger of breathing in the knockout gas. The scratches on her face were also starting to heal. "I just got word that Dad rescued Mom," said Kevin. "Yep, they're okay," confirmed Barbara, "Selina's out cold and shrunk back down, for now." Kevin nodded and said, "Dad called Stephanie and Cassandra, they'll head over to bring Selina into ARGUS, and to make sure Selina doesn't regain consciousness. After all, they made sure no civilians got caught in the crossfire." He held Barbara's hand and said, "thank you again for helping us rescue Mom." Barbara smiled a little and said, "of course. She raised you to be a good man, and I wouldn't want you to lose her under cruel circumstances." Although she blushed when Kevin held her hand, she welcomed the gesture. Before Kevin was ready to ask Barbara if she wanted to stay, suddenly her father said from far away, "Barbara?"

Kevin and Babs could see her father Jim approaching them, recognizing his daughter. Barbara knew that eventually she would have to face her father after owning up to everything she had done. She looked at her father and said, "hey Dad…" Jim was then right next to her and Kevin, literally looking up at his daughter. "My god, I thought I lost you," he said with a mixture of worry and relief. Barbara's face changed to a face of guilt and distraughtness. "Dad… I… I'm really sorry…" she said with remorse, "I didn't mean to… I don't know what came over me! I was just so happy to walk again… I didn't want to become a…"

"Barbara, listen to me," interrupted Jim, "You are not a monster. Kevin refused to believe you were one, and I agree with him. You just got a bit carried away, that's all. I should have tried to talk to you when you killed the Joker. I know that incident has played on you for years. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." Barbara slumped on the ground. She gazed at her powerful body as she clenched her fists. She explained, "Dad, I was protecting you. When I…"

"When you were Batgirl all those years ago," finished Jim. Kevin and Barbara gasped in surprise. Barbara nodded her head despite the fact that she didn't expect her dad to know the truth of her crime fighting days, and she felt ashamed for keeping it a secret. Perhaps she wasn't as subtle as she thought she was back when she was Batgirl. "I wanted to tell you Dad," said Barbara, "but I wasn't sure how you would react." Jim replied, "Barbara you could have told me anything and I would have stood by you. Deep down, I was always proud of you because you have a strong sense of what is right and wrong, just like your dear old dad. And look at you, owning up to your mistakes and facing them head on instead of running away from them." The father and daughter then embraced him in a gentle hug, reconciled. Jim looked at Kevin and said, "thank you for saving her." Kevin, who was wiping tears from his face because of how emotionally overwhelmed he was, said, "we rescued each other, Commissioner… I mean Jim."

Once the hugging ceased, Jim joked, "I hope that I wasn't interrupting anything between you two." Barbara stood back up and Kevin said, "well… I was gonna ask Barbara if she would be willing to stay in Gotham, for good this time." He held her hand. "You really want me to stay?" Barbara asked, holding Kevin's hand right back. "Barbara, if you left again, I don't know if I would ever be happy again," said Kevin, "I still want to be with you because I love you…" It was miraculous that no one came in to smash Kevin before he could say the word. "Do you really think we could make this work?" Barbara asked, "I'm practically a piping hot mess, Kevin… hell, what if when we're sleeping together in bed, I might have a nightmare of what Joker did to me and I transform and I accidentally hurt you? And if we get sexually intimate, at worst you could die from radiation poisoning, and at best you could get infected and end up like me." Those thoughts had been in Barbara's mind during her solitude. "Every relationship always has its risks," said Kevin, "and if those are the risks, I'm willing to take them if it means we can be together. Everything will be alright, Barbara. I promise that I will remain loyal to you and I will never give up on you, green or not. I'll always love you." Barbara's heart was touched by Kevin's compassion and kindness for her, and it was a reminder of why she loved him in the first place. And it didn't hurt that he was into giant women. She smiled and gently picked Kevin up. "And I'll always love you too, Kevin Beaumont," said Barbara as she then kissed Kevin on the lips. Kevin kissed Barbara's lips right back, wrapping his arms around her. The two lovers were on Cloud Nine, happy to start a romantic relationship and to be together, flaws and all.
