Merry Christmas everyone! I am sorry that this took a while, but I wanted to give you all memorable duels or in this case, a rematch between the Prince and King of the Ring! So Enjoy! I do not own anything of Yu-Gi-Oh! or its affiliates.

This was going to be one hell of a duel.

That was the thought of everyone, both SoL and EoD. They were all looking at the arena in tension filled anticipation. They watched as the King of the Ring walked up, decked out in his fearsome and familiar armor. Before him was Aster, the Prince of the SoL. Jaden had destroyed the boy before, but he had risen like the phoenix that he was. The boy was smug, but Jaden's entire face was blank.

The ref called them forward. Both did so. They handed one another their decks. Aster seemed disgusted that he had to touch those cards. As he shuffled, he had the urge to just rip up the cards or take a few out. But he froze when he saw the Ref's eyes on him. He grit his teeth, discarding his plans to sabotage Jaden. They handed one another their decks and walked back to their corners.

The ref raised his flags.

"Red Corner, are you ready?!" He asked Aster.

The man looked at the Ref.

"Before I start, I just have one thing to say to the so-called King." Aster said, a smirk on his face.

The Ref allowed it, not knowing what Aster was going to say. Here, the SoL prince smirked.

"The time I spent with your girl when she was part of us was one of intense pleasure for the both of us. If you get my meaning."

It was dead silent. Everyone looked at Alexis who looked horrified. Jasmine and Mindy placed hands on her shoulders. The blonde looked at them, tears in her eyes.

"Lex...did you?" Mindy asked.

"I...I can't...I can't remember..." Alexis whispered hoarsely.

Jaden's eyes became a darker shade. Aster laughed, knowing he got under Jaden's skin.

"Now I'm ready to show all the fate of those who resist the Light!" Aster stated proudly.

The ref own face was one of anger, but he ignored the commentary from the crazed former prince of the Ring. He lifted his flag toward Jaden.

"Blue Corner, are you ready?"

"Yes." Jaden gritted out, his disk spinning.

Aster thought for a moment that the yellow eye in the center was glowing. But he ignored it, deploying his disk, the blades of Jaden's snapping into place. Both drew their opening hand, a single cry going up.

"DUEL!"

Jaden: 8000/Aster: 8000

Both checked over their opening hands. Aster's mouth became a small scowl; his opening hand was not good. Four spell cards and one trap. He glanced over at Jaden. The teen's face betrayed nothing.

"I'll let you go first, Aster." Jaden said, making everyone shocked.

Aster didn't look a gift horse in the mouth. He drew his card and looked at it. He saw it was Diamond Dude and played it right away. The monster appeared, roaring. Aster chose not to use its effect right then, revealing a Spell card.

"Behold my Clocktower Prison!"

(Clocktower Prison – Type/Field/Effect.

Once per turn, during your opponent's Standby Phase: Place 1 Clock Counter on this card. While there are 4 or more Clock Counters on this card, you do not take any battle damage. If this card with 4 or more Clock Counters is destroyed and sent to the GY: Special Summon 1 "Destiny HERO - Dreadmaster" from your hand or Deck.)

Around them, a large tower with a clock face appeared. Aster placed a card facedown and used Diamond Dude's effect. It was a polymerization card. He sent it to the grave, Jaden's eyes narrowed. Guess Phoenix had more tricks up his sleeve. Well, that was alright. He did too. Aster ended his turn, Jaden drawing a card.

The clock moved forward from midnight to one.

Tower – Clock Counters: 1

Jaden ignored it, looking over his hand. He had plenty of monsters, three of them, two traps, and one spell. He saw Sunburst and nodded.

"I play Evil HERO Sunburn in attack mode!"

The blazing clone appeared, roaring. Jaden placed a card facedown, having her attack Diamond Dude. Aster reacted with his facedown.

"I reveal my facedown trap, D-Shield!"

(D-Shield – Type/Trap/Normal.

When an Attack Position "Destiny HERO" monster you control is targeted for an attack: Target it; change it to Defense Position and equip it with this card. The equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle.)

Diamond Dude knelt down, an aura springing up. Sunburn's attack consumed him, but he was revealed to be safe. Jaden's life points sadly took a hit.

Jaden: 7900

He took a card from his hand, playing it facedown. This move signaled him ending his turn. Aster drew, smirking up a storm. First blood was his! Now all he had to do was-

"I activate my facedown, Mask Corruption and use it on Sunburn!"

The ooze consumed the monster, making her scream. The puddle of ooze soon rose up...and with it, the temperature of the males. The reason?

A woman with long legs, a slim waist, pouty burgundy lips, black hair that cascaded down her back in silky tresses, pink eye shadow and crimson eyes. But the real reason was the massive orbs before them, held by a simple bikini top. The top had an 'X' on the right and an 'O' on the left. Her lower area soon rose out of the muck and they saw her heart shaped ass in tight leather pants. Two massive wings unfurled. She struck a pose, making many boys gain nosebleeds at her chest bouncing.

"Meet Wicked HERO Lust!"

(Wicked HERO Lust – LV/********, Attribute/FIRE, ATK/3000, DEF/3000, Type/Fiend/Fusion/Effect.

This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Mask Corruption". The summoning of this card is treated as Fusion Summon. When this card is summoned, place 1 Lust Counter on all monsters in play (other then this card). Whenever your opponent summons a monster to the field, place 1 Lust Counter on it. Monsters with 1 or more Lust Counters on them are placed in Attack Mode. This card cannot be destroyed in battle with a monster that has 1 or more Lust Counters on it. When this card is destroyed by battle OR removed from the field, select 1 monster with 1 or more Lust counters on them. Take control of that monster. Remove 1 Lust counter from the controlled monster at each player's End Phase. When all Lust Counters are removed, return the monster. If this card leaves the field, add 1 Spell card from your GY to your hand.)

A blazing heart appeared on Diamond Dude. He slowly stood making Aster confused. His monster was in defense mode! Jaden chuckled.

"Lust has a way with both male and female monsters. When summoned, she places a Lust Counter on all monsters in play, save herself. What's more if that monster has one or more LC's, they switch to attack mode." Jaden explained.

"Well, too bad for you, your new monster is going on a trip! I play Destiny HERO Doom Lord!"

The tiny monster appeared, a blazing heart on its chest. Aster used its effect to send Lust two turns into the future. Jaden gained a spell card from his GY, explaining it was Lust's effect.

Should she leave the field, he got to gain a spell. Course, that wasn't all she did.

"Doesn't matter! While Doom Lord cannot attack, my Diamond Dude can! So-"

Aster stopped when he saw Diamond Dude on Jaden's side of the field. Jaden laughed, explaining Lust's effect in greater detail. Any time she was sent to the grave or removed, a monster with a lust counter became his until the lust counter was removed. Seems Aster's move had a side effect.

Aster growled, placing a card and ending his turn. The blazing heart vanished and Dude returned to his side. Jaden drew his card, looking at it. He smirked, seeing it was one of the Evil HEROes. His thoughts were interrupted by a bell tolling.

Prison – Clock Counters: 2

"I first special summon Evil HERO Infernal Prodigy. Next, I tribute him for Evil HERO Sinister Necrom in attack mode!"

(Evil HERO Sinister Necrom – LV/*****, Attribute/DARK, ATK/1600, DEF/1800, Type/Fiend/Effect.

You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 "Evil HERO" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Evil HERO Sinister Necrom". You can only use this effect of "Evil HERO Sinister Necrom" once per turn.)

Sinister looked exactly like Necroshade in terms of body and armor. The main difference was-

"Hey, is that Emperor Zedd?" A first year student asked which made many people laugh.

Even Jaden cracked a grin. Sinister looked at firstie that spoke before giving him a thumbs up. Said first year blushed much the amusement of the school. Clearly being compared to the Mighty Morphin' Rangers main villain was a good thing in the Evil HERO's book. Jaden looked at Sinister who nodded.

"I play Mask Corruption and use it on Sinister!"

The ooze consumed the monster. Screams of pain and agony echoed out before the ooze settled.

"I summon Wicked HERO Gluttony!"

(Wicked HERO Gluttony – LV/********, Attribute/DARK, ATK/2500, DEF/1900, Type/Fiend/Fusion/Effect.

This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Mask Corruption". The summoning of this card is treated as Fusion Summon. Once per turn, select 1 monster on the field. Equip it to this card. You can only equip 1 card at a time with this effect. This card gains ATK equal to the original ATK of the selected monster. As long as the selected monster is equipped, this card can use its effect like its own. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy the equipped card instead. When this card leaves the field, add 1 "HERO" monster from your deck or GY.)

Gluttony rose up from the ooze. It was a large, heavyset and rotund monster, wearing a cape and mask. It reminded many of a kid wearing a hero costume. But the yellow eyes and sharp teeth told them this was no mere child playing dress up. In the center of his stomach was a massive hole, a crimson orb glowing. Jaden smirked.

"I use Gluttony's effect! I absorb Destiny HERO Doom Lord!"

"WHAT?!" Aster screamed out.

Everyone watched as the hole became a gale. Doom Lord's cape flapped and fluttered, the monster struggling to stay in place. Sadly, it was a losing battle and he was sucked in. Everyone watched as Doom Lord became a tattoo on the chest of the monster.

Gluttony – ATK/2500 → 3100

"Time to show off the Sin of Gluttony's power! I can use Doom Lord's effect as long as its equipped to Gluttony!"

From the stomach, Doom Lord's chains shot out, encircling Diamond Dude. The monster vanished, making Aster's eyes widen. He was defenseless!

No, wait!

Gluttony couldn't attack due to Doom Lord's effect. Jaden smirked.

"I use my Sinister Necrom's effect. By banishing him, I special summon from my deck, Evil HERO Malicious Edge!"

The leather and spiked monster appeared, roaring in delight. Jaden pointed at Aster.

"Attack him directly, Edge!"

"I activate the trap card, Eternal Dread!" Aster called out, revealing his facedown.

The trap showed Clocktower Prison in the glow of a blood moon with a large 'D' on it.

(Eternal Dread – Type/Trap/Normal.

Place 2 Clock Counters on each "Clock Tower Prison".)

Clock Tower – Counters: 2 → 4

The sound of bells tolling echoed. Once the clock hands struck midnight, everything became a haze. The daggers of Edge struck Aster...and faded. Jaden looked at the tower.

"That card prevents you from gaining damage huh?" Jaden asked, placing a card facedown.

"That's right. You end?"

"For now." Jaden stated, drawing thanks to Prodigy.

Aster drew his card looking over his hand. He activated Destiny Draw, revealing his Captain. He discarded it and drew two cards. He saw one of them was Destiny HERO Plasma. He looked over his hand. Taking no damage was nice, but it was only a matter of time before the King drew a destruction card. He needed to get monsters out for Dreadmaster.

"I summon Fear Monger in defense mode."

The jet like monster appeared, kneeling down and crossing its arms. Jaden scowled. With Prison in play, the pierce effect of Edge was useless. But...he could make use of Doom Lord's removal effect via Gluttony. Aster placed another card facedown, ending his turn.

Jaden drew, looking at his hand. He revealed Dark World Dealings. Both duelists added a card to their hands, discarding another. Jaden then looked at Gluttony. He used Doom Lord's effect to send Fear Monger away. The King placed a card facedown, ending his turn. Aster drew, looking at his hand.

There was a flash of light and Lust was back in play. Aster groaned. How could he have forgotten?! And with Doom Lord absorbed by that Gluttony, Jaden's monsters couldn't be removed. He shook his head, playing another Fear Monger. He placed two cards facedown following that.

Fear Monger – Lust Counter: 1

"I end." Aster stated, Jaden drawing.

Before the King could make a move, Aster's Diamond Dude returned. Aster jumped on the chance provided.

"I use my facedown trap card, Destiny Fusion!"

(Destiny Fusion – Type/Trap/Normal.

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control as Fusion Material, and if you do, it cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects this turn. Only "Destiny HERO" monsters can be used as Fusion Material for a Fusion Summon using this card's effect.)

"I fuse Diamond Dude and Fear Monger together! I'm unearthing a new more powerful HERO with Destiny's backing! I fusion summon...DESTINY HERO DYSTOPIA!"

(Destiny HERO Dystopia – LV/********, Attribute/DARK, ATK/2800, DEF/2400, Type/Fusion/Warrior/Effect.

2 "Destiny HERO" monsters
If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 Level 4 or lower "Destiny HERO" monster in your GY; inflict damage to your opponent equal to that target's ATK. If this card's current ATK is different from its original ATK (except during the Damage Step) (Quick Effect): You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it, and if you do, this card's ATK becomes equal to this card's original ATK. You can only use each effect of "Destiny HERO - Dystopia" once per turn.)

The new monster appeared, everyone seeing a large blue moon behind it. The armor of the monster a dark blue with silver accents. A yellow mask with a large red D was carved on it glowed. Aster smirked as the new monster descended next to him.

"Thanks to my Dystopia's effect, I'll inflict damage equal to half of my Diamond Dude's attack points."

Jaden: 7200

"That's not all. I activate my trap card, Urban Demise!"

(Urban Demise – Type/Trap/Continuous.

When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can target 1 "Destiny HERO" monster you control; it gains 100 ATK.)

Everyone was confused; why activate that trap? Jaden was frowning. Dystopia was a new monster and thus an unknown. He didn't like it. He looked at Lust. She nodded, unfurling her wings.

"While you won't take any damage, I'll have my Lust attack your Dystopia!"

Aster just smirked. The trap card glowed and then so did Dystopia. A hole opened on its hand and it sucked in Lust, much to her and Jaden's shock. Aster laughed, seeing the monster be destroyed in such a way.

"This is the ultimate combo, Jaden! Urban demise allows a Destiny HERO I control gain a hundred points whenever you attack! Then comes Dystopia's effect. Whenever his attack points change, I can destroy a monster you control. I chose your Lust. Of course, his attack points return to normal." Aster explained, Jaden frowning.

"Seems you forgot about Lust's effect. She gives me back a Spell card in my Grave." Jaden stated, regaining Mask Corruption. "I'll set it and then use Doom Lord's power to send Dystopia two turns into the future."

The monster vanished, but Aster wasn't too worried. After all, with Prison now having five counters on it, no damage could be dealt to him. But now that Jaden knew of Dystopia's effect, he had to play it more carefully now. The dark king ended his turn with a facedown.

Aster drew, looking at his hand. Upon seeing the new card he gained, he grinned. But that grin faded when he saw that he didn't have the cards needed to summon him. Yet. He looked at his hand again.

"I summon Destiny HERO Dunker in defense mode!"

(Destiny HERO Dunker – LV/****, Attribute/DARK, ATK/1200, DEF/1700, Type/Warrior/Effect.

You can send 1 "Destiny HERO" card from your hand to the Graveyard; inflict 500 damage to your opponent.)

A tall man with dreadlocks and black armor appeared. Aster smirked.

"I use my Dunker's effect. I send one Destiny HERO of mine to the Grave and inflict five hundred points." Aster said, discarding Destiny HERO Malicious.

Dunker brought its hand up, a cruel smirk on his face. In his hand was an orb that was flung at Jaden. The king covered his hand, wincing from the attack.

Jaden: 6800

"Next, I use Malicious effect and banish him from my grave to summon another in defense mode!"

A tall man in a devil's outfit appeared, kneeling down. Aster placed two cards facedown. Jaden drew, wondering if he should use Doom-

"I activate the spell card, Mystical Space Typhoon and destroy your Doom Lord Equip!" Aster called out.

The winds picked up as Doom Lord was destroyed. Jaden just gave Aster a look. It was the deadpan look that says 'really?'.

"Need I remind you that since Doom Lord is gone, Gluttony's effect can be used? True, I can't use either of your monster's effects...but their attack points? Gluttony, absorb Dunker!"

The massive monster sucked in the smaller man, said HERO screaming as he was pulled in. That was enough to make Aster grimace.

Gluttony – ATK/2500 → 3700

"Now, Gluttony, attack! Destroy Malicious!"

The caped monster saluted and jumped into the air. It did mid-air somersaults and preformed a belly flop. When Gluttony's body rose, everyone saw the Destiny HERO float into the graveyard. Aster growled, watching as Jaden played Elemental HERO Burstinatrix in attack mode. Another card was placed face-down and the King ended his turn.

Aster drew, looking at the card. His eyes went wide at seeing D-Cubed. He grinned, checking his hand over. He knew he'd be helping Jaden out, but it would be well worth it. There was a flash and Dystopia was back. But Aster ignored the new monster, too focused on summoning his new ace.

"I summon D-Cube in attack mode!"

(D-Cubed – LV/*, Attribute/DARK, ATK/0, DEF/0, Type/Machine/Effect.

If this card is Normal Summoned: It is also treated as a "Destiny HERO" monster while face-up on the field. You can only use each of the following effects of "D Cubed" once per turn.
●You can discard up to 2 cards; Special Summon "D Cubed" from your hand, Deck, and/or GY, equal to the number discarded, also for the rest of this turn, you cannot Normal or Special Summon other monsters, except "Destiny HERO" monsters.
●If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can send 1 "Destiny HERO" monster from your Deck to the GY.)

A tiny black machine in the form of a cat appeared, a massive D on its screen. Aster then revealed Card of Sanctity, the pair drawing until they got six cards. Aster then used D-Cubed's effect, discarding two cards from his hand. Two more D-Cubed appeared.

"I Sacrifice all three of my D-Cubeds to summon...Destiny HERO PLASMA!"

The massive monster appeared in a swirl of blood and darkness. It's wings unfurled, revealing none of the trapped souls, but that did not ease Jaden's nerves. Aster smirked, commanding Plasma to absorb Gluttony. The inner wings grew tentacles, dragging the monster in. Dunker went into the grave, but Gluttony was absorbed.

"You triggered Gluttony's effect. I can add one HERO monster from my deck of grave back to my hand or extra deck."

"Take all the cards you want! It will do you no good!" Aster crowed, his Plasma getting stronger.

Plasma – ATK/1900 + 1250 → 2150

"Let's not forget that Plasma gains Gluttony's effect! So I'll use it to absorb your Burstinatrix!"

Jaden watched the fire heroine was absorbed. But he seemed calm. Too calm. Aster grit his teeth, activating D-Force.

Plasma – ATK/2150 + 1200 → 3250

"Now, PLASMA! Attack him directly!" Aster commanded, his eyes alight with glee.

The twisted hero roared, raising its right hand. The dragon head of the monster opened wide, wind being sucked in. In the center of the mouth, energy gathered into a bright pink orb. Said orb of energy was launched at Jaden, the king reacted.

"Activate facedown, A Hero Emerges."

(A Hero Emerges – Type/Trap/Normal.

When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Your opponent chooses 1 random card from your hand, then if it is a monster that can be Special Summoned, Special Summon it. Otherwise, send it to the GY.)

"That will not save you! I chose the third far right card!" Aster bellowed.

Jaden revealed the card; Clayman. He summoned the monster in defense mode. But Jaden wasn't done yet. He revealed his facedown, Mask Corruption. The ooze took Clayman who groaned.

"I summon in defense mode, Wicked HERO Greed!"

(Wicked HERO Greed – LV/********, Attribute/EARTH, ATK/2500, DEF/3000, Type/Fiend/Fusion/Effect.

This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Mask Corruption". The summoning of this card is treated as Fusion Summon. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Each time your opponent draws a card(s) outside of their Draw Phase, draw 1 card(s). Each time your opponent adds 1 or more cards from their Deck OR GY, you may select 1 card from your Deck or GY as well. When this card is sent from the Field to the GY, add 1 HERO or Spell card from your Deck OR GY to your hand.)

Greed was a emerald green skeleton monster decked out in priceless gems, adorned in gold, and wearing silk robes. A crown of golden bones sat on his head. He knelt down, crossing his arms. The blast struck, but the monster remained, cackling. Aster snarled, looking at Dystopia. But when he caught Jaden looking at a card of his, he grit his teeth. He didn't want Jaden to get another opening so the prince went about ending his turn.

Jaden calmly drew, looking at the card. He revealed it to be Pot of greed, drawing two cards. He revealed one.

"Swing of Memories allows me to regain Sunburst. Then I use the second Mask Corruption on her. Arise...Wicked HERO Pride in attack mode!"

(Wicked HERO Pride – LV/*******, Attribute/FIRE, ATK/2600, DEF/2600, Type/Fiend/Fusion/Effect.

This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Mask Corruption". The summoning of this card is treated as Fusion Summon. If this card is in attack mode, all of your opponent's monsters MUST attack this card. This card gains ATK equal to the attacking monster. Any monsters that do not attack are removed from play. If this card is destroyed by a card effect, select 1 monster and destroy it. If this card is removed from the field, Add 1 Spell card from your deck or GY to your hand.)

Pride was a red headed male with a top hat and wearing a white suit. He had a shark like smile on his face. In his hand was a large cane.

"I have Pride attack."

"Haven't you forgotten my Urban demise?! Dystopia gains a hundred points only for me to use his effect! Your pride falls!"

Pride did not lose his grin. If anything, it got wider as he was sucked into Dystopia. A card came out of Jaden's Grave which he took. Dystopia began to glow then, making Aster's eyes widen.

"Funny you should talk about Pride falling. When he is destroyed by card effects, he allows me to destroy a card. Namely, your Dystopia."

The monster blew part, leaving Plasma in play. Jaden used Swing of Memories again to gain back Clayman, only to tribute him for Elemental HERO Necroshade. He placed three cards facedown, ending his turn.

Aster drew, only to hear Jaden call out. He was using Mask Corruption to bring out another Wicked HERO. It absorbed Necro who screamed in pure agony. A large figure rose out of the muck. It had six arms, clothed in emerald colored armor with black linings. In each hand was a different weapon, all covered in gems and gold encrusted. His face was that of a Dragon's, onyx scales with deep cerulean eyes.

(Wicked HERO Envy – LV/*******, Attribute/DARK, ATK/3000, DEF/2900, Type/Fiend/Fusion/Effect.

This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Mask Corruption". The summoning of this card is treated as Fusion Summon. (Quick Effect): Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can select 1 card in either player's GY; this card gains the effect of the selected card until the End Phase of the turn. When this card is destroyed by battle, send every card on the field and in both player's hand to the GY.)

Jaden looked at Aster who frowned. Something was wrong. Why would Jaden play that card? The Prince shrugged it off. He continued his turn. He was about to have Plasma attack when Envy suddenly glowed brightly.

"I used a Quick play Spell. Blessings from the Stars. This card doesn't do much on its own."

(Blessings from the Stars – Type/Spell/Quick-play. Select 1 monster on the field; increase its level by three.)

"I use it on Envy making him a level ten monster."

Envy – LV/******* → **********

It was no big deal. Aster continued with the attack, not realizing the trap until it was far, far too late. Plasma charged its dragon's head, letting loose with the beam of dark energy. But once again, Envy glowed.

"I use Envy's effect. I can select any card from either of our graves and his effect becomes it. I choose from my grave...Mask Corruption two!"

"What?! When did that card make it into the Grave?!" Aster cried out, worried. Had Jaden sent it there or had he?! He couldn't remember!

There was only one card that even he doubted Plasma could be immune to even with D-Force.

The ooze surrounded Envy who cackled in delight. Everyone felt their spines tingle and their hair stand on end. The air became cold and icy. Aster's breath could be seen and he knew that the monster had been chosen.

"And Lo, when the fourth seal broke, I heard a voice speak, 'Come'. And come it did. A figure on a pale horse, his name never uttered and with him all of Hades rode." Jaden intoned. "Come, Vile HERO Death."

Death rose out of the pool of bubbling and sizzling ooze. His wings unfurled and the chains clanked as he rose. His crimson eyes gazed lazily at Plasma, who stepped back in fear. Aster scowled. Knowing what he knew, Plasma wouldn't be able to scratch Death, let alone do any damage. D – Force would protect, but for how long was the case. Jaden had a variety of cards that could force him to discard the card.

"Plasma, cancel your attack." Aster snarled, gritting teeth at the command.

Plasma flew back to his master's side, Aster frowning. He ended his turn, Jaden drawing. He looked over his hand before smirking.

"I play Band of HEROes."

(Band of HEROes – Type/Spell/Normal.

Both players select 1 level 5 or higher HERO monster in their graveyards. Special summon them. (If they have any summoning conditions, they are ignored). Increase the attack of both HERO monsters by 1000.)

"I choose my Malicious Edge. Who do you choose?"

"Dystopia of course!" Aster snarled, the monster reappearing along with Edge.

Edge – ATK/2600 + 1000 → 3600

Dystopia – ATK/2500 + 1000 → 3500

"Death, attack Dystopia."

"SHIT!" Aster swore, forgetting about the deadly monster.

"Urban will just make Dystopia powerful and destroy Death!" A SoL member shouted.

"No." Sartorius said, clasping his hands.

Sartorius stated that Death could not be destroyed by battle or by card effect. It could only be removed, but even then it would make things difficult. Add in that Jaden took no damage and Dystopia would be destroyed, inflicting damage to Aster, he would have to be more careful.

"But what about Plasma? Surely he can..." another protested, Sartorius shaking his head.

"Again, no. With Plasma, the two are in a stalemate. Death cannot destroy Plasma due to D-Force, but Plasma cannot destroy Death by battle. Absorbing it would be a boon, but Aster has already used Gluttony's effect for the Fire Heroine." Sartorius stated.

"Then they are an impasse for now, brother." Serena said, making Sartorius nod.

Aster watched as Dystopia try to escape Death's grasp, but failed. The energy shot out, crashing into him and making him hiss.

Aster: 5200

"Nice one!" Syrus shouted, everyone of the EoD agreeing. Jaden placed a card facedown and ended his turn. Aster drew, looking over his hand. He saw the card he had drawn was the card he needed!

"I play Hidden Armory!"

(Hidden Armory – Type/Spell/Normal

Send the top card of your Deck to the GY; add 1 Equip Spell from your Deck or GY to your hand. You cannot Normal Summon/Set the turn you activate this card.)

Aster sent the top card of his deck to the grave. Both Jaden and he saw it was Dasher. He added a card to his hand, then revealed another.

"Hero's Bond! Since I have Plasma, I special summon from my hand Elemental HERO Sparkman! Then I equip him with Light Laser!"

(Light Laser – Type/Spell/Equip

Equip only to a LIGHT Warrior-Type monster. Remove from play any monsters that battle with it at the end of Damage Step.)

Sparkman gained the sword, igniting it and assuming the Do-kan stance from the Star Wreck series. Jaden did not react to the move. He merely crossed his arms. Aster was unnerved by the move; why would Jaden be so...unconcern about his monster?! The facedown...it had to be!

That was when Aster had recalled the card Jaden had placed. He was struck the realization; had Jaden planned for this!? That card had to be for Sparkman and only Sparkman! But Plasma...Plasma was immune to the effects! He cackled like a madman.

"Nice try, Yucky! But I caught onto your plan! You wanted me to play Sparkman...but guess what! That facedown is not gonna help you! PLASMA! ATTACK!"

Plasma roared, charging its attack. With a rush of wind, it was launched. Death did not seem concerned, instead it seemed...

Amused.

"It seems you made him snap, my King." Death intoned, Jaden nodding.

"Good. You were right, Aster...this trap WAS for Sparkman...but not in the way you think! GO! ATTACK GUIDANCE ARMOR!"

"WHAT?!" Aster gasped out.

(Attack Guidance Armor – Type/Trap/Normal.

When a monster declares an attack: Activate 1 of these effects;
● Destroy the attacking monster.
● Target 1 monster on either field, except the attacking monster; change the attack target to it and perform damage calculation.
You can only activate 1 "Attack Guidance Armor" per turn.)

"Thanks to D-Force, my armor's first effect is useless. But its second? Not so! So now the attack target is...Sparkman! And since you equipped him with Light Laser as well."

Everyone in the stands got it right away.

"Plasma is removed! True, Aster won't take damage due to Clocktower, but D-Force does not prevent Plasma from being removed!" Bastion cried out.

"Even better! Aster can't draw due to D – Force being on top of his deck! So no new cards for him!" Chazz pointed out.

Plasma's attack redirected itself to Sparkman who roared in agony as it was blasted, the Light Laser being let go. It spun through the air, cutting open the air. Plasma roared in anger and rage as the dimensional pocket sucked it in. Aster watched as his most powerful card was removed...and by his own monster! Aster turned to look at Jaden, rage burning in his eyes.

"I...End." Aster growled.

Jaden said nothing, drawing his card. He looked at it and then revealed it. O – Oversoul. Clayman returned, kneeling down. Another card was revealed.

"R – Righteous Justice. I use it to destroy your Prison."

Aster watched his line of defense crumble, allowing Dreadmaster to appear. Diamond Dude and Dasher did the same, kneeling next to him.

Dreadmaster – ATK & DEF/? → 3500

Jaden ended his turn, knowing that Dreadmaster's effect would last for two rounds. Aster didn't draw, but used Malicious' effect to gain his final one. Then he sacrificed it, Dude, and Dasher for Dogma.

"Not done YET! I use Destiny Rebirth!"

(Destiny Rebirth – Type/Spell/Normal.

Select up to 2 "Destiny HERO" monsters in your GY; Special Summon them.)

Dash and Dude returned, kneeling once more.

Dreadmaster – ATK & DEF/3400 + 3500 (2100+1400) → 6900

"I have dreadmaster attack clayman!"

The larger monster in the iron mask destroyed clayman easily. But Jaden simply watched with cold eyes. Aster knew he was beaten...but he was not going to go down either. He placed his final card, ending his turn. Jaden drew, only to hear Aster's voice.

"Dogma takes away half of your life points!"

Jaden: 3400

"Now I play my facedown! Wall of Revealing Light and give up a thousand points to prevent Death from attacking me!" Aster cried out.

Aster: 4400

A wall of light appeared around Death, but the Vile HERO did not rage or scream. It merely folded its wings to give itself more room. Jaden simply revealed the card he had in his hand. Aster's eyes widened at seeing a coliseum rise up around the pair.

"Savage coliseum?" Aster muttered shocked.

"Yes. Now, I'll activate another spell. Raregold Armor. I'll place it on Death. Now you cannot attack my other monsters save for Death. I'll set a card facedown and end my turn." Jaden stated.

Now Aster was in a bind. Raregold made it so he could only attack that monster. Savage made it so he couldn't end his turn. D – Force prevented him from drawing a card and his ace monster was gone. Death, while protected, still had its powerful effects.

Aster could stall...but then he remembered the time limit. He grit his teeth. Once again, the King had won...but Aster had at least made him work for it! That counted for something.

"Dogma, attack!" Aster snarled.

Attacking with Dreadmaster was just asking for trouble. But Jaden smirked.

"Activate trap, Dark Spirit of the Silent!"

(Dark Spirit of the Silent – Type/Trap/Normal.

Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack. Negate that attack, and select another face-up monster your opponent controls. That monster attacks instead. (If it is in face-up Defense Position, change it to Attack Position.)

Aster's eyes went wide, seeing Dogma stop dead.

"I choose your more powerful Dreadmaster." Jaden said coldly, making Aster scream to the heavens.

Dreadmaster charged at Death, fists raised. The larger monster went through the wall of light easily. Its fists raised high came crashing down on Death. The cloaked monster simply blocked the attack with one of its wings. Chains slithered out and wrapped around the monster. Dreadmaster groaned, struggling to get free. But Death did not let him go. Placing a hand on him, the monster became a condensed orb of energy.

"Time to see if all that time playing Apocalypse Basketball with the others was worth it." Death muttered to himself.

What would come next would go down in history as the most comical sight ever seen at Central, before and after.

Many watched as Death, LITERAL DEATH, gained a basketball outfit. It actually dribbled the orb of energy, rushing down the arena like it was a court. Dogma rushed to intercept, making it an actual game of basketball. Death stopped short, but continued to dribble the orb.

Dogma moved to steal, but Death SLAMMED the orb down, the orb bouncing up at mach three. Everyone began to laugh at the orb smacking Dogma in the face, making him reel back on his feet. Death caught the orb, dribbling around the dazed Dogma. Dash and Diamond Dude moved to block as well. Dasher rushed around Death, kicking up a storm of wind and dust. Death rolled its eyes, tossing the orb into his legs.

Dasher stepped on the ball and began to roll around like a circus clown doing a routine. Diamond Dude tried to help the monster, but Dasher's flailing arms cold cocked him in the chin. All of the audience were now howling in laughter at the antics of the monsters. Aster gained a popped vein, snarling.

"STOP LAUGHING AT ME!" Aster bellowed, but it just made the laughter go higher.

By this time, Dasher hit a little crack in the arena floor and went sailing. Dasher's head collided with a now recovered Dogma's and down they both went, swirls in their eyes. The laughter reached a frenzied pitch at that which just made Aster more mad.

Death picked up the orb of an equally dizzy Dreadmaster, seeing the swirls. It chuckled sinisterly at the now wide open Aster.

"Here boy! ČÅŦČĦ!"

Jaden's eyes blinked. Death was using the Old Tongue? To most mortals like him, it just sounded like a normal. But to Aster? It was an unholy scream that made him pause. The orb slammed into Aster's lower regions making the males all stop laughing and wince.

The resulting explosion threw him off the Arena, landing hard into the matted arena walls.

Aster: 4400 – 6900 → 0

The holograms faded, but Jaden held Death's card up.

"You did that to embarrass him further didn't you?" Jaden said, a knowing twinkle in his eyes.

"I confirm nor deny anything, your majesty." Death replied, though Jaden thought he could hear cheekiness in that dry, raspy voice of Death's.

Sartorius was furious; not with Aster, no. He was furious at his group. They had laughed at the antics of those monsters along with the EoD. Aster had been broken by the laughter, no doubt a plan of Jaden's or those insufferable Duel Spirits. He stood up, hearing his name being called. He fingered the deck box that contined, not his Arcana Deck, but the Deck of the King.

Jaden turned to meet the mortal possessed by the Light of Ruin. Subconsciously, his duel aura flared. The Light's did the same. The two energies crashed against one another, the air becoming tense and oppressive.

Everyone in the stands felt their hairs stand on end.

They thought the last duel was gonna be a hell of one? This...this would be the duel that would be seared into their memories for the rest of their lives. Sheppard, sensing this, stood up suddenly.

"We will now take a hour break for lunch and restrooms. Duelists! Use this time to readjust your decks for the finals of the Genex tournament!"

Sartorius and Jaden didn't seem to hear. Jaden's stomach then growled loudly, followed by Sartorius's. Both came out of their stare down, gaining light blushes on their faces.

That broke the tension in the air. Everyone chortled at the two as they walked away, but it was a good laugh that they needed.

Still, they could feel unease in the air.

And done! But it looks like the main event is about to come. From me to you all, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
