"Maybe you need a new alpha," a 6'5 Burkina Faso man tells the dirty blond-haired half-wolf. The blond is tempted to kill but tilts his head to show that he's listening. The man smiles at the omega.
"Let me show you what it's like to be a part of a pack, Klaus," The man offers the man. The Original Hybrid looks at the wolves playing and sleeping.
"KLAUS! Bloody hell!" Rebekah's voice brings the wolf back. The itch is there, and he wants to follow through with the longing.
"Yes, sister," Klaus annoyed with her. She thinks that he can forgive her, but she's wrong. However, he didn't go after like his family thought he would.
"What will we do with this new pack in town?" Hayley questions the man. He blinks at her with surprise. She's in between Elijah and Jackson. Hope is on her lap, asleep.
"What pack, do you know?" He asks her. She looks at him for a while.
"The Konkobo pack," She says, and Klaus's heart skips a beat. Abidemi didn't tell him that they were coming. Edna and Herbert would have told him. Hayley, Jackson, and Keelin watch him. Clocking the reaction. The rest of the Mikaelsons were worried about the response.
"Do you know them, Niklaus?" Elijah questions, making Klaus's skin itch. He's not the alpha that he remembers anymore. They don't have the relationship that they used to have. Klaus doesn't submit to him anymore. Hayley knows he won't submit to her, and that's fine. However, she will continue to help the man out.
Hayley had smelt omega on the man and wanted to help him. Show him that he can rely on people. She can see and smell, longing to be a wolf. She doesn't know that Klaus thought of Elijah as alpha, but something happened, and that's not the case anymore. All she knows is that Klaus won't submit to anyone.
Klaus walks away. The family has noticed that Klaus has been acting differently and is worried about him. Klaus has always opened up to Elijah, but now he doesn't. He talks to Kol, but that's it. Kol likes having his big brother back. He goes to a place only he knows, undresses, and shifts. Klaus sees a big black wolf with green eyes.
It comes to him, and Klaus's ears flat back, close to the head, with the tail tucked between the legs, and slinking, slumping body posture is the position that Klaus finds himself in. The wolf licks the top of the head and snarls at the dark brown wolf. Klaus whines, and the dark wolf stays by his side. Both see two wolves coming, and the black wolf stands before Klaus. One of the wolves is a female alpha not submitting to him but showing that she's not a threat. The other wolf pressed against her. Mates.
Klaus sees Hayley and Jackson and whimpers. A gray wolf nuzzles against Klaus, and the omega plays with this beta. Hayley and Jackson are hurt to see Klaus being protected by the Konkobo pack. Hayley shifts back to human while Abidemi shifts to human. Hayley smiles at how protective the man is. He's shielding Klaus.
"I want to make sure that he's alright," She says. The man looks at her. He can sense a kinship with the two. He nods, not wanting to talk to the two unknown wolves.
"Jackson, let's go, as Klaus is okay. Thank you for protecting him," She says. Abidemi nods, and the two leave. He turns to see Nairobi breaking Klaus and Aiyanna up. Aiyanna has Klaus pin, and the omega is trying to free himself. Nairobi snaps at the beta.
"Aiyanna, let go of Klaus," Abidemi orders his beta. Klaus goes to him with a limp. Aiyanna had bitten his leg, and Klaus didn't like that. He doesn't like pain.
"Stay," The alpha suggests, and Klaus licks his hand. Abidemi rubs Klaus's head with love. Hayley and Jackson are back in New Orleans as the alpha and beta join their pack.
"Are you just going to leave him with that pack, Hayley?" Jackson questions. He might not like Klaus, but he is pack. Hayley sighs.
"Jackson, have you ever seen Klaus so relaxed?" She asks. She will protect him, even from his family. Jackson looks at her.
"No, but Hayley," Jackson is at a loss for words. The man can't see where his wife is coming from.
"Look, I know that Klaus can be a lot and frustrating, but so is the rest of the family. Klaus doesn't trust his siblings, and they don't trust him. Seeing Klaus with the pack and letting the man take over shows me they've known each other for a long time. I want Klaus to change for the better, and no one is letting him change. We've got to let him feel safe and protected," Hayley says. She's getting protective of Klaus.
"What do we do with the rest of the Mikaelsons?" Jackson questions. Hayley smiles at her husband. He might not support the family, but he will support his wife.
"We're going to let them leave Klaus alone," Hayley tells him.
