It is with this that Fantasia Quest begins its first chapter. This is a story I came up with some time ago. Please accept my apologies in advance for this being my first real story. Having said that, I hope you enjoy.
Once upon a time, in the lands of Fableus, a grand ball was being held to celebrate the alliance of the six heroes and their victory over the wicked goblin king. There was laughter, music, and the enchanting presence of children from all the kingdoms at the ball.
One of the attendees was the son of the host, a young boy named Marcus who was wandering around with a bored expression on his face.
Marcus: Why'd mother and father throw this ball there's nothing to do.
His musings were cut short when he noticed,in his opinion, five of the prettiest girls he had ever seen.
He worked up his courage and went up to introduce himself.
Marcus: Hi it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Marcus.
The girls smiled and introduced themselves as Elsa, Jasmine, Cinderella, Mulan, and Tiana.
Marcus: So how are you girls enjoying the ball?
Cinderella: It's okay.
Mulan: But…
Elsa: It's kinda boring.
Tiana: With not much to do.
Jasmine: And most of the other kids here are stuck up jerks.
Marcus: Oh good I'm not the only one who thinks so.
Marcus then got an idea and hoped the girls would agree.
Marcus: Hey do you want to sneak out of here? We could go up to my room, I have some books we can read and games we can play. It'll be a lot more fun than staying here.
The girls happily agreed and soon they all snuck off and headed to his room. They spent the rest of the night laughing, playing, dancing, and telling stories. Soon it came time for them all to say goodbye, saddened and not wanting their friendship to end they promised to write to each other as to not lose touch.
Over the years, Marcus, Elsa, Jasmine, Cinderella, Mulan, and Tiana grew older, but their bond remained unbreakable. They supported each other through triumphs and challenges, celebrating each other's successes and offering words of encouragement during difficult times.
10 Years Later
The expansive sky was peaceful on this day, as always a beautiful shade of blue and filled with fluffy white clouds. This peace was soon broken when, emerging out of the clouds, came a galleon. Oddly enough, this galleon was no ordinary ship; it was, in fact, an airship, a vessel that sailed through the sky like one would in the sea.
This galleon was known as the Zephyr, and the one piloting it was a young man in his early twenties. He had shaggy brown hair, golden eyes, and a clean-cut face. He wore a red captain's coat over a white dress shirt, and a red undershirt beneath it. He also wore black slacks and brown leather boots. Like a parrot, a white dragon perched on his shoulder had golden horns and wings, as well as spines running down his back.
This young man was none other than Marcus Sid, and his dragon Rydraza. And these two were out on an enjoyable flight together.
Marcus: Ah, feel that wind, Rydraza. It's a glorious day for flying.
Rydraza: (screech)
Marcus: What do you say, buddy? Shall we have some fun?
Rydraza: (nods head)
With that, Marcus increased the Zephyr's speed, soaring through the sky at a breakneck pace. He began performing many tricks, including aileron rolls, corkscrews, and loop-de-loops, just to name a few. After their performance, the two of them laughed at their fun.
But unfortunately, their fun was cut short as they saw in the distance a tower of smoke. With a sense of urgency Marcus flew towards the smoke in order to see what was happening and how he could help. What he saw surprised him greatly, the source of the smoke was a village that was being raided by a horde of goblins.
In a matter of seconds, Marcus set the Zephyr down and ran into the village. As Marcus ran, he used the power of his magic to summon the Sword, one of his Arcane Arms, in order to protect himself. His Sword was a noble-looking longsword made of black and gold with intricate designs laden upon it. Now armed, Marcus charged in to fight the goblins and protect the people. He swung down at any goblins in his path, killing them quite easily. Ahead of him, he saw a group of villagers that were swarmed by the monsters.
As the villagers cowered in fear, Marcus bravely stepped forward, a grin on his face and his sword gleaming in the sunlight and fire. The goblins, with their beady eyes and sharp claws, snarled and charged towards him, determined to destroy everything in their path. Marcus ran his fingers across the blade of his Sword, coating it with magical energy, and then with a swipe of his Sword, he sent the energy out in a wave, taking down a good chunk of the goblin forces.
A fierce battle then ensued. Marcus parried an attack from a rushing goblin and kicked it back. He dodged the strike from another, then with a swift slash across its back, killed the monster.
Marcus: Come on, you ugly bastards. Is that all you've got? Here, I'll make it easier for you. I'll fight you with one hand behind my back.
The goblins became enraged by the disrespect that this human was showing them. A group of them charged at him, and Marcus just grinned. He charged a spell into his Sword and then pierced it into the ground, causing spires of ice to erupt under the goblins, killing several of them.
Marcus: Gotcha.
The villagers watched in awe as their hero fought off the goblin horde, defending their homes and livelihoods. Being inspired by his actions many of the villagers got up and grabbed anything they could use as a weapon to help fend off the horde and protect their villages.
In the end, Marcus and the villagers emerged victorious, the goblins defeated, and the village saved from destruction. After the battle, Marcus met with the village chief to assess the damage to the village and to find out what sparked the attack.
Marcus: So how bad is the damage?
Chief: Most of the houses are damaged and some are completely destroyed.
Marcus: And the people?
Chief: Luckily no casualties, at worst some cuts that'll need stitches and some broken bones. And before you ask, everyone is accounted for. We were very fortunate that you showed up when you did my lord.
Marcus: That's good to hear. Do you know what prompted them to attack?
Chief: That's the thing my lord they just came out of nowhere and we're nowhere near any goblin encampments.
Marcus: Okay yeah that is strange. I'll look into it and check with the Adventurer's Guide to see if they've heard anything. I'll see about getting some aid sent to help with the rebuilding and possibly to guard the village in case this happens again.
Chief: Oh thank you thank you your lordship.
Marcus: No problem, I'm happy to help.
With that said Marcus headed back to the Zephyr and flew off, heading towards the Adventurers Guild.
About a half an hour later Marcus and Rydraza made it back to the Capital of Fableus and were entering the Adventurer's Guild. The Guild Hall was a bustling hub of activity, filled with adventurers of all shapes, sizes, and races. The walls are adorned with maps, weapons, and trophies from various quests and adventures. The air is filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation as adventurers discuss their latest quests and plan for their next ones. The Guild members, from seasoned veterans to fresh-faced novices, all share a common love for adventure and exploration. They can often be seen huddled together, sharing stories and tips, forming bonds that will last a lifetime. This was like a second home to Marcus and the people here a second family.
Marcus looked around trying to find the Guildmaster, when he saw him at the counter he headed over to him.
The Guildmaster was a tall black man with dark caesar cut hair, dark glasses, and a soul patch. He was dressed in a black leather jacket and a white tunic underneath, faded blue pants, and black boots. This was Ray Sol 10th, but everyone just called him Boss.
He was accompanied by a tall dark skinned elven blue eyed beauty. She has long luxurious snow white hair, and wears a jet black and maroon bikini top and matching sarong. She's adorned with multiple pieces of golden jewelry. Attaching her long hooded cape to her bikini top is a single red ruby in a gold frame. This was La Sol, one of Boss's wives, and a former adventurer. Nowadays she assists her husband with running the guild.
Marcus: Hey Boss, La how are things today?.
Boss: Marcus.
Boss just nods at him, like he normally would.
La: Hello Marcus, how are things?
Marcus: I'm doing okay.
Rydraza: (Chirp)
La: It's good to see you too, Rydraza.
Though after she says that Marcus's expression changed to that of a serious one.
Marcus: Though before I came here I ran into something weird. A horde of goblins attacked a village out of nowhere with no provocation and there aren't any encampments nearby.
Boss and La both looked surprised at this news.
La: That is odd, and surprisingly not the first we've heard about something like this.
Boss: We've been getting reports from all over the area about goblin hordes attacking just out of nowhere.
Marcus: Damn this doesn't sound good, though I think I've read about something like this in my family library but I can't be certain, I'll have to go home and check. I'll return when I do, but in the meantime can you send some aid and protection to the village. I'll make it a formal quest if you need me to.
Boss: I'll see if I can round anyone up who'd be willing if not we'll make it a quest for you.
Marcus: Thanks Boss I'll be back later.
La: Good luck Marcus, hopefully you'll find something.
With their goodbyes said Marcus and Rydraza leave the Adventurer's Guild and head for the Yensid family manor.
Right after they leave from behind a door, out comes Kronk the guilds cook. He was a muscular man with wavy black hair, and a clean shaven face. He wore a yellow and blue sleeveless shirt, lavender shorts, and brown open toed sandals, alongside this he wore a chef's hat and an apron.
Kronk: Was that Marcus I just heard, did I just miss him?
La: Yeah sorry Kronk.
Kronk: Oh darn and I had a recipe I wanted him to try.
Boss: Maybe when he comes back later big guy.
Marcus began his journey home and admired the sights of the Capital along the way. The Capital was a magical city filled with towering castles, whimsical gardens, enchanting creatures, and various people of all kinds. The streets are lined with cobblestones and lined with colorful markets selling all sorts of fantastical items. Everywhere you turn, there are hints of magic and wonder, making Fableus a dreamlike destination for anyone who visits.
Soon enough Marcus reached his home, the Yensid family manor. It was a large three story building made of shimmering white stone and a single tall tower in the middle. The garden was filled with lush green grass, topiary designed to look like mystical creatures, and vibrant flowers. The entrance was marked by a grand gate, decorated with intricate ironwork and adorned with blooming vines.
Walking through the intricately designed front doors, Marcus was greeted by the head butler Edwin, an older gentleman with neatly combed gray hair and bushy mustache.
Edwin: Greetings Master Marcus back from your flight?
Marcus: Hello Edwin, and yeah I ran into something during my flight and now I need to look into something.
Marcus headed further into the manor heading towards the tower. Edwin following him continued their conversation.
Edwin: Master Marcus before you do your parents wish to speak with you about something important.
Marcus: It'll have to wait Edwin, I need to look into this first. Maybe you can give me a hand that way it can go a lot quicker.
Edwin: Very well sir please tell what you need help looking into.
Marcus informed Edwin about the goblin attack he dealt with and about other similar attacks that have been reported.
They soon came to the tower, Yen Sid's original home which the manor was built around as time went on. The tower was filled with all kinds of magical items and tools, as well as a library of all sorts of books.
Marcus: Okay Edwin look for anything involving goblins we need to find out why they're going out of their way to carry out these attacks.
With a look of determination Marcus scoured through many books in hopes to find what he's looking for, and with Edwin's help they were able to cover more ground.
A few hours have passed by and with neither of them having any luck they decided to take a small break.
Edwin: I'll fetch us some refreshments sir.
Marcus: Thank you Edwin.
Edwin then headed back downstairs and soon returned with a tray of milk and cookies, a guilty pleasure for Marcus.
Marcus: Thanks again Edwin.
Edwin: Of course sir, just make sure not to eat all of the cookies like you usually do.
Marcus just laughs nervously at that.
Soon after they had their milk and cookies the two got back to work looking for why the goblins attacked. Marcus's eyes fell upon on old journal, hoping it would have the information he sought he began to read it.
Marcus: Aha I found it.
As he continued reading he furrowed his brow in frustration.
Marcus: Damn it's illegible, most of the important information has faded.
With a look of concern Edwin turned to his young master.
Edwin: Sir what did you discover?
Marcus: Well it says that the only reason why the goblins would act in such a way is if they were being ordered to do so, but the only one they would take such orders from is….. and damn I can't make out the rest of it.
Marcus just signs in frustration at not getting a complete answer.
Edwin: Well at least you found why they are attacking.
Marcus: Yeah, still wish I knew who was doing it though.
Edwin: Now then shall we go see what your parents wish to discuss with you?
Marcus: Right I almost forgot about that, might as well.
The two descended the stairs with Edwin leading them to the Drawing Room. Upon entering Marcus saw his parents Darius and Rosaline sitting there.
Darius was a tall and regal man, with a broad build. His piercing blue eyes were framed by thick, dark eyebrows and his sharp jawline was covered by a well-groomed beard. His dark hair was neatly styled and he wore a royal blue jacket, adorned with intricate gold embroidery. He also wore trousers of a similar color only a shade darker, as well as black leather shoes.
Rosaline Yensid is a strikingly beautiful woman with fair skin and long, flowing chestnut hair and almond-shaped red eyes that sparkled like rubies. She is dressed in a beautiful lavender silk gown, she completed her ensemble with gold heels and a string of pearls around her neck.
Marcus: Hello mother and father sorry I didn't come earlier I had to look into something.
Darius: That's alright son.
Marcus: So you wanted to talk to me about something.
Rosaline: Yes we're going to have some guests staying with us for the immediate future.
Marcus: Oh anyone I know?
Darius: Yes, you remember your old friends Elsa, Jasmine, Cinderella, Mulan, and Tiana don't you?
Marcus: Of course I do. They're coming to stay, oh wow I haven't seen them since we were kids.
Darius and Rosaline smiled at their son, happy to see that he's excited to see his old friends again.
Marcus then gained a curious look on his face.
Marcus: Umm not that I'm not happy to see them again but why are they coming to stay?
Darius gave his wife a nervous look before answering his son.
Darius: Well here's the thing son, you remember the story of Yen Sid and the other heroes?
Marcus: Yeah of course. Our ancestor teamed up with the other heroes to seal away an ancient evil.
Darius: Well there's more to the story. The other heroes were powerful arch-demons, and Yen Sid made a deal with them in order to get their assistance. The deal that they all agreed on was at some point in time all our family would be united.
Marcus: What?
Darius and Rosaline chuckled nervously.
Rosaline: Congratulations dear, you're getting married.
Marcus: WHAT?!!!!!
And done, there's the first chapter finished. I'd like to thank my friends Sunblast X and Akito the Boxer for their help.
This is my first story and I'd like to thank everyone for their support. This story was born from the idea of what the Disney Princess would look like if they were Succubi as well as some inspiration from Crisis beats art's Princess Quest (the idea of Disney Characters in a fantasy adventure setting and not the other stuff). But just to let everyone know, the story is rated M for language, violence, and for ecchiness.
With that said I'd like to wish everyone happy holidays and a happy new year.
