"Teheeheeheehee! You should've known better than to think you could take me on, Rex! It's time you remembered your place as my lesser! Great Moth, Tornado of Doom!"
Rex screamed as Weevil's ace monster tore through Mighty Dino King Rex, reducing the last of his Life Points to zero and knocking him against the far wall. As his body crashed against its surface with a stiff and thunderous crack, his Duel Disk's beeping filled the air, announcing his loss to the stands.
"AND THERE YOU HAVE IT, FOLKS!" the MC declared. "Weevil Underwood does it again! It's become something of a routine now, but Rex Raptor is again… Defeated!"
Defeated.
Such was the word that marked his entire career. Loss after loss. Failure after failure. Trudging along after Weevil. But while his old adversary had found success, he alone kept succumbing until, finally…
"Whaddya mean, 'You're kicking me down to the Minors?!'"
"Please, Rex. We need results, and you've given us anything but! It's time we started rebuilding your image. But to do that, we must start from scratch!"
"What?! You sayin' that I'm the problem?! Screw this joint. I'm outta here!"
"Rex, wait!"
But of course, he didn't. Why should he listen to these losers? He wasn't gonna keep playing second fiddle. He was tired of it. It was his turn!
"Fufufu… I agree, Rex. You deserve more. Far more. And if you take this offer I'm giving, I swear to you that you'll have it."
He tore his eyes away from his drink and locked them on his addressor. Across from him, Wisteria Fujiwara smiled.
'Ha! Just as planned,' she thought.
TAG FORCE ALTERNATIVE: LEARNING TO DUEL
LESSON FORTY-FOUR
THE MINORS
"You know, Konami… It's been a few days. WHY ARE YOU ONLY NOW CALLING?!"
He winced from Jasmine's incessant screeching and covered his ears with his hands.
"Hey, how 'bout a 'Hello, how are you?'" he asked, glaring at his laptop. "It's not like I haven't been busy or anything—"
"You idiot! Jaden's been hurt!" she replied. "Alexis dragged everyone on some crazy mission with Bastion, and— Are you listening?!"
"Uh-huh," he replied, skimming through his cards while listening to Jasmine drone on. He couldn't care less about Jaden's mishap. Slifer Red business didn't concern him. Other than Jasmine and Bastion, most of the school still hated him anyway. Even so—
"What? So Alexis's plan blew up in her face? Serves her right. What happened to Jaden? Did he trip on his Duel Disk or something?"
"Actually, he—"
"No, never mind. I don't have time to worry about weaklings. Is Bastion around? I tried to call him, but he didn't pick up when I did."
"Of course, he didn't! He's with Alexis and the others at the infirmary!" Jasmine shouted. "And wait, what are you calling him for?!"
"I need to make sure my Deck's perfect."
"Your Deck?" she frowned. "Why's that matter? Weren't you listening? Jaden's been hurt!"
He rolled his eyes. "Again with this? What? Was he out playing frisbee?"
"No!" Jasmine snapped. "Alexis said he got hurt saving everyone from Duel Spirits!"
'Duel Spirits?' he thought, narrowing his eyes. "You said Bastion's there with him, too?"
"Yeah," Jasmine said, "but he's doing fine. Jaden's the one who got wounded! From what I hear, it looks pretty bad. He's been out ever since they got back!"
"Is that right?" Konami frowned. "I should've expected as much. It's not like Jaden's particularly strong. He should've left things to the others."
Jasmine gaped. "Wha— Konami!"
"What? You know I'm right," he shrugged. "Jaden's one the weakest Duelists we have. That slacker couldn't even beat Chazz."
"That's not the point! How can you be so callous about this, you moron?! They could've been killed, like me, remember?! In fact, they're lucky they weren't!"
"They came back fine, didn't they?" he asked, shrugging off Jasmine's argument. "I'm sure Jaden'll wake up sooner or later. He's weak, but he's got a good spirit."
Jasmine glowered. "Konami, you're being rude. Way more than usual. Did something happen?"
"Oh, so now you're interested?" he asked, rolling his eyes. "Well, forget it. I've wasted enough of my time worrying about other people. Just make sure you're watching the Pro Leagues tonight. I promise you'll see something good," he smirked.
Her eyes narrowed. "The dueling channel? What does that have to do with anything? Wait, before that, what happened with it? You know, that whole 'Exshish' thing!"
"Exshish?" he asked.
"Oh, come on! You know what I mean! That black card! Did Kaiba help you?"
Konami frowned. "No. But I figured things out."
"Huh? How'd you do that?"
"How do you think? I used it."
"What?! But it's dangerous-!"
"It was out of my hands. It was either that… or dying."
"Oh, stop being so dramatic! You know better than to take that card out for a spin!"
"I didn't!" he snapped. "If you have to know, Kami's dad sent an Assassin to kill me! And they would've succeeded if I didn't use that card to come back and finish them first!" he yelled. "But sure, keep moaning to me about Jaden! I'm dying to hear how he is."
"Wait, what?! Konami, I—"
He scoffed. "You know what? Forget it. I wanted to try giving you good news for once, but you're clearly too busy to listen. When you're done worrying about your arrogant friend and the consequences of her actions, then talk to Kami and have her fill you in. I've got a Duel to prepare for."
Click.
He hung up the call, ignoring any last-second cries Jasmine made. He should've known it would be useless to call. They always had some sort of problem. Alexis this, Jaden that. Couldn't those fools handle anything? While he was out here doing his best to excel, they did nothing but give him more problems!
"Useless," he muttered, fighting off the headache threatening to cost him his Duel. He was just so tired, so stressed…
"Trouble in paradise, darling?"
"...!"
Konami's eyes widened. He spun in his chair to find Wisteria standing behind him. She pulled her lips into an innocent grin as she pressed her assets against him.
"You know you don't have time to get too distracted," she sang, wrapping her arms around him.
"Didn't I tell you that it'd be best if you forgot about your friends for a while? They don't understand you. Not like I do. And they won't be able to face what's coming. If we're going to defeat Professor Mackenzie, then we have to strengthen ourselves. Weaklings like them will just get in the way. This boy that girl mentioned is proof. They can't keep up. Not with us. Not with the power we have."
"Wisteria…"
"Hmhmhm," she purred as she leaned down toward him. She brushed a stray hair out of her face and pressed her lips against his. Konami froze for a moment, his eyes widening as he felt tongue. Wisteria moaned and crawled onto his lap, straddling him in his chair.
"I did everything I told you I would," she said with a whimsical sigh. Her hands traveled up and over his shoulders as she leaned in to speak in his ear. "I told you the truth, let you meet Franz, and set up your big Duel with Rex. I've kept my end of the bargain, Konami… Won't you grant me this much?"
Konami said nothing as she kissed him again.
"I want you, Konami. Be mine," she hissed. "Together, we can do whatever we want. All you have to do is say yes."
She moved a hand down toward his crotch…
"Wisteria, you know we can't," he said.
Her fingers stopped.
"Why?" she scowled. "Because of her? Your puppet? You're not together. You told me as much!"
"Which is why I even let things go this far," he said. "But until I get a proper rejection from her, I'm not going to ruin my chances. Not for you, and not when she's warming up to me. I mean, I'm a lot!"
Wisteria licked her lips.
"You bet you are. And deserving of far more than her. I'm better than her. In every sense of the word!"
He smirked.
"She'd say the same thing."
"Tch!"
"Don't get me wrong, you're really hot. And I mean really hot," he breathed, "but I have no intention of being your thing… andI'vekindaseenyoutalktoyourself."
"Eh?"
Wisteria blinked.
"Wait, you've… seen… me… talk to myself…?"
"..."
"..."
'SO THIS IS YOUR FAULT, YOU WEAKLING!' she thought.
'get off him already! i already told you, i don't consent! I don't!' screamed her other.
'IT'S NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT! THIS IS MY BODY NOW, AND I WANT HIM!'
'well, you can't have him!'
'YES, I CAN!'
'no, you can't!'
"I CAN!" she screeched.
Konami sighed as a dark look came over the girl still seated in his lap.
'There she goes again,' he thought. 'Why do I always attract the crazy ones? Still, though… That was close. I've gotta start paying attention.'
He rose to his feet. Wisteria gasped as he carried her toward the door.
"D-Darling?! Are you taking me here?! Do it, Konami! Ravish me! Silence my echo!"
He opened the door and dropped her outside.
"See you later."
SLAM!
"Eh?! Ehhh! Wait, Konami! Let me in! Let me innnnnnn! I just wanna make a few babies with you! Even just one is okay!"
Ignoring Wisteria's cries from outside, Konami steadied himself. He glanced at the tent in his pants and blushed.
'I'm lucky that hadn't been you,' he thought.
His cell phone rang.
"Speak of the devil," he muttered, seeing the ID.
"Oh, hey, Kami," he answered after a deep breath. "How're things going?"
"That's my line," the ojou huffed. "Are you ready for your big debut? In less than an hour, you'll be one of the new faces of Umi no Corp! Are you nervous yet?"
"A little. I mean, I'm going up against the Rex Raptor. Sure, he hasn't been doing well lately, but that doesn't change the fact he's a Pro."
"Is that worry I hear in your voice? How strange. It doesn't suit you. The Konami I know would be laughing right now about how everything's going as planned."
"Yeah, well… that Duel Assassin put a few things in perspective."
"A-Ah, yes… That. Have you heard anything from my father?"
"No. And quite frankly, I don't think I will," he said. "Have you heard anything?"
"No," she admitted. "He's avoiding my class. It's almost like he's gone off the grid."
"I see," he murmured. "How are you doing?"
There was silence on the other end of the line.
"O… Ohohohoho! As if you even need to ask! We might've gotten off to a rocky start, but now everything's coming up Kami!"
"That's not what I mean. I mean, your dad—"
"There's no love lost between us," she said. "And just because he's off licking his wounds doesn't mean I have to, too. You've come this far, and you've kept your word. It's only right I give my favor. Just as you once made me your tool, today, you'll become mine."
Konami laughed. The hollow sound reverberated through the locker room.
"A woman after my own heart. Just know that you've got competition. A certain someone came in here just now and tried to stake her own claim."
"Wha-?!" she bristled. "Not Fujiwara?!"
"Don't worry. You're still first in my heart," he replied.
"M-Moron! What are you saying?! Don't tell me you were being lewd?! E-Enough! I only want to hear of your dueling exploits from now on!"
"Yes, yes. Don't worry, Kami. She just kissed me, that's all," he chuckled. "But if I'm being honest, I was really tempted. Surely I deserve a reward?"
He could practically hear her blushing through the phone.
"K-Know your place, commoner! Talk to me after you prove yourself here! Until then, focus on winning!"
"Who do you think you're talking to?" he asked with a satisfied smirk. "I might be nervous, but I'm no punk. There's no way in hell I won't win!"
"Hmph! You'd better. Don't forget, you're representing my company! And the last thing Umi no Corp needs right now is you giving us a bad name!"
"Ha! As if my darling would lose!" Wisteria butt in with a laugh. Konami backpedaled away in surprise as she snatched the phone from his fingers. "Don't worry, Kami. You can watch his dark debut from Academy Island. Meanwhile, I'll be here by his side, warming his bed. And his body~"
"Wha-?! Fujiwara, you skank!" she screamed. "Stay away from my company's property!"
"Ara? But Konami's my property, too. Or have you forgotten my contributions?"
"Haaaaaaaaah?!"
"Without my say-so, our darling would've never gotten your father's approval, and don't forget his sponsorship is with Fujiwara Flowers as well. He might be wearing your colors out there, but he'll be wearing mine, too. And unlike you, I made sure to come and witness his debut in person."
"T-That's not fair! In the first place, you set everything up too quickly! There's no way I'd be allowed to leave so suddenly!"
"Oh? Making excuses?" Wisteria laughed into the back of her hand. "Rest assured, I'll take good care of Konami as thanks for your absence."
"Konami can take care of himself, you hag! And that's Umino-sama to you!" Kami snapped.
"What's that? I'm sorry. I can't hear you. I think- the connection- it's-" she hung up. "Fufufu… One less person who'll intrude on our little lovenest."
"...Oi. When did I say you could take my phone?"
"..."
"..."
He opened the door and dropped her outside.
"You're throwing me out again, aren't you?!"
SLAM.
-GX-
Miles away on Academy Island, Kami seethed in her room.
"Ugly witch! The only thing you have going for you is those slabs of meat!" she screamed. She hurled her cell phone across the room, panting as it fell on her bed. "No, no… Calm down, Kami. It's fine. Everything's fine. Forget about him and that no-good slut, and focus only on what matters."
She took a deep breath, calming herself.
"Umi no Corp will be fine," she said. "He'll win against Rex, become a Pro, and give me a foothold at last. And as for father…" she pursed her lips. The man had gone dark since they last spoke. Probably cooped up after seeing how his assassin had been utterly beaten.
'Serves you right,' she thought. 'This is our chance to do something I want! To finally give Umi no Corp a foothold in changing the world of Duel Monsters! I won't let you interfere with this. Not you or anyone else! If it means having to put up with that harlot, then fine! That's a small price to pay for a weapon!'
And, oh, what a great weapon she had.
She scarcely believed it when Konami had called her. She just wished she could see Alexis's reaction when her words got thrown back in her face.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
A sound at the door interrupted her spiraling thoughts. She rose to her feet and opened it, locking eyes with one Jasmine Makurada.
She closed the door.
"..."
"..."
"..."
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!
"What do you want?!"
"What did you do to Konami?!"
"Hah?"
Was this a joke? Was he going around laying pipe like some kind of horndog? First, Wisteria. Now, Jasmine. Who's next?! Alexis? Fontaine?! Feeling a growing headache, Kami narrowed her eyes at her visitor.
"No. I'm not dealing with this."
She swung the door back in her face.
Or she would have, had Jasmine not placed her foot in the way of the door frame, keeping it just open enough to continue to harass her nemesis.
"He doesn't call us all weekend, and suddenly he starts acting like he used to?" she said. "Something's not right, and he said that you knew what's up, so hurry and spill!"
"The only thing I'm going to spill is your guts if you don't get out of my room!" Kami said. "I have no obligation to answer to you! You're not better than me, Makurada!"
"That's Makurada-sama to you, you bitch!" she uttered, pushing the door back.
Kami fought her to no avail. "Y-You damn gorilla! Aaah!"
Jasmine forced the door open with one hard shove and knocked Kami back. The blue-haired ojou tripped over her couch and landed with a loud "oof!"
"Ah, sorry," Jasmine said, though she didn't look sorry at all.
A pillow promptly crashed into her face.
"Ohhhhohohohohoho!" Kami laughed as she watched Jasmine fall. "Thought you'd attack me in my own room, did you? Such arrogance! You're a fool!"
"Y-You…!" Jasmine bristled and hurled the pillow back at her. "I didn't come here to attack you, Kami, but I can if you're up for a fight!"
The two girls glared at each other, sparks clashing as their eyes met.
Jasmine sighed.
"Look," she started, raising her hands, "we both know we don't like each other. And we don't have to. I'm just here to find out what's going on with Konami. He called me earlier and told me to put it on the Pro Leagues for some reason, but he didn't say why. Just that you knew something about what's up."
Kami pursed her lips.
"Oh, is that all? Hmph, you're so annoying. If you must know, my associate is making his dueling debut."
"D-Debut? Wait, what?!" Jasmine screeched, grabbing Kami's shoulders. "What do you mean, 'Debut?!' You don't mean… he's going Pro?!"
"I'm not surprised a lowly commoner like yourself wouldn't be aware," Kami laughed. She puffed out her chest proudly. "I put in quite a lot of work for Konami! What were you doing? Oh, that's right. Being useless like usual. You couldn't even bother to stand up for him when Alexis went on her… rant."
"That's not true!" Jasmine shouted. "I stood up for Konami plenty of times! It's not my fault that Alexis didn't listen to anything I was saying, got that?!"
"Yeah, whatever," Kami snorted, rolling her eyes dramatically. "How'd that work out for her, by the way? Oh, wait. That's right. I don't care."
Jasmine glowered and balled her fist. "Listen here, you-!"
'No,' she thought. 'This asshole, she wants me to lose it. I bet this is another of her stupid tricks, but I'm not gonna fall for it!'
She took a deep breath and uncurled her fingers.
"I'm not here to talk about her," she sneered. "But if I find out that you're doing this just to humiliate Konami later, then mark my words, Kami. This fist is beating your face."
"Hmph!" Kami quickly crossed her arms. "You don't scare me, Makurada. But worry not. Konami's in safe hands. My hands, that is."
Jasmine scoffed and grabbed the remote.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" Kami snapped.
"What Konami told me to do," she replied. "I'm watching the Pro League Duel Channel."
-GX-
"Welcome back, Duel Fans, to another exhilarating match of the night! It's me, Emm Cee, here at the Kaiba Dome for tonight's Duel Monsters Pro League! Tonight, we've got a hot Duel coming up between our good pal Phoenix and Weevil, but before we can watch these two stars go at it, that's right! It's Minor League Matchups! A brand new star is set to join our rising aspiring Duelists, but they'll have their work cut out for them as they come face-to-face with a Major League Legend! It's Do-or-Die time, but before we get into all the nitty-gritty details, let's go over to Todd with the new previews for some upcoming movies!"
"Thanks, Emm! Todd here, and I've got a real kicker for you all this week! Dogoran: Minus One continues to destroy the Box Office numbers! With the upcoming Minus One, Minus Color set to debut next month, is it any wonder that many are calling this the best modern Dogoran movie? Damn, I hope we get a card of this thing. This game needs more giant Kaiju!"
"Understood, Todd! Maybe our friends at Industrial Illusions will hear you! But until they do, we'll have to settle for the monsters we'll see here tonight! And on that note, let's give a warm welcome to our next competitors! They're set to step onto the field soon, so we'll see if they've got what it takes!"
In the locker room, Konami scowled as he stared in the mirror before him. This was it. The moment that would finally make or break his career. How long had he schemed for this moment? He never thought it'd happen like this. Much less that it'd only serve as a stepping stone to a new stage.
"Haa…" he took a deep breath and glanced at the deck strewn before him: his only weapon against the greatest foe he'd faced in his life. As he heard the crowd's cheers ramp up following his opponent's arrival, he grabbed his deck and slid it into his holster.
It was time he made his next move.
"Ready, darling?" Wisteria asked from behind him with a cold smile.
"Yeah," he said, donning his jacket. "Tonight, they'll all learn my name."
-GX-
"Welcome back to the Minor League, avid viewers! Here's hoping tonight's Duel is one that'll keep you all fired up for the night! On one hand, we have Rex Raptor, recently fallen from the Pro League!"
The sound of cheers and boos filled the air as the beanie-wearing Pro stepped out, sporting a scowl as he walked to the center of the arena and shuffled his Deck.
"Aw, shut it!" he snapped at the crowd, glaring at them through sharp eyes. "I didn't come here just to hear your yappin'! If I win this, I'm back in the Pros!"
As if uncaring of Rex's words, Emm Cee continued to showboat.
"And on the other, a recent addition sponsored by Fujiwara Flowers! We don't know his name, we don't know his face, but we sure hope he can throw down! Everyone, let's give a warm welcome to the Great… wait, that's his title? Well, you're the one paying me, boss. The Great and Unquenchable Red Hat!"
Stepping out as a shower of red sparks erupted from his side of the entrance, Konami made his way down the walkway to join Rex on the field. Clad in the sleek red jacket and hat he'd worn in his time in the Underground, he had no doubt that those who'd object his identity wouldn't learn of it until it was too late. That being said…
"That's him, right?" Jasmine asked back on the island. "He'd totally come up with such a lame name."
Kami bristled. "Fujiwara Flowers?! Wisteria, you little witch!"
"Ha! What's with the dramatic entrance?" Rex asked back on the field. "Tryin' to compensate with your bad skills? That sort of thing won't work, y'know?"
"Compensate?" Konami asked. "Say that when you're not carrying Little D. I came here with only one goal tonight. And that's to devour you, Raptor!"
"The hell you say? The only thing getting devoured here is you, Red Hat!" Rex snapped. "By the time I'm finished with you, everyone will remember why I'm a big deal!"
The two boys turned on their Duel Disks and glared at each other beneath their red headwear.
"LET'S DUEL!"
"Alright, folks! Let's get this show on the road!" Emm Cee cried.
"I'll go first!" Konami said upon drawing his starting hand. "And since I just talked about your Little D, I'll start by playing my own! Come forth, Lord of D.!"
A dark cry filled the arena. Wisps of black smoke spun through the air as a wicked sorcerer rose to his feet. Clad in a blue cape and bony armor, he glared at Rex with a fierce scowl, his orange skin rippling through the dark as he awaited his master's commands.
Lord of D. - LV4 - DARK - Spellcaster - (1200/1100)
"Lord of D.?" Jasmine asked. "Wait, he's not using his Ninjas?"
"Ohohohohoho!" Kami laughed into her hand. "And risk being called out by our Professors before he proves his worth? No. He's using a far different Deck. One far more powerful, too."
'And with some of the cards we added to it, there's no way he's losing this Duel!' she thought.
"I cast Flute of Summoning Dragon!" Konami continued determinedly. "By hearing my Lord of D.'s solemn song, two Dragons from my hand can be summoned!"
"Oh, great. A Dragon user," Rex groaned while clenching his hand. "As if there weren't enough of you jerks in the Pros! The Minors are full of 'em, too?"
"Oh, please. Don't think for a second those weaklings can compare to me," Konami smirked. "While we might use similar cards, my strength… will soar to new heights! Come forth, my loyal beasts, and raze this field to ashes! Pandemic Dragon! White Night Dragon! Heed your sorcerer's cry!"
As the Lord of D. placed his lips on his flute and blasted a tune, two shining lights shot from Konami's hand and joined the Lord on the field. In a single instant, two great behemoths materialized on each side of him, hissing and sneering at Rex's small form as their talons and teeth shone like steel.
White Night Dragon - LV8 - WATER - Dragon - (3000/2500)
Pandemic Dragon - LV7 - DARK - Dragon - (2500/1000)
"Ha! You think I'm scared of those old things?" Rex asked with a confident smirk.
"You will be," Konami warned. "I'll set one card and end my Turn."
"Heh. Figures. You talk a big game, but you'll need more than that to win big!" Rex said. "Lemme give you a lesson from a real Pro Leaguer! It's my turn, so I draw!"
He smirked.
"I'll start by activatin' the Continuous Spell, Jurassic Power! It lets me summon Dinos without Tributin', and increases their Attack by three hundred! Next, I'll Special Summon my Double-Headed Dino King Rex with its own effect! If I don't control any monsters, I can Special Summon him once per turn! Come on out, Dino King!"
A dual roar accompanied his words, quickly followed by a massive silhouette appearing behind him on the field. Thick, purple muscles stretched into view alongside sharp talons, and a pair of massive, horned heads emerged, snapping at each other like children!
Double-Headed Dino King Rex - LV6 - EARTH - Dinosaur - (1900/1200)
"Dino King…" Konami glowered. "Rex's most well-known monster."
"Hehe, yeah. And he's known for a reason! And that's 'cause of his cool effect!" Rex laughed. "If he's summoned, I can target a monster on the field with less Attack than my Dinos! Then, he'll destroy it! Of course, I choose to destroy your lame Lord of D.!"
Not even a second had passed before Dino King Rex lashed out with a claw, squashing Lord of D. like an insignificant bug with an amused snort and hiss.
Konami grimaced and shielded his eyes as his monster's remains scattered like glass, but he didn't even have time to register the loss before Rex started speaking again.
"And now that I've destroyed one of your lame monsters, I can Special Summon another of mine!" he laughed. "That's with the effect of my Xeno Meteorus, who I'm callin' to the field right now!"
A flaming meteor crashed onto the field beside Rex's Dino King Rex, splattering the arena with red-hot debris that made Konami shield his eyes. As he lowered his arm, he caught sight of a new dinosaur on the field; one with bone-like protrusions extending from its back and covering its face. The T-Rex-shaped dino hissed as it stepped forward from the fading crater, moving to stand beside Dino King Rex before loosing a roar of its own.
Xeno Meteorus - LV6 - FIRE - Dinosaur - (2300/200)
"Twenty-three hundred? That's not enough!"
"It's a good thing I'm not done yet, then!" Rex shot back. "'Cause Xeno Meteorus has another effect I can use by destroyin' my Dinos! All I have to do is destroy this Megazowler I've got in my hand, and then I can Special Summon a Normal Dino from my Deck… like my Frostosaurus!"
"Tch! What is this? The Ice Age now?!" Konami hissed as Rex did his combo, wincing as the flames from Xeno's arrival twisted into ice-cold winds. A frozen body formed on the field as the winds howled and spun, wrapping into a brachiosaurus-like figure that promptly released a stern roar.
Frostosaurus - LV6 - WATER - Dinosaur - (2900/700)
'With this, he can overcome Pandemic Dragon…'
"...but White Night Dragon's still stronger!" Konami roared.
"Is that what you think?" Rex smirked. "Sorry, pal. But I've got this won!"
"What?"
"You haven't forgotten, have ya?" he asked, smirking at Konami cockily. "I might have three monsters on the field right now, but I haven't Normal Summoned once!"
"...Ah!"
"You have your Dragons, but now? It's time you said hello to one of my own! I tribute my Dino King Rex and Xeno to summon the great… Tyrant Dragon!"
'It's here!'
Twin flames spiraled upward as Rex slammed the card on his field, giving rise to a figure Konami hadn't expected to see again so soon.
Mighty wings stretched outward, engulfing the field in their wretched splendor. Massive claws hung from its form, ready to plunge, rip, and tear. Gleaming green eyes shone with envy as the massive dragon formed fully, releasing a pulse of dominance that sent shivers down everyone's spine.
Stepping forward, Tyrant Dragon roared its might to them all, sending shockwaves through the stadium as its stats appeared by its side.
Tyrant Dragon - LV8 - FIRE - Dragon - (2900/2500)
As if sensing its card's presence, the dragon in Konami's heart reared its head.
Rip. Tear. Kill.
'I know,' Konami thought. 'And we will!'
But not yet. Not when Rex still had more cards up his sleeve!
"You might've come out with a pretty strong start, but like I told ya, it's not enough!" Rex said. "In the Pros, you've gotta have more than power. You've gotta have strats like mine! Sure, I might'a lost for a bit, but I'm still leagues better than you! And I'll prove it by crushing you Minor Leagues newbies! Starting with you, Red Hat! I activate Uradora of Fate!"
"Uradora…"
"..of Fate?" Jasmine wondered.
"It's a strong Spell that converts a thousand Life Points into extra Attack," Kami said. "To think Rex had a rare card like that. This Duel might be harder than I thought…"
"This Duel's over!" Rex said. "I give my Life Points to Tyrant Dragon!"
One by one, the sound of falling Life Points chimed his Duel Disk, accompanied by a red hue of power surging around Tyrant Dragon. Inch by inch, the dragon grew taller. Its nails and horns sharpened.
Konami took a step back, his eyes widening as he read its stats.
"T-Thirty-nine hundred Attack…"
Rex clenched his fist.
"You're finished. Let this be a lesson in how the Pros work! Tyrant Dragon, attack!"

By far the horniest Wisteria in all the Tagverse. Merry Christmas you dirty degenerates. JK
See you New Year's!
Next time:
"I won't... ever lose again!" Konami cried.
